RETURN EDIT: I returned today to have my passport set up. The lady I had originally spoken with directed me to go to the UPS store across the street to have my photo taken. I returned with photos in hand and the process was smooth from that point on. A big change from the last time I was there. I'm glad I was treated equally today, especially from the same woman. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I went in to see if they had a kiosk to print my passport photos I had previously taken. The woman at the counter looked at me like I was an absolute idiot for thinking they would have one of those. She then asked to see the picture (Not sure why it would matter as there was apparently no way they could pull the photos off of my phone) and made this twisted face like it was a hideous picture. She then sent me down to the lady to the far left. I stood in the line (There was only one woman there who was being serviced) and the new woman at the counter snapped at me, saying "Ma'am, you need to fill out the clipboard." I walked over and filled my name out, and returned to the line. She then snapped at me again saying "MA'AM, did you fill out the clipboard?" "Yes?" "Then you need to go take a seat." (Mind you, these words come with a negative look and tone I can't convey over text) I just kind of blinked at her for a minute trying to figure out what I did to this lady to make her so rude to me. I had a seat and she called me up a few minutes later. After I explained to her I needed to just print the pictures and I knew I apparently couldn't do them here, she told me they could take new pictures for me there for $15, which I didn't want to do because I already had the pictures done. I left to have them developed somewhere else and just didn't go back because I didn't want them to treat me poorly anymore for the day. I'm just overall disgusted with people treating customers like garbage as I try to go out of my way to be nice to people and this kind of behavior is really unacceptable I feel. Hopefully they can get some decent staff that actually values their jobs enough to at least pretend not to be rude.
Read all the one star comments and I totally agree with them . Yesterday I came to drop off a package with prepaid label, which should be very easy to process, but it took me almost about half an hour and this place is not even busy at that time. The lady at counter YELLED at me to acknowledge me I need to buy a tape for label Like do you know how to speak to people with manner? After I leave and came back with my wallet, I saw her laughed while chatting and helping with the white women which was stand behind me in line, which makes me feel weird because of how she treated me just a few minutes ago. Completely a different attitude. When the woman left, I thought she was calling me because she was saying something to my direction so I step forward. Then I was completely ignored while she’s doing her paperwork and talking to ppl. After asked her two times, she ask me to leave the counter and see the label in front of the counter - Please wait until you are called by the clerk. Wow, I was wondering how can an ill-bred person like her work in such nice building in downtown? As a customer, I feel like I am the one who serves her. I would definitely back to use UPS because their staff will never embarrass customers and having such a low productivity.
On Friday 1/20 I was rushing to get 14 packages sent out near the end of the day (probably about 530ish) I had never sent out packages like this before and was doing it for work and was very frazzled. The ladies at the post office were so very kind to me. They made me feel less stressed and did not make me feel bad at all for dropping off 14 packages near the end of the day. I later looked at the directions for the labels I put on and realized I had put tape over the barcodes which you are not supposed to do because that makes it impossible for them to scan the barcode. I panicked thinking none of the packages were probably sent out. When I checked, I was pleased to see that they had all been sent out and were all either delivered or out for delivery. This tells me that these workers manually entered in the tracking information for all 14 packages at the end of the day on a Friday which they didnt have to do especially since I did not follow instructions. I want to say thank you so much to the ladies that helped me. What could have been a horrible experience ended up being a great one. Keep up the good work and if I ever have to drop off packages again, I will be sure not to put tape over the barcode! :)
Extremely rude customer service! Apparently, the employee won't get fired for bad customer service so they can do whatever they want. I had to meet employees in order to mail an envelope(30 minutes), the first employee asked me to step aside to complete paperwork, and she left. So when I finished paperwork, everyone in line thought I was cutting the line though I was instructed to do so. The second employee had a printer issue. The third employee was racist, rude, and yelled at me. The employee welcomed 2 guys before me and she let these 2 guys stand behind each other. But when it was my turn, she refused to talk to me and yelled at me for not following the sign. She intentionally humiliated me and asked me to read the sign loud at the store. and continuing gave me a very horrible attitude during the entire process. But you know what, my envelope was finally mailed successfully through her! So this place is cheaper than FedEx, but if you are an Asian female, you will be treated horribly! Let's reborn to be some cute guys then you probably will get better respect in this place!
