Our post office closed on Pico. Since then, I've had to deliver packages to my neighbors in the next building, across the street, the next block over and the next street over, because they were left at my address, though the packages weren't addressed to me. I've had my mail delivered to neighbors, packages lost, packages delivered to Inglewood cemetery. (I live in Los Angeles.)I've been instructed to pick up packages at the post office, but they were gone when I got there, even though I went within the required time. (They were being returned to me, so I don't know what they did with them. ) I was told that I had mail on hold, only to find out that it wasn't when I went to pick it up. When I got there was told that mail can only be placed on hold in person not by phone, yet they didn't explain that when I talked to them. Also, I noticed that there's a like to place hold's on mail online, which means you don't have to be in the office. Shaking My Head. I read the other reviews. A lot of packages are lost. OMG! That review was written at least three years ago. Now, here I go again. There were four packages to be delivered, two from Ebay, two from Amazon. They were unable to deliver anything for two days for an unspecified reason. Each day they said they'd try again. The third day, I placed a note on the mail box explaining which apartment belongs to me. I also put a note on the door, even though the address is above the door and off to the left top. Since two attempts to deliver were made at about five o'clock and a second attempt was made after 7 pm, I decided to wait on the stairs for the mail starting at 4:45 pm. I waited until 8: 00 pm. Nothing. Maybe they came before then, but they would have seen the note. I'm waiting to see what time they say that they attempted delivery. Meanwhile, I called the post office before sitting on the stairs. The phone rang at least 15 times,, I was on hold for an hour and they said that they'd put it on hold for me. Then, I read the old review. I have to put it on hold in person. It also means that they can't say that they didn't deliver because it would be on hold, because it didn't apply. So, how come I saw no post person on either side of the street? Did they skip us today?

Sadly, almost everyone I ever dealt with at this USPS location is either incompetent or unhelpful on purpose. Recently, I wanted to ship a used laptop to a friend internationally. I visited the post office and disclosed that the package contains a laptop with a lithium battery. After one of their employees, Samantha Goldstein, consulted her supervisor (either Henry Brown or Tom Black) for over 20 minutes, she told me to fill out some forms, I paid $93.25 and thought that was it. In a week or so, the package was returned with the explanation that a new customer declaration was needed. I came back to the same office. They refused to ship it because, supposedly, USPS does not handle lithium batteries. This is really odd, but it is what it is. They could have told me this the first time. As a result, I asked for a refund, and they said it's not possible because they "took a chance to ship it, but it didn't go through." What does that even mean? They told me what forms to fill. They advised me on the process. They took the package from me to be shipped. And no refund? Avoid USPS if possible, especially this location.

If I could give 0 stars I would!!!!! I AM TIRED OF THIS POST OFFICE!!!! They have a 1.8 rating and STILL don’t change???!!!!!! SMH! Unbelievable! My daughter is missing an important package due to a delivery guy in the 07 zip code NOT doing his job! Delivered the package to the wrong building and it’s taking days for rectification! All we get is excuses and no accountability!!!!! WHO’S GOING TO PAY FOR THE ITEM MISDELIVERED The Station Manager has not responded to us after saying she would. Mailman LIED and said he was going back to the place it was delivered and retrieve it! He NEVER went! Lied and said the place was closed at 3:30pm They dont close til 7pm EVERYDAY!!!! Hasn’t gone over there as of yet and it’s been DAYS since the mistake was made! I mean come on!!!!! Stop making excuses for people and fix the PROBLEMS!!!!! Lazy people will not and cannot get the job done! Get different people in there!!!!! These people act like they aren’t responsible for things they do wrong??!!! YOU ARE!!!! Now fix it!

