I honestly wasn't sure whether to post one star or five stars because what I witnessed, last time I was here, was pure comedy. But I think, on balance, it's pretty terrible. I had to wait in line for a bit (no big deal, maybe 5 mins), which wasn't great but I was there at a busy time of day. There were some visual clues that the staff were stretched - namely the thousands of boxes strewn around the room and piled up behind the desks. When I got to the front of the line there were two clerks - one who looked a bit fierce and the other who looked a lot fierce. I was scared. I hoped I'd get the less fierce one, but I got the 'a lot fierce' one. At the desk, it was confusing for me because the clerk was in the middle of a loud conversation across three desks with the less-fierce clerk. In the middle of the conversation there were a few instructions aimed at me (I think) and definitely a telling off for not having written the address on the envelope. But I kept doing the wrong thing - the context switching was confusing me (was she talking to me or the other clerk? I dunno?? I was afraid to ask). While I was correcting all the mistakes I'd made, a third clerk came out from the back and started picking up the boxes and literally throwing them across the room. Incredibly, this clerk was even more fierce-looking than my clerk. All the throwing and box-crashy action made me kinda nervous as my package was full of pottery (did I trust that my packing was good enough? I thought I'd gone overboard on the bubble-wrap but was no longer sure). My clerk shouted at her 'hey! I haven't scanned those yet'. That sparked an argument - I stayed out of it. I kept my eyes down and pretended not to notice. I hope my package got there okay. I think there's a 60% chance. I'm an optimist. Dear USPS: please help this team out - I think they need some more love from above (and perhaps a bit more training).

This post office is the absolute worst. They do not answer the phone so I have to continue wasting my time to physically go up there. I have lived at the same address for years and have not had any issues until recently. I requested *one* of my packages to be held at the PO. According to my tracking info, it was scanned into the facility and ready for pick up. I go to pick it up and the lady at the window is super rude. She told me it was with the carrier, not there and to come back the next day. I returned the following Monday figuring it had been plenty of time for them to locate it and have it ready. They STILL can't find my package and the guy took my info down and assured me he would call me back with an updated status later that day. I never received a call back. I go BACK up there the next day and that's when they officially told me it was lost. I requested a replacement from the company I ordered from and that was a whole other hassle in itself. Since I asked for that one package to be held, they've taken the liberty to hold another package of mine.... and all of a sudden cannot deliver even my regular mail because of "no access". Nothing has changed so I don't understand why they have issues delivering now! Customer service is a joke and no one can tell me what is going on! Two of my packages say they were unable to be delivered because of the no access thing and the third says it was delivered but it is nowhere to be found!!! And how could they "deliver" that one but not be able to access the building for the others?!?!? I'm so fed up I can't even muster up the strength to continue to be courteous to anyone if there. Did I also mention that for some reason I haven't been getting my regular mails either? Not even ads.... nothing!!! And I'm waiting for my license to come in for work!!

I never gave the ancient institution of the USPS much thought until I had to deal with this place as my primary post office. This is the worst, mismanaged, under-employed, incompetent facility I've ever encountered, and I'm ashamed that my tax dollars help pay for it. They say they are open between 8 and 6 but try calling during those hours and see if you'll ever get through. When a package goes missing, nobody seems to care. I raced to the post office after work and was physically in the building at 5:58 and was told that the customer before me was last until I demanded help. My personal mailperson employed by this post office is extremely lazy and will not even make an attempt to deliver at my door when I am home and prefers to slip a little note in my mailbox instead so I can pick it up or arrange for a "redelivery." I've had to chase him down to get packages that are on his truck after he's left me a little note while I've been at home. The entire place seems rampant with people who have a poor work ethic, who generally don't care about doing their jobs with any whisper of pride, and who generally dislike dealing with the public. I bet they feel that the, I suppose, numerous negative encounters they have with the public daily are through no fault of their own so they choose to ignore people when they call. I, too, work with the public; however, if I don't feel like doing my job some days, people could die or get seriously injured. It's difficult to understand what is so challenging about delivering a package. I am considering sending a letter to the postmaster and possibly my local congressman. Most likely, nothing will change, but perhaps if a few are sent, it could make a difference.

Thieves and liars! We HAND dropped off our $$$ expensive package Thursday morning. We went inside and the rude black female staff told us to leave it at the counter along with other customer packages. She did NOT give us a receipt. I am an avid experienced online seller, I knew when tracking hasn't been updated within 24 hours that something was wrong. FOUR DAYS later and the tracking has still not been updated! It was a prepaid label WITH a scanning barcode meaning it's easy to track. After several calls they kept feeding us lies like "we don't scan until blank time " or"give it some time" Etc. We then decided to go inside in person and again was told different things each time. Rude lady stated that they don't scan packages until Wednesday (once a week they scan, weird since every usps scans packages once a day). Then an hour later we came back and they said they don't have the package, that it's at a usps plant. If that's true then that means that their office would have scanned the package barcode = "accepted" the package and tracking would start. I was terrified when I looked up this usps and see many others have experienced the same issues, how is this office still legally running? They're clearly stealing packages, they clearly do not care. I have sent an official request form and of course no response. They are clueless as to where our package is and of course without a reciept we aren't eligible for compensation. SCAM. SCAM. SCAM. Tracking says "usps still awaiting item" meaning usps is waiting on me to give them the package when I've done so already almost a week ago.