I always thought people were too harsh on USPS branches. This one definitely deserves 0 stars. I have never had a less pleasant interaction than here, and it's been consistently bad each time I go. The employee this time seemed determined to be unhelpful from the moment I stepped up. Others in front of me were experiencing the same. I had to ship a pre-paid package (return) and asked for a priority mail envelope (since there were none in the kiosks). She told me they won't ship my package because it's too small. I said I knew that, which is why I was asking for an envelope. She interrupted me only to tell me that I have to buy tape too. I knew that, too. I brought my own anticipating that. She turned me away saying "we won't ship that" over and over. Couldn't ship my package that day and missed the return window as a result. I appreciate USPS, and I'm sympathetic of how understaffed and overworked many of the employees are right now. But this is just embarrassing for USPS, and frustrating for its customers.
First I brought my package up to the woman working behind the counter, and she told me that she could not accept it without a return address. I've sent many other packages without return addresses, and I told her that I didn't have another address (as I was moving and there was no other address to give) and she told me to put the same address on there for both. That doesn't make any sense to me, but whatever. Next she told me that it couldn't have duck tape on it (not since 9/11 or something, guess I'm not sure why a couple pieces on the outside would have anything to do with that), which I had put on the box to cover up some old packaging info. I took it off, but she didn't say anything about the duck tape that was leftover from the last mailing of the box that I had covered with packing tape. The package was also extremely expensive to send, over 20$ more than I expected (it ended up costing 56$, but I didn't have any other option). If you can find somewhere else to go, then avoid this place.
0 star, but there is not that option. My experience was terrible like everyone else’s. I had to drop off a USPS package with a pre-printed return label. I tried to scan the barcode at the self-service machine several times and it did not go through. As a result I stood in line. The line was short but took like forever because only 1 out of 4 people there was working. Maybe they made an agreement: One person works at a time, the others get to chill and do their personal stuff then shifts. When it was my turn, the woman at the counter told me to scan the barcode at the machine, I told her I did several time and it did not work. She insisted that I did it wrong. Come on, I’m a tech person, I know how to scan a barcode. When I asked her would she be able to scan the barcode, she replied with a no. Seriously, she has one job. I went to the UPS store nearby, the guy greeted me and scanned the barcode in 15 secs. Should have just gone straight to UPS. Stay away from this place if you can.
All the staff I interacted with during my time there to submit my passport application were very nice and efficient, especially the lady that approved my documents and finished my transaction. I, unfortunately, didn't catch her name but she was so incredibly helpful and kind! She actually helped me during her lunch break because she didn't want me to have to wait until after. Even still, she was courteous and patient with me when I was a bit of a mess. As someone with social anxiety, I can't express how appreciative I am for how she treated me. I can't speak on the other services offered here but I would recommend coming here to get your passport application done! I also recommend making an appointment online. I would say it's a bit confusing which counter to approach when you're there since there are a few for different services (especially for those who can't read English well), but other than that, I have nothing bad to say!
Today, I had the immense displeasure of having nearly a half hour of my time wasted by a woman who told me that I “did it wrong” when I was using the self-service machine and implied that I was lying when I said that I had thought I was free to use the machine because she herself had greeted me when I walked up. Also: a security guard came and stood over my shoulder during all of this, as if I was causing trouble. I didn’t do anything wrong. I was having an argument I didn’t want to be having because this god awful woman was harassing me. She wouldn’t leave me alone. And when I became visibly upset that she was wasting my time and treating me badly, she was even WORSE to me because of it. Seriously, all I wanted to do was mail my package and leave. If she hadn’t decided to spend 20 minutes telling me that I was wrong (when I wasn’t) and INSISTING that I do things her way, I would’ve just mailed my package and left.
Certified mail w/return receipt from Prospect Hts, IL to 69 w. Washington St., Chicago (approximately 30 miles) on Wed., Oct. 19th. It is now Friday, Oct. 28th and it still has not been delivered. This was a voting ballot. I have called several times but not one person can assist me. On-line tracking shows it arrived on Oct. 26th at Chicago, IL 60602 & is "available for pickup". These morons can't deliver it across the street. When I call they tell me the same thing that's shown on the website & say it will "probably" be delivered the next day. Perhaps they think I'm voting Republican since I live in the suburbs. How in the world do these people keep their jobs? I've visited Chicago's main post office & these women were wearing slippers & chatting w/each other while the line grew longer & longer. So typical of Chicago and Illinois. No wonder people are leaving this corrupt state.
