I have been here a few times now and the service is not what one would expect from a Vida. When compared to their counterpart in Bellville, this particular branch's service is lacking enthusiasm and professionalism. Staff hardly comes across as friendly and helpful. To add insult to injury, they made an error on my order giving me a hot chocolate after ordering white hot chocolate - a normal mistake that anyone can make I understand, however when taking the poor service into consideration it seems like the error was more likely due to a lack of commitment from staff. Their products however is of good quality and always enjoyable.

Stopped going here for about 3 months since the last time when the lady steamed the milk so much that the cap melted. When Elvis is there - its all good. When Elvis is not there - don't bother going in. This morning I (regrettably) went in for a cappuccino as was in the area. What did I order: a grande cappuccino. What did I receive: a grande cup half filled with foam and the remaining half barely drinkable liquid. I would not call this a coffee or cappuccino. The man doing the coffee did not actually bother steaming the milk as a proper barista should. Just stuck the wand in and out and dumped the foam on the shot. Amazing.

A typical Vide, as per the standardised offering across all franchises in the group. This one's location is quite nice. It features wall to wall glass looking into the street. It's located on a street corner. There's also a covered patio with outside seating. It's next to a popular bicycle shop and on weekends cyclists often drop in for a coffee and snack after a training ride. As per the chain's offering you're looking at barista prepared coffees in the different varieties, as well as filled croissants, etc. - sit down or takeaway.

Very bad experience, was super excited for penut butter forca, but they did not have the necessary supplies and was left to try different smoothies - choc brownie and fudge smoothy . Paid R105 & sat down , but only the choc brownie arrived and we were told that they also did not have the supplies to make fudge smoothy. I was left to quickly decide on a different one , and choose their penut butter choc smoothy. Both smoothies tasted horrible , awful chocolate taste. Waste of money.

Visited this branch for lunch had the choc peanut butter shake and sandwich firstly the order took forever to be made and when we finally got the food it was the worst shake I had ever had ,no peanut butter ,no choc taste at all, very watery.The food was just above par, to be honest for the money paid and the quality and service received was way below average, you need to do better very disappointed

Do not go here, the staff who served me (Kevin) was very rude. I told him to cancel my order and restart it, he proceeded to IGNORE ME, and then when I asked him again to restart the order he told me that I was “being disrespectful” He then proceeded to lecture me as if I was his child, Not sure who promoted him to the Manager position.

I must say I am a tad disappointed. I have been to Vida e Durbanville a handful of times and their service is not where it should be. I have struggled with the Wifi when I have meetings there and the staff are not helpful. They don't even show their willingness to help. I must say that it is very loud as well, so if you want a vibey coffee date, go there, but for meetings it is not really practical.

Bought a breakfast croissant,and my colleague got toasties,take away,when we got our order,we only just realized that they had forgotten to give my order,then I had to go back,croissant was burnt,bacon was burnt,egg was cooked so dry,tasted like rubber

Very disappointed in this store. Their frios is missing the ice felt like I had water and milk frio The flies are unbelievable in the store, I get that it's hot but that is not good for an open kitchen. The staff use the same cloth to wipe cutting boards and knife for sandwiches. It was my first time at this branch and I can say without a doubt I won't be returning.

They have the driest chalky muffins @R40 each. I might as well have gone to Shoprite and bought a giant muffin there because it would taste better. I bought the muffins expecting it would be great for a business meeting along with some coffee. I will NEVER buy it again. She on you for selling the old dried muffins as fresh.

Nice seating inside and very energetic staff as always. Their quadro savoury muffins is delicious and their croissants chicken and avo sandwich. Their coffee is always the same so you always know what you get which is good. A bit pricy compared to other places. Good for business meetings or to meet up with a friend during lunchtime.

Had to get up and find out where is the coffee after seeing 3 walk ins getting their coffee after our order... Barista said he did not get our order then started taking in his own language to the guy on the till tot ally ignoring me...

I found this place when I had to fetch my specs from the optician nearby. I had missed breakfast and Vida e Caffe in Durbanville was very convenient to fill this need. Pity that there are no toilet facilities, otherwise the food was good and the staff helpful.

It is what it is. It's a Vida. They are all the same. The staff are loud and vibey, but don't always hear what you have to say, so don't order any complicated things. Keep it simple and you will be delighted. When it's less busy (and I've never seen it not busy) maybe go wild with your creative menu choices.

Double check your orders because the staff will serve you what they want. I ordered a vegetarian meal and was served a meat meal with pork. More shocking. They don't apologize but defend their actions Bar far the worst experience in 36 years of my life!

Was under renovation when we were there but the store remained open to assist patrons which was so great! They did, however, get my order wrong but I enjoyed the different order nonetheless haha ♥️ So rather not make a fuss when the wrong order was delicious!

Another nice Vida. They lost a star on my rating because they made my coffee way too warm anf the taste wasnt on a Vida level. Love the corner view in Durbanville.

I call this Durbanville's local tavern. Coffee is good. It is Vida after all. But........The music is so loud you can't hear each other speak. We go sit a distance away. And this is before 7 in the mornings.

Had breakfast here with the cycling club. There were lots of people making it pretty busy, but the staff prepared the coffees in record time, and before I even thought about it, breakfast was served. I'm really impressed with the fast service!

Conveniently located in the center of Durbanville, it's a great place to grab a coffee or on the go snack. There is seating available outside. There is always happy music playing and the staff great you with a warm smile every time!

Great and friendly staff, but not always clean. I saw a cockroach scurry after a staff member grabbed something from a cupboard. And it doesn't look like they keep it very clean behind the counters like they do at other Vida Cafe's.

2nd time the Wifi didn't work, after the staff say it does. I normally like the loud vibe at Vida but this was too much. Got the wrong change too after having to ask for it. Will be back again for a take away coffee only.

Went to this Vida at 17h10 today and they refused to serve me because they were closed (while the doors were open). Their trading hours states that they are open till 6pm. They assistant just said, 'Old Owners'...

Not a great experience. Their pastries were stale at 8.30am in the morning and the coffee was a bit burnt. I'm a Vida convert, but this outlet was a bit of a downer. Pity, because it has such a great location.

I love Vida, this was my first visit to this branch but this was a little disappointing.. it was the toasted sandwich that let them down, not their usual standard, possibly not toasted for long enough?

I went with a large group of people on a Saturday at 16:40 (still 20min for closing time) to just get take aways and they told us they were closed and refused to serve us. Very unprofessional.

Ordered a Chai Late, left and when I wanted to drink the Chai, it was Cuppucino! No phone no to contact them, had to go back!

Ordered small hot chocolate...guy made medium. At 10am they had no variety of muffins left. One of the worst Vide Cafes I been to. Sanitizer bottle wasnt working either.

Very "hip&happening" compared to the other local hotel spots. Food and feel of the place very similar to other Vida e caffes. And obviously, coffee is their speciality.
