Today, 3/12, we had a bad experience here (first time, we always go to Rub a Dog). However, we decided to go somewhere new. He took us to our bath stand but did not show us how to attach our dog to the bath tub. Then she complained when we tied our dog up with a grooming tool. Soap and water began to clog the drain. Our dog insisted on drinking the soapy water until we summoned assistance. We took our dog to the drying rack (I'm not sure why a drying rack isn't right next to the bath tub). We left our other dog unattended near the bath tub while we took our other dog to the drying rack. One of the employees was kind enough to tell us that we should bring our dog over because he had been left alone for a few seconds. We do, however, bring our other dog over to the drying rack. As the employee brings in another dog, she pulls the other dog by the leash and moves him (clearly frustrated) without informing us that he was in the way as she passed by. I'd give this place zero stars if I could.
So grateful to David for his grooming skills and customer-centered professionalism. William's lion cut is handsome! He gets cut annually. When we lived in Washington, DC, William had a mobile groomer, so when we moved to Seattle, we were worried we would not find a groomer that could handle our sweet, yet giant cat. Luckily, when we moved to Green Lake in 2017, we found David who was fantastic with William. David moved on to Wag N' Wash, so today we had to drive to Queen Anne to get William's annual lion cut and bath. David generously accommodated us on scheduling. Of course, William's 2019 cut is amazing (William does not look too pleased in the pics, but believe me, he's prancing around the house now). We wouldn't go with anyone else.
The people that work at the shop are always helpful and friendly. Made a grooming appointment and the groomer was rude, confronting and off putting. He came right out and before even greeting me with a simple “hello” launched straight into “we’re going to have to shave him practically bald” because our puppy has mats in his hair. Regardless of the validity of what he was saying, it was his aggressively off putting manner that led me to walk out there and go elsewhere. He was just really uninterested in problem solving or trying to help and was mean about it. Heading to Maser’s where they will at least problem solve with me and be polite and friendly! TLDR: Good place for getting food and supplies, skip the groomers!
Pretty disappointing experience when scheduling a grooming apt. Over a month ago I scheduled to have my dogs groomed. The appointment was set for tomorrow. I just received a call, today, that they can no longer take my dogs tomorrow morning and need to reschedule. That sucks, but I get it. Life happens. My issue is that they didn’t seem interested in rescheduling my appointment quickly. The soonest they offered was an appointment in 3 weeks and if that doesn’t work I can come in 5 weeks. That’s absurd seeing as I didn’t cancel, they did. I can’t speak on the quality of the grooming done because I haven’t experienced it. I can only comment on how disappointing my interaction was in regards to scheduling.
We love Wag N’ Wash with our 2 mega newfies (bears). They have the space and supplies for us to do self wash, always have someone on staff to trim their nails, and we’ve done full blown professional grooming there too when they need it. We always feel welcome, despite their 130lbs size and fluff. They give us a full hour- something that I have never found elsewhere. Some of the places we used to go in the Midwest for self-wash would kick us out after 15 minutes but never tell us that beforehand and it was rather messy to say the least. We appreciate this business and literally would have to install a dog wash at our place if it wasn’t for you all! Thanks :) - Sherlock and Watson
Absolutely love this place! I can bathe my anxious, basket-case dog without plugging up my plumbing or getting my bathroom soggy and get an add on nail trim at the same time. My dog can't tolerate the air dryer, so they give me loads of towels. They supply grooming brushes, the shampoo and conditioner as well. The staff are very friendly, knowledgable and helpful. You really feel they are there to help you keep your pup as clean and healthy as possible. They carry the best dog and cat foods, toys, accesories (leashes and such), supplements and have an in house dog treat bakery, so the pups are always happy to go inside to smell the baking treats.
David was recommended for our Berner and he really knew the breed’s grooming needs and personality. Being so sensitive and having bad experiences at other groomers made my dog very stressed, so we stopped taking him and resorted to doing it ourselves. Finding David and having our Berner come back beautiful and happy was so amazing. We definitely will be using David from now on as he is not only knowledgeable about Berners but really understands their sensitive nature. My dog liked him right away and if you know Berners they can take a moment to trust new people sometimes. I felt our pup was in great hands and looked great.
I go to use their self-wash with my Labradors. Anyone who has a Lab knows how much they shed. I got tired of cleaning up their mess in my tub and have found that self-dog wash is the way to go. It saves my back and saves my drain from a clog, plus I can get them done in and out quickly. They are so friendly here, and the place is always so clean. Bonus - the large windows let in a lot of natural light in the tub area - no dark and dingy here!. Also, they have a great selection of products too. Thanks for dealing with the hair mess for me WnW. Time savers!
