This post office is responsible for delivering some of my ebay and Amazon packages to me. Why? I don't know - Amazon dropped the ball with this contract! If an Amazon driver doesn't deliver all of his packages, he can be fired! If a FedEx or UPS driver doesn't deliver all of his packages, he will be disciplined! If a USPS driver (mailman) doesn't deliver all of his packages, who cares? USPS mail carriers lie! They are lazy too! All they have to say is, "they address wasn't accessible" and the postmaster is like, "Ok, cool!" I once ordered an outdoor subwoofer for a party. Amazon said it will be delivered Friday. The party is Friday. No problem - it's not like I have to put it together. I just have to plug it in. My speaker was "out for delivery". I was home watching out the window and watching my phone for the delivery. All of a sudden my package status turned to "undeliverable". I called and they said that there was no place to leave the package. I said, "I'm home! You knock and deliver it to me! You don't leave it anywhere!" So I checked my security cameras. I watched the USPS mail carrier lady deliver my letter mail to my mailbox by the street. Then I watched her go back to her vehicle and drive off. I asked the delivery person who delivered my speaker the day after my party what happened??? He said that my speaker was too heavy!!! It was 25.7lbs. Don't they ask you on your application and interview if you can lift 40 lbs??? Lazy!!! Plain lazy!!! Nothing to lose by not delivering your important packages!!! EDIT; This post office is commiting mail fraud. Packages need to be delivered by a certain time and a certain day. If that time is approaching and the mail carrier is nowhere near the delivery address, they will scan the package"delivered" to stop the clock on it. Scanning a package as "delivered" when it isn't, is mail fraud to the fullest extent. I was told by the postal inspector to call and report it to the Inspector General. Some of these honest mail carriers are commiting mail fraud and are going to go to prison!!! All you have to do is do your job the best to your ability. If you can't deliver some packages on time, people will understand. But as soon as you commit mail fraud to CYA, it's time to get someone else to do the job to the best of their ability - while you go spend some time in the slammer!!! Fraud is wrong!!! Any kind of fraud is wrong!!! I have video evidence and multiple eyewitnesses!!! Commit fraud, I'm reporting you!!!

This is the worst post office I've ever had regular dealings with. I consistently go days without receiving mail from this location, I've had checks sitting in the mailbox for days before they're picked up, and there have been multiple times where a package was scheduled to be delivered and wasn't but was marked that it was (I have a security camera on my front porch). I've also had mail delivered as late as 9:30 AT NIGHT. Their phone number is useless because it will either give a busy signal or will just ring and ring. I mentioned this after going to the post office and they said they were aware and to not bother calling. Because of that, I have to use my lunch breaks to go there in person anytime I have issues with my mail not being delivered/picked up. I was in there yesterday for 30 minutes with three people ahead of me when I arrived, and when it was finally my turn, the employee went into the back and I never saw her again. A manager eventually walked by and asked if I had been helped, took my information regarding my latest missing package, and went into the back to look for it. He came back empty-handed and said that it was probably out for delivery that day, but that because it was incorrectly marked as "delivered" that there was no way to track it. My package didn't arrive that evening, so I'm going to have to take another lunch break from work to talk to someone in person again. My prediction is that I'll wait in line, explain the problem again, and will be told that it will most likely be delivered today. I would say, on average, I'm getting mail service 3-4 days/week. I've made multiple complaints online and have never received anything other than an automated response.

I was seated in the lobby with my two children waiting for the Passport clerk to finish up with another customer. The 'manager" pops up at the front desk and begins asking people in line if anyone was there to drop off or pickup a package. She then turns to me and asks if I was there for a passport. I affirmed and she yells, "where's the father?" I was a little stunned by the question because it was none of her business and she was extremely loud. I responded he's out of town to which she said well the only way you can get a passport without him is if he is INCARCERATED. Was this white female assuming that because my HUSBAND was not there, he had to be incarcerated? I told her that is inaccurate. She stated it again, more loudly than the last time. I replied again that she was incorrect. As the woman (Ms. Marilyn) who was handling the passport requests walked past her, she gets her attention and says to her this lady can't use the form because her children's father isn't here. I have actually taken the time to READ the application instructions AND am completely aware of the documents I need to apply for a passport. For this woman to abruptly insert herself in a matter that is clearly out of her authority (and common sense) was extremely rude and unprofessional. I am wondering if should would have responded to a white male the same way. Would his children's mother have to be incarcerated for him to get a passport without her? Ms. Marilyn was extremely efficient, pleasant, and apologetic for her colleague's asinine behavior. She knew exactly what to do and confirmed that all of my documents were in perfect order. Thank you, Ms. Marilyn for your assistance.

