Arranged the move with Garry McLaughlin, he's a little "rough around the edges" but didn't seem to be unreasonable. I asked about insurance and was told about the $0.60 a pound liability, no deductible. I'm think well three thousand pounds of stuff, that's $1800 insurance. Spoke to my house insurance broker and I was insured thru them too, but subject to a larger deductible. I decided to go with the $1800 insurance and if something catastrophic happened make a claim on my house insurance. They arrived on time and went right to work, worked like dogs. Lots of little RED tags and many lines entered on their moving sheets. As the day wore on they got tired and things started to get sloppy. Bumping into walls, squeezing around corners, things picked up abruptly and set down heavily. Several items were damaged. Every item (I noticed) was noted on the moving sheets. All these items went into storage. End of part one. I spoke to Garry McLaughlin, sent him some pictures and he assured me that everything would be taken care of once the move was completed. Part two. The rest of the items from our old home were removed. Pretty much same as before, started well and then went downhill. This time everything was in little GREEN tags. Part three. Moving into the new house. I had the stack of about 20 moving sheets and was responsible for checking off the tag numbers, my wife was to tell them were to put the items and the unloading began. Things started off smoothly, then the blankets started coming off and we started to discover damage. So while my wife is in one room, with one mover as the items are unwrapped and I'm busy making notes of damage, the other two movers just keep bringing items in and not telling me the numbers and putting items away based on a their "best guess." Not good. Then the real problem started to occur. Duplicate numbers started appearing. We realized the problem was with red tags and green tags and overlapping numbers. So they started calling out both the tag number and colour and I did my best to mark it off on the correct sheet. We carried on. At the end of the move there were numerous numbers not marked off on the sheets and boxes strewn around the home. We decided to select 10 of these "missing" numbers, one off each sheet, and find those items. We only found 9. I signed off and was assured again if anything was a problem we'd be taken care of. Now I have a bunch of damaged stuff and more then a few things missing. The missing stuff is just random things, nothing of great value. It's like a couple of boxes just never arrived. I've found out that the liability insurance is limited to $50 per item and is pretty much a joke. Also the verbal assurances I received were not honoured. Even the damaged items that were photographed and recorded on the moving sheets were never dealt with. Their "guy" who was to fix the furniture (at my expense) called me a number of weeks after I called him. I told him that I didn't think he was calling me back so I hired someone else to do the repairs instead. The moving industry in un-regulated and while I am generally against over regulating private business, I think in this case there needs to be some oversight.

While moving from city to city can be a challenge, the Winnipeg Moving TEAM made it easy and uneventful. Nathan Krulicki quarterbacked our whole experience and we could not be more pleased. The cost for the services they provided were fair and reasonable. We will recommend Winnipeg Moving to our family and friends, and will be sure to call on them for any of our future needs!! January 2022 UPDATE: Turns out we are again on the move. This time we moved within the City of Winnipeg and the TEAM at Winnipeg Moving were once again outstanding! Nathan started it off with his prompt response to our request for an estimate and then he again ensured we were good to go. Rob in dispatch communicated when we could expect the packers, movers and unpackers. Bo and team did a good job packing up all our stuff. Curtis, Al and Andy were awesome with the transport of our all our belongings, (2 bedroom condo, and 45 years of stuff…lol). They had a challenging time with 2 flights of stairs, and how the steps turn, but their never give up efforts were so appreciated. Taylor in the office helped with an unexpected twist, in a warm professional manner. And Kristin (sorry if I spelt incorrectly) and Drew did a tremendous job of our unpacking. I would (and have) recommend Winnipeg Moving to my family and friends! We hope to not move for a long time, but when we do, it will be with Winnipeg Moving!

