University of Washington is the oldest university in the west coast. It is famous for Computer science department, which is sponsored by Microsoft and Amazon a lot. The entire campus has a plenty of buildings built by Bill Gates and Mary Gates. Its mascot now is the dub, which is a husky. It is hard to get a photo with him. They even charge you during the game. The most famous part of the campus is the fountain, red square and the quad. The fountain is on rainier vista, where you can see the Mountain rainier if it’s sunny and clear. And the red square is the main square in front of Suzzallo library (the most famous library for its Harry Potter like scene). As for the quad, it is really popular during the spring season when the cherry blossoms are blooming. It is a nice place for picnicking and having a short walk between lectures.
I have lived in Seattle area for 45 years. And never had the opportunity to visit the University of Washington Quad area, during "Cherry Blossom"Time . From Mid March till Mid April. Had to go to the area today, for a medical appointment. Had lunch at noon at nearby great little gyros Greek food place on the "Ave" then after appointment, walked over UW to see the Beautiful, Pink Cherry Blossom trees. They were breathe taking!, I wish I had visited this splendid annual display of total Spring, in years past. But glad I had the time, opportunity and ability to finally make it there today. So many there taking pictures, or just sitting on blankets on the ground and enjoying meals or snacks with friend, family, or loved ones.
What an amazing experience to enjoy the beauty of nature at the Cherry and Magnolia Blossoms at the University of Washington, Seattle this Saturday. Perfect weather- beautiful sun, blue skies and brisk spring chill in the air. Year after year these trees put up an awesome show of nature. Fragrant blooms and ever changing colors and patterns of nature. Pretty much every nationality could be heard in the linguistic chatter. Good or bad, it was hard not to distracted from admiring the amazing show of nature due to constant chatter, selfies and dramatic poses people prefer. If you are willing to discard lower 6' zone then one can really appreciate the colors, the blooms, contrasting tree branches against beautiful blue skies.
The University of Washington is one of the best Universities around. I did not attend the school but have gone there to listen to lectures on how to become a Physician Assistant (PA). I also attended the Washington Motorcycle Safety Training on the campus parking lot. The university is huge and beautiful! The university has a nice stadium on the southeast corner of the campus. In addition, the Liberal Arts Quadrangle, better known as the Quad, is my favorite place to visit at the University. There are beautiful tall buildings there surrounding Cherry Blossoms trees. What else? Peaceful, beautiful scenery of the students walking. I love the University of Washington.
Went there to see cherry blossom. It’s a beautiful place with old campus building. They provide public parking, but there is a parking area closed to the cherry blossom place that is free for public after 4pm. You basically turn left after you enter the gate, where the sign for public ask you to turn right. Seattle is known for a gloomy and rainy city, so when it’s sunny, you will be expecting crowds. But it is worth, esp if you are visiting or just move to Washington. You can also pack your snacks and do picnic in the park, some people do yoga and lot of people bring their dogs. Best time to visit end of March-mid-April. Good luck on cherry blossom hunt!
What can I say about this beautiful and fantastic university? Perfect You have to walk across the campus to see how beautiful, green, ancient, and engaging the uni campus offers students, faculty, and staff. There are many attractive places to visit on the campus, depending on how far you want to go and what you want to see. I enjoyed my time here when walking across the campus and seeing all the school activities and students chatting. My critical advice here is to take your time to enjoy the campus’s beauty under the sunshine of summer
Top tier education in Computer & Social Sciences, with a beautiful campus that has the footprint of a large town, UW is a landmark to visit. People flock by the thousands to view the cherry blossoms around April. There are tours available, so look on the site to find a guide if you're not comfortable with exploring on your own. Check out the Drumheller Fountain, Red Square, By George, & of course, the Quad with the cherry blossoms. Go Dawgs! Midas 5-stars - for the beautiful landmarks.
Love and kindness abounds at todays UW and Oregon game today. The Huskies scored more points, which allowed them to walk away with a win. I don’t think you could’ve done it any other way, but I could be wrong. Way to go Huskies. You have spread much joy to the fans, students, alumni and the nation, overall! Your love for the community will be felt for decades to come. You set the example for the rest of us. Keep doing what you’re doing!
Uw campus is one of the beautiful campus in USA. It always fascinates me that they have structured it in the way that you can have view of the mount Rainier from the red square. Suzzalo library is the main attraction of red square. One should must visit it if they are exploring the area, and it is open for the public for some specific timings. UW is best university in the northwest area. I am a proud husky for being here.
A top 25 school in the U.S. I conducted a tour of the campus yesterday and got to see what the campus was like. Red Square to the Husky Stadium, this school has everything a student would every need to excel. There are many services for students; from job placement to 3D printing area. I have attached a few photos. There’s no way to include everything this school has to offer so check it out sometime.
I've just started my academic journey here at UW and so far I have been so happy with my decision. The campus is simply gorgeous and everyone is super nice. Very excited to embark on my journey. Update after 4 months: The first quarter is over. I'm still loving it to be here. All the teaching and administration staff are super helpful and unbelievably supportive. Thank you UW for everything
Nice place to visit (if you're not a student, of course) when in Seattle. UW facilities are amongst the most beautiful universities I have ever been. They have a few concerts, museums and expositions diary. It's always a good ideia to reach the visitors center to get more information about the events. I strongly suggest a visit to the central library to check some of their awesome architecture.
What a stunning, sophisticated campus. When I visited this university, I had a sudden urge to transfer here as an university. I love the design of the ancient buildings and the fountain and lovely herds of geese (although they were a lot of bird poops lol). I would like to visit here again when it is cherry blossom season!