This is the most unprofessional office I've ever experienced in my life. It's a shame that our tax money is going to this joke of a government office or paying the salaries of the completely incompetent manager. When my carrier started yelling and throwing things at my dogs, through the fence, for barking when he was on the phone (while working); I called to ask for another carrier. Keep in mind the dogs were in the fence and posed no threat to this man who was screaming at my innocent dogs for doing their job. The manager said they would hold mail for 30 days. I never signed anything agreeing to this, as the next day I was in an accident and can't walk for 2 to 3 months. So my mail just vanished. I finally got down there on crutches, and surprise, my mail for an entire month is missing. Just gone. This has been 6 weeks, still not getting any mail or any packages I've ordered and since I can't leave the house desperately needed. I called the 800 number today, apparently the manager "resolved" my issue by determining I would only get mail 1 day a week, when the dog abusing carrier isn't working. I had been patient until I heard this. No phone call to alert me of this, nothing. Now I am following through whatever chain of command it takes to have this resolved. I can't believe these people are getting paid anything, let alone taxpayers money. This whole branch needs an overhaul and reading the reviews I'm not the only one who thinks this. Side note- the employees in the branch have always been very nice. If anything a little sad, probably the result of working for such a horrible manager.

U.S.P.S. 3400 S. Carrollton Ave Nola 70118 On 1/31/19 I had the pleasure of speaking with Ms.Marie (Postal employee)over the phone at our Carrollton St. Post office in New Orleans la. I hope that you would locate her and credit her with this review. I called the post office. on 1/31/19 wanting to know the disposition of a certified mail notice that I received on 01/29/19. Ms./Mrs. Marie answered the call, she was polite, well spoken, and courteous. She demonstrated excellent communication. She was very patient, she listened, without interrupting, until she could grasp what the call was about. After she obtained all of the information from me, she asked if I could hold on for a minute so she could check the status, and would come right back..Well, past experiences taught me that, that was not going to happen..I've heard that many times before. But, to my surprise and delight, she came back, sooner than expected, and gave me the information I needed, and quickly resolved my concerns. That was appreciated, meaningful and unexpected. U.S.P.S is fortunate to have Ms. Marie. She is truly a gem..and a Credit to our local Carrollton Post Office. This confirms that U.S.P.S. is committed to providing each customer with the highest caliber of customer service, an act that demonstrates a genuine desire to satisfy, if not delight, their customers. Went there today to get mine and my daughter's passport paperwork processed. We had completed all our paperwork ahead of time and had our pictures taken prior to arrival. My daughter and I noticed that the office was open and no employee present. We arrived about 9:15 am. We signed onto the sign-in sheet and waited. The clerks saw us sitting there and deliberately ignored us. After 30 minutes, I went to the counter and asked if someone was working in the passport office? He rolled his eyes and said I will be over there in a minute. He then proceeded to make disparaging comments to a male customer at the pick up counter about me. When he did come over, he was condescending and rude. He spelled my daughter's name incorrectly and when I indicated the error he made a comment about sometimes wanting to grab people and shake them. We left after 10am. I have never been verbally abused by someone in an office before and was numb about it. I couldn't believe anyone would have the audacity to treat someone so rude for asking a question! I wondered that if I had been male would he would have treated us differently? After this type of treatment, I will never return. Not all post offices would tolerate this type of behavior. I have been to many and they are always friendly. This one is the exception.

