It was ok but I would say they the accessibility dept is a bit unorganized. My mom went there in December on the 12th or so for a assessment to be determine if she qualified for short or long term services by their doctor they had hired. Well either before or after the assessment, a female employee took my mother picture but never gave her no ID. Now after her assessment, the female employee told my mother she would hear back from them in 2 weeks or less. Well with the holidays interrupting, she never received her approval letter that they supposedly sent out on the 18th of Dec. So lastweek, I called to see what was the hold up, a hispanic lady inform me that she was approved for 3 years max of services and if she still wanted to continue services to let them know around her anniversary of approval. But TODAY, a African American employee told my mother that she may have to pay $3 for a new ID. So I told her put me on speaker. Because they was looking to see if any mail was return back and it wasn't. So the African American employee mention about possibly fraud. There has not been no fraud, but rather taking photos BEFORE being APPROVED, they needs to take the PHOTOS AFTER instead even if its means a 2 week wait on approval. My mom was approved but the previous employee took her photo to SOON before she was approved and coming here today would have caused her to pay $3 for something she did not do on her end or received. So being organized would be nice. But luckily, she did not have to pay no $3 and got her ID free, but they said when she get her new ID to destroy well hell if we did not get her approval letter from Dec 18th what makes them think we gon get her ID. Its just gon be floating until then w/the post office cause their no telling if they still behind on delivering packages.

I had the worst experience in my life. Hopefully I will never have to go back their ever again. I am elderly & disabled, and all they did their, was laughed and made fun of me and gave me the hardest time they could. I accidentally left my cell phone on the 28 bus. My friend helped me tract it back to the VIA bus station. Like I said I'm elderly & disable, my memory is not as good as it used to be not to mentioned that I've lost about 10 cell phones & 2 tablets in the past 6 months. That's alot of passwords to remember. They would not give me my cell phone without me giving the my password. I could not remember it! Even though I'm the one who said they had my phone, I'm the one who described it to them. I'm the one who stood in front of them and called my phone. All they had to do was answer my friggin phone & they would of seen , and would of saw who the owner was. Instead they wanted to disrespect & laugh & make fun of me, an elderly & disabled person. I'm talking about the lady in their lost -n- found and their security person. He laughed right in front of my face and said," you mean to tell me that you don't remember your security pin ( and laughed at me)?". I said yes, that's right. But if yall would just look at my phone that I have in my hand, yall will see google has the number to the phone yall have in ur lost in found, that y'all won't give back to me, google has it registered to me. They wouldn't even do that. They stood there & had me stand there for 2 hours just so they could laugh, make fun, and disrespect the elderly & disabled. It was the most horrifying, embarrassing, demoralizing, disrespecting experience in my life.

There is no indoor waiting area like every other transit stations when I called and asked why I was told that the buildings are for rent and that was the reason no one was allowed in there. For ABSOLUTELY NO REASON. Especially when we have used them before and even that experience waa terrible. My fiance was overheating because she is pregnant and we were riding the trolley around downtown and decided that the Centro plaza would be a good point to take a break, and use the bathroom. It was obviously the worst decision we made that day to think that we could utilize facilities that we paid for by purchasing full fares for the entire day. Thanks VIA you really let me down. I take pride in the fact I am a regular commuter and I am treated this way and given a bs excuse so I dont blow this out of proportion. I am extremely perturbed by the unmitigated gall you display to the lower class and impoverished commuters of San Antonio, Texas.

Disappointed… My mom often rides the bus home from work when myself or others are unable to make it on time or leave work to pick her up (since she stopped driving). She is now “low-vision” and considered legally blind. Today at 5:45pm she was denied a ride after she realized, for the first time, she forgot her face mask at work (she’s always big about wearing it). I mention the time bc after the time change the sun has already set and is getting dark outside meaning it is extra dark for her. She was left stranded when she’s vaccinated and forgot her mask by mistake. Please have some masks to provide people in these situations. I get spending money on them but huge packs make them cost a few pennies each and you would still get paid for that ride that was denied.

