I am not someone who writes reviews, but I love UBX Greenslopes so much I decided it was worth it. I have been a member now for over a year, and I cannot say enough good things about UBX Greenslopes. But without question, the best part of this club is the trainers. AJ, the owner and trainer, is the most positive, enthusiastic and encouraging trainer I have ever worked with! And Maddy and Matt, his 2 co-trainers are absolutely awesome as well. They push you just the right amount, provide encouragement when it feels hard, and are on hand to correct your form, answer any questions and always have a laugh! Being a member of this club feels like being part of a community or family, and in fact, on weekends the gym is often filled with family members and kids and it is such a lovely experience. Apart from the people, there are many other benefits of UBX training which makes it effective and fun. For example, unlike formal classes, there is no start and stop time, just turn up during opening hours, hop on a round and start. 12 rounds of 3 mins and you're done. The mixture of cardio, strength and boxing gives you a good overall workout, and with rounds changing daily, it never gets boring. You can go as slow or hard as you like, depending on your fitness level, motivation and goals, but heads up - the atmosphere and workouts can be very addictive and you'll end up wanting to go all the time, especially when you start seeing results. Unlike some other gyms, you will never feel judged here. There is a wide range of fitness levels and types, from those just starting their fitness journey to those who are very experienced. There are some members who train to keep healthy and have some fun along the way to those who want to push themselves to their limits, and there is never any judgement from other members or the trainers, just support to achieve whatever your goals are. There is also the ability to track your HR via myzone strap, which is useful to track the intensity of your workouts and see how hard you are pushing - and when you need to stop and take a breath! It also helps keep you accountable to see where you might be able to push yourself a little harder. There is also a Body Scan available in the club, which is very useful to track your body composition in detail if this important to you, such as lean body mass, skeletal muscle, fat mass etc. This is very encouraging when you can see you are making progress towards your goals, and the trainers are always happy to help discuss your results and review you training and nutrition plan to help stay on track and achieve your goals. You honestly won't regret joining UBX Greenslopes.
I was introduced to 12 Round by a friend who couldn't stop talking about it, so I gave it a try and was quickly hooked. I had been a member of other gyms before but they became boring very quickly. The way 12 Round is set up addresses all of the obstacles that make most standard fitness programs fail. You don't need to worry about getting there on time as you can start whenever you arrive; and you don't need to worry about keeping up with everyone else because you work on your own station at your own pace so you can focus on making personal progress each time. All you need to do is turn up and be willing to put in the effort. Marty, Dane and Elle provide a supportive environment that is friendly, fun and keeps you coming back again and again. It is like having a personal training session every time for a fraction (about 1/6) of what you'd normally pay. I am really happy with the results that 12 Round and the team at Greenslopes has allowed me to achieve: improved fully functional strength that helps with all areas of life (like work, playing with the kids and moving house), more confidence to tackle new activities and stress relief after a rough day at work. I would (and have) recommend 12 Round to all of my friends and family and you will be in good hands/gloves with Marty, Dane and Elle at Greenslopes.
My wife and I have been members of 12 Rnds Greenslopes for the past 3 years. During this time we have accomplished many personal goals including improvements in fitness, strength and a weight loss of almost 50kgs between us. A major reason for these achievements is due to the wonderful advice, support and training provided by the 12 Rnd Greenslopes trainers. Their positive reinforcement, constant motivation, and personal attention to our goals is what brings us back every day. The change in daily workouts makes training exciting and far from boring. Finally, one of the greatest aspects of 12 Rnds is boxing with the trainers. Memorizing combos, increasing strength, and improving our technique is the best satisfaction by far.

With supercharged energy, the trainers AJ and Matt push us to our limits with constantly changing routines and an endless supply of different workouts. Every training session is different and the activities can be altered for all abilities. Whether you've never hit a boxing bag in your life, or can combine an 8 punch combo with speed and technique; this is the one 'gym' that will get you sweating, drop a few kgs, build muscle or just burn some calories. Seriously, stop in a say "hi" and have a go. You won't regret it!
I never thought I'd be one of those people that "love gym" But I am. I blame 12RND and the trainer AJ. Every day the exercises are different from the day before, they work on different muscles and push my fitness! I love how my body has changed since I started. AJ is just fantastic, correcting my form where I need it, pushing me harder.. He's like the Steve Irwin of the gym world. It's a friendly and inviting place to get fit and healthy!
Great facility, music, workouts and team at 12RND Greenslopes. Having trained Boxing and Muay Thai for number of years I feel right at home with AJ and team as they help me stay sharp and fit now I am a little older :-) Gym suitable for all levels and the guys really take the time to personally build your skill and fitness level. No fuss and no ego's - Best gym in the area! #funkySockFriday
Fantastic and passionate trainers here, and an excellent set up. Everyone is always friendly and the challenges help you get the best out of it. There is lots of space and the stations are very well set up. The 12 round format is great and provides great flexibility so you can pop in and complete an organised and varied workout when it suits you. Great place!
Hands down BEST gym I’ve ever been to! I love that I don’t have to think about what workout I’m going to do as it’s all planned out for you, and everyday is different. I’ve also achieved great results, have found a new love for boxing and the trainers are amazing. Aj and Matt really keep everyone motivated, and make you want to come back.
This gym has it all!! workouts planned out for you and the no start times means I can just rock up and start training...makes fitting it into my day so easy! The trainers are amazing, give you that extra push when you need it and are always dancing around having fun! Tried and failed at plenty of gyms in my time, but this gym has it all!
The team at 12 round make you feel so welcome. They push you to your limits and make every workout enjoyable. I don't feel any of the stigma that is typically associated with gyms. Great sense of community and would recommend 12RND to everyone.
First class gym! Great exercise routines which changes every day. The instructors are super friendly, helpful and fun. They train with you and push you to work out harder. Definitely recommended to anyone considering getting fit!
Great culture and fabulous staff, my whole family have joined and love the new friends they have made. They have got the 12RNDS bug, I am so glad that they have been sucked into this fitness Vortex. I can already see the results
Love my morning workout at 12 Round Greenslopes! No two days are the same as the exercises change daily. The trainers are fab and work with you to ensure you get the most from your workout. Highly recommend giving it a try.
This gym is amazing, all you have to do is show up when you want and your workout is all ready and planned out for you. A trainer is always there to help you and the music and atmosphere are always good.
Only a newcomer to the gym but in my short time I am absolutely loving my sessions in particular being able to work in with the trainers particulary Maddy, she is an absolute queen!
