Busy library that's badly managed. The facility is great. It has a security guard because this part of the city has its own challenges. The parking area is not well lit and the security guard that supposed to guard the underground parking has shattered himself in his room pull down all the horizontal blinds and sleeps right through. At midday as I was passing the guy woke up and turned on the lights in his office. Not much of a security! There were people coming and going into the library with suitcase and large bags and duffel bags and hockey bags. There was a man eating a full meal at the computer terminal and somehow he was free to enjoy his soup, sandwich, large Coke and chips. I had a small container of cashew nuts and that attracted the attention of the librarian who asked me not to eat in the library and to put away food items from my table because there were mice in that place the week prior. There is an overwhelming large number of workers in this Library who are by and large doing nothing. The washroom area stinks. The floor is wet with pee in men's washroom and it stayed wet for the duration of my 2-hour visit.

【One 40~50's female staff member is negligent in her understanding.】 I went here to print. I was about to print using my own coins. The man said I don't need any more coins, you can use them! and he gave me 25 cents of the 75 cents. The female staff member angrily told me that I can’t do that and that I should come to the reception desk if I did not have the money. I thought she should have returned 25 cents to the man, but she took it away and put it in the safe in the office. I had the coins and the man only gave me the coins as a courtesy, but I was made to feel very uncomfortable by the loud and messy response. It's a shame because the rest of the staff are good people. 【ある40~50代女性スタッフが理解しようと全くしてくれませんでした。】 印刷をしようと図書館を利用しました。 自分のコインを使って印刷しようとした所、 男性が“このコインもういらないから使って良いよ！”と、75セントのうち、25セントいただきました。 女性スタッフがそれは出来ない、お金が無いなら受付まで来いと、私に怒り25セントを取り上げ、事務所の金庫にしまうからと持って行ってしまいました。 それならその25セントは男性に返すべきだと思いました。 私自身コインを持っていましたが、男性がご好意でくれただけだったので、大きな声で雑な対応をされて、説明しても理解してもらえず、とても気分が悪くなりました。 他のスタッフの皆さんはとても良い人ばかりなので非常に残念です。。

This is my favorite branch other than central library! It’s located inside the Mount Pleasant community center! I really love to study here in the quiet study room! The environment is really good! There are six big tables (but only three of them near the electric outlets). Other than the quiet study room, there are many seating areas for reading! It has a great collection of books! Moreover, this library also organizes many different events for different audiences such as baby time, family story time, philosophers’ cafe, Friday movie nights).

This isn't the biggest library but I find most of the books I need here plus there are some magazines I like to read on the weekend. It doesn't matter if it's sunny or rain I can spend an afternoon catching up on articles. I have a smartphone so don't need the computers but there is wifi which is nice.

Great place for kids as they are connected to the community center and has a large children’s library with games you can borrow. But hard to find parking! Circled around for 30min and ended up by the meter, hate to limit our time at the library as my 3 year old can stay there for 3 hours!

Good as well good for charging your devices and using your devices and accessing internet and books online and searching for resources .....as well public bathroom and such is available. Community of Mount Pleasent is strong and supportive.

Very friendly staffs and nice working area. No free parking at the library, it is expected since very close to downtown. But i parked my car for free at a community park whick is 5 mins walk to the library.

Good facility with plenty of books and a good variety. Good programs for kids and youth. Only wish they had longer hours on the weekend but otherwise we frequent the library weekly.

I go here almost hundred times. Quite, nice place to study and really close to many good cafe&restautants. Must go (only if you're looking for the place to study + focus on sth.)

It's an awesome center for the students to make up this study plans for long days in the library itself and it's very quiet and peace place for the students to study

Nice library and easy location to get to. I like that they are open till 9 and have a study room away from the general library to cut down on distraction

Great place to spend time browsing the shelves, doing work on a computer, printing something out, borrowing a magazine or a DVD or CD.

The Story Time is very poor. Poor choice of books for children and not presented well at all. Librarian picks on the children.

The mount pleasant library is awsome they serve hot soup and sandwiches from 10 +to 3 they are always so helpful . . …

This is one of the best locations for the VPL. Quiet and feels a little like reading a book in your own living room.
