I've always liked West Portal station because of its unique design. Because it isn't completely underground or fully enclosed the cellular coverage is excellent (at least mine is) I catch a metro train to West Portal & transfer to the 48

I like west portal station from muni metro and the new muni metro.The station of the tunel is:forest hill station,castro station,church stasion,van ness station,civi center station,power station,montgomery station and embarcadero station

Quick ride to downtown. You can't take your bike on the trains, but you can park at the station and get downtown without having to go all the way over Twin Peaks.
