"Really disappointed with Winners"
"Discount brand name retail store"
"I went for shopping and my experience with one of trial room worker was very bad"
"I had a really poor experience here"
"We came to this Winners location, where we spent about two hours looking for the right things for us, after which we went to the fitting room where we were not allowed to bring more than 10 things with us according to the policy of the store, and we had to leave the selected goods with an older woman at the entrance, they were asked not to give it to anyone"
Really disappointed with Winners. Bought my son a $25 gift card in Manitoba for Christmas. Bought 5-6 months ago. Shopping was done for several people/families. Not sure if card was bought with cash, debit, credit card. Recently moved to Alberta. Son went to use the card yesterday in Alberta, and was told it doesn’t work. I phoned 1-800 # and was told I had to have a receipt, and proof where it was bought, for them to prove that I bought it. Also, when I told them I have the top of the card, they told me they don’t sell the cards with tops? I have to look through credit card and debit receipts hoping that one will show that one $25 card that says Winners on it, or did I buy several cards at a different locations. I really can’t remember, nor have I kept a receipt for this far back. Wow, pretty well told I am a liar without saying so directly? *(Anyone else have a problem with their gift cards or just me?) I am sure this post will be deleted by Winner’s, hoping I will drop this). In years of buying different gift cards, this is the first problem with any gift card)!
Discount brand name retail store. Defects often present in clothes which can be returned or exchanged, seems like a lot of B grade product makes it through to winners. Shoe selection, house wears, small food section. Expect a busy parking lot, however parking is always available. Tags do not come off easily, which staff brought up years ago, as well as customers; staff were told it would be addressed however management has failed. Difficulty removing tags deters customers from gifting. Winners management would benefit from adopting a customer focused view in this respect; companies that do this consistently improve revenue.
I went for shopping and my experience with one of trial room worker was very bad. She counted my clothes and did not give me the number tag, but later when I came out from trial room she was asking about number, I said she did not give me any, she surprisingly accusing me that I was not telling truth. I was surprised that how come that kind of people work on well renowned place like winners, she doesn’t have any manners. First of all it was her fault not giving the number, and then she was telling me I was not telling truth in front of other customers. I am really disappointed about the service.
I had a really poor experience here. I wouldn't return. The issue I experienced was that they made a mistake and put it all on me to resolve. I had to fight to get $11 back when there were additional items on my bill. Then to make it better, after asking nicely and then feeling as if I had to fight the injustice I got virtue signalled by the employee working about how wrong it was of my to care about what she deemed minimal amounts of monies. I've enjoyed many other winners, Southland is very close and far superior!!
We came to this Winners location, where we spent about two hours looking for the right things for us, after which we went to the fitting room where we were not allowed to bring more than 10 things with us according to the policy of the store, and we had to leave the selected goods with an older woman at the entrance, they were asked not to give it to anyone. When we came back to take the rest, it was already hang back in the store. Also, the staff put a sensor in one of the T-shirts in place of the hole to hide it.
This store is fine. It’s not my favourite location. It’s not as eye grabbing as it’s sister store in the same complex. I have nothing bad to say though. Customer service was fine, selection is good, cleanliness good. I’m just finding it’s not as memorable. Either way, you’ll always find something fun to bring home. ***The last few experiences have been better than the one I originally reviewed. I found some great Halloween stuff in October. Can’t wait for next year. Ouija board tray is Freya approved
This plaza hosts Winners and Homesense so you get the best bang for your buck. This Winners feel a little older, but it does carry a lot of stock. Like the philosophy of parent company TJX, it is a treasure hunt between each store. I have found some very nice stuff here and not anywhere else. As others have said, parking is a challenge here. This chalks up to the number of nice stores in this plaza. If it was empty. It means no one wants to come here so take the busy parking lot as a postive reflection.
I like this Winners. Good selection of gift items under $20. Many ideas I would never have come up with. My fav was a glass teapot filled with a variety of organic teas for $14. There are kitchen utensils, mugs, chocolates, cookie/cake baking kits, coffees, candy (many sugar free), designer socks, scarves and the list goes on. I didn't check toys or clothing. Lady at the jewelry counter was very helpful . Selection is good with price ranges that would suit almost any budget.
Very disappointing experience. I walked in there looking for multiple items for my son. There was literally 2 short racks for boys clothing, while the girls section took about a quarter of the store!Half of one of those racks was "clearance" (leftover winter stock that they couldn't sell) - also looking for shoes for my son. There was about 5 pairs of ugly, low quality shoes and one pair of nicer shoes that were about the same price as a regular store. Never going back.
