Hidden Gem into the Havana city center We have been 2 times here and we had a lovely time. It's so cozy and nice, very interesting decorated with some lights made from old musical instruments and with a lot of things on the walls. The food is great but also what is being even great are the cocktails :) Depend of your style you can go either by evening for a quick dinner or you can stop during the mid day for a snack and a good cocktail. Please send all the best to the wonderful music band, that are performing there. They are simply lovely !!! And before to end with this review, just take some moments while are you enjoying a drink there and look over that incredible big painting inside the restaurant. It's marvelous !!!! Hace una semana que he vuelto de La Habana, ciudad cuanto menos interesante, quise comer en el Restaurante Van Van, pero lo encontramos cerrado, de la docena de "comisionistas" que hay en las calles de La Habana, uno me explico muy amablemente que llevaba varios dias cerrado porque lo estaban fulmigando, le pregunté porque, me dijo que por una plaga de cucarachas, para luego llevarme convenientemente al restaurante donde le darian su correspondiente comision, en fin, aparte de dejar en muy mal lugar a este restaurante, ese es uno de los problemas que enfrenta el turista en La Habana, los comisionistas.

My Boyfriend and me visited havana for the first time and we were more than happy that we found Van Van! you feel immediately at home and welcome! The food was amazing and the personal even better! The whole atmosphere is just outstanding, no matter if you want a romantic dinner for two or have some drinks and snacks with some friends. I can only advice everyone that visits havana to step by ! the food was by far the best that we ate in whole havana!

Aux grès de vos balades dans les ruelles de La Havane, ce restaurant atypique où règne une ambiance incroyable. Ses couleurs, ses décors aussi beaux qu’étonnants, mais surtout une nourriture merveilleusement bonne. Super accueil, des mojitos et cubalibre qui vous enchanteront . Ne pas tester ce resto lors de votre séjour à La Havane serait une grande erreur tellement ils vous laissera un super souvenir. Encore merci pour cette jolie découverte. ☀️️

Apuntamos este sitio antes de visitar la Havana. La decoración está llena de objetos, fotos y materiales de la cultura cubana. Unos cacahuetes en papelillo, obsequio de la casa para comenzar. Comenzamos con unos tostones rellenos de atún y aguacates. Continuamos con solomillo de cerdo al punto. Música en directo para amenizar la estancia. El camarero súper atento y agradable. Barato comparado con otros del barrio. Los baños en si mismo ya merecen una visita al restaurante. Muchas gracias.

Mon bar-resto préféré de La Havane. J’adore m’y installer pour écrire, y siroter un verre, profiter de la musique, échanger avec les locaux et certains touristes et prendre la mesure du quartier tout en profitant de la beauté du lieu le temps de nombreux après-midis. Tout y est exquis. Surtout le temps qu’on y passe. Soy Cubaquois ♥️!

Sehr leckeres, preiswertes Essen mit sehr guter Qualität und viel Abwechslung! (Hier gibt es auch etwas Anderes als Reis mit Bohnen.) Mittags und Abends empfiehlt es sich sehr zu reservieren. Typisch Kubanisch eingerichtet und jeden Abend Livemusik. Es ist unser absolutes lieblings Restaurant in Kuba und wir werden garantiert wider kommen.

1h30 d attente, sert entré et plat en même temps si vous n avez pas de bol, je me demande comment on lui donne une bonne note, bon bref 1er restaurant au monde où je me suis senti excuser moi du terme mais baisez jusqu'au bout :). Un conseil n y allez surtout pas et si par malheur vous y allez, mettez vite votre appréciation :).

Lugar muy curioso, pasas un rato agradable,aunque solo sea viendo el local ¡y el baño! La comida está bien,pero no pediría carne que no fuese ropa vieja: como en el resto de Habana la disecan, aunque venga con salsa. Las croquetas y la ensalada mixta muy ricas

Se tratan de esmerar en la presentación de los platos, pero pocas veces he comido una comida de tan poca calidad y sabor. La variedad es muy básica y los precios no se adecuan a lo que se ofrece. Amazing restaurant in old Havana, great price for the quality compared to other we’ve tried in the same area. The pescado Van-van was really tasty and a change from other fish dishes we tried in Cuba. The live band was a great plus. Highly recommended!

Man wird im VanVan sehr freundlich empfangen und herzlich bedient. Es mag vermessen klingen, aber es ist nicht sehr einfach, mitten in Havanna ein gutes Restaurant zu finden. Im VanVan hingegen fühlt man sich sofort wohl. Die Speisen sind sehr lecker und die Drinks erfrischend. Alles für faire Preise.

Highly recommended. The atmosphere and live music were almost enough on their own to attract us in, but on top of that the food was really tasty and on level with European restaurant standards. The staff was friendly and the Pina Coladas here were my favourites in the city. Visited three times!

A beautiful and traditional restaurant in the centre of Havana where they serve delicious local food and great mojitos! The staff is really friendly and polite,always with a smile! In the afternoons they have live band with local music too. Very good prices. We really enjoyed our visit there!

Cuba needs more restaurants like this. Food and service very good, definitely try the piña coladas. Have the address handy. None of the Cubans you ask on the street will know how to find any of the small touristy restaurants, even if they work just two blocks away in another restaurant.

Great food and relatively inexpensive for Old Havana. Interior is cosy and made to look like you are eating in the gap between two buildings, lots of local art and photography doting the walls. We visited for lunch and were very impressed with the local food and friendly service.

Muy lindo lugar, en los tres días que estuvimos en La Habana fuimos tres veces..!!, esto dice mucho de los que nos gustó. Los daikiris riquísimos, la comida, la música en vivo y la decoración y ambientación EXCELENTES.!!! Quien vaya a La Habana no debe dejar de visitarlos.

After a long day of exploring old Havana, we happened to stumble across this place. The music is what drew us to Van-Van and the drinks are what kept us here! The best mojito we had during our stay in Cuba. Will definitely go back and recommend this place to others!

Des plats très bons à déguster en écoutant un groupe jouer de la musique Cubaine en live. Les décors sont très beaux et chaque pièces reprend un thème de Cuba. Les serveurs sont sympa. Vous trouverez des tapas pour 3-4€, des plats plus consistants pour 10-12€.

Place looked nice, they had live music, but... , ordered a Havana Selection de Maestro rum, a product i like and know really well and they served a really inferior product from the bottle so they "cut" their hi price alchool with cheap product... bad...

The food and service were average. The curry tasted very bland and the beef dish was very tough. There were lots of flies in the restaurant as well. The live Cuban music was very good though. Prices were ok, but Donde Lis and Habana 61 are much better!

Super cozy and chill bar, the live groupd they had had enougg energy to liven up the entire place and the artsy style is reason enough to go inside. I only grabbed a really good coffee there, but I am definitely going again on my next trip to Havana

Ein Restaurant für Freunde der Live-Musik. Die Einrichtung ist toll, dass Essen ist gut und preislich in Ordnung. Die Musik ist ziemlich laut. Wer sich unterhalten will, ist hier falsch. Ansonsten alles gut und guter Service.

Amazing Gem, this place was a real surprise. The drinks where good and cheap and the pizza was the best pizza I have ever had! I have traveled the world and dine at the best places so that's saying something.

Absolut freundliches Personal und super gutes Essen. Für diejenigen die die Heimat vermissen gibt es auch mal Essen von zu Hause. Es wird nebenbei ein Motel betrieben mit grosszügigen schönen Zimmern.