If I can give negative stars, I would. First, the scale at the automated machine was broken and was defaulting to measuring 3 oz when nothing was on it, and adding the # of ounces to 3 when you put it on there. So I went to the counter instead. I was going to mail 2 envelopes and wanted tracking (since they were kinda important) and the clerks made me fill out a bunch of paperwork I've never seen before. She handed me a form that said something like "certified mail" which cost another $3.50 per item and I told her I didn't want that, only tracking, and she said I need to fill that out even if I don't need certified mail. I've never had to buy certified mail with tracking at the machines or at any other post office in the past, and she clearly reiterated that I just needed to fill out that form and won't be buying certified mail. When I was ready and presented her all the forms, she rang up my total and sure enough, certified mail was added to the total. Unfortunately, at this time, it was too late to back out of the transaction because she had already collected and loaded my envelopes and just waited me to pay. I ended up paying $7 more than necessary due to this fiasco and her dishonesty. Had I known, I would have gladly weighed my two envelopes 3 oz higher each at the machines instead of being scammed by being forced to pay for certified mail which was unnecessary. I urge USPS to do an investigation on this branch and the ways they are scamming customers!

This post office location could be run better by prisoners or actual babies. There would be way less fighting and whining in either case. Have you ever had an interaction with an employee and thought to yourself: "How did this person tie their shoes and make it to work this morning?" Well maybe they had help, but that's the way I feel every time I am forced to go into the Oak Lawn Post Office. It's never by choice, always due to a lack of other options. The workers here have lost mail, feigned ignorance about mail delivery options (or maybe it's actual ignorance), played 'kick the package' in the back area leaving one register open while a line of 15 customers stretched outside, and refused to even pretend like they know how to be nice to customer. Each time I visit, the workers show they can achieve levels of apathy and ineffectiveness that I never knew existed. The only way I can get actual assistance is by calling the USPS Customer Support line - the reps there on the other hand are always very helpful. Anyway, I digest. :D Don't go here unless you have to. But if you're reading the reviews, you are probably just looking for validation on a positive / negative experience. Hope this made you laugh. Good luck out there battling the register-demons. Keep a safe distance, do not maintain eye contact, lower your voice to a whisper, and NEVER step past the red line until they say 'NEXT'.

The manager of this usps store is the worst customer service personnel I’ve ever encountered, I sent a package and made a mistake with the address, came back approximately an hour later with my receipt to edit the address, I stood on the queue for about 5 mins waiting for the person in front of me to be attended to, after he gave her her package, 3 other people came as it was my turn, the manager, Rami by name asked what I came for, didn’t even let me explain more, just asked me to stand aside and set out to attend to the other people who came after me, I stood there for 6 more mins, came to give one of them’s packages to then and verified additional information from one of the 2 people after me left then went back in, I complained and reiterated that I was here before them, he told me to wait, he delegated the search for the other 2 people who were behind me to another staff but didn’t even have the decency to answer me, I had to continuously press the bell. Another female staff came to attend to me, said she thought I was being attended to already. Rami doesn’t deserve the post of manager there because a manager is supposed to be a model to other staffs and if a manager behaves this way, I wonder how the surbodinates are supposed to. Worst usps service ever, you should do better.

This place gets worse and worse by the day. I constantly witness their staff be rude to elderly people and just generally rude to everyone. They are beyond slow and inefficient. To top things off I mailed my wedding invitations 10 days ago and not a single person has received them. I would chalk this up to being A one time error except for my friend had a similar experience where her invitations took 12 days to arrive to her in town guests. Additionally every time I send mail out of this location it takes more than the usual days to arrive. Previous review from 2015. I’m pretty sure this branch provides a similar setting to Hell. That being said, I live directly behind this branch, I am constantly awoken at unacceptable times during the night from the dock bell. The drivers approach the dock and excessively ring the notification bell until they get assistance, this usually lasts 30 minutes at a time or more. The decibel level on the bell is piercing during the day, but at 3AM it is preventing me from gaining any sleep. They office staff is incredibly rude. Last week I saw one of their associates verbally accost an elderly man in the lobby, I was so embarrassed for him. Her public shaming was unnecessary, and unprofessional for a federal agency.

I came here the day before yesterday to send some things to my mom around 4:30pm and I wish I had taken the reviews seriously and not gone. Mandy was working the counter with two other ladies, and they were all moving slower than molasses. Mandy and a lady named Nicole I believe were very rude to the customers in front of me and Mandy was very rude to me and it took everything in me not to go off on her. I don’t know who’s in charge at this place but you need to do some serious restaffing, the post office isn’t a McDonald’s or Taco Bell where those women should be working! That’s a good paying job I’m sure with benefits that should have some people with more class, respect, personality, and definitely a better work appearance than I saw that day out of all of your staff. All had their shirts on very sloppy, ashy hands and elbows, hair all over their heads, just did not look the part of the post office or the area they are in. They were at the counter saying they had “fallen off the short bus” and cracking jokes about how awful they were being, comparing it to special education children, disgusting women that should be ashamed of themselves. Very disappointed with this post office and I will never ever return.