Great experience! I never write reviews but wanted to specifically recognize our groomer here, Megan. This was our first time at Wag n Wash. My dog is a really tough customer when it comes to his face and his nails and gave the staff a really hard time. Megan handled him patiently and with such care. I'm so impressed by her commitment to the animals and making sure they have a good experience (even when that experience involves her going out of her way to handle a challenging dog). Definitely recommend!
I took my 7 month old puppy, Gus, to get groomed here for the first time. He is anxious and a bit reactive. Holly was awesome! Though I am sure he gave her a run for her money, she had him looking so cute and did exactly what I wanted. I cannot recommend her enough!! Update: We saw Holly again today and I cannot sing her praises enough! She did an AMAZING job with Gus and she is just so nice! If you have a doodle and want the cutest cut, go see her! Gus was also very happy when he came out!
Fantastic staff, great store layout, and extremely caring about the community. We brought our dog in on his 1 year birthday and let him have a go at the store. He was immediately greeted with a treat and went home with several new toys and some fantastic snacks...including a fresh baked birthday cupcake that smelled so good I almost ate it instead! If you're wanting to support a business that not only cares about your furry friend but also your community - this is the place to go.
The store was okay. A bit crammed and with no space to walk, especially near the grooming salon. Also, at the register, the cashier told me that a nail trim is $23 …then I go on the website, and I see that a Full Grooming session is $70. So… nails are almost half the price of a full groom? That’s excessive, and not comparable to other salons. I won’t be going for nails, but I may consider a full groom. Weird, though. Feels taking advantage of one-off services. Absurd.
I took my dog Theodore here to be groomed after having several really bad experiences at Petco. I was very nervous taking him to get groomed but Anna made it very easy and stress free. It took about three hours for Theo to be fully groomed and she only had trouble when she was drying his feet. I can’t say how much I love this place! I thought Theo would never be able to be groomed outside of me at home with some clippers. Thankful for the wonderful staff here
We’ve had bad experiences at other groomers and my dog gets really stressed when he is locked away in a crate. We’ve had to wait more than 5 hours at some of those big box groomers and there is nothing more special than wag n wash and the way their groomers actually care about your pet. My pup actually looks forward to going in the groomer now, not to mention all of the staff are so incredibly kind and caring. Highly recommend wag n wash! (Groomer Alex O.)
Management has slipped just like others have said here. High employee turnover and disengagement has led me to have my dog be turned away for grooming, canceled on for grooming. I have proof of scheduling errors they did and of these cancellations. I’m shocked they still have 4.5 stars and that they come up as same day grooming. You’ll never get a same day grooming appt here. I wish, there was a better more reliable groomer at the top of QA.
Absolutely love this location. I go just to get my dogs nails done and they always do a stellar job. They offer a great selection of retail items for dogs and cats which makes it a convenient location for a one and done stop for pet needs. Also there is a cute bakery inside where you can get baked goods custom made for your dogs and cats special days. Love the location and the staff they are so nice. Just overall a 10/10 for everything.
Wow! What a great experience! Our Golden Retriever needed a wash and we searched and found Wag’n Wash on Queen Anne! Daisy got a nice drive in the convertible on a beautiful sunny day (also helped to air-dry on the way home!). The folks here were friendly, cheerful, and helpful as I washed Daisy on my own! Great facilities, great people! We will be coming back again as this is our new bathhouse for Daisy! Thanks for everything!
We used to be frequent Wag N' Wash customers in upper Queen Anne, until the service began to slip dramatically. My wife and I were just disappointed with a last minute appointment cancellation, after booking over month in advance. No offer to re-book, or help us find a new time which is a strange way to treat loyal customers... we are taking our 3 year old Golden Retriever and his big smile somewhere that appreciates it more!
My Dobey is 9 months and deals with separation anxiety… We did a nail trim & a self wash bath. Not only is everyone there friendly & kind. Amber (who cut my boys nails) was extremely kind, patient and sweet. She made his experience a lot less stressful.. & mine too lol! I was taken away at how professional and kind the people were there. This will be our new home. I am so thankful for the crew & Amber- thanks so much! :)
I've been a few times to have my dogs groomed and they are amazing! One of my dogs had a bad experience at a different groomer and they've been great about greeting him in a way that calms his nerves, and making sure he's comfortable and and styling. I plan to continue taking them to Wag n' Wash for all their grooming needs. It's also super convenient that its also a pet store and there's plenty of parking in the area.
Came in for a nail trim this morning. The groomer was so gentle with my dog, regularly praising him for doing well and trying to help him stay calm even though he was clearly freaked out. He did a great job with the trim, too. Walking home after, I could tell my dog appreciated his nails no longer bumping the sidewalk while walking. He was much peppier and happy to walk another couple miles. We'll definitely be back!