They never answer the phone when you have an issue with a mail carrier or to check on a package. The mail carrier never places the appropriate mail in the boxes. Mail that isn't in your zip area is placed in your box, packages are dropped at the mailbox and get stolen. I recently found mail from the bank on the ground outside of my apartment that belonged to me and my husband. That is so unprofessional. Makes me wonder if the postal service hires anyone. People packages are just dropped on the ground inside the apartment complex and can be stolen by anyone all because the young ladies that are mail carriers are to lazy to deliver the packages as well as the mail. Whatever happened to old school delivery where people received there mail without problems. Because I experience these things I will have to just pay ups or FedEx to deliver my packages. If I had to grade this postal delivery I would give them an F+ because I am so tired of my packages as well as my mail being placed in the wrong box and at the wrong address all because the mail carrier is to busy talking on the cellphone and not doing her job.

Well what can I say that hasnt already been said about this absolute joke of a government facility? Let me try: first of all i recieve my home mail through this station. Delivered mail is spotty, with daily delivery at 8-9 0'clock at night. Saturdays is almost always a "no show".. Myself and all of my neighbors are complaining about it. To no avail. I recieve pkgs from ebay, amazon, wayfair etc.. When i get them. Usually they are sent to some other address, or lost. One recent pkg i waited on they simply stamped "business closed" on it... Customer service is non-existent, resolving of issues a gamble. I reccommend people use either some other post office. Or pay for premium shipping. If anyone doubts that New Orleans is basically a third world city.. Just take a trip to the Carrollton post office! I wish this rating offered Minus 5 stars.. Because this is what the place deserves. Worthless, lazy, dont give a damn employees in a smelly run down old shack of a building. You could get mail delivered faster and more effeciently by mule train...

I went to drop off a package with a QR code. First of all, I was there for over 45 minutes. The man who was helping me, Larry, was extremely rude. I understand it’s not his fault for the system not working but when someone says things like “well I guess it’s customer day” referring to the long line of customers waiting to be taken care of, I get concerned. He started to ask me about myself, and when I told him I’m missing a class because this is taking so long he told me to just get someone to take notes for me and that it wasn’t that big of a deal. Apparently, “when you go to medical school you’ll need patience, so you should learn to be more patient.” He then proceeded to tell me to smile more….all around just a horrible horrible experience. Oh and apparently the internet was down that entire time, and he failed to inform me of that. I ended up cutting my loses and taking my package home with me after almost an hour of wasting my time.

I finally took an 'official' survey and left some comments through the website from my recent receipt, but I wonder how much USPS will take mine into account because it was generally negative, hah. I'll lay it out short and simple PROS: -You can rent PO Boxes - they have a Passport office - plenty of parking space if you drive, also pretty close to the RTA bus stop - convenient location for Uptown-Midcity folks CONS: - NOT ENOUGH WORKERS UP FRONT, or perhaps the issue is NOT ENOUGH efficient, well-mannered, professional workers. Yeah I know government jobs aren't the best... - Clerks are unfriendly at best, rude, irritating and infuriating at most. Some of them either seem to have hearing problems or don't have a good grasp of English - Closes too early on weekdays for my tastes, 4:30pm?! TLDR: If you need to interact with a person, I strongly suggest GO TO ANOTHER USPS location.

  • S. Nicholas Burlison

This Post Office is probably one of the most overall incompetent post offices in the country. I would strongly recommend using a different post office for shipping and if you are receiving or shipping to (through) this post office in zip code 70118, I would get a sig required. This also includes Amazon and FedEx packages that are using the USPS for the 2nd leg of shipments (usually free or reduced shipping rates). I have had no less than 5 items show as delivered, according to the tracking info, to only find that the package was indeed not delivered. I have had packages damaged beyond repair and packages shipped from here that not only never make it to their destination on time, but also get sent to entirely different zip codes across the country. Lazy carriers. Incompetent management. Garbage.

  • Tyler Wright

A full season of The Wire could have been made about this place. With that being said I unfortunately have to leave one star in order to write this review which is giving this place more credit than they deserve. You would have better luck sending your packages via carrier pigeon if you prefer them actually arriving at your destination let alone arriving on time, which would be a completely different feat if this place could accomplish that. This combined with the great customer service offered, which is only rivaled by the local public kindergarten class, makes this the ultimate postal service experience. If you enjoy being taken of advantage of, lied to, and cheated, then the corruption located in this beautiful white building is the perfect place for you!

