Okay so I go there to pick up some mail that the postal carrier took back because my mail box got to full while on vacation. I walk up to the counter after getting a head motion indicating to come over not a "Next" or a eye contact with a can i help you just a head motion and a facial expression like come on dumb ass like as if i was an imposition or inconvenience to her . So i tell her why Im there and hand her my drivers licence and she goes in the back returning a while later telling me there is no mail. She said its possible that the postal carrier may have realized or got information that it was am active box and brought the mail back. No such luck so instead of going back down there and potentially walk out Empty handed again , i tried calling "SEVERAL TIMES "!!! Never once having my call answered not even an eternal please hold as you listen to musac . So my opinion is this after watching the conduct of the three people working the counter, one seemed like you were wasting her time and spoke to who ever she was working with at the time like they were a complete idiot. The 2nd postal worker seemed like he was a complete idiot in resolving matters like tracking a package, but did seem knowledgeable when it came to up selling postal services. And my gal postal worker number three , she seemed like she did not want to be there, and perhaps that is the problem their none of them seemed to have a desire to be there or had a desire to assist their customers. Maybe. If the postal service was to cross train all their employees and rotate them to different job duties every quarter they would not be burnt out doing the same thing day in day out and actually be happier at the task they are given to carry out. Just saying. Oh and answere the damn phone for Christ sake! No since in paying for phone service when you dont use it! Pick up the phone!!!

For years now we have had packages returned to sender because for some unknown reason the mailman says our house address is undeliverable or the incorrect address. It does not happen every time, but when it does it is quite a huge inconvenience and then more expense to have the package re-shipped to us all over again. It seems to happen much more with packages than it does with letters and bills. It has become less and less reliable with each passing year. We have complained to them about it, but they obviously don't care enough to do anything about it. So, we adapted to the situation. Whenever we buy anything online, even if we have to pay more for shipping, we choose any other shipping service: Amazon delivery, UPS, FedEx, OnTrac, etc. Anyone other than the US Postal Service for the delivery of packages. It might cost more, but at least we do get our packages delivered to our front door. With all other mail, we try to do everything possible online. We get our bills and statements online and not through the mail. We pay our bills online and not through the mail. We email rather than write letters whenever possible. We do everything we possibly can to not use the US Postal Service. And we cringe every time we know something has been shipped to us through the mail because there was no other way offered to ship it to us, because who knows if it will actually get to us. And after that we try to find a different seller who uses some other shipping service, anything other than the US Postal Service. These people are putting themselves out of business. We are so finished with them and will never go back to them as willing customers. When the holidays come and we ship gifts to relatives in other parts of the country, we use UPS. It's sad that what was once such a convenient and reliable service has become to worthless to us.

I had a package sent to an old address and went through the steps to have it intercepted (which was a pain since your card had to have the same address as the one you had sent it to which can be a problem if you have moved and changed your addresses on everything) and had it sent to another location. I did not read that you had to pick it up in a certain amount of time so because of that it got sent to this location. I went in person and the woman who helped me did her best to look but discovered that the package could not be found and had no idea why. Her theory is someone for some reason (even though they never should according to her) took the package to deliver it. She gave me a number to call and said to ask for a manger. I did so the following business day and it took about 45 minutes of being on hold to get an answer from another employee who said it could not be found even though the tracking information said it should be there. She told me that it probably was marked "unclaimed" and sent back to sender. It was not. So all in all they lost my package for a reason no one can explain. And it seems to me based on what the employees relayed to me that if it was lost it was because someone did their job incorrectly. I will probably never know why but it is frustrating and im glad that the original seller was kind enough to understand the fault of the post office and send me a new package. That does not happen for everyone. STOP LOOSING PACKAGES. And whoever decided to take my package when it's not supposed be taken, stop doing that too. The workers i dealt with were pleasant and I understand it was out of their control and they did their best. But management needs to get things together.