This review is being submitted on behalf of Connie Muhammad (Dallas, TX). Today between 4-5 pm, I experienced the most bizarre happening. From 2 employees at the post office, one a clerk the other in management. They were unprofessional, rude and had no boundaries. One a clerk, the other in management. The one in management became irate and started screaming at me. She ordered me out of "her" establishment; as I turned to walk out, she began walking behind me. This threatening behavior was uncalled for, unacceptable and very alarming. I did not know what her intentions were; esp. with the history of postal workers harming citizens. When I got into my car and looked up, she was standing in front of my car with something in her hand pointing toward my car. I thought it was a gun. I am taking every step to report this to the Post Master and anyone else involved to address this unstable person. I did not get this workers name, but she needs to be reprimanded severely for her actions. If you visit this post office, be aware and be safe from this unstable employee.

  • Star East

I wish I could leave negative stars because 1 star is more credit than this location deserves. I waited in line for 50 minutes along with over 20 other people while there was only 1 employee working the counter. At first I felt bad for the woman working alone with no assistance from any of the other employees I heard yelling, laughing and joking around in the back probably "hard at work" but after finally getting to the counter and being screamed at by this woman I soon understood my sympathy was undeserving. I asked a simple question and the woman refused to answer me. She started to raise her voice, waved her enormous hand up to my face and told me to get out of the line I had just waited in for almost an hour. I felt extremely unsafe and thought at any moment this woman was capable of becoming physical. Stay away at all cost if you value not only your dignity but your safety. She at a minimum needs anger management but should probably be fired. Her name is Chinita George.

  • Scott Beaty

They are lazy and they lied. Somehow a package of mine was sent to this post office. I drove there to retrieve it and the woman refused to go look for it. Not couldn't, wouldn't. I left rather than freak out. I called the sender who had no information on if the package was being returned. I went to the Post Office again a week later and was told the package was sent from their post office to the correct one. I asked how he knew this and he told me he looked at the tracking number I provided and the information was there. I looked again and there was no such update. I am still trying to get my package and have no information to find out where it is. They aren't just not helping but actively preventing me from claiming my property, or at least finding out where it is. They should all be replaced with a team with basic skills and a willingness to help..

Ugh. Put 6 packages in the blue maildrop outside for customers totaling about $500 in product. (The blue drop outside which any Joe cannot just stick their hand in, you need keys to get in) Items never were scanned, never arrived, & all had insurance, which paying extra for insurance is a JOKE. Never saw insurance reimbursements, waited for hours being transferred to "customer service" reps who all told me the same thing "We see what you see on the computer". I told them if there are packages that have not been scanned that were inside the blue drop then it is very obvious they were STOLEN and should be looked into!!! Felt like I was talking to a brick wall with responses like, okay, we will look into this and call you back. Shocking, never heard from anyone, had to refund ALL of my customers and took a huge loss on this horrible office.

  • Victoria Smith

Worst service of my entire life! I walked in to pick up a package that I left my work an hour early for, and was immediately screamed at “NO DOGS IN THE POST OFFICE!!!” I had my 10 lb Shih tzu in my arm bc first of all he’s a registered emotional support dog and it’s 100 degrees so he’d die in the car! Literally bothering no one!!! I went on to ask the lady what I should do because I needed my package that day and they were about to close in two minutes. She just kept on screaming at me that no dogs are allowed! I looked at her and said wow you are so unbelievable and left. Still don’t have my package try to reschedule it for redelivery and it hasn’t come… At this point I guess I have to just dispute the charge and have the items sent back. Most low life employees I’ve ever seen

I use Click and ship for my business. 2 day delivery. It was going to Dallas P.O. and said that it would be there by July 25, of which I shipped on July 23, it arrived on July 26. Then postal person could not find the street, when confirmed as it is a street. I have shipped many things there in the pass. That person enter in non-deliverable was first response, then got another back saying that was unsafe area to leave the package. Really, said my client. I called Monday morning and lady answers and place me on a 45 min hold. She came back and gave her my shipping number, then place on another 15 min hold. Then came back and said I call you when we find the package. She called back in 5 min and said do you want us to deliver today. I said of course. Then just hung up on me.

Bad service!! I came here mail my online return and the package is pre paid . I am sure which box I should use. The company told me I should put into a Priority Mail packaging. So I put into a box and also put the label inside in case USPS do not allow me use the large box. I went to the store and I gave to the Post office work, she is an Africa America woman. She told me I can not use the large box. I said OK and I can just open it and I have the package inside. I have everything ready with the label you can mail it. She is absolutely rude and ask me stay away. It only took me 10 seconds open the box and she asked stay away, she has no patient to do her job. She treats the customers like a criminal.if you have a video, please look at the video. It was Saturday, 06/20/2020

I can not believe the conversation I just overheard with the cashier in the image. Her: “ hi” “hi” … man waiting for receipt “Happy New Year by the way” Her: no response “You don’t seem to happy” …jokingly Her: I really just don’t see a reason to have any conversation” “Wow, you have to be nicer than that. You should try” Her: no this is the way i am. Come in tomorrow and you’ll see. As I’m writing this she’s yelling at another man about something else. I can’t believe how unprofessional this post offices is. I’ve had a box here for probably 10 years and I’m pretty much never greeted with any smiling faces always attitudes and people telling me no they can’t do things are very basic. I wouldn’t have put a picture up if she would’ve had on a name tag.