  • Charlie Brown

This gaggle of incompetent, thieving, waste of space SOB's is a VERY good argument in favor of privatizing the mail service. To start with, my mail is always being put in neighbor's mailboxes, in spite of my address and apartment number being painted on my mailbox. I've had three packages listed as delivered even though I've never received them ( I happened to be home on one of those occasions ) So I figured I'd rent a P.O. Box to fix that. Didn't help. I've filled out the form to get my mail forwarded to the box and changed my address where I could to send mail directly to my PO Box, and still no luck. I got called an hour ago from my insurance company asking me to update my contact info. This is the third different entity that's done this

  • Kim Hall

This place has the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my entire life. You pay for a position box and u don't get mail for a month at a time. Then when u call or go by there they have no explanation on why this is happening other that I'm not sure what's going on. If u have the means to go else where please do so because this place will bring u out of character quickly trust me. I spoke to a young lady and asked to speak to a manger and shr said the manager told her to tell me she was on the phone come back later. That manager name is Ms hill. I've called customer service for the postal service and nothing is being done my next move is gonna be going to the news this is ridiculous. Do better we pay your salary!!!!!!!!!

  • Thomas Johnson

I mailed a package for general delivery to this post office, which included all of my son's Christmas presents. It is confirmed to be delivered to this post office and mysteriously the package is missing. I have attempted on numerous occasions to talk to the supervisor at this post office and the phone rings until it hangs up. Customer service was no help, as they say the package should be there or be returned. It has been over a month. I am certain the postal employee who received this package must have enjoyed its contents (gift cards, cash, clothes, food, etc). I will NEVER use the USPS again! If they would do the right thing and answer questions, I would've reconsidered. Most frustrating situation!

  • Rachel Palumbo

Real cute to put the phone number for the entire USPS postal service instead of the direct line to the S Carrolton location. It took me three phone calls to get the number to the location, and then the phone rings and rings and rings. I'm beyond annoyed and just want to make sure my package is at the post office waiting for pickup and not deliever to the wrong address. When I return from vacation tomorrow I will be marching down to talk to their management. This is no way to run a buissness. Where is your customer service? Oh and after the phone rings for about 3-5 minutes it just hangs up on you with no option to leave a message. Nice job USPS you never cease to amaze me.

This Post Office Needs To Be Investigated By The UNITED STATES POST OFFICE / OFFICE OF INSPECTOR GENERAL. Insured Packages Which Had Been Scan As Delivered Some How Can Not Be Found. The Customer Service Claimed Package Could Had Been Placed In Another Postal Mail Box In Error By Employee. This Is Incompetence Unbound. Claim In Defense Of Lost Or Stolen Mail Pieces That Thousands Pieces Of Mail That Are Handled Can Be Lost. So What The Postal Employee Is Saying That The Chance Of Mail Delivery Is A Luck Of The Draw For The Customer. The Lot Should All Re-Evaluated For Further Employment. The Postal Customers Should Be Aware Of The Incompetence That Affects This Station.

I purchased a money order on the 8th of July. Turns out I didn't need the money order and tried to return it on July 16, 2016. The manager who refuse to tell me his name a young black guy caramel complexion with dreads in his head refuse to cash my money order because he said it was fake. When I told him I could show him my card statement on my phone. He behaved very nasty with me. He told me he didn't care what I could show him that my money order was fake and he would not cash it. He is very unprofessional and unpleasant. I went to the post office in Elmwood and they cash my money order with no problem. That piece of crap manager needs to be terminated.

  • Christina Booth

I had an appointment at 12:15pm today for passport services. Their website claims passport service hours are 8am-1pm monday-friday. When I arrived the woman at the window told me their “passport lady” was not in until 12:30 and that I would have to leave my name and number and I would receive a call shortly after their passport staff arrived. I tried calling the location at about 1:30 because I had never heard back and I couldn’t wait all day, but they did not pick up. I never received a call and had to book a passport appointment with another location. The impression this left me with is that the workers here are very inconsiderate of people’s time.

