I phoned Wattyl paints today 09/09/22 and spoke to the store manager "Belinda". I asked if they could order me in some Wattyl colourwood stain. She said they don't stock the item so wont be able to order it without an item number. Fortunately I had the item numbers given to me by another store. She seemed very put out by this and took the numbers and said she would call me back. Twenty minutes later she called me and said the product doesn't exist and whoever I spoke to at Wattyl is wrong. I insisted that product does exist and asked her does she know how ridiculous that sounds when I'm staring straight at the product online?, her tone then became very rude and patronising, I asked her to stop talking over me which she refused to do, I told her I was going to complain as I didn't like the way she was talking down to me, her response was "no problem have a great day CHAMPION!". In contrast, I phoned another Wattyl store in Sunbury and spoke to a gentleman by the name of Andrew who not only managed to source the products for me but would also be figuring out a way to get the products to me!. I strongly suggest someone from higher management take a long hard look at the Craigieburn store as some of the staff there are incompetent and not fit to be working in customer service sadly.
The BEST customer service I’ve had in YEARS!! Spoke to leon at the front counter and he eased all my worries I had about DIY painting. He was incredibly helpful for recommending me all the products I needed for my bedroom, and I have to say that the QUALITY is bar none! if you need great paint at a great price, Wattyl Craigieburn is the spot!