Returned a package here on 4/22/22 and they stole my package. I purchased a box from this location to put my returned items in. The women at the desk saw the contents of my package. Upon handing my package to her she never scanned in my return and it is still saying it has not been received by the retailer it just is saying USPS is awaiting my items. I went up there 2 weeks following me dropping off my items and my box is not at the store. They told me to file a claim but that was useless because it was a prepaid shipping label which I used to return which did not have insurance. So I paid $160 for items I’m sure one of their clerks is now wearing!! I will HAPPILY drive to another USPS before ever using this location again!

  • KENDRA CLEWIS

They are extremely slow and are too busy talking to help customers. Some employees are rude and useless. The mail carrier for my apartments lies about deliveries, put my mail in the wrong box and I'm unable to contact to anyone to report his horrible job. UPDATE 8 months later and I’m still having false deliveries, mail put in wrong boxes, and missing packages. Recently my headphones were stolen by USPS carrier, reported the problem and the case was closed without resolving the issue. Another pair of headphones were out for delivery March 25th but never were and they have been at this post office since March 26th and I can’t get ahold of anyone to see about picking up my package.

  • Patina Henry

I am always getting the run-around about my lost package in the mail. I talk to the clerk, the mail man and the supervisor. They all tell me different things. No one ever has a solution. I have to constantly get holds put on my mail when I order things that have to come to the post office. I've lost hundreds of dollars and I'm sure they all know my name and face when I go in because they are always misplacing my mail. No one is ever helpful here. Everytime they start an investigation it's never complete. I'm still waiting to hear back from a claim from 2 yrs ago.. no call no email, just dead silence on their part. They just need to fire everyone and start from scratch.

  • Paula Jones

Question is it that you provide mask for customers if you want them to wear one? I’ve been to the other US postal place in Dallas. Bobbie yells to the two at the back of the line (me and a guy) you need a mask I asked for one and she Bobbie says I gave them all out. She then says no mask no service. Being rude and caring if I wear a mask is crazy! But let alone just the notes everywhere saying put the pen back don’t do this don’t do that is so crazy! What do you all do as workers. The attitudes are unnecessary! Robots please come take these jobs!! Folks if you don’t want your day ruined drive a little further to a different store.

  • Isaiah Lawson

They do a decent job! I mean its the post office. These people work 10hrs a day and 97% of the complaints they deal with are user error. I'm surprised they don't yell at most costumers. And Robert Gonzalez wrote rude black ladies...? So every Black lady in there is rude? You met every black women that worked there? Stop generalizing people by there race and gender. Just a friendly suggestion. And stop complaining about stamps price going up. You want to send a letter from Dallas to Seattle and it cost .57c from the .55c you are use to paying. Shut up! Okay my rant is done.... Have an amazing and blessed day my friends!

  • Sohail Chaudhry

Had to go to the neighborhood post office after our mailing supplies ran out at the law firm for the holidays cards. Fortunately, the line wasn't super long when i got there... Was greeted by a super friendly smile by La'Shanique, who went out of her way to help me properly send out 70+ packages to clients and to make sure they would arrive on time to spread the holiday cheer! La'Shanique was awesome...she even delayed taking her break to finish my lengthy transaction and didn't complain a bit when my initial estimate of the number of packages proved inaccurate! Sorry to everyone in line that was after me!

  • Samet Kourin

Staff appear to be friendly for the most part at first but if you have ANY issues they immediately turn combative, typical ghetto behavior. Last few times I've been in they are constantly begging for higher reviews, just be aware they have EARNED their low score This place has lost a couple of expensive packages at this point, but they mark them delivered successfully so it's impossible to make a claim against them. I suspect their people are stealing any packages they think they can resell. Only lost boxes in branded packaging, never lost any boring brown boxes, even if the items were way higher value.

  • Jamie Manley

Lazy and unfriendly staff. Came to this usps with three boxes for international delivery, customs forms already filled out. Only to be told they couldn't deal with them as they were closing in 10 mins and it would take a 'long' time. This, however is false as I was just at another location, also close to closing, and the only woman working managed to get them done in less than 10 mins and it was three I had there as well. It has never taken long the countless of times I've posted international boxes. I've not experienced this at any other usps but am not surprised with the countless of terrible reviews.

  • K K

11/19/22 sat around 1:40pm. Don’t know this guys name who was working the counter by himself today, but he did an amazing job. Walked in of course there’s a line of people trying to make it before it closes. He’s courteous to tell everyone in line that international shipping is too late so they don’t waste their time waiting in line for nothing. He was speedy and kind, trying to get everyone in. Very efficient, verbally tells customers exactly what to do and expect so that the line moves faster. I was impressed for a USPS. Hope he gets a raise, bonus, or promotion. Dude knows what he was doing.