  • Heather Grimm

I imagine this is the worst Post Office in the entire country. The personnel are absolutely horrendous. You are an inconvenience to them and they make sure you know it. I don't have a single good thing to say. I have witnessed one employee screaming, literally violent yelling, at a young woman when she asked a couple of simple questions. Bless her heart, I was embarrassed FOR her. My husband and I both looked at each other and vowed never to return. Their shelves are rarely stocked with shipping supplies and if you ask more than one question, you may get your head ripped off. Hands down, worst service i've ever encountered. Avoid at all costs!

  • Annette

I went to the USPS on 3400 S. Carrollton in New Orleans, LA on 5/27/2020. about 9:15 am The postal person behind the counter was more interested in his cell phone phone than waiting on me. When I ask if he could out a fragile sticker on the box I as mailing He said" why didn't' you do it" in a very rude manner. When ask him where the tracking number wa on the recept he did not answer he made several swipes with his pen on the receipt and handed it to me with no conversation. His attitude was cavalier and he mumbled rather than speak clearly and he was very rude.

  • Scott Collins

I would give it negative starts if I could.... I dropped off a package into the indoor drop slot and it never got entered into the system, It just disappeared. I went in to the location on the second day, the guy working the counter laughed at me and said that it was my fault. that I probably didn't put the postage on it. After looking at the other reviews I see a trend here. PLEASE DO NOT TRUST YOUR MAIL TO THESE PEOPLE. Now im out $150 I have to refund to the customer and I cannot even file a claim because it never got scanned in. THEVES if you ask me.

  • Shannon Burton

This is my neighborhood branch, and while I've had delayed and lost packages, I had a good experience today. I went in, without an appointment, hoping to submit passport renewal paperwork. I didn't realize you had to make an appointment and expected to be turned away when I saw the signs. Instead, the staff member up front called someone from the back, and both were friendly and helped me get everything done. I didn't know it - but you can even have your picture taken there (with an appointment). Maybe I got lucky, but if so, I'm glad I did.

  • James Rosnack

I work from home and am unable to do business and trust the USPS can properly manage my mail. In all the years I've lived in the 70118, 9 out of 10 certified letters NEVER MAKE IT TO MY HOUSE! Half the time they are even recorded as being successfully delivered. My USPS online account will show I have 8 items to be delived today, yet I will still go 3 days with no mail. Is this the 3rd world or something? The Fed needs to let UPS and FedEx handle day to day mail because our post office has no clue what it is doing.

  • Marie-Christine Wright

This branch has consistently lost, misplaced, and mishandled packages. They either are too lazy or too incompetent to forward my mail correctly. The manager Kelly called me in August with serious attitude, treating me like I was stupid for not knowing they mark all forwarded mail as undeliverable (suuuure they do). That package was mailed August 12, and was delivered mid-October when the state supervisor sent someone to get it in person, because the branch failed on all accounts.

  • Alyse Hanssen

Are they the most consistent when it comes to delivery? Not really. But honestly they all good people that work over there, and it's worth it to be cool and polite with them. The only thing that really bothers me is they will do crazy scans on packages like 'animal interference' or 'receptacle blocked' on stuff that they might not get to that day. If you can't get to it and are really busy, that's fine. But I want to know tracking is accurate in order to be ready for my packages.

  • Michelle Wills

I ordered items a month ago and when it was time for it to be delivered it never arrived , so I went to track the items an it stated they’re already delivered!!! I was furious I was told the items would arrive today well they didn’t!!! But the incredibly nice mail lady name Shavone was so helpful and went above and beyond to locate my package that will be delivered on tomorrow because of Shavone!!! Thank You Again Shavone I hope this review reaches management!!!! Michelle Wills

  • Libio Reyes

this location is the worst. can't ever get a call in, they don't deliver on time, they don't update status all the time, or they make up excuses on why they didn't deliver, and for a package they failed to deliver had to wait over a week because they couldn't find my package and i had to driver over there to pick it up and needed to bug them and keep telling them they had my stuff before they would even look. i really hate having to use them.

