The Staff is all top notch. Especially the Pharmacy. They are very aware of me personally and have been of great assistance staying on top of meds I need to be taking daily to stay healthy. It's very comforting to know they are knowledgedable and will warn me if doctors miss some conflicts in what is prescibed and the are great in finding alternative brands and generics in case of insurance problems. The whole store staff is top notch and often point out major savings and sales for their shoppers. The store does lack for enough store brand items and many food items other large Walgreens have. I do not understand why corporate Walgreens does no expand this much used outlet on this busy area on Polk Street @ California among so many residents, businesses and transportation crossroads. They could easily double the size of their store. I frequently go there for needed items that are advertised in their ads have run out not replaced for days. Some major item adveryised often just are not able to be brought to their smaller storage areas.

Bad experience in this store. I understand they must be robbed on a daily basis but they suspected me of being a robber when I've been buying here for years : they described me on the loud speaker and 2 employees kept following me in a not so subtle way. Apart from that unpleasant. Event, They lack fruits and fresh food, they are not so great with the "three's a crowd" concept leading to a longer waiting line. Update as of January 2019: they have improved their waiting line and they have more fresh products.

They apparently don’t want customers. I walked in with no mask on (it’s sorta back some places inforce it others don’t). But I don’t have a problem wearing a mask you just would think for being Walgreens a “wellness” store you would offer masks…everywhere else does. As a business the smartest thing you can do is make a way for customers to enter your store. If you have the ability to make that possible do it. I would of spent 1000x the cost of a disposable mask, get it together I went somewhere else.

I would like to take a moment and give a huge shout out to Manuel at Walgreen's Pharmacy (Walgreen's # 00887) at 1524 Polk Street, in San Francisco I was stressed out about running out of medication and had issues with my insurance. Manuel took time to learn about my problem, suggested a solution, and he was able to lift enormous stress off my shoulders. Thanks Manuel and his team member who were able to help me. Really appreciate it, guys, thanks a lot! your customer! P.

Each time I go to pick up my medicine I got so frustrated there is always long line for people who came to get vaccinated and many of those people need extra care they don’t speak English and what make it more frustrated there is always one pharmacist taking care of this long nightmare line , I Always have to leave without picking up my medicine My question To the pharmacy management Why can’t you have 2 windows One for Pick up and the other for covid vaccine ? Thank you

I used to think this Walgreens was one of the better ones. This is no longer the case. The older security guard there is crazy. I saw him putting his hands on a shopper who had done nothing wrong. I hope he gets fired. He makes people feel unwelcome and shouldn't get physical with customers. Call 911 if you need to but don't get violent with customers!

Had what I needed, found quickly, helped quickly. Saw a nice show of a thief. Some woman trying to get her hands on things that don’t belong to her. They told her they saw and didn’t appreciate her trying to steal, got back what she was taking and let her go. Very professional people and nice. They didn’t even report it. #Handling it in-house

I came today and in walgreen there is always a problem . When I was waiting to the cashier there was somebody in front of me and suddenly a woman came with him with some stuff because he was waiting for her without nothing in his hand.this attitude is so mean and stupid :that prove the American mentality (so antisocial) Denis victor Sanchez

The pharmacy department pharmacist Tina W. was extremely unprofessional with me Condescending to say the least . When I gave her a manufacturers voucher given to me by my doctor she refused to fill and when I questioned her she said it was against the law ....... But the store is lovely other than that

Manager on duty wouldn’t move a few shipment totes to take a passport photo.. how about not putting Merch in front of the screen used to take passport photos. I worked for Walgreens for years, what a disappointment to see this type of customer service.. especially from a manager.

This has been my "go-to" store for years. It's not the largest Walgreens in the city (consider the location), but it has all the basics one would expect. The staff are friendly and helpful. I'm there probably two or three times a week to pick up "odds and ends." Great place!

i love this walgreens. been coming here since i was 18 and sylvia was my favorite. we would chat all the time. i also like squishing the marshmallows. everyone is so nice including jenny. she is also hilarious. i feel at home in this walgreens

Dirty and run down, rude Cashiers. Pharmacy is better but still in a run down neighborhood and store. I ordered online with a 2 hrs delivery guarantee and it took them more than 15 hrs to deliver. I avoid this store in the future.

Really fed up with everything locked up and waiting for someone to unlock what I want. I'm done with this nonsense. Have a problem with shoplifters? Hire more security and let paying customers buy what they want.

This is one of the worst Walgreens locations I've been to in the city. It's very dark and the staff isn't friendly. I had trouble finding the items I was looking for- I definitely won't be returning here.

Shopped at this location and find the only dependable department is the pharmacy. Customer service is horrible and extremely rude. Plan to move down the street to 2021 Polk Street location.

Good place to get basic groceries, this place is tourists friendly, good price and wide rang of products, just sign up into their program to get best prices, and discount.

Second visit and probably the last one too. The staff is rude and unfriendly, there is no reason to give attitude to someone who is just asking basic questions.

Very rude cashiers work there!!! You can be Chinese but you don’t have to be rude to customers. At least not in America. Be rude in your own country!
