"The staff is wonderful, the selection is awesome, and they're welcoming of my weirdo dog"
"Fun place just to visit from out of town, jealous of the collection here and I wish I had a rental store, especially one this cool, in my city"
"I called two weeks ago to ask about a Thai film that had no North American distribution from the production company"
"This place is a great example of what makes Atlanta a great city"
"Took a date to this place and it was BEYOND awesome to see his reaction! If you're looking for something to do with a significant other or bestie, Videodrome is a great lil' outing to pick all genres of movies out"
The staff is wonderful, the selection is awesome, and they're welcoming of my weirdo dog. I don't usually write reviews, but I have COVID and nothing else to do but praise the homies at the DROME. I am so fortunate to live down the street from this place, and love the instant sense of community whenever I walk in. 5/5, love you guys!
Fun place just to visit from out of town, jealous of the collection here and I wish I had a rental store, especially one this cool, in my city. Picked up a zine and some stickers, but they also have a section of used VHS tapes and dvds available to purchase, including some Criterion Collection and Blu-ray releases.
I called two weeks ago to ask about a Thai film that had no North American distribution from the production company. They didn’t have it and could not find it myself online so figured I would never see it. They called me just now to say that since I asked for it, they found it and have it in stock. Amazing.
This place is a great example of what makes Atlanta a great city. Not only do they have a great selection of films, the store is organized well and the owner is knowledgeable. You can tell that everyone involved here loves film. If you are visiting Atlanta this place is worth checking out.
Took a date to this place and it was BEYOND awesome to see his reaction! If you're looking for something to do with a significant other or bestie, Videodrome is a great lil' outing to pick all genres of movies out. Fun fact, we ended up renting Gummo, Thirteen, and Boyhood.
They have everything you could possibly want here, organized in helpful and easy-to-browse sections by genre and director! John seems to have infinite knowledge of movies and recommended a fantastic movie that I never would’ve found otherwise. Will definitely be returning!
I love love LOVE this place. Every time I’m looking for something specific, they have it. Every time I ask for a recommendation, they kill it. The staff is always warm and welcoming to me and and anyone who walks through the door while I’ve been there. Videodrome forever!
Spoke to a worker in there and was greeted warmly. He was telling me all about their system of movie rentals. Very cool store with everything packed with cool movies. Staff is nice and place is great. 5 dollars a rental for 10 days in was told if I remember correctly.
My husband and I have gone twice now and we love it. I personally love how everything is sorted and gets into specifics about genre, director, etc. Owner is always super nice and there is a great selection. If you want to see it, Videodrome has it.
Wow! What an extensive collection of so many films in history! And they do rentals A bit bummed not many sales of movies but it is understandable considering the times and what they offer. But man oh man... this place is a film fans
Altho I lived out of town, it was always a great visit. I knew it was a great place when I saw the Salo poster A dream store come true as a filmmaker & enthusiast... Abel Ferrara, John Cassavetes and Alejandro Jodorowsky sections amongst
This place is amazing. If you are a film buff or live in Atlanta, you probably already know Videodrome. I really can't say enough about the selection, the guys who run this place, or the significance of having such an important video rental
It's a fine store and it is one-of-a-kind. It serves mostly blu-rays and some DVDs. There is a VHS section for purchase but it's rather small. The clerks can help you if you need to find a title for yourself, someone else, or a group. The
The last, best video store in Atlanta. Staff is knowledgable and kind. The store is now predominantly blue ray-focused but still rents some standard DVDs and has LOTS of standard DVDs and VHS tapes for sale...cheap! Rentals are now a week
In one of the magazines at our hotel, it stated this was a record store, so we were surprised that it is an independent video store ( Although it really is in the name). It was cool and set up well... just not what we were seeking. But if
i found this place walking home from work one day after moving to atlanta. i have been obsessed ever since! the nicest staff, best recommendations, and truly an unmatched selection. anytime a buddy is visiting me, i have to take them here
I find it difficult to imagine a better business existing. The staff is always super helpful and cool, they have a great selection, and they’re always on hand with awesome recommendations. I’ve never asked them to recommend something and
Videodrome is a fairly small stop, you could miss it if you're not paying attention but you will be glad you stopped there when you do! This place is a film lovers dream!! So many obscure and hard to find gems! All on physical media of
I thoroughly enjoyed this place! It is a truly nostalgic experience for those of us that grew up in the blockbuster days. It is like walking back in time. This store is wonderfully located and within walking distance to a lot of great
I am so thankful Videodrome exists! Friday nights, growing up, used to be all about going to the video store to pick out a movie. Thanks to this store, we can still have that experience. They have an awesome selection of new releases,
Videodrome rocks and pretty much always has what I'm looking for. Oftentimes I even find something I wasn't looking for that I really enjoyed! Staff are super kind and helpful. Really grateful to have a place like this in town.
Truly an Atlanta icon. Best selection, kindest people, perfect location. If you have a way to play movies, visit immediately. If you don't have a way to play movies, find a way, and then visit immediately.
It’s the best. Once I was bingeing Battlestar and crushed two DVDs in one afternoon and returned them the same day, they let me take the next disc free because I hadn’t been gone 6 hours.
The best, if not one of the only videos stores in the area. A local favorite for all ages. Definitely recommend renting a few videos from here and making it a regular occasion.
Classic stop for a movie night. Staff is happy to give advice and critique your awful taste in film (jk)
Great spot if you love film, large selection, cataloged by director and genre. Even some hot mumblecore.
May this place exist forever. Best selection, staff, and prices.
