"A delightful well laid out park in Finchley Central, lush and green with a pleasent entrance bordered by planted beds of flowers, the pathways snake around the lawns and there are plenty of benches to sit and admire the views, I had the opportunity to visit this gem with my friend from the suburbs who knows it well, relaxed and peaceful an ideal place to visit and unknown to us City of London dwellers, it was a warm sunny day with a strong breeze blowing but we found a bench out of the wind and sat and enjoyed the tranquility of this almost deserted park, there was no shortage of locals making use of the park but no sign of tourists like myself, I will return again once spring and later summer comes to enjoy it's peace and quiet and the stunning views across the lawns"

Good local park with average cafe selling simple cold snacks / coffee etc. I’ve been coming here for years. A couple of kids playgrounds and a good set of tennis courts. Overall, lacking TLC. Nice circuit for jogging and has the odd funfair twice a year. See mess left behind by travellers who use the opportunity to access the park after the funfair has left - although Barnet Council are a bit better at monitoring this. During school term time, avoid early evenings with kids as teenagers sit on benches smoking marijuana... Since I have had a dog (8months) I’ve enjoyed this park much more and have met many locals and have made some new friends - a good community.
Nice enough green space for a stroll with kids playground. Visited the weekly farmers market today and there certainly was some interesting stalls. From produce brought in from a small dairy farm (no goats milk unfortunately) to bao buns, fresh juices, homemade jams and chutneys (shout out to Pimento Hill), bakery and cake stalls to the buzzing Jamaican stall selling jerk chicken and patties. Tried some of their fruit punch which was very nice. The farmers market is a lovely lively addition to the park. A long time coming I might add.
Nice environment. Very friendly for parents, toddlers, any one walking around in need of fresh air and looking for calm. nice neighborhood, safe, not too big or too small, some tables, chairs, bench great for having a picnic...you can systematically meet the Squirrels around. The playground had been recently renovated (last year) a bit small but you can keep an eye on your little monsters. The trampoline is still locked don't know why as never been in use since they built it last year.
Closing time varies according to sunset. Ideal to have a picnic and outdoor activities when the weather is nice. Newly installed kids playground area. It has tennis courts available to book online as well as a basketball court. It also has a little caffe with outdoor benches and toilets. There is also a bowling green area. If you're scared of dogs although they are supposed to be on a lease many owner let them run free.
Now that there is a Sunday's food market, makes a visit to Victoria Park even more exciting! There is also a lovely coffee shop with plenty of tables and seats inside the park, and it's open all year round, which is amazing. The only issue I find is, that the council should take care more about the public toilets, as they are absolutely disgusting and the last place you would take your kids to a last minute emergency loo visit.
Very nice park with playgrounds, tennis courts, cafe and large space for dogs to run
Playground
Wonderful playground for kids up to 12 years I think and a very small limited one for those who are older.
Restrooms
There is a good clean toilet near the central entrance
Dog-friendliness
Dogs supposed to be on leash but nobody puts attention to that. Plenty of squirrels for dogs to chase.
The Council has (about time!) spent a lot of money on kids equipment in the playground areas. ( Unfortunately it cannot be used at the moment). They have also recently refurbished the tennis courts, turning one of them into a full size Basket Court! This is great for the teenagers who have sadly not been catered for in Victoria Park in the past. Let's hope that it is not pay to use facility!
Really nice park in Finchley Central near to where I live. Great for my morning runs with lots of space for exercise and stretching. Often see people doing group workouts with trainers. There is tennis courts, playground and a cafe with indoor and lots of outdoor seating. I really enjoy coming to this park very early as it is often quiet with just a few joggers and is dog friendly as well.
This is a local park with two small playgrounds, a fee tennis courts, a cafe and plenty of green space for all sorts of outdoor activities. Also afunfair comes to the park every now and then. As the local MP stated recently, a refurbishment budget has been approved for the park and I hope to see a much better park in a few months. They have just started to refurb one of the playing grounds
A beautiful little park, this has something for everyone really. A little cafe, open space, two playgrounds, tennis courts, some nicely laid out planting. Lots of dogs walked here. The cherry blossom in Spring is particularly beautiful. Look out for the Hiroshima memorial tree. For runners - a loop around the park is almost exactly 1km, makes for easy calculations!
A nice clean park with lots of things for the kids to entertain themselves.Swings see saw and other things for the kids to play on . With a basketball hoop for the older children/youths.A tree lined path with benches to chill on.A cafe which sells tea and coffee and soft drinks,a good stop off after walking the dog . Tennis courts and a bowling green .