At first, I thought it was just me personally being treated rudely by the staff. Nope. Looked at the reviews here and on Yelp and I think it's safe to say this location in particular has some of the most disgusting, poor quality, unprofessional service in the city. No matter how nice you are to the staff, they'll still speak to you rude and in a condescending manner. They don't make eye contact with you, and are ill mannered. I'd never wish for people to lose their jobs, however, this post office needs to find new employees asap. I only go here if I have to. I find it hard to believe that hundreds of people writing reviews are making things up. Better take heed and be careful, because I'm sure a lot of these rude employees are behind a lot of "missing"/"lost" packages in my opinion,
I don’t know how this location earned 2.2 stars. The customer service is atrocious. The window attendants won’t perform any post office services, and when you make a mistake doing it yourself, they yell at you, saying they don’t know where you’re from, but they don’t do any of that here. When you try to point out that most locations will help with postage, print a label, etc. they get angry and have more than one employee yell at you. They tell you to put your packages in the bin the self-service machine specifically told you not to. Then they yell after you “Jesus Christ” when you say that you were told to not put them in the bin. I don’t know what part of federal service employee confuses them, but you should receive the same level of service in every location across the nation.
I have mixed feeling about my only experience here so far. The lady at the booth selling envelopes and tape is friendly. She helped me packing my stuff and borrowed me a bit of tape (it's a tiny package), otherwise I needed to buy a new roll ($3.5) which I wouldn't need after this time. However, the middle-age woman behind the counter who charged me was extremely unpleasant. Not only being sassy when scanning my package (the code is slightly covered by the tape, but didn't effect scanning), she was also rude after knowing that I didn't buy a new roll of tape, and she literally said to my face with despise, "This is why this place is not making money." And when I asked about my tracking code she didn't even pretend to hide her impatience.
Abysmal and surreal experience. I needed to drop an envelope which had a prepaid label. There are no clear instructions on where to drop so I sit in line. The service at the counter was beyond rude and gave poor instructions. I observed other people going through the same process and showing confusion and frustration. In the end, you had to literally throw the envelope on the other side of the counter where a bin is placed. Besides that it is bizarre to have to throw a package over a counter and into a bin, the fact that there are no clear signs and instructions make it all the more frustrating. To top it off staff was rude and condescending. What a failed institution funded by unwilling hard working Americans.
Lets start with the good: Location. In Q4 2020 20% of what I sent never arrived or the contents were gone. When claims are filed through the website, the USPS they just send the claim to the offending site to investigate themselves. As a result nothing is ever resolved and they hurry to close the claim (maybe to impact their metrics, but at this point I seriously doubt USPS has metrics. Inefficient: The woman doing packages/passports sits idle while the line is long. She should be have crossed functional capabilities especially during peak hours. USPS is the cheapest upfront but when you factor in the inefficiencies and loss of postage paid & products they are the most expensive.
Terrible service!!! Went today to drop off two packages. I was waiting in line and when it was my turn, woman behind me poked me that the lady called me to step up (however I didn't hear that). So I came up to her station and put my package at her scale and SHE IMMEDIATELY PUSHED IT BACK TO ME and said she did not call me to step up! And then she started texting on her phone and having conversation with other employee next to her. REALLY?!?!?! By the way, her name is Yvonne. Most of times I have some issues with their service but THAT situation shocked me the most!!! US Post Office- you really need to have a better hiring process and selection of eligible candidates.
Stay away if possible! I came in to ship a package out not knowing exactly what to do. I had asked the first lady I talked to what to do and she just told me to put my package into a new box. I did, but she failed to mention which box so I put it into the wrong box. Had to re-box once again. When I talked to the second lady she told me I forgot to put the address on the top of the box. Both ladies were rude and I felt very disrespected. I made it clear to the first lady I wasn’t sure what to do and I felt tossed around by the amount of times they sent me back. I was there for over an hour and the place wasn’t even busy.
