One of the main transit centers of the city from where buses and trains go everywhere of the city. 3 stars instead of 5 because - 1. Always atleast one of the escalators is not in service due to maintenance issue. 2. Departure board in the outside waiting area is out of service for long time. It's mandatory for all students to purchase the pass but the city takes forever to fix the departure board. 3. Cannabis is legal now. So, this transit center is a favourite place for druggies. I have no idea what ualberta protective service does.
Although not hugely innovative or modern. It's one of the major transit hubs to a lot of the city. Bus riders would love to live in this area. There is a covered, clean, heated waiting area outside but it has no doors so winter kinda sucks but in winter you can wait in the lrt entrance and still see all your busses. There is a bathroom in the mall which is connected to the lrt area. (The mall, not the bathroom) lots of seating in summer.
For a bus stop it is heated, and adjacent to hub mall which provides food, bathrooms, etc. You can buy transfers if you go into the lrt area down the first set of stairs. There are automated machines there.
There is a nice covered area, a large volume of buses especially during school months, and integrated access to the university LRT station.
I live along Whyte, so there's a bus that gets me home every few minutes. Equipped with shelters and a digital schedule.
One of the bus stops at the University of Alberta Canada …