My local park usually quiet but lots of dogs not on leash. I love animals and specially dogs and I’m not scared of them but if you are scared from dogs I would recommend having someone with you as they are free and they will come sniffing at you. Nice runways for running and It has tennis courts and a cafe for a coffee or a snack (when is open!).
Really nice park, not too far from my home. It's really nice for families to go out for a walk or to play with the kids. Unfortunately the playground it's a bit small. It also suites the dog owners, or all those people who like to run. It's also perfect for picnics,or just take with you a book and relax in the shadow of a tree or in the sunshine.
Little cafe, toilets and open space. Lots of benches to sit and shade too. Nice park ...my dog also loves it. There's a section you have to put your dog on a lead but it's quite small & as you get to it there's a dog on lead image on the path. It's not massive but it is big enough that you can find a quiet spot if you want to read or relax.
With two play areas Victoria Park is an ideal place for children of all ages to burn off some energy. The cafe service is efficient and represents good value for money. There are plenty of benches dotted around the park: some in the shade and others bathed in sunlight - so you can take your pick.
There are a number of attractions avaliable including children a play areas; for younger and older children , a basketball hoop, tennis courts and a cafe. There is a lot of mud and uneven lawns, however, during a nice day it is a great place for a picnic. There is some evidence of vandalism.
It's a park. If you like parks, this is a reasonable example of a suburban London one. Nothing fancy. Reasonably good tennis courts, nice walling paths, halfway decent playground. A good cafe too. Perhaps it could be bigger, but London land prices, eh, whaddya gonna do?
Great local park offering green spaces for games, dig waking and picnics/lying about. Good paths for buggies and wheelchairs. Play grounds for young and older children. Tennis courts, basketball court and good cafe with lots of outdoor seating. And it’s an arboretum!
Very well looked after with loads of good toys for kids. Kept clean and no litter.
Playground
Very well organized
Restrooms
Shameful display of council not taking their responsibility seriously
Picnic area
Loads of grassy areas to seat and enjoy
This little park has a lot of character, two small playgrounds, tennis courts and a pine tree covered in wisteria our children love to climb. The cafe is a little scruffy and the toilets are generally shut. When they are open you will regret having to use them.
It's a public space, a park. There is the usual overpriced cafe run by people who can't speak English properly and cheat you on the prices. There is a kids play area, a marked out walking path, tennis courts, etc. Very average and in serious need of a makeover.
Visited for a first time with my kids today, nice playground, place to stay for a coffee and today kids had a great fun at Fan Fair, will be definitely coming back to that park. Update. Been for a second time with kids today 2022 May, kids enjoyed Fun Fair x
Quiet, peaceful, beautiful trees, nice walking path all around, even has nice outdoor place for coffee, ice cream etc., with plenty of seating and a toilet. Lots of benches around to sit. Parking between 2-3pm is for residents only, all other times is free.
Well kept park with plenty of large open space to play, picnic, walk, cycle, etc. Plenty of benches. Good playgrounds for children. Tennis courts available, though must be booked. There is a cafe available, but the staff are unfortunately often unfriendly.
Exceptionally well kept park. Great, clean, well maintained tennis courts with online booking available. Play area seemed to be very well enjoyed by the sounds of happy children, plenty of parking around the perimeter and a lovely summers evening trip out
Great open space. Access from Balards Lane and Long Lane. Two playgrounds. Bowling and croquet greens in operation. Always buzzing with families and teens after school engaged in basket ball. Tennis courts are busy in season. Restaurant is open all year.
Brought my 5yr old son here, as it was where i used to come as a kid myself, (some 40 odd years ago) and we had a lovely day! Only problem I had was the toilets were locked so my son had to go for a pee in a bush! Apart from that it's a great Park.
Hard to rate a park! There is a cafe with outside seating. Two play areas, tennis courts and a bowling and croquet club. The park itself is a bit dull. Very flat. St. Stephens Park is much more interesting but not flat so no good for ball games
I love this park. Everything in the right proportion. Big enough to do a few circuits. Small enough to have a cozy coffee. A colourful full playground, tennis courts and more. And everything spaced out sensibly. And clean. Good urban planner!
Last time I was there, the playground was new, very different from previous one and with new games and more possibilities to play with. Keep in mind that this playground is suitable for 1 to 5/6 years old. The rest of the park is so peaceful.
A really nice neighbourhood park. Great memories for me as my Grandparent's local park. A decent size and just really relaxing, with enough areas to relax, as well as for recreation. Really helps that it's in a gorgeous north London suburb.
Lovely park. Brings me back memories. They have now removed the climbing frame with the slide. (Seen yestereday 5th Sept. 2023) My son used to call it "spider park" because of that frame!