My daughter mailed me a package from China, but because I don't understand English, the package was returned to China from the United States.My daughter post the package from China again. Then it took almost three months to reach the United States. from Sept. But I inquired about the express information and said that it was already reached Los Angeles at 8.52am. on 13th this month .But it was returned to China at 8.52.am because of the address was incomplete. At that time, I drove to your company in a hurry. The front desk staff said that the package was returned to China again.then a girl came out from the office and helped me to find the package with the phone translator .Finally I found my package I am very appreciate for helping me find the package with the translation software. Without her help, I might have lost my package again.So thank you so much my pretty girl . Wish you everything goes well. I bought a P.O. Box here. Since then I've switch to here from another post office. This post office is cheaper in regards to renting a P.O. box and the lines aren't too long however there's a reason to all that. The service is AWFUL. This place couldn't be worse if the workers straight out said that they would rather get paid to stand around. I've been writing my address and the receivers address a certain way for years and no one has had a problem with it however, this lady who works there laughed and then asked if I'd want her to show me how it's done I said sure because I figured if I'm going to still have my P.O. box here I might as well get accustomed to their way of doing things. While explaining SLOWLY she looked at me like I was stupid while I was listening then laughed some more. It took everything in me to not call for her manager but I doubt they'd care either seeing as this place already had really low reviews. This place has potential to be something better if anyone gave any effort.

Ladies and Gentleman, They are rude, lazy, and are getting their government check. However there is a Latino lady that I interacted with once, who was excellent. Yet she is the exception to the rule and the likely future manager of these misfit. The older African American woman, who will probably never read this post, totally unhelpful and condescending. As if we the customer must know all the different types of mailing options. The reality is these are government workers, who after a probation period, cannot be fired. They have no incentive to be better than this, except if they have their own personal work ethic like the Latino lady above. The post office in general has this theme everywhere you go. If they were not near USC and the government did not pay the lease for the grounds, it would have been shut down long ago. If you see any positive comments it is probably from someone who works there or a friend of someone who works there. If you can avoid the place, do so.

This post office at 3585 S. Vermont Ave is the worst post office in the US. The agents are rude and harsh with the customers. I have been facing mail delivery issues since January. I reported the problem through the USPS website, customer service phone line, and spoke with the supervisors, but unfortunately, they haven't taken any action. After two months of follow-up, I found out that the carrier lost the entrance key. Consequently, I provided three more keys to the post office two weeks ago, but there is still no improvement in the mail delivery. Due to the lack of proper mail delivery, I received several notices from utility companies and vendors, leading to unnecessary penalties which I had to pay. The delivery and customer service at this post office are the worst. I have had a frustrating experience with this post office, and I am disappointed with the lack of progress in resolving my mail delivery issue and the poor customer service I've received.

The ladies that work here are so very rude. I was in line to ship something and the lady at the window just redirected me to another line not even trying to hear what I needed. I get to the other line that says they open at 9:30 I've been in this line since 9:10 and it's 9:40 and there just now helping me. I know there short staffed but I have been in line for a few minutes watching how she is treating every person in line and its just unsatisfactory. Not everyone sends packages on a daily basis so some need explaining and the ladies there are just so rude. When it was finally my turn to ship the boxes I needed to scan them on a side machine teller so the lady that sent me away told me I should have brought that to her attention first, how could I when she was so quick to brush me off to another line. I could have had them scanned and ready to go if she could have just helped me the first time. So disappointed on how they treat people here..

Horrible service and unnecessarily long waits in line. Apparently there were two different lines, one for pickup and one for general stuff apparently, but there was nothing distinguishing the difference between the lines. When I got to the general line, the worker there said I was in the wrong line and said I should've seen the "big sign" that said pickup line. There were no big signs that told the difference. The only thing saying the line name was an 8x10" piece of paper taped to a stand towards the front that none could see of they are waiting in the back. Even after I got out of my first line and waited in the second, I waited for an additional 35 minutes. Don't come here if you're trying to get stuff done in an efficient and timely matter. The only reason I came here was because a package was dropped off for me to this location instead of my actual address. If I could've changed the address I would've.