Updated 1/13/15... Yesterday was the final straw. I left my yellow, handwritten card at home to pick up 4 packages. I have the key to my box. I have ID. Nope--the clerk REFUSED to give me my packages because I didn't have the yellow card. THESE PEOPLE ARE HORRIBLE!! I've decided to pay whatever it takes at the UPS Store to never have to go back to this place again (and it's 2 minutes from my house.) 1. With the exception of one clerk, the grumpiest clerks I've ever dealt with 2. ALWAYS understaffed--if you go there, plan on spending at least 45 min to an hour in line 3. They've removed all the self-service vending machines because they were "too expensive" to maintain (so, if you need stamps, refer to item #2) 4. They've reduced their operating hours three times, now--if you can't be there before 4:30p, during the week, you're out of luck 5. The PO box area closes at 5pm, and get out of the way of the clerks because the only time they move fast is to lock the doors at exactly 430p for the service area and then at 5 for the boxes. 6. Did I mention the clerks are grumpy? Mean? Sarcastic? Rude? They get that from their manager. 7. Did I mention you'll spend hours in line waiting? If this place weren't a half block from my house, I'd never go there.

Our regular mail man is great… but, the older gentleman who delivers to my apartment is well…lazy. If there’s cardboard in a bigger envelope that’s probably something you don’t want to jam into a small mailbox. But, this post man didn’t care. I had important documents I went out of my way to try and protect from something like this and now instead I am still left with creases in all of my papers. Common sense must not be so common? On top of this, he marked he delivered a package but when I went to check it wasn’t there. Which I figured because I knew the box would be too big to fit. But still, the tracking said “delivered/in or at mailbox”. I called the post office and they told me he actually marked it as unsafe place to leave package and they told me I had to pick it up next day. Well next day comes around and our regular post office guy shows up to give it to me and he says he found it in the mail or truck. He did his job, unlike the other guy who just doesn’t care about his quality of work I guess. Take two seconds out of your day to think of how your actions are going to effect others.

I was a city carrier assistant at this location. This has been the worst job I have ever had. I understand all the customer complaints it makes sense!!! When you walk back behind that counter there is no organization, just mail going in all different directions. Supervisors yelling at employees and treating them like they are criminals. My first day they put me out by myself (i did not know anything about the area of town) with a truck full of mail, gave me a map no gps and said good luck. How is that for training? smh Do you think mail got delivered to the right place that day? The start of my shift I would always see upset customers, there is no customer service!!! If you think about working here or doing business here stay away!!! They don't care about the safety of their employees or their customers. A manager named Hakeem wanted me to speed in traffic just to get done on time then told me he was going to fire me for not doing it and said that he did not care if I told the union!!! I am so glad that I dont have to rely on this place as a means of employment.

I had paid a one year renewal for my P.O. Box and Put the check in the sealed envelope that they provided in Plenty of time prior to the due date. Then one day I went to get my mail and the box was locked. I went to the clerk and questioned and they told me that I hadn't Paid. I showed my check register to them and stated repeatedly that I had paid and put the check in the Large Blue Box. Well, long story short, I had to pay , AGAIN for the box plus a penalty of $29.00 and went to the bank and put a stop payment on the check which cost me an extra $35.00. And then a couple of days ago, they put the Original check that was in Their Envelope in my box. I was Furious to say the least!!! Of course they wouldn't refund my penalty even though I had paid it the first time and then, Low and Behold they FINALLY found the check. A Bunch of Incompetent Morons that work for the Post Office!!!!!!

Our so-called mail carrier has not delivered mail to our address in over three weeks, under the excuse of "animal interference", regardless of the issue having been both addressed with a supervisor and complied with, as verified by same supervisor. This same "mail carrier" is continuing to skip our mailbox on a daily basis, which denies three families their mail service. Do mail carriers have more power than their supervisors, or is this branch office atEast Thomas and 32nd St. Just a very poorly supervised office? I would really like an answer to this problem, and from reading other comments and reviews of this very same office, there are a lot of other United States Postal Service customers with very similar complaints/questions about this branch who are deserving of answers or responses. A postal customer named Irish

This place is extremely unprofessional and had gone to the dogs. It has been almost a month and 2 packages of my K-cups are still in "transit"; while, 1 package was returned to sender/vendor in which I confirmed 2 times I had down the correct address. The USPS manager took my number and said she will research them then will call me but she never bothered to call. The next few days, when I did make it before 4:30pm, they told me to get in the long line with the other customers. The mail/packages line ceased to exist. No thank you! I left the place! Like I said this fiasco has been going on for almost a month and I have yet to see my purchase (from L.A. to Phoenix). They need to shut this place down and start hiring or training competent people. The Pony Express delivers from L.A. to Phoenix is faster than this!!!

