Alright so, the most important thing coming here is to temper your expectations. Take a look at the satellite view on Google maps and you will see the size of the zoo. Keep in mind it's a zoo built inside the heart of the CBD. If you want a short experience for small children this is fine, it will take you an hour if you go around looking at the exhibits, you could probably spend 2-3 if you take your time, have lunch here etc. You will see Crocs, koalas and kangaroos, everything else is hit or miss, we went through the entire nocturnal section looking at empty exhibits except for the ones with snakes. Speaking of lunch, probably best to bring your own, the Koala rooftop cafe was manned by only one person taking orders and making coffees etc, so when we came and there was about 2 dozen people hanging around, it was not fun waiting around to get food/coffee. Food selection is quite limited as well, bring your own lunch unless you are happy with pies and sausage rolls etc. If you want to make a day of it, combine this with SeaWorld next door. Both are small but together you would be able to make a proper day of it. However this brings me to my last gripe, for such a small zoo, the prices are high $48 for adults, $36 for children. As a zoo it's a little disapointing, but hey it's in the middle of the CBD which is kind of the answer to all my gripes (except for the one person staffed at the cafe).

I accidentally booked tickets thinking this was the Sydney zoo in western Sydney. It was a happy accident! We got a discount on the tickets through my NRMA membership. It was a great day out with my father, and sisters family with three kids. It's fun for all ages. We got off the train at wynyard, it was mostly undercover for the walk down. Lots of escalators to make to walk easier. Coffee shops on the way. The zoo is inside and perfect for a hot day. We arrived about 12pm. The animals were being fed at this time. They were very active, easy to see and we got to see the keepers in the exhibits feeding the animals. This was our Christmas present to our family and a great day out making memories together. We saw the baby koala up close. The canteen does not accept cash and was very expensive. I recommended bringing your own food and drinks

Kira the koala was the star of the day since all the other 7 was sleeping. Woombat was totally adorable. All the zookeeper and the animal talk was fun and educational. Thanks for the warm friendly welcome from the admission staff and photobooth staff. This small zoo in middle of sydney trully highlighted Australia 5 amazing local animals. The zoo is really fun and nice. We were able to enjoy the whole route with a baby pram/stroller without any issues. It is very well maintained; we saw many animal caretakers working in the exhibitions and they were very friendly. There are many local animals we never saw before, and they are easy to spot during the walking route. It is a bit expensive for what it offers (around a 1 and a half to 2-hour walking route) but if you enjoy watching local animals (especially if you haven't seen Australian animals before) it is recommended.

Also one more kid friendly place to visit in CBD of Sydney. size of zoo is not big so it is just takes 60-90mins to fully enjoy, but it is still valuable to visit here. You can find 5 the most precious animals in AU such lik Kangaroo, koala and alligators. My daughter was really excited when she met Kangaroos first time here. Even for me, it was impressive. In overall, Zoo was also lovely place but not much impressive. and even less impressive when we compare with Aquarium near this zoo.

Short and sweet attraction, not many animals to watch but it was good experience for us. I especially went for koala and very satisfied watching them because we got lucky they woke up exactly on our arrival For me, main attraction was koala then crocodile aligaltor, kangaroos Oh there was wallabies and Tasmanian devil too(flexing cuz we see lot of them here in Tasmania ) Great to hang out with family.

Such a terrible attraction. The exhibits were very limited and the place was almost empty inside. We visited Currumbin a few weeks ago and we’re amazed by the open area and the joy of all the animals. Here, the animals are confined to tiny little spaces, with barely any real nature, and close to the smog of the city, and the animals look very sad and unhappy. It really should be relocated to an open air space!

A great place to visit to see all your favourite Australian animals. All the koalas were sleeping but still very cute. The kangaroos were very friendly. The wombat was sleeping. The Tasmanian Tigers liked to sunbake. Some of the nocturnal animals were hard to find, especially in the dark. It would have been nice if there was more space for the animals to live in. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful.

Bought Combo tickets for $75 to visit 3 attractions. The Indoor Zoo is small. It's ok for me, as I just want to meet the koala. Lucky for us, 2 of them are active and awake. Koala sleeps almost 16 to 20 hrs a day, so meeting these 2 koala made my visit worthwhile since I came all the way from Singapore. The koala enclosure is in the refreshment area. I spent 1/2hr drinking coffee and watched their playfulness. Love it.

If the goal is to see koalas, I would definitely recommend it! There is a koala in a position that you can reach if you reach it. If you pay 30 dollars, you can take a picture with a koala. But touch is impossible. There are not many kinds of animals, but the accessibility is so good. There is an opportunity to feed or touch.

To Katherine and Chloe, Thank you so much for the opportunity to be with Princess the Cassowary. We feel absolutely starstruck to meet and talk to such a gorgeous and powerful bird along with the awesome information you shared with us about him, his enclosure and yourselves as well. Many many thanks from Katelyn and Andrew!

This was hands down my best zoo visit ever. The keepers were highly knowledgeable, and they had great audience interaction. I want to especially thank Teagan, Emily, and the guy at the koala enclosure for answering my many curious questions! You made my visit extra special. I had an absolutely amazing time.

Had a great experience. Two really lovely young ladies named Chloe and Jessica took me aside and asked if I would like to feed one of the Cassowary. Very cool bird. They were both very informative and let me feed him a bunch of grapes. Would recommend if you like to get up close and personal with wildlife.

Nothing special to see. The Kangaroos are too young, the koalas too (besides, I had the misfortune to visit while they were sleeping. In 15 or 20 minutes you can have done the tour. Unless you don't have much time to visit, I recommend taronga you will see more interesting things there

The souvenir store for the Wildlife Sydney Zoo. it has many different items, including dolls, keychain, magnets, toys, stickers, and stationeries, along with many other Marvel's toys for some reason. I ended up buying some pop dolls even though that was the last place I expected to find anything I wanted.

Quiet small for a zoo but they have several animals in the venue. The average time to walk around the zoo should be 2 hours. It was the right middle of the city . Thank you to the lovely staff for a great experience

Great experience. Get a combined ticket with the Wild Life so you’ll have a day filled with animals. Also - koalas! And kangaroos, echidnas, platypus (hard to see but she was there), and other animals native to the continent.

A medium-sized, mostly indoor Zoo that is conveniently located. There is a good variety of iconic Australian animals inside and the ticket price is reasonable if you buy combo tickets with other attractions nearby.

Amazing how there is a zoo in a metropolitan area. Place is very nice. Staff are helpful and friendly. Although sometimes the area is a bit confusing to go through specially if you want to go in a specific place. But overall it was a splendid experience for me my friends and my baby. More

Small but meaningful. It's located in Darling Harbor, so it's a good place to stop by during your busy schedule. This is the first place where I saw a koala waking up and moving.

This place was So Much Fun! We did the Koala photo experience and while you can't touch or hold the koalas, you get closer to them than from the general viewing area, and the keeper can tell you the history of the bears there. enthusiastically recommend! …

Honestly would not recommend. It’s good for a one time visit or as an inclusion in the bundle ticket. Not much to see except for the crocodile and cassowary. The glow in the dark artwork was amazing though so made it worth the ticket. More

Awesome little wildlife park tucked away in Sydney for a few family memories with lovely helpful staff and not as crowded as other tourist destinations in the area. We loved it, and, as it’s not a full day outing, we spent a bit more time
