Just had a terrible experience in this store. Previous to today I have bought expensive jeans etc at the store with children in tow with no problems. There are at this point in time absolutely NO signs anywhere that state you can't take anyone into the change room with you! We made sure of that as we were leaving. I was with my 12yr old daughter while changing and was told through the door 'It's only one person per change room' and the girl stood outside the door waiting. Previous to this she had been acting like she was on ectasy and being very obnoxious and unprofessional in the store. Upon changing back out of the dress I was about to purchase and making our way out of the store, we were snickered at by the two female staff, must have been due to searching for signs - which do not exist. Have never had a problem taking my daughter into a change room before and they are a decent size, there is no excuse for this. Won't be returning.

most INSANE experience at universal the other day. My friend and I are browsing for a party outfit when out of the blue a sales assistant came up to us as asked "what's the goss?" which caught us both off guard. My friend then explained that we were looking for a party outfit but I am picky with what I wear. He then proceeded to say EXACT QUOTE "have you thought about sucking it up?" which made me feel really uncomfortable but I just laughed it off Then he called over another sales assistant to help me, I said I was happy to browse by myself. But she was pretty insistent, I told her that the attire was smart casual but I don't really wear dresses. She then proceeds to show me a dress, completely ignoring what I said. Then I say again I am happy browsing and promptly left the store. The whole interaction made me feel awful.

I visited Southland universal store today , I had a beautiful young girl who took her time to help me pick an outfit for clubbing , I don’t knew her name but she was such a great help and I appreciated it heaps!! it’s people like her who I have so much respect for and they definitely know how to make customers feel welcomed!! Thank you guys heaps for your patience and compliments towards a dress u brought xx I’ll be back

Came in to just browse for a wedding guest dress, wasn’t expecting as much help as my partner and I received let alone to actually find something to wear. Shoutout to Lucas Maria and Olivia. I don’t usually write reviews but I feel like it should be said as they’re all such friendly people and extremely helpful, and giving feedback on the items I tried on :) it’s giving good customer service

I came in today to buy a gift for someone and did not expect to receive the friendly service that I did. As someone who is visibly plus-sized, I often don't get acknowledged at these types of stores but a lovely girl with long blonde hair was really friendly, bubbly and inviting - unfortunately, I didn't catch her name but she made me feel very welcome.

Customer service by Sheri was incredible. We found perfect jortz for my boyfriend and a really nice black shirt which Sheri helped us kindly with. She made us feel so welcomed and comfortable without being pushy at all. Lucas was also very helpful without being pushy - awesome customer service and I left feeling really looked after.

I was talking to a worker on live chat called hazel and she was really nice if you get to talk to her you are really lucky. she was able to help me with developing a new and improved style of clothing for myself. she was also able to provide me with gorgeous colours to suit my skin tone. loved her amazing work :)

Very nice store, the staff were very helpful and kind. They went above and beyond to help me and my friend out with finding outfits. The clothing is very nice and store was tidy and we'll set up. I definitely will be going back to the universal store. Clothing is reasonable price and very good quality.

Another store I normally only shop Online at. However Sophie was so lovely and helpful, she was very genuine and made my day. I don’t get a lot of adult interaction. Great suggestions from her also.. I will definitely be back

It has everything you are looking for. The best style of clothes from men and women, hats, caps, accessories and surprisingly cocktail/mocktail mixers. I would definitely recommend shopping at this store.

The staff at the Chadstone store are so helpful and super friendly. Absolutely love shopping at this store. Love the clothes and the fit is always good. Highly recommend.