  • lynnette suarez

In the past I’ve had so many issues with this post office, lots of customer service issues but today Monique made up for that ! I was waiting for a package and the app said it was delivered and picked up by me 2 weeks ago ! Well I called and got Monique and she was so lovely and went out of her way to find my package and had a driver drop it at my house ! I’m really thankful to her and hope they get more staff like her .

  • Brian Strollo

Possibly the worst customer service I've ever experienced. First off, they don't answer the phone, ever. I've called at least 10 times and never had my call be answered. They lost my certified letter and I have returned there 4 times and they pretend to look for it each time. They have told me each time that they will call me that day. They have never called me. They are all incompetent. Avoid this place at all costs.

  • Lydia McCray

Why the continuing complaints about this station? When is it going to get fixed? Do these people like these well paying jobs? Last of a long list of complaints - went on line, to arrange package pickup. NO ONE CAME AT REGULAR DELIVERY. Had to call station and, fortunately, counter person arranged for some one to come and get the package. If you follow the directions given, why must you make EXTRA steps??

  • Andy Ngo

Absolutely terrible service. If I could give them a zero, I would. Representatives on the phone are always rude. They're always in a rush to get you off the phone. I'm constantly passed around between employees. This branch still can't seem to get their act together with delivering mail. I don't get consistent mail and I've lost packages in the past. I tell people who mail stuff to me to not use USPS.

  • Tayla Grieff

Terrible service. Had my brother send me birthday money and package came up torn, additional inside package was also torn. Birthday card opened with NO money. Just the card. They said since it was "cash" or "check" there's nothing they can do about it since there's no proof it was sent. Long story short, this is a federal mail service with street level employees breaking federal laws, DO NOT use USPS.

  • Camille Seyler Brookman

Y'all, it's a post office. They aren't good at phone service, it's not going to be perfect, and sometimes your package won't arrive when you want it to. Considering all that, this is a PHENOMENAL post office. The people are lovely, they play awesome music, they're very helpful when I'm not sure the best way to package/ship something. Just go in person, and enjoy the music. It'll be fine.

  • Desiree McSwain

I received great service today from Kyanna at this post office for the application of my passport. She was quick and knowledgeable and friendly. I did make a reservation online but I went early around 9am and did not have to wait. The only feedback I have to make it clear where to sign up for and wait for people applying for passports. That was unclear but Kyanna was quick to assist.

  • Sophie Gallo

This place is great if you're in the mood for some verbal abuse and having your day ruined. Sat around for 30 minutes only to be yelled at once it was my turn for my "apPERNTment". I can't believe these people are able to keep their jobs, the passport lady was absolutely fowl. She couldn't have been more rude if she spat on me. A horrible miserable place that I will never go back to

  • Karla Gutierrez

This is the worst USPS store, staff is so rude specifically 2 older guys that are always there. The lines are always long and there usually only one window open. There are many brilliant people looking for jobs, willing to go work hard be nice, courteous and provide excepcional customer service . USPS should re-evaluate these employees, customers deserve to be treated with respect.

  • Mary Regalado

We are from California and could not get a timely appointment for our first passports. We decided to make an appointment while here in New Orleans for our vacation. We perpared our applications and made appointment. We were early to our appointment and Kim took us in right away. She was friendly and patient and made the process painless and quick. Outstanding service!!!

  • Lisa Zumpe

I am on Napoleon Ave My service is horrendous I receive my neighbors mail and vice versa, there are only two residents at this location. The mail is never separated, packages are just thrown onto my bushes instead of using the stairs to my porch. Anyone walking by can just help themselves to them. Management does not seem to care either, just like the carriers. It is a damn shame

  • Sam D

I have been trying for days to get in contact with someone at this post office to ensure a package I sent was properly redirected. The phone rings for 5 minutes and then ends with no voicemail. This is the most egregiously incompetent business I have ever come across and reading over the other reviews here just convince me all the more that whoever is in charge should be fired.

  • Timothy Kelley

Nothing but terrible experiences with this branch in 70118. Carrier frequently does not try to deliver my parcels and fraudulently updates the tracking status with completely false information, latest was "front door inaccessible" which is ridiculous. Carrier never knocks on door or rings bell but frequently updates status as not home. No one at the branch answers the phone.

