I had the BEST experience I have ever had at ANY Walgreens on 16th Street and Thomas Rd. The hospital discharged my wife and advised us to go to a specialty pharmacy to get the med. I called the normal one I have my Rx at, and they referred me to this location. Got there fast only to find out the med was $600. I had no clue why the hospital would Rx a drug that HAS to be taken on time (next dose was in 3.5 hours) and send me to optimum Rx and all they do is ship - talking Saturday!? I got so upset mentally, just makes no sense. Heart surgery here. But ok, the ladies however, at 16th and Thomas TOOK the time, researched what my options were by talking to me, answering questions and using their expertise - BOTH ladies. I called optimum, they REALLY tried hard for me but the Ins company was closed. NOW I'm mad, but that doesn't help. These ladies went out of there way, worked with my wife, got a coupon for the med instead and I paid a SUBSTANTIAL discount - I had to do some legwork, but I did that in the parking lot. These two ladies were awesome, and though I forgot there names, when my wife gets better, I'm taking BOTH of them to dinner with their loved one. Means that much too. The hospital my wife was in didn't even treat us that dam nice. So ladies, I'd you read or get wind of this, I'll be back to really thank you. Ppl, I drove across town for heart meds that the hospital couldn't fill themselves, told to call a specialty place for a drug she needs every 6 hours and all they do is deliver. They didn't send her home with anything. Ladies, you made extremely emotional to the point that I had to pull over and respect the other drivers on the road so I could release my frustrations in tears and thank the Lord for looking out for us. I don't care how much it cost, but the insurance didn't cover it so..whatever but I was NOT going home empty handed. I can't, I couldn't. And they just.. they did right by some average Joe thru the drive thru. Thank you for realizing my pain, frustration, disbelief in how the hospital handled a heart patients most important meds - absolutely incorrect directions. But Walgreens handled it and did it with pride and I left with my wife's meds and my dignity an hour later. If not for them..smh.. I APPRECIATE you both so much, and I can't thank you enough Walgreens for having employees like this on your staff. I will PROUDLY transfer my meds and drive across town just to have that type of professionalism, humanism..not robots or ppl that don't communicate well. Thx ladies for a great end of my day ladies.

Be aware that the pharmacist singlehandedly decides your prescription fill dates, regardless of the due date the doctor has written. Say you have a 30 day supply due on june 1, so you call it in, but you cannot physically pick it up until june 3. Your next script is due july 1, but they will not fill it until july 3, because you picked up your last one after the fill date. It does not matter if you are on a strict dosage schedule or if the meds are essential, you will go 3 days without your script because the pharmacist holds the exclusive the power to make those decisions, regardless of what you, your doctor or insurance company says. UPDATE this is no longer a Walgreens but a shell of one that used to be. They turned it into a clinic and you have maybe 2 aisles of random products- that’s all. Drive to 7st/mcdowell instead. This place is also filthy dirty and kind of scary with drug users hanging out. But I guess that’s the entire area that we live in these days.

I give this Walgreens Pharmacy a one (only because I have to so I can post my comment) star rating! I have had lower back pain that requires surgery and have been on Oxycodone for 8 years now and my pain management now electronicly sends my scripts there and it was 5 days to early to fill my Oxycodone witch was fine. But on my fill day I call and the pharmacist tells me it will be ready in one hour. I arrive to pick up my meds and the tech tells me they are out of stock and try us back at 4pm is when the truck will be in. Now its 4pm and I call and they say sorry we will have it in stock tommorow. Unbelievable they get my prescription five days earlier you would think they would order enough to have in stock to fill on my fill date. So now I got to wait 36 hours with no pain medication because of poor customer service and not mention very rude people that work in this pharmacy. Never again will I send my scripts here.

Well.. last time had great customer service, this time seems like every other pharmacy, terrible service- after I decided to switch to using them now(better rethink this) Doctor sent the RX last week, according to the automated system they still didn’t have it a week later, so I called the doctor only to confirm twice it was sent. After a long hold on the phone finally spoke to someone ONLY to find out they have it but haven’t filled it because they don’t have current insurance info. How about Calling your customer last week when you received the RX!! What ever happened to customer service? Well this Walgreens not only dropped the ball on customer service when the doctor sent the RX, but were very rude on arrival to pick it up Also! It wasn’t ready, and I was asked to leave and come back even though they had the RX sitting there since last week. It is unbelievable how they can treat customers!

Zero stars. I just came back from the Walgreens tonight and I just witnessed the girl at the Photo register as well as the manager very rudely snap at this guy for going back in a place he didn't realize he wasn't supposed to be. Apparently he had been misinformed by another person in the store and then he was rudely scolded by these two ladies. His face was in shock and I really felt bad for him and he was shaking his head. It's not OK for management or the girl at the photo register to be yelling at people like that. I was in disbelief and I was so upset. You don't get to talk to other customers like that and I don't want to witness you being rude to other people in the store. He didn't deserve it. I'm not coming back to this Walgreens again even though it's close to me.

I didn't even know a pharmacy could be this horrible, doesn't at least the pharmacist have to have a clue? - Pharmacy randomly closed outside of noted hours with a line of people in front and our back. - Pharmacy staff in the store giggling in the aisles as if there isn't a line of people angrily glaring. - Didnt attempt to fill my script before prompting, came back when they told me to 2 hours later and was told to come back in half an hour. Good thing I don't have back pain and am depending on those meds! - Trash and broken branches around the property just avoid this one at all costs. Shame on Walgreens for allowing this.