UW is a hugely diverse school, highly tolerant of and extremely open to differences. The best aspect to the University of Washington is the opportunities and wide variety of academic studies it offers. ... Students at UW have big dreams and hopes and are smart individuals that will one day be incredibly successful.
Lovely campus noted for its cherry blossoms blooming this time of year. There are many architecturally interesting buildings. Fantastic gardens and plantings with lots of walking paths. And you can see Mt. Rainier if the mountain is out. It always soothes me to find UW's oasis of calm in the middle of Seattle.
I never went to school here, but I worked for the University Hospital that this school is affiliated. This an awesome location and a place worth to visit if you are in the Seattle Area. Great architecture of their school buildings. So mesmerizing and a cool place to do a little bit of walking.
I studied in UW when I was a university student for summer exchange programs. UW is huge, so it takes some time to walk around. Some facilities were newly built and my dormitory was gone... Even though, I enjoyed walking in the campus and introducing memorable places to my mother.
If you want to see the Cherry blossom. This is the place. It's so fairytale types. You can get pictures there too. Pet friendly place too. Parking for visitors of Cherry Blossom should be on E1. I visited on a weekend. Parking was pretty decent.
Nice modern building inside, partially air conditioned, but some areas are dark when you walk in or down a hall way or into a bathroom BUT great views from upper floors of Husky Stadium, 520 bridge, Puget Sound n Mount Rainer in the distance
The University boasts an impressive (and large) campus. The buildings are well maintained, and the campus is very clean and pleasant. There are many communal areas, and plenty of different study spaces. Overall great learning environment.
I love their campus. It’s confusing at first like any other campus but I found where I needed to go easily. You need to pay for parking :( or you will get a ticket. Burke Museum is awesome! We were invited to the House of Intellectual so
Amazing campus. The buildings are like ancient castles in the middle era of Europe. The natural environment is also awesome, you can see squirrels and rabbits everywhere. And the most amazing view should be Mt.Ranier vista. Love it.
Wow! Such a pretty campus. I’m only commenting on the appearance of the location and not the education or university itself. Someone keeps stealing the tobacco plant, so stop it! I thought it was nice that a sign was put up for it.
Love this place. April is the time to go for cherry blossoms but it will be crowded. Pro tip, park in kane hall after 12 on the weekend and it's free. It's a great way if you need to go to the campus and get lunch on the ave.
University of Washington was very beautiful. People go to UW at End week of March and starting week of April to click the photos of cherry blossom. There was car parking ticket which need to be paid through PayByPhone.
During this period spending time at UW was cool & nice! Classes not happening which made my business there very pleasant and casual! Both visits Graduates were noticed. Congratulations to all Graduates 2020 …
Best University in Washington state . Very beautiful buildings. Light rail access from Airport to University of Washington Cherry blossom during April (Spring) is a must visit attraction.
Amazing place! Atmosphere looks like movie about Harry Potter or something. A lot of blossoms, old buildings, and perfect views. You can have a good time with friends or family (with dog) here. Recommend.
Absolutely no idea how I wandered into a school that I don’t even go to, but this place was beautiful. I’m really jealous of all the people that get to attend this school. It feels like Hogwarts.
I visited campus for a Phi Beta Sigma conference. A coyote ran up on me . I love the architecture and forestry throughout campus. And the view of Mount Rainer above the pond is spectacular. …
This is the time of year to inspire Grandchildren to attend UW The campus is stunning When your 13 year old says, “I could go to school here” Makes the car ride and parking well worth it
Love this campus ... parking is relatively affordable compared to the city of Seattle. And the campus continues to work on making buildings more accessible for people using wheelchairs.
very beautiful campus! This is almost like a historical town that fuses with modern architect. It was a pity that the library was closed. will come back just for that next time!
A very beautiful campus that provides wonderful education experience. A proud husky will recommend you to visit all year round, especially when the iconic campus cherry blooms.
It’s my first time visiting Udub. The campus is pretty, and the paths are well organized. The location is nice. You can take subway here and walk for a couple mins.
The UW Campus is beautiful. One of the most beautiful I have ever seen. But it's the mission, the diversity and purpose of the University that is most attractive.
University of Washington is reputable for its classical campus and outstanding performance in scientific research. It's quite a worth visiting spot in Seattle.
The botanical gardens and natural area (UBNA) is a great place to walk in the early morning for sunrise and evening at sunset. So many varieties of birds!
What an amazing university and campus! This is a top national and international school that offers an immense variety of courses and degree options.
The top of the University in the world. There are so many classic buildings and stories. Go for a walk and take a picture of the campus, so nice.
It's been on my bucket list for so long, and i finally got to see these trees in bloom! It was definitely worth the wait... so beautiful …
Beautiful, well-kept campus. The cherry blossoms are spectacular. There is a lot of interesting architecture. We enjoyed the museum as well.
Beautiful campus and rigorous academics. I did not attend university here. Incredibly competitive and difficult to get into.
Such a breathtaking view inside the University where students can really relax and find inspiration to pursue education.
Gorgeous university. Cherry blossoms is the best season to go here. Regularly, great place for picnics and studying.
Must see place at this time when the Cherry blossoms are in full bloom. A bit crowded so make sure you stay safe.
Beautiful university. Well known for its computer science major. It's ranked no 6th for computer science in USA
Amazing campus with picturesque views throughout. The cherry blossom quad is definitely a sight to see.
I am staying in Seattle as a visitor. UW campus is very beautiful. I use to go there to see the nature.
We go there every year to experience the Cherry Blossom! So serene and so beautiful! Love them ❤️ …
I went there just for the cherry blossom and it was beautiful…!!! Trees are in full bloom as of today!
I wish , how I wish I could study here when I was young One of the most scenic campus in the world
Such a beautiful campus in a beautiful city. The time I spent there was amazing. I love UW!