  • Christie B

Over the past 3 months this post office has “lost” 3 packages. I presently am awaiting delivery of a pkg that has been in NO for 5 days. USPS tracking sw tells me it has been riding around in a delivery truck and now appears to have disappeared. Later: finally located pkg with help from carrier! Appreciate his help. Good people work for the P.O. but the system is broken.

  • Brian Matthews

My passport application was sent back because of errors and I couldn't return to my local Post office because it was destroyed by IDA. Kim at the Carrolton branch help me redo the application, Looked it over, and overnighted my corrected application. Kim knows her stuff. She is fast, polite and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks Kim Ross for helping me.

  • Karelle Von

I've tried calling this post office everyday this week, letting the phone ring for 7-10 minutes at a time. They never answer the phone. I have a package that was never delivered from March. A replacement package was shipped in May. It's now June, still no package. I have a replacement credit card that never arrived last month. Where is my mail?

  • Zach Schwartz

Mail is constantly delivered at 8 or 9 pm. Or it is never delivered. Had multiple tracked packages where they claim they attempted to deliver and left a notice, well I have never seen a notice and I've been home when they claim they attempted to deliver. My favorite though? They claim they are "unable to deliver due to gate" - I have no gate!

The first time I used this post office, Larry told me he was a drummer in a band and wouldn’t let me take my receipt until I bobbed my head to the music he was playing on the radio. Weird… but okay. The last time I was in he whispered to me “keep your tongue sweet”. Very inappropriate. Does he say this to the male customers too?

  • Shadin Khreis

I had an interaction with female postal office worker there who has been delivering the wrong mail to my house. When it was nicely pointed to her the the mail was addressed to another house she cussed and yelled and was aggressive so I had to call the police. Today when I received my mail, it was completely destroyed.

  • Paula Collums

I only get mail once or twice a week and then it is late at night. I have had mail to be picked up in my box for 3 days and no service. 70118 is a joke I am thinking of calling action reporter because calling to complain is impossible. No wonder the USPO is loosing $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. They are the WORST

Went here to get a passport 2 weeks ago. While we had to wait a really long time for somebody to come, the agent who eventually came was very diligent as she processed my paperwork. I would've given 5 stars if it wasn't for the extremely long wait time (we waited for at least an hour).

  • Glitter Nymph

I’m in here at least once a week or more shipping things for my small business. USPS is definitely the cheapest option for what I am doing so I am grateful to have a store where the staff, more often than not, put a smile on my face and are always responsive if I ever have issues.

  • David Hutzel

They don't even bother to answer the phone here. It just goes straight to voi... Wait they have no voicemail. They deliver to the wrong address constantly and treat packages with No regard for contents. Low bar, but this is the worst post office I've experienced.

  • Tommy Turquoise

Forget about getting your mail or packages if your zip code is 70118. They don't care and the only thing they are quick about is letting you know they don't care. This place should be scraped off in scorched earth fashion and started over with all new employees.

  • Courtney Steele

Visited today to mail 5 packages. Supplies were in great shape and the folks working were able to quickly manage the slight line. Very happy with the service. Large plastic screens have been put up to protect both worker and customer. Support your local branch!

  • Karl Holzenthal

Absolute worst! Always inconsistent some days mail doesn’t even come. Forget about packages you’ll get an email saying delivery attempted when your sitting home waiting for it. If your paying for Amazon prime like me we’re probably wasting our money!

  • Jajah

You can never get a real person to answer the phone. Our mail man which is a lady just stopped putting mail in our box all together. She claims her supervisor told her to do so if our dog which is on a chain is out but or dog nor the other

  • Dylan Moore

My mail is constantly lost or stolen. Never delivered on time. Packages never show up after tracking says delivered at door. There is without a doubt some serious problems with this location. They need to fix this before a lawsuit is opened

  • Nytashia Bunley

REALLY WISH I MY MAIL DIDN'T HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE POST OFFICE. THEY GET PAID TOO MUCH TO BE SO LAZY. MY PACKAGE IS LATE BEING DELIVERED AGAIN BECAUSE SOMEONE DON'T WANT TO DO THEIR JOB PROPERLY. TWO DAYS IN A ROW THEY LIED AND MARKED MY

  • Leslie Palacios

Didn’t open on time. Had an appointment for passports for 8am and they didn’t open till 8:15. It’s 8:45 and I’m still waiting. There’s only one person at the register and she’s the only passport agent, apparently. The line is long due to

  • Alex Jones

Checks get stolen in mail and forged/cashed, passport office requests you get there 10 mins early for first AM appointment and then makes you wait 30 mins and only 80% of your sent mail actually shows up. Other than that they are great!