I needed to apply for a passport and was happy to see there was a spot to do it nearby. I checked on 3 different websites which stated passport hours lasted until 4 pm. I showed up at 3:15 pm and was told it was too late and quickly dismissed by the employee without her even looking up from the desk. As I walked away I noticed the sign for Passport Applications which said "Monday-Friday" and then had a big piece of tape over the hours. Seems pretty unprofessional to sporadically change the hours and then act put upon when someone shows up during the posted hours. Will definitely be avoiding this location in the future.
I'm a foreign national and a guest to Chicago, and this is the cental post office, the face of the city to many. Instead of serving my mail, in the busy hallway, a woman at the counter lectured me for several minutes about how I cannot read the signs. Frankly, I didn't understand half of what she was saying with her accent. A foreign person who is at a place like that or the first time should not be expected to know the procedures and be lectured Instead of providing customer service. Terrible experience, I should have used self service or used a different post service at all.
Seriously if I could give this place zero stars I would. I work on the street right next to this post office and my boss has me sending letters and packages out all the time. EVERY SINGLE TIME I have been in there, I have had the absolute worst service. The ladies that work there are so unbelievably rude and mean, I dread going in there. I have enough time to go to the next one a little further away and hoping their attitudes are at least a little better. I literally don't want to mail a package because I really don't feel like dealing with their Shi**y attitudes.
“It’s ten after five we’re closing” they close at six. A couple of the employees are helpful. The rest are the opposite, with attitude. Edit One star now. Postal workers including the manager Ms. Chairy are very unhelpful and confused. Suggested I leave a non conforming international package with them. They said worst case is I would lose the $25 shipping and possibly lose the package. This was the suggestion. To leave something with them they New was wrong to lose $25. New update. See the line. See the USPS reps hanging out. I’ll leave the counting to you.
Customer service is very rude and unable to provide assistance. After calling usps and being provided with information I came to finalize paperwork for my P.O. Box. The rep at the 211 S. Clark location was unable to help, tossed paperwork back at me, and she couldn't do this, she didnt have time and my paperwork was incorrect. However, it was a correction that took 2 seconds to fix. Instead she dismissed me and would no longer help. If you're having a bad day, that's on you to manage. Try not to take that out on others and answer the questions. Rude.
The employee with black hair and blonde tips/streak is EXTREMELY RUDE with a very nasty attitude. I wanted to mail a package and get a receipt. She directed to the machine which I did not want to use. The location wasn't overly crowded. I had time to wait to see a teller. The associate proceed to say, "I'm not scanning this. You can use the machine." Your job is to process packages! The manager, Ms. Cherry was out on a vacation but I will be back to file a complaint on that associate. She should not be a teller at the window with that attitude
This main location represents the worst of USPS. The counter service barely qualifies as "service" as no one has an ounce of humanity to help out anyone. I went in there to check on the priority package which hasn't moved for 5 days after dropping off at the same location - the counter service woman REFUSES (LITERALLY REFUSES) to even look up anything and kept on yelling at me to check on the website. And of course there is never a supervisor anyone can talk to there. The worst of the worst. Shame on you USPS. Shame on you.
Came to pick up package after customer service advise me that it was there... I get there... Nothing... Manager was useless she didn't want to get off chair to help or even look at packages that were being held... Part of me can wait for USPS to be defunded and private company takes over! I have been there about 10 times since last Jan and every time its a disappointment. Manager that I speaking about sits on far left side of customer service line. She is Hispanic or Filipino woman wearing glasses, she is comely useless.
Security does not allow yellow people without mask but does not seem to care about black and white without mask. The lady was so slow does not seem to care. Other workers are laughing at each other than taking customers they were talking for 5 min after they take a package from customers. I was sending an international mail but lady asked without any hesitation if it's going to China just bcz I'm yellow. She was trying to act nice but very rude and she raised her voice alot showing her frustration at me.