I would like to commend Ossy, the pharmacist at this location., I had to relocate my meds to this place, because my Walgreens closed temporarily, without notification. I requested refills on my online account, somehow it took longer than usual to process. After a week and running out of my lifesaving med, I called the location and explained my situation to Ossy, she was concerned and caring, compassionate, knowledgeable and responsive. Before the end of the day, she called me back and had my meds ready! I was so happy! We need more of these professional compassionate pharmacists. Thank you Ossy!

When the pharmacist and staff at this location interfere with access to a prescription by delaying, changing, or refusing to correct a prescription in which the pharmacists made an error after a provider has sent it in - Correctly - THREE TIMES, it is time to contact the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy and file a formal complaint. I will also file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and the Arizona Attorney General's Office with my concern for unsafe handling, distribution, and consulting about medication and controlled substances to the public. Please consider doing so.

I live right down the street from this location and I'll avoid this one now. The woman working the front this morning was rude and honestly acted like she was better than everyone else. Didn't say more than two words to me. It was like she automatically did not want to help me. Interesting. Told her I didn't want a receipt and handed it back to her her response was to go put it in the trash over there. Very very rude and mean attitude towards me right off the bat.

  • Alyssa Thompson

Only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because the front end works are usually decent. EVERY time I’ve waited in the drive through I wait between 10-30 minutes to be serviced. I was the first one line once and waited and waited for 15 minutes before someone came to the window. I’ve waited 30 minutes with 2 people in front of me. I understand a short wait and if they are busy, but this happens every single time.

This place is bad, right by my house customer service is horrible. The pharmacist and the tech were making fun of people using the drive thru, than tech to pharmacist to help me, comes over to help is Curt and brisk, issue with script.... Seems like he (pharmacist) hates his job. Had to Wait for second script, heard them trying to get next customer to go to CVS, but customer refused.... Will not be back

  • Tanna Masters

The cashier did not know how to use coupons from my phone and she just would not have anything to do with it. Very unprofessional. And rude. I'll be back to talk to someone about her tomorrow. After that I think I go to the Walgreens to the west. 16 st cashiers some should not be working with the public.. Maybe they need to look into some better customer service training.

Super sketchy Walgreens to go to. Especially as a woman in the daytime or at night I feel very unsafe! Lots of homeless/druggies hang out outside the store. I try to avoid this one. The pharmacy line for drive up is also ridiculous to wait in. My aunt once waited almost an hour and they had no clue what they were doing.

  • Melissa Luttrell

Always helpful staff and well stocked clean store. They close before they are supposed to though. When they close early, it makes patrons like me have to go elsewhere, like the crappy Walgreens on 36th st and Thomas. Not happy they closed an hour early tonight. Dealing with crappy Walgreens shenanigans

A small corner store on 16th st/thomas. Its a confusing layout to other walgreens i have been to. The pharmacy is adequate. It is quite security conscious due to the area. I would not feel too safe going alone there despite parking lot at entrance being well-lit in the pm and a busy cross-street.

  • Charlie Lindstrom

How many times can a pharmacy screw up the same thing over and over? I'm so sick of them. CVS was better but my new insurance doesn't allow me to use them anymore. Walgreens clearly paid someone off so they could give their customers the shaft with an "I DON'T GIVE A *UCK ATTITUDE" employees

  • Cal Lind

There is a great pharmacist at the location on 16th St. in Thomas. She is the best. She makes you wait, talks down to you even make your doctors for you also. Because if she falls it’s not right then is wrong and destroys it. All around bad pharmacist, staff is nice.

  • Karla Martinez

I used to love shopping at this location but it has changed. The store seems a lot smaller since they added a small clinic and well customer service was fair by some of the employees. I will only shop there if I really must when in at PC hospital.

  • Christa Taylor

The worst pharmacy in town. Staff is incredibly rude. I got a call my meds were ready, I get there and now they don't have either in stock. The meds got called in early I won't get my medication until tomorrow. I have pneumonia this is not ideal.

  • evelia Najera

The staff is always nice and polite! The store is ALWAYS CLEAN AND ORGANIZED! Products are on the pricier side but it is worth the price better than walmart or family dollar where ppl are rude and unorganized. Always enjoy coming im to walgreens

  • Gerald Boling

This is a fantastic store. The People here are amazing. They know our names, they know our kids names. Customer service is above and beyond. The Pharmacy staff us outstanding as well. Always very helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you guys/gals!

  • Desombra Shamloll

Worst walgreen pharmacy .. I’ll never send a prescription there again. Don’t understand why I couldn’t have my sons prescription . I’ll never go back to this location. Rude as hell pharmacist. My doctor called two hours before I went to get

If I could give it a zero definitely would it.. come on it has 2.8 need to say anymore about this place?! They don't care about your health and well being. Was waiting in line lady just closed the blinds on the outside while I was in the

  • Theresa Ramsey

I tried to get them to transfer a prescription for blood thinners from our small town pharmacy. Of course I had to call them to see if they had done it yet and the person who answered the phone claimed that I gave them the wrong pharmacy

  • Diandra M

I'm pregnant with twins and just started on insulin for the very first time, when I picked my insulin up last night I asked the pharmacist how to administer it....he told me "Honestly I don't know, look it up online" seriously Walgreens?

  • Angelica Felty

The worst customer.er service EVER. I was discharged from the hospital, went for my prescriptions and they refused to hand them to me. I've been a Walgreens customer for 15 years and never have I ever been asked for 3 forms of ID. I am

  • Cassandra Rico

The pharmacy is never open at this location. I have had appointments for covid shots, received reminders and when I show up no one is there. So unprofessional as a corporation they need to do better.

  • pia safford

The heavy set lady with glasses in Cosmetics Department is down right rude. The cashier doesn't seem to know the limit on using the tide special at 99 cents. I would not recommend shopping here.

  • Karen Couch
