Things were moving fast at this Walmart! It’s rare to be able to move at a brisk pace through one of these. I gather there are issues with loss prevention/theft, so I understand vigilance, but it’s worth mentioning that I - a white dude - was able to take a backpack with my own laptop and an Android phone and iOS device (all mine) into the store, back to electronics, and to the front without ever having to open the backpack to show its contents, get a receipt for its contents, none of the things I associate with vigilant Loss Prevention policies. So my experience of the store was great - I even (based on the reviews) made sure to check in with employees as I went in, went back and left, so as not to be hassled or stopped. No need, they said. So the choices are: their LP policies are being unfairly maligned, their LP policies are wildly, unpredictably inconsistent or they’re racially profiling aggressively enough that it can be observed just by looking at their Google Maps reviews. Curioser and curioser. If I read anything about them in the paper re: racial profiling I’ll obviously change my 4-star review to 1, but at least until then, my experience here was great!

I had to get in and out quickly because my ride would be waiting and was in a hurry. I am a left leg amputee, so I also needed an electric cart. Just as we were going to park by the door to get one, I saw a younger, male employee riding one back in from the parking lot. We tried to get his attention gently, but he didn't hear, so we honked and I shouted. The poor guy looked startled and I wasn't sure by the look on his face if he was irritated or what. I apologized for the abruptness of my voice and told him I needed the cart. His countenance completely changed as he brought the vehicle closer and asked me if I needed any other assistance. He stayed until he was sure that I was secured and okay. That not only was a good light on Walmart, but on this fine young man, who knew the kind way to behave when faced with such a scenario. I wish all Walmarts had better training when it comes to their handicapped customers.

It's Walmart it has its good days and then has the ones that make me want to pull my hair out. Yes they usually have everything you need for a reasonable price . Sometime the clientele and the poor customer service makes it just not worth going. You get what you pay for. And since they close early ...11:00 they are very inconvenient to shop at. When you are a busy hardworking person who has to work during the day and only has free time at night they are useless. I feel they discriminate against night people.. Houston is a very large city. It is very hot during the day during most of year. Walmart has lost 99% of my business because of their early closing. Poor customer service and disrespectful clientele are more prominent in day hours.

A very negative experience at Walmart, located at 2391 S Wayside Dr, Houston, TX 77023. I arrived, waited for a passenger at the main entrance without obstructing traffic, but a security staff member, a woman, said parking was not allowed. I explained I wasn't parking but waiting for a passenger. She repeated that parking was prohibited. I tried to convince her that my stop was temporary and didn't disrupt other vehicles. In response, she rudely called me stupid. After addressing the supervisor, I received acknowledgment of the inappropriateness of such behavior but no apology. I consider such treatment of customers unacceptable. The incident occurred on November 30th at 4:45 PM.

Curbside pickup need a lot of work. Because this store is in general closest to home, I sometimes order from here. It ALWAYS takes a very long time, so prepare to waste your gas. Although the guys are very nice. I suggest that you get out of your car to check that you have all the items that you ordered. I was missing 4 things and had to wait an additional 25 minutes to finally get all of them. OR I could’ve gone inside myself to request a refund because they couldn’t do it in this department. I have now been here 50 minutes for 5 cases of water, 2 packs of soap and a thing of Clorox cleanup. Guess I’ll be going back to Yale from now on. Ridiculous!

Scheduled an appointment to get my tires changed ahead of time. Showed, up and was told I was not in the system. Why would walmart have the option to schedule an appointment if they don't get saved? The old guy who attended me was rude as hell too. I heard another lady tell someone over the phone it was first come, first serve over the phone. After having to argue with the old worker, he finally got a manager. The manager told him to put me on the list. There's a lot more that happened but I'm too stressed to be typing everything!!! Just avoid this place if you are trying to do anything done to your vehicle!!!

I went to this store since we are new to the neighborhood and for my family it was the worst experience ever. The store greeter Sabrina made a comment to my son who is 10 yrs old and expressed that what she said was very racial. When I confronted her she just laughed. The store manager wasn’t there and I tried calling for over a week but no response. I went the following weekend and spoke with the front end manager and she expressed that she would discuss it with her manager. People like this should not be working at a place where all ethnic people shop. My family will no longer shop there.

I shop here quite often they have recently remodeled a couple of departments inside the store the customer service center workers are helpful sometimes it seems they always are trying to make your return item experience difficult floor workers are helpful pharmacy is quick and affordable sometimes the fruit isn't fresh as it should be and they criminally profile you and follow you around the store but get offended when you suggest that they help you push your cart and pick out items then that's when they are super busy all of a sudden or they've lost their ability to comprehend .

Worst Walmart ever. The inside is disgusting, unorganized, and unlabeled. The only 2 lanes are usually full, which slows down the self checkout. If you pickup, don’t check in on the app, it’s pointless. You’ll be waiting around watching everyone else get there groceries. Call and be prepared to wait while they actually send someone to collect your items from the shelves. And don’t even think of getting it delivered, most of your items will be forgotten or stolen by the driver. And you will have to wait a few days for a refund, or argue for 90+minutes for an in store gift card.