Probably one of the worst experiences I’ve had in Chicago. 4 days I’ve been trying to get my passport renewed. Been working with an individual named Gary. He tells me I have an appointment past 3 days for 3pm. I get there at 3 pm and tells me he can’t help me out that it’s a walk in. He makes inappropriate jokes to his co workers and customers in the building. If a manager sees this I would like to schedule a meeting on how unprofessional it is and how I’m wasting my time for 4 days straight
The worst customer experience anyone could encounter. I waited for 22 minutes, simply said, "Wow that was a long wait" and was absolutely berated by the woman behind the counter. "Everyone deserves to be treated dignity" she said. You know what? I deserve that, too, and I happen to be THE CUSTOMER. This is my 5th time dealing with the staff and every time it's the same. Who manages this place? You should be fired. Then get rid of these rude people behind the counter. We deserve better.
How is this the most busiest Post Office in Downtown CHICAGO with ONLY ONE cashier. The lady was insanely RUDE. I went to drop off my passport documents, asked her if she can review to make sure I had everything. And she said ABSOLUTELY NO, she has NO IDEA what’s needs. After I waited in line 40 mins on my lunch. How do ppl like this continue to get away with such horrible service to the paying customer. Where’s the manager? DO NOT RECOMMEND! They act like there working for FREE!
This post office is the worst!!! the employees there are so ignorant and unprofessional I went there to but 2 pre payed envelopes that’s all i wanted and I was refused service! they started to question me why i needed to buy my envelopes, 1st of all is not of there business and second i told them i neede to mail some documents. I don’t understand why would they even ask and what right do they have not to want to sell me a stamp i don’t understand worst experience in a post office
When you enter the post office from the Dearborn side and intend on using the self service machines, keep in mind, the two on the right don't work (once you get to the weighing portion, it doesn't weigh and that's it). So remember to use the two on the left. Also make sure you choose the red color packaging envolopes, it's much cheaper and you'll have issues with the self service machines if you use the blue ones. Other than these two setbacks, it's overall a good post office.
Always hate this post office. Run by workers who are rude, unhelpful, and just waiting to retire. Picking up packages makes them groan and take up to 15 minutes. Forget getting your passport here. Half the time there is no one to help you during “open hours”. If you’re paying for a PO BOX, they’re now closed on the weekend. Hours to check them have shortened to just weekdays, 7am - 7pm, so good luck if you’re working and commuting with rush hour traffic in between your shift.
I wish there was another post office downtown closer to my work. I've never had a pleasant encounter here. Every person who has "helped" me has been rude. Perhaps investing in some customer service training would benefit this place. It's worth paying the extra for FedEx, or saving your mail to handle at another location. I'm only giving it a star because I like the location for dropping things (so long as you don't have to interact with the rude staff).
Everyone at the USPS site has been super helpful, even the security guard who kept an eye out for my dog, whom I tied to a tree as I used the self-service machine and dropped off my packages. I would take the negative feedback given by others here with a grain of salt... just my observation that some people don’t go to the post office with a positive, respectful attitude, perhaps in a rush to mail items out or in the midst of a difficult day at work.
Do not understand the poor reviews - my experience here has always been excellent. I have gone early in the morning and during lunch time, took me less than 5 minutes, 20 mins, respectively. I had to post important documents to a govt. agency including a self-addressed speed post envelope and the employees helped me figure it out. They did have to refer guidelines for a couple of minutes but everything worked as expected.
I am from the SF bay area visiting Chicago. I had to go the P.O. today to drop off a pre-labelled priority flat rate envelope. I found the facility very clean and quiet without any long lines. The lady at the counter scanned my envelope and gave me the receipt. She even made an eye contact with me and wished ' have a good day". That's 4 star right there!! If she had smiled, I would have given this facility a 5 star!!
Showed up at 4:20 (closing is not until 6). No certified slips available at self help. Stand in 45 minute line. Asked for certified slips. Cashier says they will be unable to process my mail. Very easy to avoid by having the self help tables stocked. Would prevent a lot of the line and cashier's having to help customers so much. We know how to fill out an envelope. A poor manager is apparent at this location.
Is it the institution or the people that makes something worse? If it's the people, this location is full of individuals that embody these qualities - lazy, rude, unhelpful and incompetent. I recommend going there knowing exactly what you need and be ready to be bounced from counter to counter. They will shutter the gates at 5:50 and then say things like "6 pm means 6 pm". Yeah dude, but 5:57 isn't 6 pm.