Playground
Fantastic playground for all ages
A good place for kids. There's a separate area with swings for toddlers. It's near the cafe. You can have your coffee and let your little one hsvd fun on swings :) Besides that enough space for dogs and there are swings for elder kids too.
Great place for dog walkers, picnickers and sports players alike. It has three tennis courts and some basketball courts, as well as an area to play football in. The courts are not maintained very well, but they are certainly still useable.
Victoria Park has a nice open space, like every public park, the bathrooms could be looked after more as the state of the bathrooms are fairly disgusting, I've seen parents tell their kids to use trees/bushes over the actual toilets. The
Another beautiful park with so much on offer for the family of the very young, the teenagers who still dont mind tagging along with the oldies. Basketball, tennis, kick to kick, frizbee throwing and launching the tennis ball for the much
Great local park. There is a cafe with a reasonable selection, pricey like any park cafe but the owners are lovely. Toilets are available but grim, I'd recommend avoiding. Highlight is definitely the playgrounds. Great playground for
Basketball courts, tennis courts, children's playground, lots of large open green space where you can play football and a café with quite a latge outdoor seating area with parasols. Courts and café are busy when weather is very nice.
Neglected lately and it only attract people when circus comes to town. There are a few people who either morning exercises. Nothing special about the park unless you fancy a basketball or tennis and even that plus a challenge.
Very beautiful location.Specially for the health conscious people of all ages. Invironment inside this park like as all the friendly family members get together under one umbrella. Victoria park is most favorite place for us.
Nice local park, has a cafe, tennis courts, two play areas for children, basketball area and lots of flat open space, dogs are also allowed in designated areas. Could do with better toilet facilities and maybe a fitness area?
Great open space 2 play areas one with swings and basketball hoop. The other with lots for younger kids like slide, climbing frame and much more. A small cafe for coffees ice cream etc. Good tennis courts. Dog friendly park.
Very family friendly park. A children's play area at one end and a teenage friendly play area at the other. Very well looked after with tennis courts and a nice outdoor cafe open 7 days a week. Great for dog owners aswell.
A very nice and relaxing park with family and friends. Alot of green for fun activity with also a fun fair present right jow go and enjoy. Also, it has an outdoor seating ice cream bar where you can buy some refreshments.
Park at North Finchley in a friendly neighborhood. Kids corner, tennis court, basketball court, walking trails and open space for your lovely pet to freak out.
Picnic area
Nice green grass to enjoy family time.
Every thing for fresh air ,nice cafee, tennis court, children's playing area, dogs walkers, nice and some rare trees, squirrel s,parking freeee on surrounding roads, toilets for both genders, nice lovely flowers benches,
Lovely little park. Plenty of dogs around and two parks for kids to play around in. There cafe seems ok, pizza isn't made onsite though. There are tennis courts, a bowls green, toilets and most importantly, grass.
Lovely park with tennis courts, cafe next to it, playground for young chidren and toddlers and another playground for teenagers. Well maintained with lovely flowers and trees. Good place for picnic too.
I would give another star if the public toilets were actually opened! On the other hand, there are 8 tennis courts free of use and no booking is needed. There is also a really big and nice green space.
Really like this park especially in the summer. So far it was always clean when we were there. There's lots of space and it's a favourite spot for fun fairs. There's also small playground for kids...
Good neighborhood park. There's a lot of grass (which is regularly cut) but there are also children playgrounds, flower gardens, playing fields, six public tennis courts, a bowling club and a cafe.
Its good small park. There is a cafe and toilet. Suitable for wheelchair. There is a bus stop in front of the park. You can go there on foot from Finchley Central Station. It's good for breathing.
A nice bit of green space along the main road through Finchley. The park has a children's playground, tennis courts, which are free to use, and a small cafe. It can get busy during nice weather.
Great park with Tennis courts, large green space with trees and nice benches to sit on, a very good cafe and sitting area, not far from North Finchley Bus station and the Underground.
My favourite park in Finchley. Nice open space with a Café. Also with great local restaurants nearby you can grab a takeaway and eat in the park. Also has a pleasant community feel.
Great local park with cafe, market (Sundays), tennis court, basket ball court and lots of green open space to run around on. Two playgrounds at either end, both busy and well kept.
Nice little old-fashioned traditional local park. It has everything you would expect in a small Park but a shame about the parking restrictions around it and the lack of toilets.
Victoria park is always nice and clean, you get more or less the same people, locals chilling out at the park and the tennis courts. Friendly and safe place for kids and families
Great place for a stroll, exercise, taking a sunbath, reading a book or playing with the kids. It has plenty of space to be on your own or with others without disturbing others.
