Horrifically designed station in every way possible. I don't know how one could design a more inconvenient station for transit passengers. Super deep station; requires taking 4 separate banks of escalators to get to the platform which are more often than not broken thereby preventing passengers from getting to the platform. The station has even had to shut down at times because one couldn't get to the platform due to all the escalators and elevators being broken with no backup stairs until they literally had to retrofit this failed station design a few years after opening by converting the emergency-use stairs into regular-use stairs (which are still of little use). Gimmicky dated aesthetic design is most successful part of the station and the terrible station location requires allowing at least 8 minutes to transfer between the platform and all the buses including needing to cross two wide busy streets at-grade, only to then see your connecting bus/train departing before you make it. This station should be filled in with dirt and relocated somewhere that would better serve UW and transit riders.
I came in quite early in the morning. The station was not crowded at the time, but rains ran on time (~ every 10 mins). The station is clean, safe, and neat. I have time to walk around and visit a lot of UW attractions like UW Medicine, UW Husky Stadium, other shopping locations around. It was a great experience
28nov2021 ~11:00 light drizzle .. arrived at UW Washington station to sightsee the local attractions, including UW Medical Center, Husky stadium .. The Train was not crowded, clean and efficient. Similarly, there wasn't many people around the stadium. Lovely and fun walk …
Light rail station is clean and tidy. It has a special 3 Min passengers drop off parking zone. It is easy to access. Evaluators are available. It is good to get ride to airport even you have lots of luggages. Of course, it will be fanscitic if it is a speed bullet train
Slooooow, Japan has had bullet trains for years. We are crawling along to the airport
More escalator breakdowns. Screens fail to show time to wait until next train.
Trains leave up to 5 mins earlier than posted in the morning.