  • Stephen

I've been going to this post office for about 5 years I just could not believe all the negative reviews I know in the past years I've had some ladies that in there were very rude but my package has always been delivered to the right residence and the clerk that I usually go to is very professional and always friendly and courteous his name is Terrence Nichols if you can go to him he's always very courteous and friendly and my priority mail envelope allways gets there to the right location i usually go early in the morning around 9:30 am and 10:am ✝️ August 31 2022

  • Loren Wilkerson

Terrible! I never get my deliveries on time! EVER!!! Don't expect to get multiple packages at the same time either. They'll deliver one, but not the other(s). One time, the mail lady delivered the mail, the USPS tracker said my package was out for delivery. Well, she leaves. I had to go chase her down next door and ask her if she had a package for me. She said, "3911?" I said, "Yes..." Then she grabs my box, and said, "Here you go." Seriously??? She skipped over us intentionally!!! This is one of many examples I can provide to back my review. By far the laziest post office I've ever had...

  • Regina Walker

The African American lady with the long braids who works morning is beyond rude. I simply wanted to purchase a stamp. She didn’t greet me which is pretty much common curtesy when you’re working with the public or in customer service period ! There was an issue with the card reader and she proceeded to huff and puff about it as if it was my problem then she mumbled something under her breath. I thank God daily he saved me and keeps me covered! Cause when I tell you girlfriend needs a reality check ! Oh and if it helps this was 6/18/20 around 10:00 am. Since I don’t know her name.

  • Ben Lafleur

Yeah.. I don't know what the other reviewers were talking about. I came in to mail a few items and filled out the wrong form while I was in line. One of the employees came around asking if anyone needed help. I asked her if I'd done the form correctly, she explained that I needed a different one and got it for me.. all very nicely. Not condescending as some of the other reviews had claimed. They did keep asking everyone to fill out forms before they got to the front of the line, but that is just to keep the line moving and again - everyone was very pleasant about it.

  • T

this place is literally so bad its just humorous. staff is consistently rude and condescending. i have been in there when there is a long line and literally watched 5 workers sitting in a break room while one person was behind the counter. another time i was told (rudely) to come back at a certain time for a pickup and when i chose to wait there in the lobby the visibly annoyed worker pretended like she didnt see me and made me wait an additional 15 min while she literally did nothing lol also, it looks like it hasnt been cleaned or organized in years yikes

  • Andrew Tran

Terrible service. Can never get a hold of them. I shipped a package overnight and next day delivery, paid $100 for the shipment. Valuable one. However they delayed the package 3 days and waived the signature requirement by themselves without asking me. Deliver the package 3 days late even tho there's no recipient. Now my very expensive got lost, no one was able to sned it back to me. Contact the customer service 3 times. They open the case and closed the case without resolving it. I still don't have my package. Might need to get the police involve?

  • Ioannis Papadopoulos

One word: Terrible. They tried to delived but I was away, they left a note. 10 days later I sceduled a redelivery for Saturday so I'm not in work and be able to stay in and wait. They never delivered, even though I got a confirmation mail the day before. I rescheduled again for next Saturday. It is Friday and I got a text saying "Notice Left -- No Authorized Recipient". WHAT?! It's been more than two weeks and the only way is to pay for taxi to get me there hoping I will get my parcel. Of course any attempt to reach them on phone is impossible.

  • Kevin Cameron

Quite possibly one of the slowest and most badly run post offices I’ve ever had the misfortune of having to line up at. 17 minutes to get to the front of a line of 6 people because only 1 of the 4 counters was manned. To be fair the one lady was lovely and knowledgeable and helpful. The line got to be 10 long at one stage. A manager appeared and I called her over. She really couldn’t have cared less about the unmanned counters. Don’t go to this post office unless you’re under the age of 50, otherwise you could die there.

  • Hanaan Howard

They always soooo rude! My packages are constantly getting “lost” in delivery. The manager Charles never know where his employees are and who is working what streets. They never pick up their phone. Should I keep going? USPS needs to fire everybody at this location and do a fresh rehire. Never dealt with a kind person who could resolve my issue. In 1 year of living here I’ve had to show my face over there 4 times. Stop letting your employees steal packages and act ugly when people come complain about it.

  • Demi Williams

Three other individuals and I arrived today prior to 6pm (all by 5:55-5:57pm) to locked doors and a male employee who repeatedly unlocked the door to let others out but refused to let any of us in. One man simply wanted to check his box, which he relayed. This is wholly unacceptable for a government office. The male employee indicated he would ask another person (two women were also working), and after speaking to her, he repeatedly came back to allow other customers to exit and denied us entry.

  • Taylor Pass

I wish I could give no stars. Extremely rude EVERY SINGLE TIME. Steven continually gives me problems every time I come asking for any sort of assistance. Today I was listening in on a conference call with the phone to my ear and not talking at all and he refused to mail my package until I hung up even though I was not speaking into the phone. I walked out and will never be going back. This is not the first time Steven has treated me like this. Beyond unacceptable.

