My overall rating for the service I received cannot be anything less than ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐(5 stars). A pairing of Tobi Olayiwole and Saylan Lucas helped us achieve our ambitions as we were selling to buy. The service was always above and beyond service in very very difficult circumstances. Tobi Olayiwole actually kept the deal going by always going above and beyond service in terms of leading and controlling 3 different parties (part of a chain). He was the only person who was able to influence all parties into achieving positive outcomes. He would also make sure that we as vendors, never have a delay in responding back to other parties and that's how he kept this deal alive. His care and consideration is something I've never seen from a sales negotiator and I think his leadership skills can be utilised at many different levels of the business. Saylan was also very influential in helping us getting started and on the right track. This was a very difficult and unconventional sale and I commend both guys in guiding us to the finishing line. I would definitely use Winkworth again. I have used many other estate agents before to sell (Hunters, Keatons etc.), Winkworth trumps them all for sales. We sold for what we wanted in a difficult market and would not have done that without these guys. (I need to stress that this is probably the most truthful and under exaggerated review I could have posted. I was looking to buy a one bed property in Hackney and had my first viewing with Tobi from Winkworth estate agents. During the first viewing, I felt very rushed and when I asked a few basic questions about the property, such as how old the property was and why the owners were selling, I felt he didn't really know and had made up a few answers. I decided to ignore this and arrange a second viewing which by then he was able to answer some of the questions I had asked at the first viewing but his answers differed from what he had said before. I really liked the property and I kept telling myself that I'm not buying from Tobi at Winkworth but from the buyer, so I decided to put in an offer in on the property. I was contacted by my broker the following day who advised Tobi had contacted him directly to ask if I had more funds to offer higher than I had. I found this very unprofessional and even my broker said he felt this was a 'dirty' tack-tick which some estate agents like to do. In the end I decided to purchase the property but through a different estate agents who had also listed it. I found the process a lot more enjoyable and I am so happy to have had my first offer accepted on the property. For these reasons, I wont be going through Winkworth to sell or buy in the future. I found the process unorganised and dishonest.

I recently purchased a property through the Hackney Winkworth office. Tobi was acting as managing agent for the transaction and he worked extremely hard to make sure it went through smoothly. The whole team at the office were excellent and Tobi was especially good at navigating the issues that came up during the purchase between myself and the vendor of the property. I had to change my mortgage at the last minute and delay the fixed completion date - this wasn't an easy situation as even my solicitor was not happy. But Tobi was able to reassure the vendor and make sure that the transaction didn't break down into litigation letters being sent out by the vendor's solicitor. Overall, I found the team at the Hackney office experienced and more than competent. An important part of the job of an estate agent is to act as point of contact between purchaser and vendor to relay messages that might be problematic if dealt with by solicitors. They also make sure both parties are informed about progress at all times. Both of these responsibilities require good understanding of information and the ability to deliver it to the purchaser or vendor in a way that does not increase stress to either party when transaction progress is stalling. Thank you Tobi and the team for getting things over the line, I know it wasn't an easy one!

Good afternoon, Unfortunately, I very rarely take the time to write a review. However, this time I felt I must. My son and future daughter-in-law have just purchased with Winkworth and I can’t speak highly enough of them. I think it would be unfair to single two people out but feel I have to. Firstly, the lovely Yazmin, from the minute she picked up the phone to me initially, she couldn’t do enough for us. They had already had a few properties fallen through on them. The fact that she was working at home made no difference, she gave me the time and suggested there could be a property that might suit. We were then introduced to Tobi. He was great and managed to get us all interested again about buying a property. The property was ideal!! With the stamp duty deadline and a wedding approaching he really was what they both needed. A little humour and reassuring everything would be ok. He finally helped us get the property over the line. They found there perfect first home. Thank you Winkworth, Best wishes, Suzanne

My partner has just rented using Winkworth. She was given repeated assurances and promises prior to paying her deposit and rent. Since then, and particularly following moving, there has been issue after issue. Of note, many of the documented conditions have not been completed by the start of the tenancy (as agreed). Having spoken to Winkworth, they have devolved responsibility to the landlord, who in turn has placed the blame on the previous tenant. Solutions are still being found for the issues. The lettings team have been quick to stress that they do not manage the property - but they felt confident enough to hook my partner in with what have turned out to be false promises. I would be very careful about checking what is promised to you - if you get what is agreed then this is not a problem, but if not then it can be very difficult. Winkworth have not taken any responsibility in this situation - if she had known how poor the "checking" process was, my partner would not have moved in.

I have worked with Winkworth on two occasions, both times have been excellent experiences. The agent we dealt with, Ahmed Ozdemir, was absolutely fantastic. He was professional, helpful and very upfront. We really felt that he had our best interests at heart and was transparent at ever stage of the process. He helped to negotiate with the landlord on our behalf things like furniture and move in dates. He was always prompt with answering the phone and emails. He was flexible throughout the entire process and was even accommodating enough to let us see the flat again and take measurements of the space. I cannot recommend Hackney Winkworth enough!

My mother bought her current house through Winkworth in Haringey and also sold her previous Dalston home through Winkworth's Clapton office. She decided to give them her house to sell due to how professional and attentive Rose Bukre was. In the Clapton office she dealt with Saylan Lukas -the manager- and James Winestock. Both were incredibly helpful and knowledgable about the market and their advice was extremely useful. Their office is very well run and we would advise anybody who buys or sells a house to use their services. Our experience with Winkworth is that the firm is one of the best anyone could use.

I found Ade to be very professional and helpful when we were looking for places to view. However I was shocked when I viewed a property that the photos on the winkworth website were totally misleading. This is really not fair that photos are advertised from when the property is purchased and not in the current state. Id never seen a property in such an awful state and couldnt believe that winkworth would show people a property in this state. There was so much mould the smell made me feel physically sick! I wish id taken some photos but I just wanted out of there as fast as possible.

And a shoutout to Saylan who overheard me talking about a holiday in Wales I was about to go on and went out of his way to print off an itinerary he had made for himself and his friends previously for the same area, as well as giving excellent advice on the best tracks to climb Snowdon by. I viewed some lovely Hackney properties with the estimable Haider Shah: great agent. Courteous, efficient, he showed a great understanding of my needs: created a short, manageable list, all very well targetted at my needs. Winkworth's always seem to have the prettiest properties - Farrow & Ball lead paint, custom-designed kitchens etc. Haider is genial and discrete as well, with a genuine interest in his clients, as far as I can tell, as well as understanding of when you don't want to talk at all, just look. Highly recommended.

A huge shout-out to Lydia Y at Winkworth Property Management who helped us with several problems. We've rented through Winkworth for almost two years, and had serious issues with the property management team following through to execute on fix requests and other items in that period. Lydia stepped in after over 6 months had lapsed on getting a large hole in our ceiling (caused by a leak) fixed, remedying it within two weeks. We're really thankful of her communication and effort to help us!

We bought and sold through Winkworth (speaking with Ioana, Saylan and Ifra) and they were a pleasure to deal with. On the sale, they clearly explained how they'd arrived at their valuation, and how the sales process worked. Their fee was fair compared to other agents and they gave us good guidance once we started to receive offers. They managed a complicated chain very well and kept us informed throughout and I would very happily recommend them to anyone looking to move in the area.