Winners has mastered the art of offering high-end brands at unbeatable prices, making luxury accessible. Their curated selection of fashion, home decor, and beauty products always exceeds expectations. The thrill of discovering top-notch items at a fraction of the cost is unmatched. With their excellent customer service and well-organized stores, Winners remains my preferred destination for premium products without the hefty price tag.
The selection is great but one of the cashiers was working while incredibly sick, coughing and sneezing into her hands. I was gonna buy a bunch of stuff but put it all down and walked out because I didn't feel like getting sick. I wish businesses wouldn't make their staff work in that state, it's so gross and not fair to employees or customers.
Winners isn’t for everyone. Pretty much all of the clothes are racked and sorted by size and type. Brands and styles are anyone’s guess but that’s part of the fun! You can find things here that you will never find anywhere else. You will also probably never find it again once they sell it. Good prices, good selection.
Today I was faced with unprofessional and rude cashier. I wanted to return one item without a receipt, and she told me in a rude manner that next time I wouldn’t allowed to do it without tjx card. In the receipt it says that without receipt I can money back on gift card that totally fine for me. I think it was till 9
Not my favourite location as it is always zoo there. It’s not as eye grabbing as it’s sister store in the same complex. I have nothing bad to say though. Customer service was fine, selection is good, cleanliness good. I’m just finding it’s not as memorable. Either way, you’ll always find something fun to bring home.
This place has a large section of men's clothing which is great. Also, has a great selection of clothes that are marked down. Spent an hour there today and didn't get out of men's department. Nice clothes at good prices, especially those on sale. Love Winners and will definitely be back to this location.
Yesterday, Ukrainian salespeople at the checkout refused to serve me because I speak Russian and said that I do not have the right to speak Russian. therefore, I believe that such sellers have no place to work in public places since there are a lot of Russian-speaking people in Calgary, terrible service
I never find anything at this location, I find they don't have a very big selection. Also, if you are any bigger than a size 8, don't even bother going here. Here are all the dresses they have in the entire place as well. Parking lot is chaos. The 2 stars are only for the staff being nice people.
Great selection. The parking lot sucks though. It's super small and the stalls were designed around small cars and not the large trucks and SUV's people cram into them. It's winners, so you know what you are going to get before you even walk it. It's a consistent Winners experience ;)
I stopped in for a quick look to see what's new. Specifically looking for new lingerie. A few items caught my eye - didn't have time to have a "good look" so will head back later next week, I've got my eye on a few things! Clean store, friendly staff and great fashions... …
Ive been here few times , the store is quite large with nice selection but you get lost easily inside and customer service is quite poor you can hardly find someone to ask question .. household stuff are expensive .. I wouldn't call it brand for less anymore .. good luck
Lots of discounted makeup items, jewellery, hand soap and home decor. Love to buy nice candies and coffee although they are a bit pricey but always have good taste and flavour . Good collection of clothes and lots of clearance. Always love to shop there.
One of the first winners I visited when I first moved to Calgary. It is located very well and they seem to have great stuff. Now parking is limited most of the time, and the best part there is a home sense just footsteps away from the store.
I love Winners at Signal Hill only. The store on Heritage and Flint Road is just a store. The parking lot is all bitten up with no way to get to the store without walking around the cars and the puddles. Inside, it's clean but disorganized
I was so excited when a Winners opened up in the mall! Out of all the stores I think it has the best value by far. So much variety for all your clothing needs and for a sliver of the price of designer brands. Super great all around store!!
This location often lacks the selection of other locations. Post Covid that has been more so. When they have what you need the prices are usually great and their clear outs exceptional. I just wish they were more consistent.
Good store with some unique items not available at other Winners locations. Good price tags as usual for famous brand names. Parking can be challenging due to the traffic entering and exiting the parking lot.
The lady working at the cash was incredibly inappropriate and speaking politics with a customer and was clearly making her uncomfortable. Do your job and keep your opinions to yourself.
The woman who counts my things at the fitting room is very rude. She did not like that I came with a stroller in which my child was sleeping.
Their return policy on perfumes seem to be fluctuating depending on who’s around. I recently had a horrible customer service experience here
Always good deals and a wide range of sizes. I like the variety and the people who work there are super friendly. So helpful...
This was a nice clean store. With all the options winners usually have. We found what we needed and the staff was friendly
Always a great place to shop. Very clean and well stocked with very helpful and pleasant staff.
My wife likes to shop at Winners, good place to find deals on a lot of different items!
I like the kitchen section. Good quality discounted items.
I love winners lots of collection and nice shoes