I wasn't rude so Im Not sure what crawled up your butt lady, but next time I'm treating you the same disrespectful way you did to me. I had a question, a simple question for your simple mind- i didnt think it was too overwhelming for a POST OFFICE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP to let me know how much postage i would need to send an envelope. Can we get 4 or 5 more ignorant windows open please?
0 star if possible. Worst customer experience ever. Stay away if you can. The first lady is rude, arrogant and ignorant. We did not hear clearly the first time what she said to us then she proceeded to raise her voice and tone to embarrass us. She also act like she did not hear us the second time we were in line. Very disappointed. What a shame for USPS to have an employee like this.
Unfortunately, I never had a good experience in this post office. The ladies there are always rude and make you feel that you bother them even though it is their job to help you. I tried to use the self service kiosk before going to the counter but it didn’t work for me. Hope it will change one day because there are some people who might wanna do the job and won’t be rude like them.
The clerk cut me off exactly at 5:30 because as she announced 5 times “it’s my quitting time” so now I’m waiting in line - again - just trying to mail a certified letter. Literally sent me back to the line because she had to go home in the middle of helping me. Also it’s 5:30 pm, everyone coming from work and only 2 windows open. 4 out of the 5 self services kiosks are out of order.
I'm moving out of state. I went to this location to have PO Box forms and ID Verification faxed to the post office where my PO Box would be located when I move. They didn't say they don't have a fax machine or the fax machine was down..... No, I was told "my supervisor is on vacation all week and she's the only person who can send faxes"! SERIOUSLY!!!! It's a fax machine!
Incredibly rude people at the counter. They get mad at you for asking them to do their job, and it's like they are trying to pick a fight with you all the time. I'm sure some people there are great, but I have yet to encounter any of them. I now go out of my way to avoid this post office, even though it's the closest to my apartment. Shame for such a beautiful building.
Honestly, the staff here are incredibly rude and unhelpful, they make it seem like you being there is a huge inconvenience, and I've always been polite to them but they are abrasive, unfriendly and make me feel uncomfortable to the fact that I dread going there every time. Management should seriously consider making a change considering how many bad reviews there are.
Recommended for passport services in the Loop. They were efficient, genuinely pleasant, and even offered re-takes of my passport photo! I went in prepared and was done in under twenty minutes. (I originally had an appointment at 100 W Randolph that was cancelled last minute due to clerk shenanigans, and the clerks at this station graciously honored my appointment).
The clerks usually seem as if they are overworked or dislike their jobs. On my last trip, the clerk was clearly annoyed and frequently checked her watch and sipped her drink. I am guessing their system is on the slow side at this location... It took a good 30 minutes for her to do the order. Other post offices take a fraction of that time for the same parcels..
I've been here several times & it's great if you can do what you need on the self serve machines (there are 3-4, easy to use, rarely a line). If you need to wait in line for other services, on the other hand... Prepare to waste away & for staff members (the short brunette lady with glasses that's been mentioned before on here) to let others cut in front of you.
I gave them one star because I can’t give zero stars. A disgusting experience with a ghetto trash clerk, all worried about why I’m shipping my item in oppose to asking the proper questions. A 60+ year old acting like she 16. A disgrace. I used the kiosk instead, which showed more professionalism than the clerk! Choose this location at you own risk, people.
If I could leave a zero I would. They simply just do not want to do their jobs. Awful, rude, terrible… the list goes on. Though the security guards were nice and helpful… more helpful than the actual workers. I’d say avoid this usps at all costs however, if you have the time, you should go there so they have to do their job they applied to do.
Is there a way to give zero stars? Arrived at 3:30 to submit a passport application for our son and told the person was on break and wouldn't be back. Period. Try some other time or go somewhere else... Lady behind counter had a horrible attitude - truly unpleasant and deliberately unhelpful... I would try to avoid this place at all costs...
I sent a package to Sweden but my package was sent to Brazil. I don’t know what that Mexican lady was thinking. I lost $300 worth in eyelashes, and I can’t locate the package. The insurance will cover only $200. I lost a lot of money and time because the package was to an important client. Also, it makes me look bad as a business owner.
Worst USPS in the country. They have 2 people to handle a rush of 30 people. You wait in line for 2 hours, without any help. At which point they won't help you via the customer window, and send security to escort you to the Electronic Kiosks when you were merely asking questions. No wonder they are going bankrupt.