The worst experience I’ve ever had. I had issues with a package that wasn’t delivered so it was sent to this location , customer service told me to call this location before they sent my package back to the seller . I called over 15 times and they picked up only once to leave me on hold for 25 minutes then hang up on me. I made line and then they told me “you’re in the wrong line” and I said “Well I made line here because no one is helping out at the pickup window.” I am still here standing at the pick up line and no one at the window helping. Everyone with me is complaining when they’re going to help us out and all they tell us “Someone will be right here soon” it’s been over 35 minutes for some people in line and still nothing . So unprofessional. I don’t understand why they have me making line if there is no one at the window , I am so upset.

HR needs to fire and rehire!! Lines are constantly long! Reschedule deliveries are not honored! Mail is always late like after 8pm late! Staff and Carriers have attitudes! I'm always receiving my neighbors' mail! Mail never arrives and seems to be "lost"! Amazon packages delivered to the wrong address! But this is the worst right here...USPS it is unbelievable that management allows their employees to falsify scanned and delivered packages and the packages are either never delivered and returned back to the sender or it gets delivered hours or days later and thats because the customer filed a complaint. That needs to be addressed...falsifying scanned and delivered items!! Why would do that to the customer?! I work in customer service and that is considered automatic termination in the customer service field. Please address these issues!

I'm generally a very patient and polite person- I've worked customer service, and I know how it can get. But I had a mailman call me and tell me he didn't want to leave my package on my porch, and neither I nor the written instructions could convince him otherwise. I had to be somewhere, so I finally conceded, but then couldn't make it to the post office for two more days. When I got there, I waited for and hour and twenty minutes, and ended up helping more people get their packages and figure out where to go than any of the employees I saw. And I never got so much as a "Sorry this is taking so long" from anybody. I am sympathetic to the struggles of a large post office, but this was unacceptable. (Side note: This was an express package that cost the sender $23 and contained medically necessary products. Outrageous.)

Dealing with any US government agency is already hell in itself but every once in a while I have run ins with clerks that seem to take the cake each time. There is a person who works here that goes by the name Daisy and she is one of the most incompetent, useless clerks I’ve dealt with. Her name un-ironically rhymes with lazy. It’s bad enough that a federal USPS office does not have the forms necessary for tax payers to apply for passports but she sent me away to print forms myself fill them out for me to come back and tell me she’s not doing passports anymore DURING OPERATING HOURS!!! Who hired these people? And with unemployment being so rampant these offices never have more than 2 people working. So instead of helping she’s gorging herself on snacks so she doesn’t have to finish helping me. This is wild!

This is the worst post office I have ever gone to. I’ve been to many places across the country and others on bases around the world as I am in the military. I never had any issues sending packages out until I came here. Unorganized, no forms out that you have to ask for one and they give you attitude for asking. In all my experience, I never had to write on the box. I fill out the form and they took care of everything. I was asked to do it which ok no problem. And then they told me I filled it out wrong even though it clearly stated who was it from and to. Was told to get another box. I’m not spending another $10. I left. I did not feel my belongings was going to be safe in their hands. Extremely unprofessional set of workers. Take your business else were. Not worth the time or headache

I was debating whether or not to report this, but after consideration I really do think this is unacceptable. I had an agent tell me it was my fault that I did not receive my package after repeating multiple times that I did not receive notices (both paper, email, and text) or updates that my package was being delivered or available for pick-up. I'm a full-time student who is unable to always make visits to the post office unless I have a purpose. After looking at the tracking history, it's clear that there is something wrong with how inefficient and unreliable the USPS delivery service is run, – which doesn't prioritize their customers or their customers' satisfaction. I'm really disappointed in USPS and unless something changes, I will be taking my mail/package services elsewhere.

I had my dad go to this USPS to pick up an important document sent to me from Social Security. They had my dad wait 2 1/2 hours just to be attented. When he finally got to the window, the lady attending him gave him the biggest attitude. I dont understand why these workers give so much energy to give us their attitude rather than put their energy into helping us. The lines are always long, to the point where they reach at the end of the lockers in the lobby. These people dont work for free, I work in customer service as well but would never let it get to the point where I throw my attitude at customers everyday. The Manager obviously has to be fired cuz they're obviously not telling the workers to keep up the pace.