  • Audrina Street

I’ve been to this location 4 times, I’ve put my package for re-delivery twice and today I go there and this employee says to me “They lost your package, the guy that is supposed to deliver it ain’t been to work, so idk”. And she had the nerve to shrug her shoulders and smile... The customer service here is unprofessional to say the least. FIND MY PACKAGE, please and thank you. They’ll know exactly who I am when they read this. How do you lose someone’s package?!

  • Nutt Chokwittaya

Yes, this is the most bad USPS I have ever met in my live. Extremely rude to customer, I sent an international mail for 20 days and didn't arrived yet. I went to ask, they did not provide me a tracking number at first, when I went to ask them, one of a them told me they cannot do anything, and push a problem to be only my problem. You should change from 6-10 business days to 1 month or 2 month, because it will be better for us to make a decision. "A hole"!!!!

  • Карина Давыдова

I send stuff through another usps offices over 2 years I never told before to purchase some special envelope to send first class package. It was nothing on my envelope no symbols no words but she keep pushing me to purchase another one. I will repeat never for over 2 years in any another usps offices I didn’t have such problems bringing the same envelopes for first class package!looks like she just like to make clients life more difficult, I don’t know why.

  • EPAS

They never answer the phone. I had dropped off a package about 5 days ago and when I was trying to track it. My tracking number says: Postal Service could not be located. I went to go check and they don't have anything! They most likely lost my package like what the heck! Now who is going to refund me my money! Worst Post office and there customer service is so rude and not friendly at all. Never going back. I'll just stick to the Garland Post Offices.

  • John Rodriguez

I had stop by this location several weeks before the Holidays to pick up some Post-card Stamps and was happy see a Supervisor helping those in line. So with that Said I decided to return today with some packages to ship out for Christmas and was given great service by the entire staff and once again the supervisor was working the crowd. I had two other Post office closer to me but came back to this location for there fast service and friendliness.

  • Bobbie Clark

Funny how there are only bad reviews for this post office. It seems like it's only people who don't get their way or can't follow rules set by the post office who post these bad reviews. I have visited this post office often and they are knowledgeable and fast. I have noticed that they have to deal with a lot of rude customers and are considered rude because they are only doing their job. Mandy and Bobbie are my favorite ones.

  • bryant brown

Always opens late and usually 1 person at the counter with a line of 30 people. No one calls for back up or help . They just let you wait and they take their time. Who ever is running this place certainly has no idea that the $ the public spends pays them and keeps the doors open. They are still lucky to be in business since e-commerce, ups, fed-ex,Dhl etc. If this was a retailer ... they would be closed!

  • Brian Nelson

Worst service of any shipper that I have ever used. I consistently get "Failed to Deliver" notices without any sign of attempt to deliver slips. I am convinced these people just leave packages in the van and mark them as undeliverable so that they do not have to walk any amount of distance. This happens even though the parcels will fit in the mailbox. DO NOT USE THIS ANTIQUATED AND INCOMPETENT SERVICE!

  • Lauren Spann

While the workers are nice and pleasant to speak to on the phone, they don't call customers back like they say they will. I have 2 missing packages and no one can give me an answer about where they are. They said that the only thing they can do is give me a number to file a complaint. I tried calling that number and it had been disconnected...if this wasn't my "local" post office, I wouldn't use it.

  • Sandra de Sanz

Terrible ! I was in this office this morning and I went to ask the price of an envelope because it was priceless and the employee basically yelled at me that she didn't know the price . She spoke to me with a rude and disrespectful attitude, too bad that I couldn't see her name , but she is an African American lady with long braided hair. What a shame that USPS have employees of this ilk.

  • Hadi H

The staff have a filthy attitude they bring from home. What happened to customer service? I was refused service because Bobbi was too lazy to find a package I dropped off less than 30 min ago. It wasn't even busy! You work for the government and the people you check-out are paying your salary. Count your blessings. The staff and management need to be refreshed asap. Very trashy location.

  • Daniel Schultz

This branch has had a package of mine for days. They state that they can't gain entry to my complex but have no issues delivering my normal mail. When I went to the store, there were 4-5 of us walking in at the same time, we get up to the counter and are told that they were now closed. No signage, no locking of doors, no customer service. Find another branch at all costs.

  • Lindsay Scarlatelli

I tried to call several times to report mail theft and vandalism - no answer. I've had several birthday cards either stolen or vandalized (cut open to take any monetary contents inside the card then delivered opened). I know it was not anyone at my complex because of the way our mail system is setup - it was through USPS. See attached picture of cut open card.

  • Lauren Taylor

Oh my god there is a lady that works at the front and is EXTREMELY RUDE AND CONDESCENDING. She needs to be fired ASAP - she has short hair and glasses. No one should be treated in such a disrespectful manner. If the USPS sees this review please advise your employee to fix their attitude or take action - considering that I pay her salary with my tax dollars.

