Cute and easily accessible park in the middle of Ealing Broadway - much bigger than it looks on first sight. Beautiful during any season of the year and usually packed, unless there's a thunderstorm outside. It contains many different types of plants and trees throughout, benches with inscribed quotes, a couple of lakes with various kinds of birds chilling around and more. Walpole Park makes a great destination for a walk, chilling on the grass or by the lakes, going for a workout or just relaxing and eating during your lunch break. There are many different shops around the park (mainly towards the train station), so you'll be able to get a coffee or food or anything that works for you before - or after - your visit. P.S: on a fun little note, excellent location to play Pokemon Go by yourself or with your friends, take my word for it. (Photos from last August)

I visited Walpole Park last week and I was impressed by its beauty and history. Walpole Park is a 28-acre Grade II municipal park, situated in Ealing, West London. It was once the grounds of Pitzhanger Manor, the country home of Sir John Soane, a famous architect and collector. The park has many features to enjoy, such as a walled kitchen garden, a fish pond with fountains, a playground, a kiosk café and a learning centre. The park also hosts the Ealing Summer Festival, which offers music, comedy and cultural events. I especially liked the Regency-planted beds, which reflect the style of Soane's era. The park is well-maintained and has plenty of space for walking, relaxing and playing. I would recommend Walpole Park to anyone who loves nature, art and history. It is a hidden gem in London and a great place to spend a day.

Fantastic little part in a heart of Ealing. There places where you can eat and have a cup of coffee, easily can spend a good couple of hours here on your own or with family and or friends. Park would get all five stars from me if management did maintain it slightly better as there are lots of areas where weeds have overgrown etc.
Playground
There is a big playground at the back of the park suitable for ages 0 to 12
Restrooms
Restrooms inside of the coffee places
Dog-friendliness
Dogs are welcome
Picnic area
You are free to have a picnic anywhere in the park

What a stunning hidden gem this place is?! We couldn’t believe our eyes as we were simply walking through Ealing with a cup of coffee and stumbled across this beautiful park that was quite tucked away. The gardens were absolutely stunning with some water features around to add that added touch of wow! The park is so beautiful picturesque and we couldn’t stop taking pictures everywhere. Absolutely fell in love, highly recommend a visit...

This park is so wonderful, a brilliant local park with two little bodies of water. Perfect for walks or runs, or picnics when the weather is nice. There is a great playground for kids, there are some free public toilets, a little cafe, and a bandstand that has saved me from the rain many times. There is also a water refill station just outside one of the entrances, and it is very near Ealing Broadway, so perfect for getting some food.

Beautiful park all year round, the toddler area is sand and has mini wooden huts as well as slide, swing, boat and other playground obstacles for kids. The other side for slightly older children is gravel with bigger climbing frames and slide to have fun. These areas get very busy. There is coffee shop near by, lots of areas to have picnic in the summer. Overall its a lovely park.

A beautiful park with lots of lovely flower beds, an amazing playground which is suitable for all different ages of children. There is a pond, lots of wildlife around. A beautiful avenue of trees. The cafe is adequate and near the playground. Toilet facilities need work due to vandalism but all in all a very lovely park to visit... not to mention Pitshanger Manor Museum too!

  • Colsy1972

Walpole Park has a great play area for older children with large climbing area covered with gravel. For smaller kids there is an enclosed play area covered with sand. There is also a cafe for drinks and snacks. Seating is outside. Cafe serves you through a large window (perfect for Covid times). Park gets crowded on weekend afternoons so morning is a better time to visit.

I was so pleasantly surprised to discover this park having seen it on the map and passing nearby. Carefully landscaped and maintained, this is a lovely experience. From the pond with the ornate bridge to the walled garden and restaurant and on to the large house with art gallery this is one place where for which words are inadequate. It simply has to be experienced.

The best park in London, in my humble opinion. Fantastic festivals every Summer, premium children's playground, and many different bits and bobs to keep your walk interesting. Excellent size, nicely maintained, has 2 water features and water birds nesting. Getting married in Pitzhanger Manor and taking photos at the park later in May, wish me luck and good weather.

Walpole Park boasts a variety of facilities including kid's playground, kiosk café, historic wildlife interpretations panels, fish ponds with fountains and a serpentine lake. Beautifully landscaped Park homing the historic Manor House and Art Gallery. It also hosts community events such as the Ealing Summer Festival with live music and arts performances.

Beautiful park. I visited almost every day during my stay in Ealing. I especially liked the lake and the garden. Had lovely time reading books in various spots of the park. It has a corner for every taste. Livelier spots and more peaceful corners. The plaques giving historical and botanical info were a nice touch and fun to discover around the park!