Move: Wpg to Scarborough. When I began to look at my options for moving, I found that there were many options. Some, at first glance, looked very appealing - very low cost; however it became apparent quickly that along with low cost was going to be very low service and satisfaction! I contacted WM &S and connected with Rick Osada and Joanne. I felt fully supported, valued as a client, and comfortable with all of my dealings with Rick. He was always available to answer my questions or to meet with me to explain everything to me or to just reassure me that everything was going to be fine. The fact that I was provided with the opportunity to have previously used boxes for my move was a bonus and so appreciated. Joanne, from the office, repeatedly greeted me at the office with a hello and a reassuring smile; she clearly understands the stresses associated with a big move. The two fellows that arrived to load the truck were so efficient, professional and pleasant. Shawn, the driver who transported my belongings from Wpg kept me informed as to his arrival and scheduled delivery to our home. Every part of this move went smoothly and it has been a great experience. Thank you

I had a very negative experience with a recent move through Winnipeg Moving, both in respect to the logistics of the move and in attempting to deal with the company afterward. A general overview of my concerns included damaged/lost/misplaced property, failure of staff to meet stated company policy expectations and to comply with clear directions for handling/distribution of my household goods. Attempts to address these issues with management met with defensiveness and an arrogant disregard for customer service or an acceptance of professional responsibility on their part. It is clear that I did not receive the level of professional service claimed by the company and reflected in their rates. It is also very clear that the company culture, once its solicitation has drawn a client, is not geared toward customer satisfaction or a realistic assessment and resolution of their errors/deficiencies. The move proved to be a highly frustrating and stressful experience, and, for the expense entailed, I had little to no satisfaction with the service provided. I would strongly recommend avoiding Winnipeg Moving.

Well... I would say don’t waste your money. This is a company that sends one moving guy with a bum leg to move all your stuff in. My husband, uncle and nephew had to move all the stuff in. I can’t imagine how they treat their drivers. The driver told me that he fell off a ladder at work as he was hobbling around bringing our stuff in. The other driver/mover sat in the truck the whole time because he could barely walk because he was in a car accident. If you would Like your stuff late and to pay full price to move your own stuff then get these guys. I took a picture of the one driver/mover and most likely will be taking them to small Claims court. If you pay for a “professional mover” then you shouldn’t have to complete their job for them and pay full price. We also have stuff missing and a broken TV. I should have known as the “sales rep” was such a bully and so rude when I called to inquire. What a horrible and stressful experience, I would never hire such an unprofessional company again.

Save yourself the hassle, once these guys take your money it doesn't matter after that. They promise the world and tell you why you should stick with the big companies, its all the same at the end of the day. To make it easy, buy the insurance(protect your stuff), pay with your Amex (Amex will go to bat for you no matter what happens) and go with the lowest quote. Winnipeg moving promised no hassles, stand up guys who do the move and 100% satisfaction, all the things the "other movers" can't provide. I will tell you, Winnipeg Moving can't provide any of this. I understand that things happen, but correct and it communicate what you are doing along the way. Its been 3 months and still no resolution on poor performance, unreliable sub contractors, damages items and lost items. Good luck if you choose these guys!

I needed to uncluttered my home of 21 years to sell my home, Allied moving came within a few days walked through my home gave great suggestions of what should go to storage. An agreed date to get things out came , part of my request was to have my 12 place China and black crystal packed for me as well all my collectables and another China cabinet full of glasses crystal etc. 2 fellows showed up in the morning and began packing all my items carefully and diligently. Nothing broken or left behind. Amazing how they did the packing. In the afternoon they took everything including some furniture and about 25 boxes I had packed to the truck, each piece of furniture was bundled in moving blankets . Unbelievably professional and Efficient. Great workers! Definitely will hire them for my final move. Thank you so much

Moving is one of the most stressful experiences in life, and requires an intense amount of detail and care. I've used Winnipeg Moving and Storage twice now and both times they exceeded my expectations. Professional, attention to detail and treating my possessions as if they were theirs are just a few compliments. It was also pretty inexpensive given how efficient they were, as it was by the hour rate. Huge kudos to Zane and Curtis, the guys responsible for all the work. I would hesitate for a second to recommend this company and will use them everytime I need moving services. As for the front office, you won't get better service than from Nathan and Johann. Just terrific people.

Winnipeg Moving and Storage exceeded my expectations for a moving company. I had the task of moving an office from a 17 story apartment to another office and it all went so smoothly and quick. From contacting the company to arrange a last minute move, to the movers arriving on time and being kind as I wasn't really all the prepared, to being efficient, helpful and so quick and professional I just can't say enough about how easy they made this task that seemed so difficult to me. I had to sell my house very quickly during the crazy late 2020/early 2021 quarantine housing market, and was not able to find a new house in the seller-driven bidding war environment for several months afterwards. This company was a pleasure to deal with during that very stressful time. The office was friendly and responsive and the moving teams were efficient and clean. Even with a lot of delicate vintage/antique furniture, including a piano, there was only a tiny bit of damage to one item when it all arrived at my new house. I would be happy to use Winnipeg Moving and Storage again in the future.