  • Drew Aleto

They consistently lock the doors WELL BEFORE the posted times. PO Box customers PAY FOR THE SERVICE (I use the term "service" loosely) and demand access to the mail. I have consistently been locked out 30+ minutes BEFORE the doors are scheduled to be locked per their own website. PO Box access SHOULD be 24-hours, but that's another issue entirely.

  • Enoc Garcia

I don't know if it is bad luck but every time I have come here the treatment is not nice. This postal service center seems to be short staffed. Customers aren't appreciated and they are made to feel like they are being done a favor if they request help. I hope things can change. Don't come when it is about to close. You can feel the tension.

  • Casandra Pena

Horrible location. No way to get a hold of them. My package has been just sitting there for 20 days. Just sitting there. Plus they do not respect mask exemptions. Mask has caused breathing problems. I'm sovereign over my body and if NOONE picks up the phone, I'm screwed. So get the ghetto non serious people out of there and get it together.

  • Mindy Feng

zero star! I have been there twice, both times are the same way. let's just say...bunch of Zootopia sloths minus the cuteness, friendliness, and good attitude. I wonder if they can act like this just because it's hard for them to be fired. USPS really should evaluate performance of their employees more frequently and systematically.

  • Mahya Sahara

I was there for dropping first class package with the priority box ! The lady in front desk her name is Bobbi , noticed that and explained me everything about their policy and differentiation between first class and priority packages. She was super helpful and patient and gave me another box.Thank you for your great customer service

  • Laura Jo Crabb

Sent via regular mail an important document and it never reached its destination. Perhaps a ploy to ensure an up charge for priority shipping? Either way a simple letter should’ve been delivered from Dallas to Austin! I just needed a stamp, but there machine never seems to have any! So I’ll not be going to this branch anymore.

  • C W

Simply wanted a quote to ship a large box! Was told nope. can't do it not without the box being there. I have a business shipping many boxes, just need some help with an estimate. Beyond stupid!! I live near this one. It is always is a negative experience. Maybe need to change the manager to get a better attitude in the staff.

  • Travis Lund

The Stars say it all. Staff moves like to speed of snails and the looks on their faces are absolutely miserable. Not happy people and not helpful. Went there on a Saturday morning; they had a line of people waiting for them to open 15-20 after the time they were supposed to have opened. I would avoid this place at all costs.

  • I AM T O

This is One Awesome Post Office. All of my mail ALWAYS gets placed in my PO Box. This has to be A Very Stressful Job, however, the workers and the clerks do a Great Job. They go above and beyond to make sure that all the customers are taken care of in a timely manner. This is at US Postal Office 2825 Oak Lawn Avenue 75219

  • Diana Man

This is absolutely one of the worst USPS locations ever. They are always so slow even when they see a line to the door. It’s a pretty big location too. Avoid coming here if you have to... it is always such a pain to have to rely on this location and I always get stressed or angry just thinking about this place.

  • Ralph Young

Some of these reviews are the most petty and unreasonable comments I've ever seen. Don't go to the Post Office expecting a five star experience when they are incredibly underfunded and doing their absolute best to keep up with demand. I needed a blue box, they had one outside, and that was everything I needed.

  • Tia S

I sell clothes in which this time around USPS was the carrier I had to ship through based on the shipping label. Apparently USPS doesn’t print shipping labels but although the service is not offered the lady at the front desk was very helpful with offering me suggestions to print. Great customer service.

  • Amanda Johnson

Every time I come to this post office location I leave happy. Usually USPS locations take FOREVER and it’s the slowest process, but Glenn is truly the most efficient human being ever. Not to mention everyone working the desk is always so kind and helpful. They all deserve the highest praise and a raise.

  • wendi ruth

Wow walked in to a busy line and one of the managers, sweet & professional was helping people in the line use the mail machine on the side. She was so helpful and had me out in less than 5 min. She was helping others at the same time with a joy and a smile that Was so encouraging. I'd totally come back.

  • Sally D

This post office has the friendliest staff ever! While I was there, one of them Came out to the crowd and said, “We appreciate your business!” He then worked to help people get their business done more efficiently. That’s the first time I can remember leaving a post office feeling HAPPY!

  • James Scott

The automated postage machine has been broken for months, so you have to wait in line (this after it was unavailable for months “for upgrades”). There are always a ton of people with usually one attendant working the line. The workers are nice enough, so that bumps it up to two stars.

  • Omar Cano

That Bobbie lady was really rude, instead of asking me nicely if I can fill out a form in the other desk she rudely told me to move in a really rude attitude, No need to remind her that she works for the public so she needs to be professional and courteous… plain and simple.

  • Karen Bush

A friend of mine sent me a package from Ireland back in the summer. Last we heard it was at this location. I still have yet to get my package and it's December!!! Oh and get this, ad far as tracking, yeah they didn't scan the package in so now it's "lost". I'm not giving up.

  • Laneesha Montgomery

The absolute WORST location I’ve ever experienced. Drivers are lazy & lose things. I had someone put an “attempted delivery” slip in my mailbox while they sat in the truck and ate a sandwich! I go to pick up my package from the location the next day and it’s damaged/ruined.

