When I got here to pick up something, the pick up window is closed. Then I asked someone if anyone is available to help me with pick up, and the lady at the postal store told me to knock. I knocked and no one responded, then I asked again and she told me to wait. Then another lady behind the counter saw me waiting and told me that no one is available right now and told me to line up!!!!! If I know I need to line up, I would not waste my time to knock and wait like an idiot while everyone is watching!
This is my delivery station and I have never in my life had as many problems with my mail. My regular carrier is great, but I don't know what the hell is happening at the station. Constant delivery problems when she is out and she is not always given my mail, such as is my current problem with attempting to receive a redelivery. I requested a redelivery online, received a confirmation email....2 days later I still haven't gotten my package. I'm currently on a 30-40 minute hold with USPS. I'm so frustrated with them!
Although conveniently located on 18th Street in the heart of the Castro, this is a small post office with limited Saturday hours. There is a passport center that never seems to be manned and PO boxes onsite. The lines can get long, especially on Saturdays, and service is on the slowish side. Fortunately, there is an automated service center where you can weigh and send packages and purchase postage stamps.
Good place to mail something. If your package is already labeled, you can simply drop it off on the counter where it says "drop-off." If you're here for a passport appointment or something else that requires human assistance, you might wait for a few minutes depending on how busy it is. Packing supplies, greeting cards, and a small assortment of gift cards are sold here.
For an urban post office, while it’s often quite busy, the waiting time for service is remarkably short and the willingness of the staff to help with postings remains quite generous. Post offices aren’t the most highly funded of semi-government institutions, and I think it’s impressive how well they operate with comparatively little appreciation.
It will make little difference because it’s a government agency. But, you shouldn’t be in a hurry if you cine here. The last three times I’ve tried, they’ve had one person serving and a line. It is not efficient. It’s a great example of how government agencies are the last resort.
Fairly average USPS. Line is usually long and only 2 employees helping customers. It does have one automated machine. Parking is usually easy in front or within a block.
The staff is friendly and helpful. I've never had to wait more than 10-15mins in line even though I always come during the most crowded time right before closing.
Not that it matters cuz it's never going to change but 36 minutes in the lobby waiting and they're only two people in front of me.
My Sister had to send important papers over-nite and the papers are still sitting at the Airport. WOW. This is our postal service.
It's a post office. The lines can be long, but just try to go on off hours and you'll be fine. Staff is generally pretty nice.
They kind of close early and difficult to go and get stuff. The lines are often long. The workers are generally nice though.
Pretty reasonable service for a busy post office. Print your labels at home to avoid longer lines during rush hours. :)
I have a PO box here and the staff is always really friendly. The line can get long at times but that is just life.
Meh... They wouldn't accept my ebay mail claiming that because the envelopes don't bend they can't take them.
Came here to pay for & deliver a letter going domestic. Staff was really friendly. It cost $1.44.
love the service and the customer service is very nice. The line was short when I went in.
haven’t had any issues here, they are a bit slow on employees but has nice attitude.
Always super helpful and friendly service. Everyone is nice, but Valerie is amazing!
The one I go to in the Castro is always very clean and the staff very helpful
Employees were fast and friendly. Was in and out in under 5 minutes.
Never nerve open on time staff is slow and unfriendly
Super pleasant, but painfully under-staffed.