  • Hoagie Hogan

Someone really needs to look into the management team at this post office and also the relationships between management and the carriers. And relationships between carriers and carriers very unprofessional.I found a bunch of Obscene text messages and pictures on my spouse phone by dozen of these carriers And these people knew my spouse was married. What kind of person sends this kind of stuff to a married man?? that shows you the integrity of these women. Must be nice to get paid for not doing the job you are paid for. Also a mail carrier name Shane had the nerve to call my minor daughter the B word while he was working. Very inappropriate mail carriers at this location!!

  • Christaline Zwina El Bey

I hate this post office and the liars that work there. I am still waiting for a registered letter that was supposed to be delivered on 06/02/2015 today is 06/11/2015 and is still says in-transit. This is the worst service that I have seen from any Post Office in any state that I have lived in and that is a lot. BTW the phone either rings off the hook or they take it off the hook, either way you never talk to anyone unless you wait on hold for several hours for the customer service line to answer. I have been holding for an hour so far today, last time it was an hour and 45 minutes. I cannot wait to move out of this damn neighborhood and back to Tempe.

  • Jamie Wagner

They never answer their phone. They stopped delivering my mail for 2 weeks and claimed that they thought I moved and I have lived in my apartment for 2.5 years. They lost my $250 jacket I ordered, new debit card, a couple checks and my birthday presents. They just shrugged their shoulders and didn't care. I got no reimbursements. Update: I got thought to an actual manager almost 2 weeks later. He said that out of hundreds of dollars lost in the packages I was supposed to receive I could only get a $50 in reimbursement. None of the packages had showed up to my family's home, but if they do then my family or I would have to re-pay to have them shipped.

An african American lady with glasses Teresa was very rude. I was the 3rd person in line and needed to pick up my device for medical treatment. She told me it was somewhere in the back and wouldn't be sorted out until tomorrow? I showed her that is was there I called usps and while on hold i got a message that the mailman left with my package. She tried to blame not looking for my package because there was to many people in line. Not true there were too many people when i returned to show her the mailman left. When i asked for his route she didnt know it? Rude i didn't read her name tag shes African American works in front she said her name is Teresa

  • Wayne Evans

For six years I have lived at 5008 E Thomas Road. For two years the service was great, and then our mail lady was sent somewhere else. Since then service has been chaotic. The mail never comes at the same time, and we have a new mail delivery person every week. When I receive packages, notices are not put in my box two thirds of the time. The outgoing mail is not picked up over half the time. This is ridiculous. Anywhere else, a person would be fired for such crappy performance. Today I called to complain, and no one even answered the phone. What the hell is the matter with our service--I should say lack of service?

  • KillingIsBadong

I often get mail that is not for me (I have lived at my current address for 2 years) and on several occasions I have been tracking a package and get an update that a delivery attempt was made while I was sitting a few feet from my door (no attempt was made). The update usually also says a notice was left, but no notice is left. The staff that work at the office itself are fine enough which is the only thing keeping this review from being 1 star. They either need to hire better drivers or start keeping them more accountable, because I've had issues since I moved to the area and it seems to stem from the drivers.

  • TGreenMan 1

I had mail held from 12-19. I've walked there 2 days in a row knowing I had an important check coming from pua unemployment. After today they told it wasn't there. So I decided to walk to old address over 3 miles away right after to meet with carrier. He said he had dropped off a day earlier. Which means lady either didn't look or barely looked at all. I could be on street in 2 days with out this check. They don't seem to care about anyone's well being during a time more important then any time in history. This is not good business and horrible compassion for those struggling to survive through it.