  • Ann Presence

Walpole park: Different season revisited two years on. The park is as beautiful and busy as ever. The lungs for Londoners to relax in. Building work to the entrance is now completed and the gardens are a great place to relax in. The gardens are not too formal or fussy and are a pleasure to be in. Took more photos of this May season.

Great place to stroll, dog walk, picnic or relax by the duck pond. Good atmosphere for families with open children play area. Great for meeting with friends in a large open tree lined park presenting plenty of seating benches throughout amongst nice foliage areas. July sees Jazz, Blues, Comedy and Beer festivals in the park too.

The park is clean and tidy. There are public toilets. Sometimes there are special events in the parkwhich can be good for adults, kids or whole families. There is a decent cafe. It's close to the shops, so makes a good place to go for an outdoor picnic or to eat a take away on the grass. Kids playground is really fun and safe.

Walpole Park is one of the nicest parks in Ealing. It is about 28 acres, so it is perfect for your daily walking/running routine, or for a walk with your dog. The park had a small playing area for kids, but it needs to be increased. The park’s location is very good and near Ealing Broadway station and many bus stops.

  • Winston Lindsay

Rounding of Ealing jazz weekend was relaxing, calming, safe atmosphere and treating myself to variety food , drink although pricey most of all various food vendors, security, and staff keeping Park clean and tidy.

Nice park for a short walk. To walk around it it takes around 10-12 minutes. You’ll find here nice garden and impressive, big, tall trees. There is a cafe and there are free toilets for people visiting that park. From scale 0-10 I’ll give that park strong 6. It’ll be nice for 2-4 km run . …

  • Sarah Gh

It used to be a little lake near cafe suitable for little kids to put their feet in it but it was all dried when we got there last week. Also sand pit used to be clean now is full of sticks and sharp wood which hurt our kids feet.
Restrooms
It always close when we go there

  • Dánny Boy Smith

Beautiful! Nice coffee, lovely features, feels safe, shame the playground and toilets (revolting!) are not maintained better by Ealing council.
Playground
Needs better maintenance and cleaning.
Restrooms
Absolutely disgusting.
Picnic area
Loads of space

A good place is a sanctuary of inspiration, where the spark of creativity is ignited, and the boundaries of imagination are limitless. It's a destination that encourages us to explore new ideas, express our unique perspectives, and bring our creative visions to life.

  • Gerard Connolly

Comedy festival. Last 'comedian' resorted to swearing most of the time. Had to pay £1.50 for plastic beer cup that wasnt any type of souvenir. Beer £6.50 for unpleasant beer, so much good beer out there. Cynical profiteering.
Restrooms
Not enough porta loos

Nice clean park with children's play area for all ages. Different cafes and food options in and around the park, and just a short stroll from Ealing Broadway with its shops and restaurants. Plenty of parking and close to public transport. Great park for dogs.

  • Georgina T

Our puppy's favourite place to do zoomies. Well maintained especially after a weekend of sunshine when people treat the place like a dumpster. Appreciate the efforts to keep it a clean environment for animals to roam around without being hurt by rubbish.

  • Victoria Nikishina

Lovely park with a big playground, a small lake and only 5-10 mins walk from the hustling Ealing Broadway. There is a small cafe by the playground where you can get a drink and snack and ice cream in the summer time! Family and dog friendly.

  • Sonia H

Another great discovery during lockdown. Lovely open space with water features and a lovely cafe. Lots of places to sit and reflect. Also loved the numerous plaques and historical facts dotted around. Will definitely revisit.

  • Drago Indjic

Ealing's most popular park, extends all the way to Northfields. Enjoy pond, modern café, next to playgrounds and a local museum.

An historic setting retaining some original fabric and landscape feature restoration surely counts amongst London’s finest smaller parks ? A modern playground, kiosk, toilets, community centre, ponds, chestnut and lime

I am on the Ealing Beer Festival here, the atmosphere is superb, over 400 different beers, cider, wine, food-trucks with fair selection of meals. If you are not here now, you must regret it sooner or later....

  • Varsha Krishnan

Amazing park, right by Ealing Broadway and quite large. Has little ponds to look over and very quiet despite the bustling city being a stone’s throw away. All that’s left that it needs is a pond to swim in!

  • Shirley T

This is a lovely park in Ealing. Lots of nature and wild birds. Great to have a good walk for exercise and bring your pets. There’s a gallery at the entrance which you can go in to see some exhibits.

The Ealing blues festival was back, but they couldn't have everything that was there before Covid. That said £8 for a whole days music! You can't knock it. In all a great day.
