06/10/23: it was a fun hike to see the Witch’s Castle. The Castle is also called the Stone House and it is quite attractive to me. It seems like a place for overnight camping in nature. We parked in front of a sign (did not remember the name) and then walked downhill for around 15-20 mins to see the castle. Love discovering nature and immersing myself in the beautiful forest

Lovely, although covered with graffiti, it doesn’t change the beauty and peace of this place. It’s a short hike down. I went while cold and rainy, however, I didn’t allow that to affect my experience. I enjoyed myself, I always do my best to see the positive in everything. There was hardly anyone there and I actually had the place to myself for at least 30 minutes.

The hike there was absolutely beautiful and calming. Just being in the forest around trees and enjoying the scenery makes the hike worth it. With that being said, once we saw the damage and graffiti the castle had all over it, it was absolutely heartbreaking. This place was supposed to be mystical & enchanting, but now looks so horrible.

A place with multiple stories… It’s a great hike to see this stone built little house. It has been modernized with wall painters paying visits.. A cool spot to sit and read mysterious stories about the castle.. It is also referred to as the stone house.

It's unfortunate it was covered in graffiti, most of it inappropriate for children's eyes. The hike to the castle was gorgeous and peaceful. It's still a great spot for photos, just keep in mind you won't be the only one there.

A 12 minute hike from the road to the witch's castle. Make sure you have good shoes for this small hike. It is slippery and for the most part smooth with no traction. The trail goes way beyond this attraction so I would make a day of this outing. Bring the 4 legged kids don't forget the poop bags! More
Beautiful short hike from the road to the witch’s castle. The hike itself is beautiful and feels like you are walking in a fairy tale forest. Very muddy and slippery after it rains so wear good shoes. Wasn’t impressed with the “castle” so much but will definitely go back to do the longer trails. More
Fun hike! The trail is easy to follow with a great destination. It took about 15 minutes to reach the stone ruins in a mostly shaded path. The path down is steep and filled with rocks and tree roots so be careful!

It was a lovely structure! There was a small hike to reach the "castle" but it was worth it! There was a lot of graffiti but it added some creativity to the adventure.

Quick little hike down to the Witch's Castle. Round trip was 1.5 miles and 240 feet elevation gain. You could keep going if you're wanting to but I chose to just check out the castle. Trail was busy but not too crazy. Parked at Macleay Park. More
A lovely hike through some very nice scenery. Highly recommend this trail if you really like moss. The witch’s castle (marked as “the Stone House” on the trail map) is a pretty popular trail tourist spot, so there were quite a few people
Nice little hike do recommend if you are doing more then 1 hike to bring. Some water and some snacks for the hike. It Was fun but if you sensitive like me you can feel a wired vibe ones you get to the castle made me feel like I wanted to
One of the coolest hikes I've ever been on. The Witch's Castle has no witchcraft history at all but that does not mean this place is not magical. The building served as a restroom for hikers and later became a party hangout and now a
This hike was absolutely stunning! It's not too hard at all and so worth it. Very family friendly hike. Look for the giant slugs along the way!

One of the parks treasures. I've been coming here for over 20 years. I hope the park can clean the walls of graffiti and the ground of trash and needles, as I don't hike with trash bags, gloves, or grips.
First this is a walk, both downhill and up. There is no railing so watch younger kids, the views are great and the witches house is cool. Old structure with that creepy vibe. More
Love love love visiting the Witch’s Castle. Always great visiting there, having a nice walk, seeing the beautiful scenery and folks around there are always so friendly.
Very nice walk down to the witches hut. If you have a bad knee or legs you should still be able to get down and up just take your time. More
Beautiful hike to get to the Witch's Castle. Loved seeing the castle, but sad about the inappropriate and disrespectful graffiti. More