DO NOT WORK HERE! They lied to my face in the interview saying I wouldn't have to shave my beard or cut my hair, they do not let you drive enough to actually get a good feel for the bus, they fail you on things that isn't dps certified and only pass who they want to. I will be reporting them to dps for improper testing. This company does not care about its employees, they do not give you a lunch break, have you work 12 hour days just to come back 6 hours later because they don't Account for your travel time to and from your home or eating and taking a shower. This is the most vile company I've ever got hired to in my entire life and they should get their funding pulled immediately.

I had misplaced my phone in a bus on the way to Ingram Mall. Attempted to chase it down with a find device app, it stayed ahead of us and finally lost signal. Next day it was back on and showed it was at the. VIA Center. Closed when I arrived, went out again the next day, went up to service counter. The ladies working behind the counter were very professional and asked all the right questions, they indeed had my phone under lick and key. How awesome! Asked for my security info to unlock phone, answered correctly along with my State ID, once all info verified, my phone was returned to me. Thank you whomever turned it in, even though you kept it the day of. Phone was locked!

  • Estephan Morales

Unprofessional staff. They don't answer the phone and refuse to give you their supervisors name, even though you can get that info easily. HR department only looks at your flaws rather than your qualifications. Qualifications like already having a CDL A. Qualifications like already having driving experience with no violations or accidents. Plus being a military veteran. I have a feeling this organization has too many issues and I choose not to work for you either. Funny how Dallas, Denver and other cities find me more than qualified. And yes I will go work for them...if I choose. STAY AWAY from these people. Please....

When I entered via main entrance I asked the security guard and he did not respond with words but only pointed where I should go. I asked do I go through the double doors and all he kept doing was pointing in the direction of either double doors or the windows I finally just walked up to the window and asked the young man there he directed me where to go. This is the first impression one gets when entering and I would think unless he cannot speak he should use words and be polite and at least put a smile on his face.

Paid for a day pass, which is a contract and I was told(pretty rudely) that I needed to get off the bus at Madla which was the end of the line. Driver said it was policy that no one could ride from downtown on the same bus back downtown. It was so that no one could ride all day, yet I asked where does that say on the all day pass. I rode the next bus, which the driver had his wife on who got on at Travis park rode down to Madla and then rode back to Travis park. So, the policy is really "do as I say, not as I do"

I really don't know where to start with VIA but I'll say this via bus service and drivers suck just like this city of San Antonio on Oct 5th I ask a bus driver who was on the route of 552 ne loop 410 I asked him do you pass by the Maya apartment he did not know what I was talking about he told me to ask the via rep to found out I had to wait 9 minutes for another 552 and I ask another bus driver he told me they don't go by address I can say more but via suck, suck, suck

  • Priscilla Russell

Being differently abled is a not always easy. However, I am grateful for the Via Metro Center because I have a reliable way to travel around San Antonio Texas. They really make a difference for people like me who can not drive. One thing to know is, the little via trans vehicles are sub tracted to help with the overflow of clients needing transportation. I personally don't like the new tap and go cards. That's the only new method of payment I don't like.

  • Heather Cupps

Great customer service and Covid 19 protocols great area on San Pedro Avenue across the street from San Antonio College and Bill Miller's!! Great for families, mental and physically disabled individual discount of bus pass monthly only $19 a month, full day fares cards, seven day fare cards and regular fare is $1.30 and now they are trying a new service called "Go Link"only in northeast and Sandy Oaks locations for cars and SUV riding for the fares above.

  • Antonia Adderly

Tried to catch my bus #28 going towards Southcross, and waved to the driver, but bus driver simply waved me off, and kept on driving. Had to wait 30 minutes for next bus, and it was getting cold. Drivers should still wait for approaching passengers. Drivers do not owe the buses, Via does. I understand that drivers are on a schedule, but being a veteran passenger, I know that drivers can be late, but NEVER early when approaching next stop.

Horrible service. Have to flag down drivers when already standing in front of bus stop. The other morning on route 28 the driver didn't even stop he clearly saw me flagging him down. Speeding due to lack of professionalism. Most bus stops have non working lighting that helps drivers see the people that make via possible to pick up hopefully the CEO is not a tyrant idiot and fixes this simple mistake.