Took our girl to Wag N' Wash for the first time. It was an amazing experience and can't stop raving about it. The staff is super friendly and informative. Very helpful during the self wash process. We adopted our girl in May and she's very scared of all things new. She specifically has issues with touching her front paws. They had Carly come in and she was able to trim her nails with ease. We will definitely be back!
This pet store is excellent! They offer a wide range of products and supplies, and their Self-Wash stations are simply amazing. They provide everything you need to give your furry friend a professional-quality bath, without the hassle of doing it at home. The stations are clean and well-maintained, and the store provides high-quality shampoos and conditioners to keep your dog looking and smelling great.
We just went here for a self served dog wash today for the first time, glad to finally get rid of the stink of my dog who’s been busy rolling in mud all week. The wash is easy to use and convenient. The owner is too kind! We just moved to Seattle so we are glad to find such a nice pet store definitely a great first impression. We will be back for future purchases for sure!
I recently got a new puppy and went into Wag n Wash to get some food. The place was really nice and the people were incredible. A groomer brought out a dog that looked amazing and I met the groomer, Zach. I booked an appointment and all I can say is WOW! An amazing groom, best I’ve ever seen. Zach is amazing although I hear everyone there is fantastic. Highly recommend!
This is by far the best pet store I have EVER been to. Drew is the best and even more knowledgeable than my vet. He was able to help find solutions for my cat’s health problems that have been going on for years. The food/treats I bought are half the price of the expensive prescription food I was buying prior and have much better ingredients! Highly recommend.
Quality is not what it used to be. I was very satisfied with the way they groomed my dog and even recommended my co workers to bring their dogs here. Last time I brought my dog, not only it was not what I asked for, instead they trimmed the hair down to something not even consistent. I am leaving pictures of their work before (3 months ago) and yesterday's.
These guys are amazing!! Every time I go I'm so pleased with the service and the selection. There's a toy for every pup, great bulk treats, pet supplies, advice, and the self wash is such a fun treat! The staff is amazing. They're always so nice to my puppy and I always leave with some super helpful new tips or tricks to make life with a puppy more fun.
We've been going to Wag N' Wash for years with our pup and it's our go to one stop shop! Our doggie gets his bathes, nail trims, food, toys and treats all taken care of at this amazing store. The facilities are tidy and clean and the owners and staff are wonderful! We are truly blessed to have such a gem in the heart of our QA neighborhood!
I love these guys. The toys are awesome, the staff listens & the wash is perfect. The stalls aren’t too high but can hold a Great Dane. I love the soap & water mix so you only have to hose them down twice not three times! My guy even let the clip his nails a job usually reserved for the Vet. Keep up the good work.
I took our 10 month old standard size Labradoodle and our 8 year old Havanese for full grooming today. Catt did an amazing job and they both look fabulous! I am really impressed with the friendly staff, great communication, and efficient timing. I will be switching from our prior groomer of many years to here.
Drew is an amazing employee! He was successfully able to clip our anxious dog's toenails this week and we are so thankful. We've been trying for years and even has the vet prescribe anxiety meds last month (didn't help.) But wow- Drew can work some magic! We will definitely be coming back here.
Staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. They are super knowledgable about pet food and special dietary restrictions and helped find a good alternative for my cat who doesn't always digest certain foods and has a weight issue. We are already 2 pounds down in a month and she loves her new food!
Great stop for a walk in nail grind or clip. They also have a great selection of food, treats, toys, and made to order baked goods for your furry friend. The self serve dog wash is the true hero of this shop. It makes the process of bathing and drying your dog much easier than the home tub.
Always a wonderful and consistent experience when visiting for baths, treats, and dog food needs! My dog Storm absolutely loves stopping by and saying hi to the team there. A big thank you to the Wag and Wash team for all your help over the years and being the best spot for DIY baths :)
The staff went above and beyond with helping me find the right food for my 4-month old kitten! He was having stomach issues and they provided me with not only a lot of tips, but threw in some free probiotics and pumpkin on top of the new food I was purchasing. Awesome establishment
I really love this groomer - they’re super easy and convenient because they do walk in nail trims! They also did a good job the last time I came in over a month back. I also think it’s a great store in terms of the selection of treats / toys / chews. Would strongly recommend them.
I have an 80lb lab, bending over to bathe him in the bathtub at home is literally a pain. The raised wash tubs and drying platforms allow an old git like me to have a nice clean boy. Worth every penny. Bonus, the pet supply shop is well stocked and staff is super nice.
We were devastated when our go-to neighborhood dog wash closed. We reached out to Wag N' Wash and they were incredible! Highly recommend. Both our miniature schnauzers looked great after their grooming and the staff was so friendly and kind! Highly recommend!!!