  • CMAR RAMC

By far the laziest and unprofessional postmen in the valley. Today, Saturday 11/9 I physically watched the delivery driver skip over half of the Arcadia neighborhood! The guy just simply didn't want to do his job. We are signed up for the informed daily digest, we were expecting mail today that was never received because of unfit / incapable postman. It's a good thing I have surveillance on my house. He just drove through the neighborhood without delivering any mail. 4:30pm. From 44th st & Montecito south got skipped! That's our hard earned tax paying dollars at work! I

  • Griffon

What is the point of signing a package release slip or applying a digital signature if you are just going to keep the package and make me come pick it up anyways. We had been home for both delivery attempts and neither of us have heard of knock at the door. Lazy, unprofessional and extremely frustrating. "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds. Except for when I have to get out of my truck to deliver a package. That is absolutely out of the question."

  • Chad Hayashi

Very hit or miss service. Sometimes the staff is friendly and helpful (as much as can be expected) and other times they are the least helpful people imaginable. More often than not, it's the latter. I've had mixed results so it really just depends on the day. I don't go expecting much, but I've had times where seemingly simple questions are not or cannot be explained to me, for whatever reason. If you have to come here, come during off-peak hours and you may get lucky as they won't be as busy, thus more willing and able to help.

  • Mr Write

I called this location 5 times this morning. The first two times they let it ring, realizing I wouldn't stop they then picked up and hung up the phone. The next two calls they must have left the phone off the hook because it was just busy signals. I had a package that required signature on the way. Not only did it never arrive even after tracking indicated delivery. Someone signed for it, but I live ALONE. This experience makes me think it was stolen by the driver and shady business is done here

  • Thomas Barnes

Impossible to get someone on the phone for this location. I don't understand why it's so hard to just answer the phone and answer quick questions regarding my package that I am unable to check online for. You'd think they would put more focus on this given Covid and safety but it's worse than ever. Even after going into the location it took forever because they have multiple employees working but it seems like only 1 helps customers... find another location if you need something shipped.

  • DaSmokeDaddy

Several times I have received a notice via the on-line tracking service that my package was 'Unable to deliver item, problem with address.' I have NEVER received a pink notice saying that the package tried to be delivered. When I go down to the Post Office they tell me that package has been sent back to the seller, who is overseas. Then when they physically check in the back the package is there! Plus the address is correct on the package. What the heck is going on with this branch?

  • Mikayla Krahn

I haven't had many issues with this post office or the drivers at this location. The most is just waiting in line and that's to be expected. I am surprised that there are usually about 2 people at the counter helping customers when it's super busy, if we're lucky then there's 3. It goes pretty quick with 3 people so long as you don't have 3 customer's that take a long time at the same time. Overall this post office is great! Much better than the one I used my live by.

  • Haley Wichmann

I moved here in September. Over the course of moving I changed my address and this post office is holding my mail since my address doesn’t have mailboxes. Tracy has been the only nice one. The other two men I’ve had to work with are pretty rude and don’t understand that I’m picking my mail up. TODAY I stopped by to pick up my mail and I finally got a letter that I’ve been waiting for since October…. Now I’m missing a package. It’s actually ridiculous.

  • Tiledo9877

I had a packaged delivered Jan 22nd that was placed in a larger parcel but no key was left in my mailbox my, I have visited the post office directly in front of my apartments over 4+ times asking for help. I get the same run around “we will take your information and get back to you” it’s been coming up to 3 weeks. NO CALL, NO FOLLOWUP, NO ANSWERS. There phone number never connects as well. If I could give zero stars I would.

  • Anna Wright

Cannot get through by phone. Must go in person to ask why in last 8 days, one card mailed at the post office inside the building, and one from our mailbox did not get delivered. Both had checks in them so stop payment fees are around $90 for three checks. Yesterday (09JUL13) no mail delivery! But their phone is always off the hook. This is the result of having over-compensated employees. They feel they are too rich to work!

  • Tom Sliwa

Generally helpful, but long wait times. Delivery service out of this site to the two zip codes they serve is not reliable, caught the carrier trying to give my neighbor my packages right after he left mail in my box. Did not redeliver after having an inch of irrigation water on the driveway- what happened to working in all weather conditions! Attitude is very poor. Postal inspector needs to investigate this facility!

  • cthomasv AZ

I called this location because our mailboxes were damaged and needed to be replaced. Someone picked up the phone immediately and was able answer all my questions and was very helpful. I've never had an issue with the Arcadia location in the 20 years I've lived in my neighborhood. However, there are rare times I will need to go into the location and the long lines and wait times are taxing.