  • Jozay Motionless

Something needs to be done about the one driver driving 103 bus 658 everyday she's on this route she has an altercation with someone today it was me I take this bus everyday with no issues at least up until today shes under the impression that she's untouchable well we'll see I'm not gonna stop until she's held accountable or let go sorry not sorry

  • Erick Ramirez

I was waiting for almost an hour to ride the bus and two for them pass me by. One waved her hand to let me know there was no service and the second one said the capacity of people in the bus reached the limit and I was late at work. Why don’t they have more buses if they see there’s a big demand of people trying to get to their destinations fast

  • Zuritachi

I want to point out the best bus service in the city, as far as I can remember, taking the bus with my mother when a little kid was the best memories well spent in my life. And still taking it. Hope this bus service keep moving forward to faster and easier transportation. Just don't hold up the bus driver, we have places to go too. :D

  • Arthur

I want to know what's going on with these VIA TRANSIT SERVICE? They're getting paid $27.00 per hour and yet these bus operators are LAXS when keeping a timely schedule? Enough! Is ENOUGH! ESPECIALLY the 95 & the # 4.. customers are made waiting in the DANGEROUS SWELTERING HEAT for at least 45 minutes before a bus comes...

  • Daniel Tenorio

Damn these drivers have the strangest attitude for making the salaries they do there usually late on the hour routes 7/10 on time be acting like there 401k and pensions going to burn if they don't collect off the back some drivers lie about there route at lineup ask they answer one way and go another after you get off

  • Amy Fowler

Worst place to work. In ojt they force you to report an hour early; unpaid. During other times of training you are to report 20 minutes early; unpaid. The hours they have you work is horrible. No work/life balance. On days off you have to check your schedule. Attendance policy is antiquated. Racial discrimination.

  • Sunny Day

Bus 4 TOOK OFF AS I WAS STANDING AT DOOR on SIDEWALK 8 50 PM. MONDAY 1 ST HE SHOOK HE HEAD NO AND PULLED OFF I got MANY MANY MORE STORY'S OF UNETHICAL DISCRIMINATION TO THE TEE ..MOREONS NEED TO BE FIRED.. This was at the NORTH STAR MALL VIA Would take a photo of bus driver but it took off my camera slow God bless

  • Martin Lopez

This is the VIA headquarters. Anything you need to solve regarding VIA, It's done here. Lost and found, reduced fare cards, VIA trans cards etc. Security and information as you walk in. Clean restrooms for customers and bus service right outside. Parking for visitors is limited though. About 6 spots at the front.

  • Mikala Martinez

The employees here are rude and very short tempered. Unfortunately I have no choice but to deal with them because I have to ride the bus at the present time. However, I've been saving for a vehicle and I should be getting it soon and I will not be held at Bay any longer by these rude and short-tempered employees.

  • Jayme Hodge

I lost my phone on the bus and someone actually turned it in! Via actually got a number of a friend of mine off of my unlocked phone, called and said they had my phone. So the next day my friend called me and told me where to go to pick it up and I did. I was surprised and happy all at the same time …

  • E MG

9 out of 10 times they’re on time. Clean buses with AC/heating, the drivers are pretty good as well. VIA app works great, you need the Transit app to look at the bus routes but it works 9/10 with the live bus locations and timing. Been to multiple cities with transport and this one is by far the best one.

  • Sean Hunley

The station Foreman tend to talk to you crazy when all they have to do is pass out paperwork. You can work 7 days a week but who wants to, which is why HEB is a better choice I can make just as much money there working 4 days instead of working 6 days making the same money at VIA.

  • Brian Bruce

Had come to support a friend who had misplaced personal belongings during a bus ride the day before. Wow, even her cash was intact, accounted for and returned. The procedure and clerk were All professional A-1. Way to go City Citizens and Via Staff. Peace ✌️ Brian Bruce

  • amariah1980

I just missed an event because of the buses. The 4 was 2 minutes early but stopped 2 blocks down the street to get back on schedule, the 3 was five minutes late, the 9 never showed which caused me to catch another bus. I had to walk further and missed the event.

