DO NOT GO THIS SHOP! The staff is mean and dishonest. In my first year at McMaster U, my 2009 Honda Accord has a knocking sound and show engine warning sign. I called CAA towed the car to this shop because google review mark is good. They said they will do a inspection and give me a quote later, it took them entire week to call me back, and they told me my entire engine is damaged and need to swap a used one from other used car, and the quote of parts plus labor is about $7,500 plus tax! I bought the car for only $8,000 and you told me need $7,500 to repair? So I decided to do the repair some where else, the staff told me I need to tow the car away immediately otherwise they will charge me high parking price. Then they started to suggest me to sell the car as part to them for $1000. I think that price is too low and start contacting other repair shop, since it's near Christmas most shop are not available to take any new car, then I came back to the staff and ask what's the highest price they can buy my car, the staff said $750! I was very shocked and asked isn't that $1000? The staff said they change their mind, and if I didn't sell the car to them or tow away, I'll be charge for $50 a day for the parking. That staff is mean, dishonest, bossy, he tried to use all the methods to let you take their unfair offer, back then I was just a first year student and been cracked by this terrible shop, sold my first car for only $750, manipulate by that staff.

Update - May/15th/2023: Still the best!!! I've been a customer for years. After a very poor experience at a lube shop a few years back, I 'woke up' and started having Westdale do my oil changes and maintenance as well. I've never been disappointed. Thanks Chris and staff. May/ 2022: This is simply the best shop I've ever had work on my cars. I've been a customer for a number of years now. This is my favourite anecdote: My Impala had a dead battery and I had CAA come by to boost it. The CAA operator said I needed a new battery. When driving it over to Westdale I noticed the car wasn't shifting normally. I reported all of this to Chris and headed home. I live nearby and yet I got a call within 30 minutes of arriving home telling me I could come and pick up the car. Chris informed me that I didn't need a battery that all they needed to do was clean the battery terminals. Once that was done he test drove the car and reported that everything was working fine. I happily paid their fee ( I think it was a 1/2 hour). I've always found Chris and the gang completely honest and straight forward. Their fees are beyond reasonable when compared to other shops I've dealt with. I recommend them beyond the highest rating here. Thanks Chris et al.

TL;DR amazing service, great price, genuinely friendly staff. I've never written a google review before and made this account just to post this. I brought my 2013 Audi A4 here after having an oil change done at a run of the mill shop in burlington. The engine sounded terrible and with the all the alarms going off I thought I was going to seize the engine getting the car there. Needless to say it would have been really easy to take advantage of my situation but Chris and the guys treated me really well, showed me all the issues (shop in burlington removed the dipstick cap and lost it and didnt tell me, stripped the oil plug, and crushed the oil filter when putting it in) and fixed it all up for an incredibly fair price. Without a doubt I'll be bringing my business back here and would recommend anyone reading this to do the same!

My car has air suspension and it can be raised using a scan tool. It's been done by mechanics before. I brought it here because they said they would take a look at it but weren't able to raise it. Another shop had it fixed in under a minute. I feel like these guys don't have a clue. For the record it was just a 2003 Lincoln town car not some complicated German car. It's the exact opposite lol. Also a customer comes in looks at my car and says " this has seen better days " I just ignore him cause I don't want to say something I'll get in trouble for then he says it again lol. Dude is in his 60s, I thought older people were decent.. not here Terrible mechanics and customers!!

Dear Westdale Car Service, Who do you think you are? Giving quality information and services at a reasonable price! Where do you get off, doing everything in a timely and efficient manner and informing the customer about future recommendations. If can't tell I have nothing but good things to say about Westdale car services, from the customer service to the actual service done to the cars everything is quality. Honesty is a lacking quality in a lot of places though at Westdale it is a vision they have captured.

Needed to get a tire replaced, they did a great job on that however they also jacked the car up from the middle instead of one of the (many) jack points breaking our break lines in the process. We're lucky we lived close by since by the time we had driven the 2 minutes the breaks had gone from slightly soft to not working. They claimed no fault (and I don't think it was intentional) and charged a normal amount for the repair, should have gone elsewhere though since they caused the problem in the first place

Visited this place after recommendation from a friend to get a quote for high beam bulb replacement for my Elantra. The lady at the counter told she would get the bulb checked up first and give me a quote. Suddenly she ended up replacing the bulb without consent and charged me a whopping $45 for a 2 min job, even though i had asked her to give me a quote and then i would decide. Very bad and fraudulent customer service.

First time I went they severed my ABS replacing the tires and didn't fix it. Then they replaced my catalytic converter, but were really poor at communicating the price. First it was 600 parts and labour, then 1700. But the 1700 was the price of the part without tax and labour and I was not informed of that. So I showed up and had to pay 2200. Not good service.

Brought my dodge charger in with an exhaust leak on both sides and the part they replaced it with was awesome but unfortunately the welding wasn't the best. It was given to me still leaking so I brought it back to get patched up. Not a bad shop very friendly but maybe not the best place if you need welding done.

Just spent over $600 to NOT get my AC fixed. First they replaced the condenser, and after that was done, they said I needed a new compressor for $2000, but the part wasn't available. So I paid that money for nothing, since it's not worth fixing. I've had issues here before, but I won't have any more.

Very impressed the owners, Kim and Chris are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The quality of repair is exceptional. When you take your car in it’s fixed the first time usually the same day this has become my regular mechanic and I have no intention of changing.excellent service!

Had a remote starter installed On my 2015 Hyundai. They don't install remote starters but as mine was a plug and play and made in Korea specifically for hyandai and Kia, Chris agreed to do it. Great service and pricing, As well as beig fast, efficient, and friendly.

They improperly installed the hardware for my front wheel rod replacement. Just had it fixed by a more reliable shop. In theory I should have went back to have them fix the issue but I dreaded having to deal with the tired service representative.

Chris saved me a fortune by properly diagnosing a persistent leak that the dealership was trying to gauge me on. Super down to earth and genuine service. These guys actually care...that's why they're busy and you might need to wait a day or two.