A great experience! From the first call with the sales rep Nathan Krulicki to the final piece of furniture delivered, we felt their caring and attention to detail. The team led by Garrett was very well organized. He, Brady and Berlin were so careful with our goods and furniture. And they were so respectful and courteous. They even suggested that they move the goods from our building storage locker to our new offsite one, even though we warned them that the goods were really dusty. We would use Winnipeg Moving again anytime.

This was the worst move I've ever had! I moved in March, and STILL have not gotten a response from anyone but the claim person. They broke a bunch of personal items, and then told me it was MY fault! What items they did agree to replace, I'll have to replace first and then get reimbursed. Tough to do when one item was over $300.00... Not the claim person's fault, but still frustrating. They took my money at a vulnerable time, and now I'm getting the brush off. I will be going to the BBB if I don't get a response.

Winnipeg Moving was exceptional this past weekend! From the moment we contacted them to receive an estimate to the actual moving day, everything was fantastic. Being a family of 6 we had a lot of things to go from one house to the other yet the movers were able to do this quickly and efficiently and in a friendly manner! All of our stuff was moved safely as well, and the estimate received initially was right on. Overall a great company to work with. Highly recommended to all!

Horrible experience, this company gave me bedbugs and never refunded my money. They admitted to using the same truck that they used to move someone with an infestation. They wouldn't help with pest control or reimbursement. They didn't care at all. Buyer beware. The bugs were falling off the moving rugs and truck. It was disgusting. Seriously people if you don't want bed bugs and to avoid what I went through please don't use this company.

Winnipeg Moving gently transported a cherished, antique family heirloom. The large, heavy glass + wood China cabinet travelled from my Dad's home in Gimli, MB to my home in Winnipeg, MB securely swaddled. It arrived without a knick or scratch. I booked a move with this company. They showed up (40 minutes late) to inventory my furniture and told me my date was no longer available. This was 2 weeks before my move which made it difficult to find another company that was available. Very disappointing and unprofessional service. I can't speak for the actual move or movers, just the administration and operation of the company.

Moving from abroad it could be a pain.However from the moment Winnipeg Moving took care of my shipment, everything went perfect. Always on top for any change etc. They gave me the directions to go to Customs and to import my container. The crew came to unload everything at my place and they were fantastic. They left with all the dirts and boxes etc...WELL DONE!!!!

This is a dated review from a move in 2020 - many items broken and damaged due to carelessness and overpacking, some items were missing and never recovered. Crew brought backpacks into our basement. Damage claim was filed but very under valued. Just had a new move with AMJ - nothing broken or missing. I would recommend AMJ over Winnipeg moving and storage.

The guy, Gary, on the phone was rude and impatient. I was asking him about storage rates and insurance when he said in a rude way that we don't move your stuff and hanged up the phone. He just wanted me to give him my credit card number just based on basic information. It looks like he is not happy with his job and what he is doing.

These guys were the best. Berlin and Scott were very friendly and extremely accommodating. Attention to detail from start to the finish. Both took pride in making the customer happy and doing a good job. They enjoy their job and take care of your belongings like they were their own. All while being fast and efficient.

HORRIBLE EXPIERENCE! Moved from Winnipeg to British Columbia.They outsourced my stuff to the company Two Small Men and then a bunch of my things were damaged as well as my house. They damaged hardwood floors and walls and did not want to compensate. We even bought insurance. Scam company..do not trust. Go elsewhere!

We moved from Winnipeg to Sooke BC. in August. This moving company estimated our load properly and packed, loaded and unloaded and unpacked taking away a lot of stress. 8,000 lbs later & one broken glass no claims. Arrived on time and delivered on the day that said they would. Great service highly recommended.

First of all i have to say the two hardest working people i have seen. If they didnt have anytjing in there hands they were running. Very careful and were a great team together.
