I have been purchasing dinner, lunch, and etc from this location for the past few years, and today I would have to say i had the waste experience. After a long day at work i decided to stop by and get myself the usual large fry chicken dinner... The lady at the front was not welcoming, she had a Cranky facial expression, even to the point where in the gentleman that order after me greeted her and asked. How are you? She never responded, but instead WHAT DO YOU WANT TO ORDER in a rude manner. Anyhow, let me get to the point as to why I am writing this review. I ordered a large fry chicken, she rang me up for a curry chicken instead, then tried to pass it off as if I ordered the wrong thing, so I corrected her by nicely telling her that I ordered a fry chicken dinner and not curry. As she went into the back, we the three customers over heard the chef advising her to lock the door because he can not deal with this, and that she should ensure there is no more order for the night. The chef said: lock the door, no more food for the day, just lock the door so there is no more confusion about who order what, no more people. That kind of behavior needs to be corrected because this reflects poorly on the Jamaican culture, as if we do not know how to operate in a business setting.

The lady who works in the front is very rude. I visit almost everyday, I would go in and greet her warmly and tip very generously my first tip was $25 just hoping that she would at least be professional. Several times they messed up something but since I don't want to them to spit in my food I take it with a smile. Last week I went there got the wrong order. I don't eat curry so I gave it to a co- worker and went back to get what I wanted, this time I opened the bag to check what I received and low and behold it was wrong a gain. I kindly said to the lady there seems to be a mistake with my order, I ordered fry chicken not curry; she tried to tell me that I ordered curry both times. Instantly, she became aggressive and said they don't have any more fry chicken. So walked out. The woman with the glasses is obviously the owner and she doesn't care about customer service. I wonder why I put up with this so long. I guess you have to be ok with being treated like your begging or bothering someone to eat from this restaurant. Very sad that this has to happen in a Jamaican restaurant because I don't get this treatment at other Jamaican restaurants. Worst the food is not comparable to an establishment like Rasta Pasta down in Kensington Market.

I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN!!!! Dealing with a customers complaint should be handled with respect and I felt it was not handled in a professional manner. I'm a customer as well and I would never take a step to damage anyone's business, I'm sure that everyone would agree that now is not the time to damage or slander anybody's establishment. At least be respectful and own up to a mistake that was made. I saw "IT" in the food....we're human and errors happen. It was unfortunate that it happened to one of your loyal customers; however customer service needs to be improved. Carrying on and raising your voice at customer who has just simply brought to your attention an unfortunate incident or what have you doesn't sit well with me, this is sending the wrong message and just proves that there's something to hide. I wish you well.

One of the most annoying scenario is when you drive out of your way and past other cuisines just to go to this restaurant, you make a request and they fail to comply. Instead of explaining to you for whatever the reason is that they cannot accommodate, then you drive to your destination and open the food and see that they didn’t follow your request. Clearly all u guys care about is the money and have zero care for customer satisfaction. If u tell the customer that you cannot meet their needs then it gives the customer and option to make their OWN decision as to whether or not they will make the purchase or not. I don’t come here often enough but it happens every time. And every time I forget to check my food before I leave the store.

I visited Willy’s Jerk for the first time after hearing so much about it and I was NOT impressed. As with most Jamaican establishments the server was not gracious and did not seem like she wanted to be there. I asked questions about the day’s special and what was made fresh and inquiring about the sizes and ohh boy her screw face was so blatant. It was my first experience and she seemed very annoyed. When I finally mentioned it was my first time at the restaurant chain so I was unaware she was little more understanding. The food ordered was okay, nothing to rave about and needless to say that was my last time there. We need to do better as a culture.

Worst experience. Order chicken for a christening and less than 24hours the jerk chicken had slime and tasted funky. Called their head office to let them know the situation to have them tell me that its my fault, that my storage of the chicken in the fridge was not done properly, which to me makes no sense. In the end all the individual, with very poor customer service skills I must add, offered me a half jerk tray for a future event. I told her to keep her food and the money for I won't be ordering from again. Worst food experince ever! My advice to you all is to be very careful when ordering food from them because you don't know what you get.

Got a large curry goat here. Absolutely yummy!!! So why 3 stars..? Afro-Canadian customers seemed to not care about their environment, when I was there, none of them were wearing any masks at all. On my way out, a BMW driver came flying from Keele all the way directly to the front door of the restaurant(scared the heck out of me). Some low life around the plaza and the price point is a bit high. I’ve been buying lunch one by one from any of them to try support local, this is the only one so far that I paid $16 for a large, anywhere else (Carib?I tried was $13-14 Looking forward returning hoping for a better experience.

Purchased lunch from this location on Tuesday. Willys Jerk food varies from location to location. I must say the rice was cold and the chicken was dry. I ordered a medium fry chicken and got chicken back. What happen to the leg and thigh pieces of the chicken? Also this location is small within lobby space. The lady at the front needs to spend less time talking people business, and pay attention to how many people are coming into the restrurant at a time. From my recollection there is no sign on the door or Windows stating maximun amount of people allowed inside at once.

This casual and cozy place will provide you with a great shopping experience, offering tasty Jamaica food with most popular choices, very affordable (value), and friendly atmosphere. So you always walk out of this place, already "satisfied", even before starting to eat. For those readers who are already familiar with my personal evaluations, is no surprise that I tend to provide "room for improvement", so the businesses can have that incentive/ motivation to thrive in pursuing a step closer to perfection. This is the only reason for my 4 out 5 stars

Finally Jamaican food that taste like home. The only actual Jamaican food spots around the area. And good service too. Love it. Plus it is so affordable it's crazy.

I wa .s down this area to have Cataract Surgery at Clarity eye Institute. After Surgery I was hungry and saw this sign Willy's Jerk. We dedicated to check out the place. We ordered Medium beef soup, goat with rice & bean. The food was delicious just a little loose hand with the salt . We ordered a large Oxtail and medium cow foot to take back to Ajax/Whitby. The staff (Julie) and Chef (Demar) was so nice. I didn't get to meet willy. Definitely stopping in again after my second surgery in October.

Bad customer service. Not professional and kind of disrespectful considering 60 percent of the dishes they sell are just rice. And rice is cheap. Gave this spot a last chance after a few repeating disappointing encounters with the quality of food received. I’ve recently become semi-regular at this restaurant as jerk chicken as well as the fried chicken are incredible. However any gravy aside from the fried chicken gravy are bland and in need of extra seasoning. Not to mention the customer service is abysmal, with the front staff acting as if they have better things to do than to serve you…credit where credit is due but you guys have to do better.

Food's good, customer service is the worst I've experienced in a looong time! I tried to call to verify what soup they had for 20 min... When I arrived I realized why no one answered. The lady was on the phone. She proceeded to take my order while on her personal phone, despite me saying I'll wait for her to finish. Sigh* We need to do better... Seriously. Kitchen staff are nice.

Chicken is too dry and not too tasty. I asked for extra gravy but they didnt give me extra when I checked. I used to go here at least twice a month 2 years ago. I stopped, then went again for the first time today in a long time. I can’t remember if the chicken was always this dry or if it got worse. Prices are decent. Large for $12, portion is big.

Went in to pick up an order, the lady eating with her hands behind the counter.. she proceeded to share my food without even washing her hands- all the gravy was still on her hands that she was using to eat. You need better hygiene practices, wash your hands when preparing people’s meals.

Omg the oxtail ... dare I say might be better than Niceys (and I’ve been a long time customer). The amount of oxtail made up for the bit high $. Throw in a drink with the combo and you’ll be my new favourite place for oxtail!