I was expecting to receive two packages from General Delivery and they returnedthe packages, they didnt even wait a couple of days for let me to go and take it. Also they were not so helpful and friendly when I called them trying to understand what happened with the delivery. They could at least tell me wich offices do General Delivery for the people that we dont have a currently address, but they dont. I know that my package is still there, and I went to the office with my ID, but they even take a look. It is necessay to be like that? At least they could take a couple of minutes to explain how the office works, and be more gentle. It is free...

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place needs to be investigated but post master general, definitely some shady stuff going on here. Someone is stealing packages. I dropped off my package for overnight shipping, paid $70 so my niece would receive her birthday gift for her 15th bday. It’s been two days and her bday has past, and the package still seems not to have left this post office. It’s ridiculous, I lost $70 for overnight shipping and also lost another $200 from my niece’s gift!! Beyond frustrating and no one seems to car!! AVOID GOING HERE AT ALL COST, ITS THE WORST POST OFFICE IN LA

I had an appointment for passport but the post office employee didn’t show up without any notice. The other employee told me to come back on Saturday as they accept walk-ins but when I revisited there on Saturday, the employee who’s in charge of passport said she doesn’t accept walk-ins. It took a month for me to make an another appointment. This time, I wanted to call to ensure the passport service is available but no one answered. I called four times with no success. They should serve customers better. At least employees should show up when they accepted appointments!

I desperately wanted this to be the USPS that made my life easier. I’m a very small business owner and have packages I need to ship out. Pickup is completely unavailable in my area and this is my local USPS but lines are insane. But wait! They have a drop box for packages. Sike, there are no posted hours but there have been multiple times during regular business hours that it’s locked shut. No rhyme or reason for me to plan around. It’s exhausting. I know the only other option I have is to stop using the usps but I really desperately want it to work.

As a college student, the amount of money I’ve lost and time wasted with lost and presumably “delivered” packages is disappointing to say the least. The fact that for the last 2 years I’ve had to go out of my way to contact sellers/post office staff and file insurance claim after insurance claim says something about USPS and it’s not pretty. I understand the struggles of receiving and delivering thousands of packages daily. However, it has clearly been an issue for a while and something needs to change to improve accuracy and customer satisfaction.

Go to a different post office!!!!! Literally waited an hour in line. Quite obvious that workers don't care. The person behind me noticed that someone was just walking back and forth, and then messing around on the computer. Must be nice to get paid and do nothing. Also. They told me that I can't get a receipt if I want to send mail? So I had to buy the certified mail to make sure I got a receipt. Which I thought was a lie because I've sent mail before and received a receipt. So THANKS for that Myung. GO TO A DIFFERENT POST OFFICE!

I would give this usps literally 0 stars just because on how unorganized and bad this place is. The workers have a bad mood and temper. Lines are big and they do not care at all. I had to wait 3 HOURS in the pick up line (during covid where the whole building was PACKED) and just to get an answer of we could not find it. When I called previously and was told they had my package in that facility. Others in line could not find their mail as well. The workers do not even try to look for it until you tell them to look twice.

I have had a very nice experience at this location each time that I visited. I recently went in to send 2 packages. The system was down due to power outages. Even with the issue, the employees were pleasant and informative. At the window, they make sure that you are getting the best rate and delivery time, and will assist you with additional questions. I saw them go above and beyond for each person, not just me. :) Nice to see, especially as we go through delays during COVID, that we can still get good customer service.

I wouldn’t go here; I would definitely make an appointment / or go to a different post office. Also if you’re renewing passport, renew it somewhere else. The lady that helped me was so RUDE. Also, I was renewing my passport on behalf of someone and as long as it is not there first time applying, it IS OKAY to do it for someone else. BUT SHE CLEARLY SAYS NO. And said SHE NEVER HEARD THAT BEFORE. Okay, it could be your first time, I understand. I understand that you might not want to do it for me. But DO NOT BE RUDE.

