When we were greeted at the door, the host wasn't wearing a mask and didn't get even bother to do any of the covid regulation checks. Also it seems that guests are allowed to enter the premises without the need of a mask as we saw a couple just walk in and greet the host as if we wearing living in 2019. Myself and my guests felt very rushed to do our tasting because of load shedding, which we were being reminded of constantly. Overall we all agreed to never go back, because of the unwelcoming atmosphere and lack of care when it comes to the pandemic

URBAN WINES is a gorgeous wine shop and Bistro with a massive range of the finest wines, spirits, liquors & craft beers! Food quality is superb . My favorites are the Truffle burger served with crispy sweet potato chips. BEST burger ever and the Truffle pizza! Out of this world divine. The owner, Lisa, is warm, friendly and welcoming welcoming welcoming. It's like a second home. 6 STARS

Consider this. A wine shop with staff who do not know what wine they sell. I asked if they stocked a certain brand, only to be told, "All of our wines are on those shelves over there". Wine then rung up and showed it was discounted. The waitress said the discount was no longer applicable. Perhaps should fix the prices then so they are not misleading? And hire knowledgeable staff.

Very very cosy and upmarket wine bar. The atmosphere is fun with an older crowd of people. The wine selection was awesome. They have a wine tasting every Wednesday and Friday from 4.00 till 7.00. The kitchen is then open for a platter selection. The choices could be more diverse but what was presented was really good. Thanks for a gun, different evening.

Beautiful place, I'm Italian and seemed to be home. we went for the weekly tastig R50 for 3/4 wines. In the Facebok page she posts the wines of the weekly tasting. The owner was nice, she presented us the wines and talked to us, very welcoming. The service was good. The Tapas plate of Camembert and onions was very well done, delicious, fresh cooked.

What a find! Have driven past the signage 1000 times thinking it is a wine retailer. It is and so much more. Had a tasty breakfast, great coffee, lovely atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff. In a town with many restaurants, add this to your must visit list.

The selection of wines, spirits and beers is phenomenal. This place is a piece of paradise if you are looking for those special drinks. They also have an incredible menu for breakfast and lunch. The food is delicious. I always have the breakfast which is served in a pan....forgot the name but always good. Naturally great coffee.

What a lovely atmosphere. The staff so friendly and accommodating. There was such a great selection of good wines and some craft beers. I enjoyed the creative menu which delivered fantastic food from the kitchen. I will definately be returning on my next trip to Cape Town.

Absolute gem in Durbanville! Great variety of local and international beers, wine, whiskeys and gins. I'll rate this as one of my favourite places in the Northern Suburbs. A definite must visit! They also have a food menu during the day, and have wine tastings on Fridays

Just called Urban wines about more information with regards to their tastings, and the lady I spoke to was extremely rude and disrespectful. Had no professional way of speaking and basically couldn't wait to put the phone down. Very disappointed in their service.

Hands down the best omelette I have ever tasted. Brilliant stuff. I will be coming back for more. Update: Was there again recently. The food quality and staff friendliness remains top notch. The omelette recipe still remains the best I have ever tasted.

Really good space, environment and atmosphere, prices are very high for what it is and they'll even charge you a corkage for the wine you buy from them, would hate to see another good idea in durbanville close down due to greed.

Such a quaint cool little wine/platter boutique. The chef (Bernice) went out of her way to accommodate us and to make us comfortable and gave us so much attention and a great wine recommendation. Such a cool spot :)

Good selection of wines. Social atmosphere. Regular wine tastings with the occasional Gin tasting thrown in. Can enjoy a cheese platter and snacks with your favourite wine. Can get a bit crowded though.

Great selection of wines. Please note you do pay corkage if you drink it there but even then its a great spot. The steak is also a winner. Prices are very decent even if you are just buying.