  • Robert Fabrey

Lost my wallet on the bus, it was turned in with everything in it. I am a veteran, 100 rated disability for ptsd (medic), I don't driver due to all the stress and idiot drivers. The bus is clean, safe and sometimes vary entertaining, best way to get down town.

  • Lithe Light

Thank you Mati! Today I had an issue with a lost item on the bus and I called VIA customer service, and a wonderful woman helped out, her name is Mati and she was so patient and I was thankful! Definitely 5 stars and God bless all of the hard workers at VIA!

  • Thomas DeLuna

VIA gets better and better. I am 10year customer. Trying to catch up to technology changes. Almost impossible. What never changes is people. Bus drivers are people and we customers forget. By and large they provide great service in professional manner.

  • richard zavala

Went in to get a bus pass for a disabled person and receptionist was rude and not helpful in answering my questions concerning the card. Her response was to go online and read the information. And the display case having the bus routes was half empty.

  • Pete Hernandez

Today November 4, 2023 at 10:52 AM. The "loud mouth and rude" Hispanic female bus driver (100 Primo "Bus ID 980" from the Mary Louise Station to Centro Plaza) was rude to me and other passengers who boarded her bus because she was late and

SA is literally the only major city in the world without a light rail. This could have been accomplished years ago, but it continued to face opposition by a tiny group of 1diots and VIA caved. Public transit in San Antonio is such a joke.

  • Galaxy WinterSage

Although I only went there to drop off some via Trans paperwork, they really have updated this place. Of course, I haven't been there in over a decade. I really love the art inside and the vibes. Staff and security were professional and

I just feel bad because the bus drivers have to deal with a lot of ghetto people rude people that don’t have money and are looking for handouts and then want to talk crazy to the bus driver that’s why they treat people the way they do

This company isn't accurate with serving buses come 15min early or don't show up at all night time is dangerous. You guys giving us false advertisement to be on time yet putting people lives at risk not being honest. This is a joke

Just want to say please stop honking your horns at bicyclists downtown. Bike riders have the same rights to the streets as do the buses please respect bicycles downtown. So please don’t honk wait and be safe Class A CDL Drivers

  • BaronessAnn Davenport

I enjoyed riding the VIA Bus routes that I did during my recent, yet short, visit to San Antonio. The drivers were friendly, and the buses were quiet, inside and out. I collected some schedules to have as souvenirs.

  • Austin G.

  • Herbert Jones Jr

This is one of the best places to work and greatest forms of public transportation. The instructors, drivers, and employees are always there to help, plus they want to ensure your experience is enjoyable.

  • J Andrade

Its the Via's main office. If you loose anything in a Via property or bus is where you to go. There you can purchase or reload your Via card. You can do your ID for reduced fare. Customer service is good.

  • John DeVilbiss

ViaBus city service has deteriorated. With the excuse of the not-so-new virus the City can get away with anything almost: 1) Constant loud messaging while passengers are onboard, as if we were deaf or

The service that via offers to our city is at a 3rd world country level. It's unreliable, outdated. Our tax dollars should be use to create a completely new transportation system.

  • Heather Cupps

Great customer service and Covid 19 protocols very helpful if your mentally or physically disabled God bless the gals and guys at VIA Metropolitan Center.

  • Chuck

Via drivers are sooo bad these days! They cater to the homeless and don't even charge them! Paying to sit next to someone who doesn't pay...NOT COOL!

  • Kat T

Went at 11 am on a Wednesday and it wasn't too long of a wait. Just had to renew a via card and it only took about half an hour for whole process

  • Richard Yeager

I can't get any help from them waste of time . Very unprofessional employees treated very rudely. No Supervision for any kind of resolution.

  • Jonas Clark

They won't get you anywhere on time. Make sure to bring something to do during the HOUR-LONG waits for the next bus across half of the city.

  • RAY PEREZ

Came over to get a photo taken for Dads ID ,but the camera had technical problems again, so we will be back next week, simply interesting

  • Arthur Doepke

It's ok, does provide many services for the elderly and disabled..but can increase service on some bus routes because of this heat.