Came to the office at 4:50 . 10 minutes before 5 pm and they had a girl on the door stating she was closing at 5pm do to shortness of staff which is understandable however not 10 minutes before the stated time you have a sign on the door terrible service then it states online you close at 5:30 pm not 5 pm. I rushed out of work and they closed way before the time they’re suppose to where are the managers ? this doesn’t make sense there was even 10 more clients complaining trying to get their mail service done.

I sent $100 gift card and cellphone charger to my cousin in Chicago from this post office. I wrapped and packed well in the post office. And I used post office mail box(paid separately). Then sent by priority mail. It took 4 days to deliver. Today my cousin received it but there is only cellphone charger. Gift card disappeared. I can't understand how it is possible because I wrapped and packed well completely. I assume someone opened mailbox and took it during its shipped. Shameful to USPS staffs!

They were rude, lady snatched my box & while waiting they started going in the their break & gossiping. Having people wait in line, not one person helping, afterwards they were letting people cut in. the people there are impatient, don’t waste coming here. I decide going to UPS after an hour waiting & I’m very glad I did, they were very more helpful & was done in less the. 5 minutes.! UPS may be more expensive but you won’t waste an hour with rude customer service.

Their incompetence is truly outstanding. Not only did the attendant fabricate and relay a completely false closing time for my apartment complex to get me off her back (didn't work), she made it clear that the "out for delivery" status scan was deliberately used to mislead myself and the USPS system-- my package never left the building. I recommend using FedEx until this particular post office cleans house of the embarrassment they are.

Ehh, I visited this location and was not surprised. I waited in a long line wanting to ship a small packet or docs. I didn’t k know which envelope to use so I grabbed the first one I saw: anyways I was asked to grab a different envelope and wait in line AGAIN... Also did I mention that they DO NOT provide pens || I mean? Seriously?! The place was dirty and not organized.. (fortunately the second cashier was very friendly )

She is a elderly woman who works in a church. HOW THE HELL DO YOU INSULT THIS WOMAN?!?! How has that man not been fired? Awful Customer Service. No sense of urgency Two people behind the window yet only one person helps all 10 people who are waiting in line. Any person who asked a general question the one representative (who was too busy doing other things) would snap rudely and give the answer to the question asked. These people should really appreciate the job that they have. There are so many other people who might appreciate this job more.

don't get a P.o. box here... unless you want missing packages and your packages found a month after they were delivered. update (april 2023): will be setting up a "po box" with ups once my subscription ends next month. more expensive, but worth it. they now have a "Pick Up Window Closed" sign, AND recently they ALL went on "lunch break" at 430 right before close. line was out the door until close. lol comical..

The absolute worst. Seriously, every single one of these reviews are 100% correct. I haven’t even touched on their neighborhood route mail service. I’ve lived in the area for 15 years now and it’s gotten worse even after the 2016 audit by the USPS Inspector General. I am thoroughly convinced that these Post Office employees are purely there to get a check for not working at all.

And it was stolen and the company did not insure it and it was delivered during a mail hold time frame. And i have no recourse not even an apology. Sickening. Worst post office ever. I received a notice that my package was delivered in my mail box but there was no package in the actually box. I waited a few days, came to this location to track it down and the person to look it up was “too busy” to help me. No info on what to do next. So Im just out a package!? Avoid here for anything other than simple mailing services. Joke.

This place is a joke. I haven't received mail in more than 10 days. There was a huge line of people with the same issue and they only bother to have one window open. They have 2 to 3 windows for retail but one for an issue that's obviously effecting a lot of people. On top of that they've taken a long pause from helping people to talk amongst themselves for what??

Tried to call about a package that has been in this post office for 5 days now and has not moved yet. I don't know why it's still there but it's is. I I gave tracking number to automated recorder and it couldn't get the number right so want to speak to real person and now I have to wait 30 minute. For them to call me back. Still waiting for back. Not real happy.

