We visited the Willunga Bakery for lunch and picked up some Sausage Rolls (3) for 2 Adults and a teenager. The staff didn't seem very interested in serving us and we had to tap on the counter and make it obvious that we were not happy about being ignored before someone decided to end their personal conversation and serve us. We left with 3 Sausage rolls - which turned out to be dry, greasy and tasteless. Dry, as in the when you take a bite, the pastry was hard and fell apart. Greasy, as in left a greasy coating on the roof of your mouth which was quite unpleasant and tasteless, completely devoid of any seasoning. These tasted like they quite possibly may have been frozen at some point in their life. I have had much better Sausage Rolls from the local supermarket (heated at home in the microwave) and from Petrol stations. I would not recommend and we will not be returning.
This place has really gone down hill lately. Was served by somebody at 8:30 in the morning, she seemed like she really did not want me to be there. That's ok everyone has a bad day. But there were only 4 options for pies available and the 'steak' and 'bacon' pie apparently contains some sort of pale grey/white meat inside of it. It was also undercooked and sticky and claggy and just gross. No steak was found, only glug. They used to make the best flakiest pies going around. I did not want to go and deal with Miss Sourpuss again so I just tossed it in the bin and added it to my list of places never to return.
We went to bakery Friday 3 April. We had 3 Disability client who can only eat a special meal as they have a swallowing deficit. We asked if they could please warm up 3 meals in microwave for them. Older lady after 3rd meal was given told us "they're not a heating station"!!! The rest of our group did order at bakery to support them. But was disgusted by the way we were treated and how they discriminated against our clients. They can't help it! We can't let them go hungry. Shame on you! I thought community support each other and the vulnerable.
On numerous occasions we have purchased baked goods from this bakery, as we like to support local businesses. The food is good, however the service is shocking. The older ladies who work there are rude, miserable, obnoxious and seem as though they hate their jobs. Today we walked in and the two people serving looked at us but continued their private conversation, finally they rudely asked what we wanted and proceeded to serve our food using their bare hands.. I will NEVER go here again.
So great to visit a country style bakery and bonus in the lovely historic town of Willunga. I tried a pasty - a cheese'n'veg one - omg the pastry was so melt in your mouth - loved it! Hubby loves this bakery too it's his go-to in-between jobs in the areas. My daughter loves the choc donuts - they are fluffy and soft. I tried a jam donut - was unfortunately way too much jam in it. Only downfall is hardly anywhere to sit and eat at this location.
Delicious pastries and sweets. We had the donuts, custard berlina, pies and sausage roll (there was a few of us lol!). The let down was the service. There was a lady working there who was short and a but rude with my wife and I which made us feel a little unwelcomed. I noted that she was also the same with another customer while I was there. Nice food and atmosphere but service let it down.
Like most country bakeries, they stock the usual fair. The taste is always flavoursome for the vegetarian selections of which I can only give comments. Their prices are on par with the rest in this trade. Staff are always friendly and welcoming....as you would expect from a country shop. Situated in the main street of Willunga, they are easy to find with plenty of parking available.
What's a nice little bakery in Willunga very old fashioned cuisine and traditional baking methods all the food here is beautiful and the service is good too is a good place to stop for a coffee and to relax on the way to Victor good too see and good to stretch your legs other options close by and particularly busy on weekends
Classic small town bakery but the pastry offerings can be really hit or miss. I’ve eaten some very ordinary pies from here but the sausage rolls and pasties are usually reasonably solid. Worth a stop if you’re starving but not the best bakery in the area by a long shot…
Has been a must visit destination for over 10 years! every time fortune smiles upon us and we find out selves in Willunga. All the good stuff is freshly baked and i have never had bad service, it is just a shame i can’t give more stars because they truly deserve them!
Sadly pastry used on the veg pasties has changed not as light and flaky as used to be, same with fruit filled pastries don't know what has changed with pastry. Their other goods have not changed and delicious as always
Used to be good. Don't know what happened. Either everything is undercooked or black meat. Had a potato pie and the potato tasted like a raw potato and the pastry was soggy. Hope they get their stuff together.
Hospitality is poor. We had their food and asked them for toilet keys. I saw them passing the key to another customer. They directed me however to use the toilet of a hotel in vicinity. Very judgemental staff
Extremely poor, orientation is around tourism and the portion size to cost was disappointing not much bigger than a party pie also for a public holiday and lunch time crowd was very little selection left
Traditional Australian bakery with some 1970's retro treats. Cinnamon scrolls were great however the heavy handed icing is better scraped off. The shop had a quaint retro shabby chic feel. Worth trying.
Went to explore Willunga and found this bakery. The food like the cakes was made fresh that morning. Had a nice cake and coffee. Recomend everyone to pop in. Staff are great and very friendly.
I just brought an apple pie, couldn't eat it, tasted ransed, something was wrong with it. Called to let them know, only an answer machine, concerned about others buying/getting sick.
Delicious pastries, the steak and Pepper pie, highly recommended. The pastry was perfectly cooked and the portions of steak were exceptional. Service was lovely too. Thank you …
Great Place To Stop By And Grab A Nice Little Sausage Roll With Sauce Which You Can Enjoy After A Nice Game Of Footy Or Netball At The Local Clubs. Great Food And Great Service.
Warm atmosphere inside. Seating outside available. Good selection of standard bakery sweets. I have offen found the pies and sausage rolls fairly lightweight and desiccated.
I went there in the morning for a quick bite, its a cute place but the service that I had was rude and the pies were dry with no flavors. Not going there again.
Freshly baked bread and lovely cakes. Good service

Always love coming to willunga bakery. Best pies ever. Lovely staff. Seating is a bit squishy and no eftpos are the only downfall
This is great value for money, the pies are tasty and massive as are the lamingtons, me and my family visit here a lot for lunch.
Was quite nice! Nice selection of goods and drinks all at fair prices. I'll happily stop by on my way through Willunga
Wet bottoms on my apple pie. Great custard slice. Very lousy coffee that needed a coffee sachet to make it drinkable
What a gem of a Bakery. Hidden in the main street and busy selling their wonderful pies pasties and cakes …
We had the Cornish pasty. We didn't eat it the same day but the day after and it was still so fresh and tasty
Yummy they have the best food! Such lovely staff work there, very friendly and nice! Would 100% recommend!
Look it's okay, but not a lot of cake options and nowhere to sit comfortably. What we did eat was nice.
Love love love all the food at this bakery it's amazing. Some staff a bit gruff but keep going back!
Stopped by for a coffee and a kransky, kransky was ok but coffee was horrible. Not going back there.
Quick and friendly service. Reasonable prices for everything. I enjoyed my quick stop with my kids.
My words cannot describe how amazing the food here is. Don't hesitate to come here for a bit to eat
Small, but just the place when it's cold outside. Actually, just the place to be in any weather!!
I had a chunky steak pie and a Cornish pasty with a bottle of ice tea for lunch delicious …
Pie was excellent, good vanilla slice. Cute little old bakery. Would definitely stop in again
Amazing food, good coffee, just walking by and smelling the air coming out made me hungry
Suprisingly Cheap and very good quality, always fresh and tasty. Highly Recommended
Great service friendly staff and the best steak @ kidney pies ln south Australia.
Amazing food, but catering wise, bang for buck, and quality, nothing compares!!