Amazing welcoming place with amazing staff and the owner. Food was absolutely delicious. Views are breathtaking. We will be back here to eat when we come back to Newquay again!
Unrestricted parking in road behind the park els where residents parking CPZ 2 to 3PM restriction .Large open spaces, children play area and tennis courts (closed at present) .
Nestled away at the top of Finchley High Street is a fairly large open park Nice little cafe served by friendly staff, great area to walk or jog or just seat and be quiet
I was excited to have a walk in this park but pretty shocked at the state of it. Hopefully the city will get it cleaned up soon or there are going to be worse problems...
Nice open space with 2 separate playgrounds per age group, tennis courts, cafeteria and toilets. Kids enjoy climbing the trees and plenty paths for scooters and bikes.
A beautiful park with squirrels, dogs, and playing children. Several entrances and exits make this a worthwhile detour to take rather than walking on the high street.
Nice, quite large and pleasent environment. Places for kids to play. Reasonably looked after. Liked by dog owners. Due to Corona, people do keep their distance well.
Lovely park with playground for kids and toddlers. Near of main road of Central Finchley. Running and for picnic places. You can also park your car, around roads.
It is great when weather is good to go. Had a great time with our dog.park is clean and I have been going since with kids since 2001. Try it when weather is good.
Very friendly park consists of infants/children playgrounds, toilets and cafe, etc.

Nice park but the children playground a bit small. Otherwise the coffee place is nice and plenty green place to play . The tennis court is free to use now.
It has a big grass area , some tennis courts and two parks another thing they have is a coffe and ice cream place most of the place is also very immaculate
Amazing wide park with great facilities such as: Cafe, tennis courts, playgrounds and more. For a couple of weeks in the summer there is also a fun fair
Lovely local open space, trees and lots green areas to relax. tennis courts and park kitchen restaurant. Enjoy jogging there.beautiful in early spring
Lovely park with two playground for the kids as well as tennis court and basketball court. Always a nice place to go with kids or to just have a walk.
Great park. New play area is nice albeit could do with a little more for babies. Lots of facilities, tennis and great cafe for ice cream and coffee!
Nice flat paths to push a pram. Lots of dogs . Good little coffee place. Two play areas for different ages and an adult gym section is being added.
Very nice park had a fair ground there when I went. Lots of parking around the park and a nice playground . Very clean as well and good for dogs
Our local park, nice for walks or for a game of tennis. Two separate playgrounds for kids and with many improvements to come this park is great.
Had a busy Sunday last week. Food market doing a nice trade. The food area was great, well organised and the people really made the atmosphere.
This is a truly lovely park for families and dog walkers, it has tennis and basket ball courts plus two children's play areas and a lovely cafe
Good park but could be a bit bigger! Has a lot of things for the kids and they did like it...but just felt a bit congested because of the size
Great place to enjoy good walks alone or having a day out to take sun bath good for young kids as well as other sports fans like lawn …
Has to playgrounds for children and tennis courts with cafe. The park is just big enough for a couple of laps and is well used and friendly
This is a lovely, spacious park that is near the New Barnet Leisure Centre. I highly recommend it. Don't hesitate to pop over for a visit.
Grass could be in better condition as it's always ripped up by the fun fair but regardless, still a nice walk. Coffee shop pretty good too
Playgrounds have been updated recently but still more suitable for younger kids. Nice place for a break at the cafe near the tennis court.
With a discreet entrance that hides the pleasant park that it is. It's not big, but it has some sports facilities and a playground.
Lovely local park two children's. Bowling green end tennis courts. Good local cafe which is very friendly. very reasonably priced.
Thank you to whoever decided to keep this park so tidy and clean. A nice spot to go to if you are local and in need of some relax.
Love this little park. There are some fantastic places for children to play, adults to rest or walk and the cafe is really nice.
Very nice park for adults and small children. However the playground at the opposite end of the main entrance needs to improved
Nice, safe, middle class Park. Tennis courts, cafe, play zone for kids. Somewhere to jog with your coconut milk flat white!
The fun fair is not organised only one ride was working The service from the Lotties lady was rubbish has no manner at all
Nice little park. Was working across the road from it and walked through to the cafe the other side. Busy enough place.
Lovely local park. Well kept and clean. Nice little cafe near the tennis courts. Play grounds at both ends of the park.
Nice park and good to relax in. Lots of litter around and owners do not clear up after their dogs, which is annoying.
Great park for a walk at any time and as a bonus you can find amazing trees like the one in the picture. …
Nice park with playing fields , snack bar serving hot and cold drinks and icecream , mixed crowd nice open areas .
Very nice park to go to with Family, kids and friends! Has play ground, basketball pitch and some tennis courts.
