A great little "hole in the wall restaurant". The quality of the food is great, and the servings are well sized and reasonably priced. They do a mean Pho (Beef and Noodle soup); great salt & pepper chicken wings; and their braised pork belly and steamed veges was fantastic. The decor is minimal, it's warm and inviting. The collection of vinyl records on the ceiling is an attempt to dress the place up. All up, the atmosphere is nice, it's busy but still intimate. If you go, don't expect a "fine dining" experience, it's a small family restaurant with minimal staff. That said, this place definitely has appeal! We saw the whole spectrum of patrons from university students, though to young coulpes, and whole families. They do a great feed, at a decent price. With staff and owners that love what they do. So glad we found this place.

I’ve been looking for good Vietnamese soups since moving from Inala. AND I FINALLY FOUND THE PLACE. The service from the young waitress was so lovely & the food was delicious. I really enjoyed the chicken noodle soup. And what ended my experience on a high, the owner/chef came out and personally thanked us for the support. Will definitely be back.

Went here with my girlfriend and will never return. We waited at least 45 mins for our takeaway when quoted 15 mins. I ordered mine and my girlfriend's food at the same time but mine came out 20 mins earlier, when questioning the girl on front counter she said they prioritise orders which is absolute BS and offered no apology for the wait time. Once we received our food it was appalling that they could charge so much for what we got. Save your time and your money!! Would give a negative star if I could.

We started off with the seven spiced chicken wings they were so bland, mums fried rice which lacked seasoning was bland as well. We wondered if it was actually fried as it was so gluggy. We had the tamarind ribs and the spicy prawns. Prawns were nearly inedible and the ribs were lacking flavour. Sauce not reduced. Overall disappointing stick to the fish and chips around the corner where they are lined up out the door

So great to have great Vietnamese in our area. I've had a lot of pho and this place does a great one - very authentic! The owner is very lovely. The restaurant is very quaint. We very much enjoy this place

Beef Pho

Av-a-chat is a hidden gem within the northwest of Brisbane. Great food and ultra-friendly owners make it a pleasure to dine there. We love it and return as regularly as we can. The Vietnamese pantry next door is a great place to pick up some supplies and attempt to recreate the wonderful food you have just eaten.

Staff and atmosphere is nice. Foods fine, not the best thing I have ever eaten but nothing wrong with it it's just fine. Spicy beef soup comes with a little bowl of chill that you add to your liking 2 times now gf has made the fatel mistake of just adding half and I get to watch sweet running down her forehead

Best pho and friendly staff! Will definitely come back!

This is my 3rd time here and I've never been disappointed. Tonight our family had chicken wings, fish cakes, beef pho and crispy chicken with rice. All the dishes were amazing!! We finished off with banana dessert which delicious. This Vietnamese restaurant is now our family favourite in Brisbane.

So hard to find great food in the area but this small almost hole in the wall business really serves up the goods. Barramundi spring rolls to begin with were fantastic followed up by the Spicy beef Pho while the better half had the Pork belly stew. Both flavourfull dishes. Highly recommended

The store looked amazing though it was quite hot and humid,and the food wasn’t Waht I would expect it to be,the soup was a bit bitter.Overall 3 stars,would not come back sorry to the owner

Very authentic Vietnamese meals. Great service. It can be sporadically very busy and the kitchen staff have trouble keeping up with a sudden influx so if its crowded there may be a wait time. That being said its generally worth it. BYO as well and there is a bottleo just round the corner

Love this place, 10/10 would recommend the Pho (Beef Noodle Soup) it’s PERFECT. It’s so good I’ve been here all week. Also I did try the Maryland Crispy Skin Chicken, sh*t you not I was blown away. Definitely the best Viet Food up on this side of town. Do yourself a favour and eat here.

Delicious takeaway! Got the chicken pho and lemon grass tofu for mum and I night in! Best Vietnamese in Brisbane hands down, the ingredients are fresh and they are so thoughtful, waiting till I arrive to put the fresh steamed rice in the takeaway dish ! :)

Soul warming bowls of pho and delicious spring rolls. Will definitely be adding this to our Friday night take out rotation roster.

Some of the food was ok, the spring rolls were good. The pork in the rice paper rolls didn't taste the freshest, the peanut sauce was super thick like peanut butter and the spicy beef noodle soup was bland. It was kind of expensive.

Small informal cafe with authentic Vietnamese food. Roll your own rice paper rolls are fun for entree, and we had a delicious Slow Cooked Pork Belly. I highly recommend the sticky rice and traditional Vietnamese coffee for dessert.

Good, authentic Vietnamese. Clever idea of putting lettuce between rice paper rolls so they don't stick together. Lovely service and even gave us free drinks because of the wait time. Awesome.

This is a fantastic Vietnamese restaurant. The best Pho we have had in Brisbane. Friendly staff and wonderful Chef. They always make us feel welcome and the food is fresh and delicious.

The chef and staff are lovely, I always order the chicken pho and my partner orders the beef pho. The spring rolls are fresh and massive and the pho’s are clean tasting and delicious.

Wish I had known about this joint sooner! Used to drive to Inala or Sunnybank Hills from northside to quench my cravings for rich broth of pho. Avachat Cafe delivered that!

Had a great meal from Avachat - the chicken pho was delicious, hot and fresh. We had the chicken curry and it was also tasty.