  • Shane Leichty

OK – it’s the USPS post office so you can’t really expect superior service. Every time I go staff is helpful and friendly and the line moves at a decent pace. You can typically expect wait at least 5 -10 minutes, pending anybody mailing 50 pieces at a time. I typically come in for stamps in to drop off packages which is not that much of a hassle. Parking spots are also typically open.

  • Sujey Villalpando

Worst customer service ever!! Two packages that I sent my brother are being held at the USPS being mark “No number” address. Customer will not help and just continue to repeat that packages are getting sent back to sender. I’ve looked at my work orders and address are correct. They won’t allow my brother to pick up his gifts. If you don’t like working for USPS, get a different job!!’

  • Sean D.

I really don't like this location. They never deliver packages to my address and they don't even leave a notice. Then I have to wait 2 additional days to even go down and pick up my package. Then I have to argue with the people working there about how I need to show them the notice slip when I didn't even get one. I wish there was a way to never get my packages shipped by USPS.

  • Sid the Tech

DHL xfered to this location, Tracking said I got a notification on my door. Nothing. Went to location to see if there. Nothing. Guy gave me supervisor number and was gonna try and contact the driver. Tracking says notification was left on a whole different zip code address. Meanwhile I wait in limbo because they don't want to leave a $5 item in my mailbox? Hope this ends well.

  • Jesus

Every single time I come here for any purpose, it's a nightmare experience. Rude, unwelcoming, staff does is completely inconsiderate. They basically treat you like a moron if you don't know what you want right away. I've had my package lost. And this location doesn't believe in answering phone calls. Good luck. Located in most busy, BAD side of town on top of all that.

  • G C

Postal workers make no attempt to deliver packages. No one answers the phone in the office. Impossible to get any service at this location for delivery issues unless you drive there. Update: Another package not delivered. They are scanning packages that have not been delivered. Someone needs to investigate why this carrier/postal location is not delivering the packages.

  • Donovan Mueller

Every time I've dealt with them, either at location or over the phone, they'e been very helpful and friendly. A friend recently sent us a package from overseas and forgot to but the address number in front of the street name. We saw in the tracking that the package was gonna be sent back. I gave them a call and they found it no problem had it delivered the same day.

  • Elizabeth Sierra

A package of mine wasnt delivered due to the sender not adding my apartment number. So I called this post office & spoke to a woman who said, "Call back at 5:30 because the manager will be here." So I call back at 5:30 to find out you guys close at 4:00! How incredibly rude! & tomorrow is Sunday so now, I don't know what's gonna happen with my package

  • Vicki Vesey

So disappointed in mail delivery! We have been in our new offices since mid April and we are still getting our mail returned to sender as undeliverable. Really? Mail delivery is the easiest job in the world...it doesn't take a highly educated person to deliver the mail properly, does it? Common on...raise your standards and start doing a better job.

  • Michele Newcomb

I've never had a bad experience. Employees helpful, friendly and do the best they can. The main problem I see is you do not have enough employees to cover the volume of customers that are standing in line. The employees you have are doing the best they can with what they have. You need more employees. Maybe the post office would get better ratings.

  • Yaksh Patel

They did not forward my mail to the new address, when i opened a case, it was closed saying that they already contacted me. When i reopened the case, they added to the notes that they recovered the mail and forwarded to the correct address. its been over a month and have not received anything yet. I have called them over 50 times, and no response.

  • Aaron Perna

Informed delivery showed a package was delivered in my mailbox but it wasn't. I filed a missing mail report and this post office responded immediately. They found the package and delivered it within 24 hours and even provided me a follow up phone call to let me know it was found and delivered. Very satisfied with the response. They really care.

  • Sarah Schultz

The apartments my family and I live in currently are remodeling, even mailboxes. We have had our new boxes for a couple weeks. Our landlord has been calling them everyday for all the residents mail keys, and they still don't have them. Plus when you go in it takes eons to even get serviced. Awful post office. Not my first problem with them.

  • Robbie S

The post office workers used to be friendly and helpful. That was not my experience in trying to mail a priority package today. a grey haired woman working behind the counter , with a very worn out name tag, named Vicki, was completely rude and entirely unhelpful. Based on other reviews I can see why this branch has 2 star rating out of 5!

