I used to attend the school as a student from 2002 to 2006. I was also an educator there from 2013 to 2021. Facilities and infrastructure: Sports fields are kept in pristine condition, classrooms, bathrooms and other facilities, these require a lot of attention. Some of the classrooms are a safety hazard. Very traditional, with a lack of modern technologies. Academics and learner discipline: Overall quite moderate, but I had a good experience as an educator. Educators do very well, considering the background and socio-economic circumstances of the students. Drug tests are done on a continuous basis, with a positive outcome the majority of the time, mostly for THC. Management and SGB: Prior to 2021 there was a lot of nepotism, with a husband and wife making up two-thirds of senior management positions. The previous principal also spent a lot of billable hours on personal matters, as opposed to doing the job at hand. Since April 2022 the school has had a new senior management. The current principal is a narcissistic (bully), incompetent individual, that has an undiagnosed mental disability, having been appointed to the position due to a familiarity with the GDE district officials. The SGB is also ceremonial in their positions. Staff and educators: The school has mostly decent educators, however corporal punishment and emotional bullying of learners are a common occurrence. Very traditional approach to education, with limited application of modern teaching resources and technology. Most staff members do very well in their occupation and have pride in their positions. Overall: A decent public school with a good Gr12 pass rate. Educators are old-school in their approach, but okay. Facilities have not been attended to since the early 2000s, with the exception of the sports fields. Senior management is a cancerous tumor that threatens the functioning of the school. The students are mostly good, but there is a very problematic issue of substance abuse among a large majority of the students. I would rate it a 5 out of 10

Finished my school year at Vorentoe 2009, there was some great teachers but there was also some pathetic ones, I mostly blame management for this which appointed teachers to posts which they where not qualified for as a result of the lack of teachers in certain fields. -From contact with some of my previous good teachers of which one sadly passed on I can only say the latest Principal of the School is not worth of his employment position and that he is a big bully with his own personal agenda's. -In the past is would give the school a 3 out of 5 even with all its problems but currently I feel the school is way behind and will not provide proper education to the future of our country. -I do hope things will go better and that the school can once again be an honorable place at which we can teach the future generations.

This school has terrible leadership Teachers are bullying learners One pupil committed suicide and this pupil was bullied by Mrs Malanie Ollier a mathematics teacher at the school. Like this pupil I too was bullied by the deputy principal Mrs Saestad And don’t recommend that any parent send their children to this school

Well managed school with an excellent Grade 12 pass rate. Average 40 children per class , consisting of every race and religion. Not an easy task. Well done teachers. Gauteng Dept of education should pay attention to maintenance issues.

Quality sports facilities. Staff in charge of extra curricular activities and facilities are effective communicators. Don't know much about the academics of the school.

Good school with an hardworking principal and staff. Has an excellent matric pass rate every year.