We loooove wag n wash. We take our dogs here from time to time for a nice bath and a nail trim. They have such nice shampoos and conditioners so when we leave the dogs are so silky and soft! They have a good selection of collars, leashes, toys, and treats too.
This is my favorite Self Dog wash station! As a dog owner, I found myself with the struggle about where to go. This is a friendly customer service place and impeccable. I struggled to find a place that had everything in one, and this is the place!
Had our dog groomed here (Arc) and the cutter was so nice and friendly, and did an amazing job with grooming our golden retriever. Wasn't used to tipping for this (from Japan) so I felt bad as I probably didn't tip enough. Definitely recommend!
Can’t recommend Carly at Wag N Wash enough. It’s not often you can find a groomer who does cat grooming, it’s even more rare to find a good one! My cat is a long haired white ragdoll so her fur can been very difficult to work with but Carly
Love this place! We just went for our first time. Staff were friendly and helpful in acquainting us with the wash and dry process. We have a large, hairy dog and they were accommodating with extra towels and all the hair all over. We did
The cuts look good, the location is convenient, but my dog keeps coming back traumatized. After a visit to the groomer, she spends days curled up in the tiniest ball, ignoring voice commands and refusing food and treats. It's happened on
I think the self service dog wash is overpriced. There is another place in town that does the same for about half. My dog is 20lbs and we pay the same as someone with a big dog. Also, I found the staff to be helpful, but once we had the
love these people!! the kindest owner and employees. got both of our dogs fitted for their winter booties❤️ also a great selection of foods, treats, and toys. have been recommending them to all my friends with dogs here in seattle! …
This is my go to self serve dog wash place. It's so easy to take my large dogs here and easily get a nail trim at the same time. Staff is friendly and helpful. Even though I moved out of queen Anne, I still go here for the washes!
Pretty nice place. Very clean and well organized. They put then soap in with the water. Thusbis different for me, but I can get on board. I just wish they had ear cleaning supplies. Cleaner and cotton balls would be helpful.
I take Molly to get groomed by David and am always happy with the result. He gives Molly the perfect Aussie haircut. David is accommodating as well, he's come in early just to fit her into his already packed schedule.
We love going to Wag n’ Wash for our dog’s grooming and nail trims. The Queen Anne location is so convenient, and the staff are also so great with our Sam! We love the reward program, and always feel so welcomed here.
Kat was wonderful! I’m new to the city and was so nervous bringing my dog somewhere new. Kat was so kind and so good with my dog! She gave her an adorable haircut and my dog seemed so happy afterwards. Thank you Kat!
Parking is super convenient (in a garage underneath the store); rarely have to wait to use the tubs to bathe our dog; lots of great treats to choose from after the bath. Staff are friendly and great with the hounds!
Carly has done an excellent job grooming our standard poodle! Also, the price for his grooming with a few add-ons at Wag N’ Wash is still less than any other place we have taken him, and the quality is even better.
We've taken our chihuahua here twice since moving to Fremont in the last year and we LOVE it!! Drew takes amazing care of our sweet 6lb senior boy...❤ We highly recommend taking your pets here! Thanks Drew!!! …
Took the dog there for a self wash. Super friendly staff walked me through the facilities. They supplied the soap, shampoo, towels, drier. For $20 seemed reasonable given dog was filthy from dog park.
Super helpful staff. Clipped my dogs nails with efficiency and was really nice to my dog. I also used the self wash facilities. Much easier than home and all the fur is not my problem:)
Everyone there is always so kind when dealing with my 2 geriatric dogs!! I know how hard it is to cut their nails, so I appreciate the staff so much for being so patient with them.
Anna is the only groomer to do what we had in mind when we asked for an English mullet cut. She patiently tweaks the cut to get it just right. She gets the memo— gold star ⭐️
Got our baby Groomed here. She looks Amazing! Came back super happy. I can always find the food I need and more information on products if needed. Always a pleasure.
Holly is a godsend! I love how cute and clean our puppy emerges after a groom or bath with her! So happy and grateful to have her as our groomer! ❤️ …
I can understand why they book months in advance for their grooming. They always do a great job. I really appreciated Anna’s attention to detail.
Great place to wash your dogs. Their fur buster shampoo is the best! Parking can be a challenge. Whish they had a location in Snohomish county!
I love this location! The team here is incredible. Maddy is exceptional and my grumpy 12 year old pup Colby Jack trusts her to cut his nails!
I have used wag n wash to give my pup a bath several times. Always super clean and staff is very friendly and helpful.
Friendly staff and a fantastic selection of pup food, goodies, and many other essentials and services! …
Friendly helpful staff and love the bakery! Used the self serve dog wash and it was easy and convenient!