You will wait in line in a lobby that is about 85 degrees for 15 minutes before being rudely helped by someone who obviously doesn't want to be there. Last time the lady who was "helping" me talked to someone else on her cellphones headset the entire time. This place is probably what purgatory feels like.
This is worst experience I ever had over here loop usps, I was wait here for about 35 mins just for verify my mail and they take time when I say take time I mean could take whole day. Because you wait 35 mins they help you 5 to 10 mins and step away for 20 mins and come back 5 mins and step away forever.
I'd give this place zero stars if I could. Every time I go in there one or two people barely working. You see another rando or two jacking around in the background, too busy doing nothing to help the line of customers. Do yourself a favor and hit up another USPS. The service here is epically poor.
Way below customer expectations! I waited in line until my turn came up, the office clerk lady then called upon the customer standing in line behind me, without any explanation or justification. This sort of attitude comes along as plain discrimination and poor training for the job she hold.
Joining the others who had a great experience applying for a new passport at this location. Hands down the smoothest, easiest passport renewal I've ever had (and I've had a number). The woman running the passport window was warm and extremely efficient, I cant recommend her enough!
Typical USPS where employees are annoyed you’re there giving them business but you can’t blame them since the job is awful. There’s no signage for it but prepaid drop off packages need to be slid over a counter beside the self serve machines which is what I’d use this place for!
The staff was helpful and efficient. It was also much cheaper to overnight my package vs UPS. Edit 10/17/2018: Went back again on 10/16/2018 and the service was still great. Told me what forms I needed to fill out and had me out of there in minutes. Keeping my review at 5 stars.
Short Hispanic lady with glasses (manager?) let someone cut me in line when I was already waiting a long time for my passport. When I politely informed her that I was next, she reacted very rudely. I suggest she look for another job if she despises customer service that much.
I had to come here for a work errand. I always dread coming to this location as I have never been treated nicely. The woman that helped me today had an attitude towards me for having issues with my mail shipment. I feel like this is the new DMV. Leave upset and frustrated.
Extremely poor customer service. Waited for over 45 minutes and was then told I could only mail one of my two packages because the line was too long - and they wouldn't send the international one which was the only one I needed to wait in the line for in the first place.
They don't want to help out, they will direct you to self check out so quick and get mad or upset that you actually stepped up to their window and asked a question. Why are you there if you don't want to work?? Better yet why are you there waisting tax payers money
I was there to apply for our newborn daughter's passport. Having seen the low ratings this post office has, I went to my appointment with low expectations. However, I was very pleasantly surprised - I was being helped by Felice, who was friendly, competent and swift!
Terrible, stupid, and racist clerk. She didn’t know what she was doing and kept belittling me until her coworker stepped in to give her instruction. A simple dropoff turned into a 20 mins of demonstration of rudeness and stupidity. Absolutely terrible.
The worst post office ever! I paid them $300 to send the flyers to my customers. ONE MONTH later I receive all the flyers back in the mail! All flyers got expired by then. So total over $600 wasted for making flyers and “shipping”. Very disappointed!
The woman who assisted me was friendly enough, but they sent the package to my home address, rather than to the destination, which was clearly indicated (and in a different state). Pretty upset because now it won't arrive in time for mother's day.
Nice place The people seem nice. We did self-service so we didn't talk to anyone but it was a good experience. They were sanitizing when we were there but the pens didn't work. But who cares about that. I guess I was suggest just bring your own
If it would be possible to put 0 stars I would do it. No service wo masks!?!? It is 06.03.22. We was refused in service while another guy was served with a mask under his chin. They demand for masks but do not provide them. Fantastic stupidity.
Terrible service. The staff not only are very disrespectful, they talked about other customers with eachother. My first time getting my passport and they ruin a beautiful experience for one applying to one. They don't even deserve a one star.