  • Ophelia Li

Very rude staff. Sent a USPS priority mail and was delayed for a week. When I asked the staff what happened, they simply told me they had no idea why it was delayed. Also, don't expect someone will answer the phone at this location.

  • Melissa H.

This post office consistently loses packages. It doesn't matter if its a street address or post office box at that location. I reported them to the Inspector General and I am switching to UPS mailbox, which has better hours anyway.

  • Cam B.H

Open time posted as 8am. It's 8:10am with a line of patrons waiting to be serviced. All we hear is laughter from employees in back. Shameful and a disgrace. If you are scheduled to open at 8am, please make every effort to do such.

  • Eden Saltzman

I had a great passport experience. However, I just went to purchase postcard stamps, waited in line for half an hour, and they had none. It's not like there are any other options, but attempt to avoid this post office if you can.

  • Real Sebastien

Very kind lady. She had glasses and a smile. Helped us renew passport very fast n professional.. I recommend this Carrollton and palm st in new Orleans is ya need fast . 5star for her running the office. Thabk youpassport

  • Michael Imperiale

Worst post office ever. Lost my package and they don’t have any idea what’s going on. Absolutely pathetic. Also get ready to wait 1-3 hours when you go in. If anyone should be fired it should be the clowns that work here.

  • Ed Fonseca

This is the worst USPS office I've ever seen. We sometimes go weeks without mail being delivered, even after I receive Informed Delivery updates that the mail is on the way. Sometimes we don't even get packages at all!

  • A J

I was in there this week...I hate that the new MANAGER made the employees turn off the music. It seemed to make everyone happy. They are putting in a tv. I don't need a tv in my post office, I NEED THE MUSIC BACK!

  • Luc Soleau

I wish there was a zero star rating. I am seating in the waiting room to a renew my son’s passport. It is 9:20 am, it is supposed to open at 9:00 am and there is nobody there and it closes at 11:30 am...

  • janice Long

I find the employees very amicable on my visits, whether for stamps, package pick-up or drop off. Possibly you were having a bad day when you had an unpleasant experience. Better luck next time.

  • Sierra

Bria helped me apply for my passport. She was awesome and very sweet! She remained calm and respectful even though customers were getting frustrated with the lack of workers. Thanks again, hun!

  • Eliana Lanis

I went for my first time passport baby, they took a picture, Kiyanna was very helpful, she knows very well the products, she gave us the option for the passport go faster. Very kind and polite.

  • Jamie Wine

One of the staff is so helpful it makes up for being in a Post Office. He speeds the line, jokes with customers and keeps his peers moving. Definitely a marked improvement over the last year..

  • Eric Luk

don't go to this post office. try mailing a 1.5 oz letter here. their "scale" says it weighs 2.5 oz. major scam going on here. go to the usps @loyola downtown. don't bother with this rip off.

  • Taylor Prange

I haven’t been here recently, but last year would go a few times a week. This is my personal experience - I never had a single issue and the employees were always so helpful and kind.

  • Chauntaclair Norris Capps

New Orleans has the worst postal services in the entire United States this place constantly loses mail and packages whether it's delivered to their PO Boxes or your address

  • VeSean Bogan

Wasted my time coming here. Had an appointment to get my passport. Showed up and they're not doing any passports. I coulda chose another location or not miss work.

  • Alana McGee

Jonniece is the best! She was so patient and polite. I can’t imagine this place functioning without her. Make that woman a supervisor already!

  • elizabeth pereira

Karen helped with our child’s passport renewal and she was punctual, professional and kind. Thank you for your service.

  • Sanh Sands

I have send a package 3 days priority but it’s night mare