This is the worst place to go get an oil change!!! Don’t go to them they will mess up your car and not care to fix it!!!! They will supposedly start a claim and give a claim number but no one will reach out to you! you literally have to bug them or call every single day! Even after that, they will say you will get a call in the next 24-48hrs but it’s A LIE!!!! You literally have to follow up once 48 hrs pass now they bring up something about you have to wait 30 days! Who has time and money to wait 30 days with NO CAR because their auto repair center can’t do their job right!

I was absolutely shocked at the amount of selection this store had. They had every type of cookie, crackers, meat, beans, bread, and it seemed everything else available! I really really was impressed. It’s a massive store. Also, the lady that checked me out was incredibly kind and was very personable with everyone she was checking out asking questions. I would reach customer service very highly! This was a fantastic experience while shopping at Walmart. If you’ve had bad experiences in other Houston area Walmarts, give this one a try. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Good deals! But some of the workers are very rude and hateful for absolutely no reason at all. There is no need to take out their anger on customers. It's not all of them because alot of them are very sweet and helpful. Just a select few who are obviously very miserable people because just why!? Kindness costs NOTHING! I come here all the time and it's usually a nice experience (as nice as a Walmart shopping experience can be lol) and they are so welcoming and helpful.. it's just a few that should obviously not work with people like this on a daily basis.

Jesus take the wheel. This location reminds me of Walmart in the valley by the border. Keep your head on the swivel. You can't get out of the car before you are bombarded with people selling stuff. Workers are hiding and dodging you. The inventory online doesn't match what the store has. The worker told me the store has a high theft rate. However, I noticed in HBA the only high profile camera was in the African American product area... yet the store in almost all Hispanic. They should shut this location down. I am no longer doing business with them.

Went here to go shopping and got a flash drive which was inside a case, nobody was around to open the case for awhile on a friday and when we did find the woman we tried to tell her it wasn't her fault it was locked up but it was upsetting we couldn't find someone to open the case for so long when we paid for the item, she rudely snatched the money from my husbands hand and started mumbling under her breath. she acted like a child because she had to do one little part of her job. I left and decided to not even shop there anymore.

DO NOT GET YOUR TIRES CHANGED HERE, went to get tires changed got the info to change tire due to a flat they didn’t have the tire so just got asked to get the spare tire in, they said it was gonna take 30 to 45 min, mind you they are only working on one car and there is 3 people working !! No one came to help 45 min past and they started working on another car even though I came before that car, I literally had to buy the supplies and do it my self. Worst place to get your tires changed never again

Just bought this dress for a steel 5 bucks totally contour value and got another few fines that I was glad to get The only disappointing thing is it was the first Walmart I've ever encountered that does not have a dressing room they also had large variations of very specific products that were completely out of stock which is definitely not like what you would expect to find in Walmart. There were definitely busy enough to have enough clients there but it was no kind of special sale so what gives?

I always try to go early in the morning. Usually I am able to find what I need. However, lately it seems they are either not restocking or out of anything. I needed a sweater for my son. It HAS to be navy blue (per school regulation) and they had none. Racks were empty. Or there were none his size. The times that I do go late in the day there are NEVER enough registers open. There are so many people waiting to check out. It's frustrating.

This store specifically reminds me why I don't shop grossmarts. Bought a keurig only to discover it was already used and put back on the shelf the next morning. My husband carried it from the truckstop across a busy road to return it. The gentleman who greeted him was laughing as he told him he watched him and that customer service didn't open until 8am. Thank you for reminding me not to waste my money or time with any Walmart.

My partner and I spent our first Christmas together this year; we could not go all out since we were airbnb hopping around Texas, but we managed to make it our own. Thanks to Walmart of course! Not going to lie, the Christmas aisles were a mess but after 60 or so minutes (+- 23 seconds), we found what we needed. Merry (belated) Christmas y'all and have a blessed day

I get my prescription glasses from Walmart only due to the reasonable prices and thanks to Ms Juliette J. this was one of my best visits/ experiences she was absolutely a blessing to me I thank God for her great positive energy she made sure I got want I needed with warranty for a reasonable price God bless her she deserves a raise she’s amazing at her job

I don't find it very useful that they have so many self checkout and only 2 registers that accept cash I liked how it was before but now it's like you have to have a card in order to shop here on the other hand many workers are just walking around the entrance of the store and some lady will just yell at you saying we don't do cash.

I waited 10 minutes for someone to come unlock the jewelry case for me. I asked multiple associates for assistance, pressed the red button that Is supposed to bring someone over, and I waited for quite some time and I never got help. What's the point in even having a jewelry case? This always an issue at this Walmart.

Not enough cashier... Too many unhelpful employees... I stopped going to Walmart, because it feels like a job. Shop, hunt items down, because staff won't help, just pass you off to another person, check out your own groceries, bag them, just to wait in a line for a receipt check and too many self checkouts.

Anytime you call the store for assistance, no one answers. Online shopping/car pickup is extremely slow, no efficient and normally take longer than expected to receive your order. They are ALWAYS low in stocks. Drive down a few miles for BETTER QUALITY OF SERVICE, it's worth the gas and time!!!!!

It's sad when you go into a store and there are items on shelves that were torn into and parts missing but still hanging on the shelves. They don't have anyone working in some of the departments but they have people standing at the exits and entrances doing nothing.