  • Marisa Fernandez

Lobby hours are not accurate on windows. Employees are mostly friendly but very few available at counters when long lines are waiting, scanning prepaid packages is not done most of the time which makes tracking numbers useless. Dropoff boxes are too small. Prepaid package dropoff windows not same. 2 packages stolen from us so far.

  • Jimmy Lee Boggs

I recently had two issues that needed to be resolved and the Post Office personnel and management went above and beyond to find solutions. I actually received small town action to assist me. I feel that this Post Office is really trying to provide the best customer experience possible. Thank you for your help.

  • JESSICA B

Complaints are useless at this facility. The carriers form this post office do not deliver anything oversized or heavy to your door even if they have the code and signature release form. You don't even receive a notice slip, because they fake the delivery attempt if they see the package is oversized or heavy.

  • Shane Kellam

It's so easy to complain and sometimes it's good to do so. This way actions can be done to help improve things. I just wanted to take this opportunity to give praise to my mail carrier. It's not the hardest job but certainly not the easiest but he loves his job and it shows.

  • Laura Leigh Birdwell

I stopped by on a Saturday to mail a letter; I put it in one of the outgoing mailboxes whose last pickup is 5pm on Saturday. It was a Halloween card for my nephews with a Halloween treasure map inside - it's been over a week now and they still haven't received the card.

  • Zoester TheToester

Only 3 people in line. There were 3 visible employees but still waited over 15 minutes. Only to be more disappointed by the pricing I was mailing a package of 20 plastic cups with lids to. Chicago. The cheapest rate was $26.00 for 5 day ground transportation. No way!

  • Aida M Mondragon Juarez

DO NOT GET MONEY ORDERS here! The system don't work, decline the transaction and took the money of my account "pending", now I have to wait to make a claim with my bank, and I need the money right now, I ask to speak with the manager and he don't even care about.

ABSOLUTELY the worst post office I have ever been in. There must have been 30 people in line yesterday with one clerk. Was there almost an hour before I was able to send my package. I got to the counter and told them they owe me money for the wait.

I moved to my address in June. Since then my family have tried time and time again to send me a letter and every time it has been sent back labeled undeliverable. I have made sure the address is correct. I have had other packages sent to my

They should just shut down! The way in which the post office operates business should be embarrassing to those running it. Such a terrible business! I order from Amazon alot and time and time again my packages get "lost"! There is either a

0 stars. Every single visit is a pain in the neck at this post office. The employees are as unhelpful as possible. They have zero drive, zero awareness. They work there and they don't know that much. There have been a few bright spots but

Thank you very much for screwing my bank balance and costing me an extra $450 for nothing . You guys took away my wife's green card saying it was deliverable and above that you also decided to keep it at your place rather than sending it

I haven't been able to call them due to time restrictions but I did have mail that showed up there on a monday, reasonable that I don't get it that exact day or even the day after. That being said it is unreasonable that after two whole

This is a terrible post office. Forging documents for delivery of certified mail, when it was left in the mailbox and not signed for. My door notice from the day before was ripped up in my face. Was almost given someone else’s certified

Why does the government post office closing at 4PM on a Thursday? I walked in with other customers and the security alarm went off and the inside door was locked, lights shut off. I mean this is absurd… no note or anything!

  • Godric Rea Granillo

Literally no one answers the phone, the mail man has stopped delivering my mail and I’m not able to go to the location in person. Talk about being under funded. That or them just no caring enough to answer the phone.

  • Steven Paluch

With these closing times, how is anyone that works supposed to send a package. Add a package slot! Edit: This place has really issues, not delivering packages, not leaving a slip, 2 people working during December?!

Called the post office and it rang for 4 minutes so I hung up and tried again and the next 3 attempts disconnect after 1 minute of ringing. Very poor customer service. Don’t recommend this post office at all.

Mailman said package too heavy which it’s not and so I went to the office and they said they will deliver but it’s been a week and no delivery. Defund USPS already.

  • Paul van Berkel

We haven't seen our mailman for 2 days. As a business owner, this is disturbing. Nice slow decline in service over the years.