  • Shelley Bloom

I dropped off a box four days ago that hasn't been scanned in yet. The person behind the desk took it from me and said she'd take care of it. This is a return item worth $170.00. Do they have cameras in this place? I can't get an answer because nobody will answer the phone.

  • Sammy Rat Rios

They do not honor their PO Box access times, if the times on their website are even accurate. I needed to pick up a parcel ASAP and they locked the doors about 30 mins before ‘closing’ time. I went back the next morning at around 6:45am: locked. Back again 7:38am: locked.

  • Thomas Steude

These people never make an attempt to deliver packages. When I have to go pick them up the employees always are always rude. When buying online I stop to make sure that nothing will be delivered via usps, but sometimes there are carrier transfers so it's unavoidable.

  • KIRRA ORR

This place is horrible. This is the second time this week you all have said a package was delivered and it WASNT. The first time you all had the package and I inconveniently had to pick it up. This time it’s a passport! It was not delivered and we have travel soon.

  • Aron Bosley

Some kind of theft operation. Ordered a miniature to build and paint over a month ago and the website said their headquarters is this address. Judging by the other complaints I'm not the only one who's been ripped off. Hope this place gets shut down for good

  • Thomas Rogers

The staff was friendly but they lost my passport when I mailed it in for renewal in August. I've only used this location once, but if you have something important to mail such as a passport then you are probably better off going to a different location.

  • Grokio “Pup” Gunmar

Ok, 1st of all, it's a post office, not Disney world. City workers deal with rude, obnoxious, uneducated city folk day after day, hour after hour. Not as severe as DMV city workers but a fair good amount of bullcrap. Everybody thinks their

  • Kevin MacArthur

The postal workers that work the service desk are pleasant and helpful, but the work product of this post office needs improvement . I was pleased to see that the sign on the package desk telling patrons that no one is required answer the

  • Vibhuti Nanda

Received a notice that my package was at the USPS post office, so I came here to retrieve it. First time, I didn't have my notice with me, but they tried to look for it anyway. After ~15-20min, they gave up and I left my information for a

terrible service. paid $50.35 for an overnight delivery but the package never got to the destination. i tracked and learnt they expected the recipient to come and pick up the package at their office. what a way to render $50 service!!!!!!

  • V N

My property has always had a problem, 23 years. Mail carriers are never the same, postman never show up to deliver, stuff is delivered from other addresses, packages are always getting lost. It's time to close the USPS. I avoid the

  • Michelle Bourland

Since moving to the Oak Lawn/Highland Park area in August of 2014 I have had numerous problems receiving and sending mail. I contacted the Post Office in person and received no help. Obviously, they don't care whether your mail is

  • Ross Saifulla

Very unprofessional, rude ,careless, racist and useless staff and Manager Brazil. This is 2nd time I haven't received my mail but says delivered. Mailbox is secured and lock works fine. They either misplace or steal ,Ghetto!!!

  • Contessa Wills

I reserved a P.O. Box online only to be told upon arrival that none in that size were available & that I would need to request a refund online. I cannot request a refund for another two days per company policy.

  • Daniele Rosicarelli

One of the worst places on earth. People are rude and don't help customers during normal business operating hours. Please stay away from this place. Is not worth coming here and argue with them.

  • Peter Tran

I forgot to write “expedited” on my mail, but the employee doubled checked with me and wrote it on there for me. Both employees were mindful about customer’s time waiting. Much appreciated!

  • Tim Williams

I have had no mail for three weeks. several items returned to sender others simply disappeared Several checks have been mailed three times and still not getting to me

  • Ryan Dumas

I've shipped here dozens of times in 2023 for my small business and have yet to have a single issue. Line can be a little long sometimes but that's to be expected.

  • LaShuna Anderson

I always use the kiosk and I’m in and out within five minutes They are also new hours at the location five minutes away from here. See photo for details.

  • Tyler Copeland

I just love receiving and official document (my diploma) that states in gigantic letters on the front PLEASE-DO NOT BEND. Completely folded in half.

  • Steve Wingo

James,is the most competent Postal employee I have ever encountered. And I worked for the Post Office.Say hi, next time you see him at the counter.

  • pinrouter

I left my phone on top of the self service machine and a very nice young man retrieved it for me even though the Post Office was closed.

  • June Pham

It was 4:10 p.m., on Monday. There was a long line, but the staff asked us to leave so they could close the store without explanation.

  • Sarah Jamieson

Best USPS experience ever. Went in on a Wednesday morning which probably helped but the guy at the counter was super nice and helpful!

  • Rebekah Furstenfeld

Not my usual service to rate, but dang! This is by far the best usps location in Dallas. Helpful staff that takes initiative!

  • Dev Patel

Terry and sierra helped me get my package when it was lost in shipping. They were patient and tried their best and it worked!

  • M'sha Jefferson

The Customer service was great. The staff was extremely helpful, patient and knowledgeable.

  • Teah M

I didn’t get his name, but thank you to clerk #70 for the quick and friendly service!

  • recan777

I was in and out without a problem and did not have to pay too much for my postage.

  • Dave Chen

Best usps ever. Everyone working here is so nice.