Please fire all the people from this location and get people that actually care about doing the job! This place doesn't answer the phone, they hardly find a package after "searching" for it, they create lines of people just waiting hours and hours only to be told to come another day, etc. I can't believe nothing has been done about it after so much time

I came here twice and left without getting help. I came on Friday around 11 for walk in passport services and I was told to come In Saturday and I must come before 10am. I came in on Tuesday at 9am and she told me “it’s tomorrow” and to come Wednesday before 10 and the first 6 people get walk in service. Don’t come here you are going to waste your time.

Re: Passports, they are never fully staffed to handle all tasks that come their way. Passport employee is non existent for most days. Even if you make an appointment they send you away to a different location because there is no employee that works the passports. This place probably only good for shipping and receiving, but that’s my opinion.

We had to pick up a package here and I got kind of worried about it after seeing all the bad reviews for this post office. We did have to wait a little longer than I would have liked, but otherwise the experience was positive (we only interacted with a woman at the blue door so I can't speak for other aspects of the post office experience).

Wish I had read the reviews before I showed up today 30 mins early for my Passport Appointment time that I had scheduled 6 weeks ago. After 45 mins in line "We cant do that today" was the response. Apparently this happens every day, with no notifications. If you need an in-person Passport appointment - DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION !

They’ve lost my package several times when I call the phone number of the station they never pick up and just drop the call , the employees are not helpful at all and the drivers never deliver mail correctly I’ve received mail of other people countless times and the staff never seem to know what’s going on. Be prepared to be treated extremely rude when you come here . Package marked as delivered when it wasn't delivered. Only response to my missing package claim was a rude voicemail telling me that my front office accepted the package and "it was marked as delivered so it was delivered." Over a month later I get an update that the package is found and being returned to sender.

That place is really bad. People looks like they don't want to work, they look lazy and slow, if you want to talk to the manager, they cover and protect her. They say she is busy. The driver crazy guy. He went to my house twice and he didn't leave the packages, because there was no acces to the house, He lies .

Came to ship a package with pre-paid postage. I had paid for a padded flat-rate envelope, but they didn't have any out front. I asked one of the employees for help and she said they thought they might be out but she'd look. She went and found one for me. Made everything smooth and easy.

Terrible. Just waited an hour to pick up a package plus fifteen minutes to be notified that my package wasn't there. No wondwr the USPS is becoming obsolete with FedEx and UPS actually doing everything USPS is supposed to do but better, more organized, and better customer service. Jeez.

I have live in USC area for more than 46 years never experienced so bad mail home delivered they are young postman Or women but with very bad attitude and because they are always on the phone talking you can hear them a mile away and don't drop off the right mail in the right address

Worst post service experience of my life. Lady was typing with one finger, eating popsicle with another hand dripping juices onto my package. Typed the address wrong a couple of times, had no patience at all for first time customers. I am astonished at the sheer incompetence of USPS.

Upon entering there was a long line for pick ups and no direction. It was 330 on the dot. Cashier was on her own phone disregarding all the customers. Then closed her window. As we were asking for help to those visable workers they seems to be laughing. Worst custome service around.

They served the queue skipping person like nothing happened. How is this even acceptable? The queue was very long and there was just one counter opening on the weekday. Another counter was for the passport which has a separate queue. Smiling staff and my goods arrived in time.

The clerk couldn't tell Austria from Australia, so my package was sent to a wrong country. When I came back the next day, all they could offer is some phone number to call instead of a refund. The clerk didn't even apologize. Horrible service.

Constantly losing mail. Sometimes we only get mail 2-3 days a week, and sometimes after 8pm. And seems as if anything that has a "Card" inside it never arrives. I think this is the absolute worse post office in the country.

I think as time has passed they have really gotten better .. more smooth in office and delivery. The mail is flowing in and out. When ever I mail something. It always gets there.. so I am grateful it works !

You’ve read the reviews so you know to expect poor service the staff uses all the parking spaces so no parking. A heads up they don’t open the pickup window until 9:30a for you early birds

'Informed Delivery' shows mail that should have been delivered every day.I have received no mail delivery in over a week. Carrier pigeon could do a better job than USPS.
