As a foreigner in Australia here on a working holiday visa, I required a safe and reliable vehicle to get to-and-from work as a CRT (nothing fancy). Unfortunately, finding a trustworthy mechanic can be a difficult task in your own neck of the woods, let alone in a new land! After some less-than-ideal experiences with other businesses, I must say my experience with Alex, Leo, and their service team at Ultra Tune Malvern East was nothing short of exceptional. I knew the vehicle I purchased definitely needed some work, however they were forthright and upfront about things that truly needed to get done in the name of safety and reliability (I wasn't looking for cosmetic or unnecessary costs to be incurred due to my shorter stay) and those that didn't require immediate attention while walking me through and explaining everything in a friendly and understandable manner. I would not hesitate to recommend and/or bring any service needs back to them. A great overall experience, and their work was very thorough, professional, and done in a timely fashion.

I went to Ultra Tune to fix my Cruze with Radiator issue. When I went to collect my car, Leonard from the reception didn't give me invoice and told he will email my invoice which I didn't receive. I called him few days later regarding the same and been told he will do it ASAP. Two weeks later I still didn't receive invoice. When I called again different person took the call and told they don't have records of what they did to the car and asked me how much the other person charged and what was the issue and gave me invoice based on what I told. Thanks to Alex for fixing the issue. I have no issues with the car later, but telling me that all the parts they fixed comes with one year warranty and having no records of what they did is not acceptable.

Been getting my car serviced here and Alex was great. Now this year I spoke to someone called Leonard and let’s just say not the politest person. He recommend me to take my car to ultra tune clayton as that is closer to where I live rather than their centre as they couldn’t offer a car or provide drop off or pick up. They don’t even have a waiting area where customers can wait. Would have been good advice last year. No wonder their Oakleigh east store closed probably because of the way this person Leonard talks to clients. Alex is polite and knowledgeable man. Talk to him otherwise u are wasting ur time.

Trustworthy mechanics are hard to find, but after reading some great reviews I booked my vehicle in for a service at Ultra Tune Malvern East, and Leonard exceeded all my expectations. Right from the start the communication was excellent, and I was reassured there would be no "hidden surprises" with the quote. He gave me some great honest advice as my vehicle was between major services, and he even fixed something small free of charge. I have never had such excellent customer service from a mechanic before. I have no hesitation recommending Leonard at Ultra Tune Malvern East.

Absolutely 5 stars, had such an amazing experience today. Had my first ever Roadworthy Certificate done today, super helpful, kind and I can’t recommend this place enough, total $250 I think the man I was talking to was named Leo, my apologies if I recall incorrectly- even when I asked about any other questions/ if there are any nearby car washes and he patiently explained everything to me and gave me so many car wash options. These people are honest hard working people and if I could write multiple 5 star reviews to help their business I would. Thanks again!!

Late post. I had to do a logbook service on my car. I am local to the area but had previously used a different mechanic just a few blocks away from this one. I wish i had not and instead chose Ultra Tune Malvern East. Reasonably priced service and did not try to rip me off. While another mechanic told me my shocks were gone, i mentioend this to the owner here and he had a look and told me shocks were fine and did not really need a replacement. Good, honest people. Too bad I have moved far from this area, otherwise would go back for future services.

I’ve been frustrated with my previous service centres for their poor service and high price. Using past reviews through google I stumbled onto Alex who runs Ultra Tune MALVERN. After servicing few of our cars I was convinced that I have finally found a winner here. He’s honest with his advice and will tell you whether you really need to spend your money on particular repairs or not which has earned him credibility in my book. I recommend you try his service centre for yourself if you’ve had problems with your past repairers.

Alex, what a legend! He worked on my car today and finished in half the time he quoted me and charged me half the price too! He also power washed my wheels without me even asking! I've been to Alex twice now and both times he's gone above and beyond, and been so nice and helpful. He's honest, trustworthy, and reliable, and as a young woman who doesn't know much about cars (and been ripped off before), this is invaluable! He's an awesome mechanic and I won't go to anyone else now. I'd recommend him to anyone. Alex, my man!

The team at operate at a very high standard and are extremely customer focused. I called and asked could they conduct a RACV inspection on a vehicle i was looking to purchase. I asked could they collect the vehicle for me and let me know of the inspection results. To my surprise and enjoyment they did. They were thorough on the reporting and called to go through the report once complete. Extremely satisfied and excellent customer service provided. Not once did l enter the shop or meet the team. Brilliant, thank you.

I had my baby car seat installed by Alex @ Ultra Tune Malvern East. Alex has been very professional, friendly and punctual. I was attended straight away and he installed the car seat in efficient manner. The pricing is very affordable and the customer service was fantastic! 6 months later when I needed to change my car seat from rear facing to rear facing, Alex did it without any changes - what a legend! I highly recommend Alex and would definitely use his services again.

Can't get over how fantastic the team at Malvern East Ultra Tune are! Had my front light replaced a few months ago for under $20 & just had my front door & auto keys fixed without cost! The front drivers door was jammed shut & the remote wouldn't always work but Mike was able to unjam the door and fix the lock. Looking forward to getting my car serviced there in a few weeks. Only good things to say about these guys, highly recommend going to them with you car!

I had previously had my car checked out by a mobile mechanic who told me my brakes pads and rotors needed replacing so came to Ultra Tune Malvern East for a second opinion. They were upfront and honest about what actually needed to be done and when - turns out nothing! Brilliant and honest service They use the best quality materials All the family services their cars here. Usually we stick to one mechanic and once we gain their trust, they start hiking up the prices, but not these guys. Alex provides exceptional advice to make your car go a long way. Roadworthy Certs are also racv accredited and the work is reasonably priced.

I get my car serviced here every year. They do a fantastic job, reasonable prices and great service. They won't rip you off. The owner is very personable and you can drop your car off at 8am, leave it there for the day and pick it up by 5.30pm. In fact this year my car is running the best ever and it's clocked 406,000kms. Had a very bad experience. Too much hidden fees, never seen so much labour charge in anyplace. Won’t recommend anyone whoever is going for first time there. Cost me $1300 just to service my 2007 model corolla. That’s 3 times more than i have paid anywhere including parts change. Not a place to fix a car, there’s alot better and cheaper out there.

A very genuine and friendly service. I promise you they won't rippen you off. Leo and Chris were fantastic! I had had my car service at somewhere else and ended up being told I need to change the arm bush control. I was not sure so someone told me to come here and turned out it is still workable and saved me up to $500. Highly recommended team!

I'm surprised it's not more difficult to book in with Alex. He's always been straight-up with us. We've taken both our cars to him for servicing and repairs. He's prepared to do the work, call around for a part, and let you know if he can't get the best price or if you're better taking it elsewhere for a given job. Recommended.

It is the second time I have used Alex..The first he did a great job on my service. And a great price. The second was recently where my car had quite a few problems that had been ongoing. He was great fixing them, honest in what had to be done. Awesome to finally find a car service place that actually does care! A great place.

Leo and the team were great in the work they did on my car that required specialist skills. It was major work, including full clutch replacement. I was kept updated with progress every step of the way (including pictures) as they dismantled, replaced and put the car back together. Highly recommended

Really good at contacting me to update me about my car, other mechanics I've always had to chase up. Friendly and honest, unfortunately I need a new car as fixing it isn't worth it, I'm glad I was told that rather than being duped into getting it fixed and then given a massive bill.