Extremely rude supervisor lady. We went around 3pm on Black Friday, hardly any customers and supervisor lady refused to help me because I needed printed digital stamps for my 20-Holiday calendars. I requested that she can do 5- at a time
This is an update to my original 1-star post. I've been here several times in the past 2 years and there are more tellers and the line isn't so bad now. I usually have to wait 5 minutes or so. Also, they have self service machines if you
I NEED THE MAIL BACK YOU THREW AWAY OR STOLE. PLEASE SEND MY MAIL BACK. WHY AM I PAYING AND DRIVING TO THE POST OFFICE JUST TO HOPE AND PRAY MY LETTER DOES NOT GET STOLEN. WEAK UNION PEOPLE COVERING AND MAKING EXCUSES FOR OTHER EMPLOYEES.
It takes DAYS for them to scan a 1-day priority package. So basically, you don’t know where your package is, if it’s been lost or just sitting in the same bin where you dropped it off days ago. This has happened twice now. Pathetic.
My experience back in 2005 when I purchased stamps with my checking account that was closed however I felt safe because as I looked out the window while waiting in line the federal court house is just across the street. Remember Me
Huge well light building. There are 20 cashier desks but only 1 cashier working. Took my >30 mins to get to the desk. 1 out of the 4 self service boxes were open with a line of 10 people. Painful experience to post a letter
Every time I visit this post office (for passport renewal), I have all kinds of questions. They always go the extra mile to help me out. I really appreciate the team out here trying to make our day better and brighter.
They are so unkind and never helpful. They seem like they cant be bothered to work. Cant believe they are getting paid for their ridiculous service. Old male security guy is a racist too. Thanks usps for ur gd service.
The workers are so rude. I asked them a simple question so they gave me a rude comment. They should be fired. They lost my package as will. Bad people they should not work there at all if they don't like their jobs.
I have used this post office several times. I have found that most of the front desk personnel are efficientThere have been one or two people who did not appear happy to be there. But mostly they get the job done.
Very efficient, but they really need more staff working the counters. Thankfully, they have several self-service kiosks available if you need postage for a package or stamps. They also have money orders here.
No problems, the post office is open longer than others, until 6pm on workdays. The line was short and the service staff was courteous and professional. Had they not mumbled it would have been a 5 out of 5.
I wish I could give this location 0 stars. Ladies working the front are rude and have an attitude. They sit texting on there phones and moving super slow while everyone waits in line. Very unprofessional!
Ms Elsa, Ms Renee, Ms Ivonne, they’re all such wonderful ladies. I would give this place 5 stars if it wasn’t for the cockroach I saw a few months ago lol. But that has nothing to do with the service.
I came with an appointment for a passport that fold have taken 15 minutes. Left with nothing. Over an hour wait because they had issues with someone else's passport. Unacceptable and mismanaged...
The people at the counter are just so ineffective in doing their job efficiently. One of the ladies today spent 30 minutes with one customer whose package was not even ready to be posted
Still not sure how it will go when I get here. Things can move super-fast, and the package will arrive in no time, and it can take longer. 3 stars. At the end everything arrives..
PSA: when I visited today (June 13th, 2022), they require masks to enter and they do not have any single use spares to provide. Guard will kick you out if you don’t have a mask.
Wouldn't ship my package abroad if it said $0 value. Shipped multiple packages before, never an issue but at this location. Never again. I'll go to the main office on Harrison.
Really good customer service. There was a very nice representative who helped me get what I need to avoid the line entirely. I highly recommend using the kiosk if possible.
Being one of the larger post offices in the city, I've experienced below average wait times at this location compared to others. It's certainly one of the better branches!
I had been there for passport application. The staff was very friendly and helpful. She explained me to the process very detaily. I got kindly answers to my questions.
Very unfriendly lady that wouldn't give me any chance to talk to her. Very bad service that I had to experience that day. Ok it was quarter to 6pm but cone on ....
Worst customer service. They have so much attitude about helping and doing their job. Half the time employees are just standing around talking to each other.
Polite and helpful USPS employee suggested I didn't need to wait in line. Got everything done, with her help and was out the door in 2 minutes. Go here.
1 star in every category. The USPS employees at this location have mastered the art of disrespecting and insulting customers. Avoid if possible.
Big office but very less employees, You’ll have to in queue for 20-30 min for the service so be prepared. The employees are nice and friendly.
Why so angry? Absolutely unhinged. Yelling at everyone. Someone needs to find a different job. Management, take charge of this situation.
Great service , I came here early there was not so many people and the person who taken care of me she was very helpful , great job
