Ordered again July 2, 2023, still the best Chinese food in Winnipeg. Really enjoy the food at this location. Best to pre-order for pickup to avoid waiting for your order. Normally takes 35 to 50 minutes for the order to be ready - very busy location on any given day. Staff very professional and friendly. It would be nice if the restaurants provided free fortune cookies with the take out orders as it completes the meal and is enjoyable/fun to read them in groups. Did something different this year for Christmas Eve, ordered from Wok House. The food was great, again, think that when there are large orders, fortune cookies should come with the take out orders as they give them when you order in.

If you are looking for gourmet Chinese food in a classy high end restaurant this place probably is not for you. However if you are craving affordable and tasty food this is the place. Located in a strip mall between Leila and Partridge on McGregor in the North End of the city with ample parking. The restaurant is small but does have a small lounge attached with a couple of VLT's and a stocked bar. I have been here numerous times and have ordered pick up and delivery. On this occasion we ordered: 108. Wok House Deluxe Chow Mein 93. Wok House Deluxe Fried Rice 59. Ginger Beef (Honey and Spicy) 115. Wok House Spice Shanghai Noodles 5. Deluxe Wonton Soup All items arrived hot, right out of the kitchen. The portions were very generous and my only complaint is that there was delay between them coming out. Overall everything was very good and we took quite a bit home.

Price is good, service is great. Everything is fresh and sizzling. Went here because my partner has great memories from going here with his grandparents (who have sadly passed away). Being here and food from here is nostalgic for him. The only downside is that they don't have great vegetarian options. Excluding me, most of my side of the family is vegetarian, so I am unable to bring my family to enjoy food here. Would love to carry on the tradition if they added some more vegetarian options.

Not for a vegetarian person. Quite literally no vegetarian options that taste decent. But that's most Asian restaurants. I'd recommend adding some battered fried cauliflower, it's delicious and can be combined with so many sauces, even non vegetarian love cauliflower bites

All I can say about this place is Tai Hao Le !! Food too good it got me speaking chinese. Very friendly service and real zhongguo ren people.The price and portion is very nice. Their chili oil is a must. It ain't lao gan ma but it's hitting. It's take out only at the moment. I highly recommend this place!

Our first time ordering from here after hearing many good reviews from other people. We ordered egg rolls, 4 chicken fried rice, lemon chicken, lo mein bbq pork and chicken. They all had no flavour and the fried rice was very dry, The chicken and pork in the lo mein was minimal and also very dry. The kids only had a few bites of everything and the rest was thrown out. We were quite disappointed, we order out from different places Atleast twice a week and we know what good Chinese tastes like. I was told I chose the most plain food, but if they can’t make a simple chicken fried rice what makes the other ones better? We won’t be ordering from here again as we spent over $80.00 on it for it just to go in the garbage.

Excellent food. Always arrives at the table piping hot. Food does not sit around. This restaurant is always very busy with take out so you may have to wait a bit longer than expected for your meal but the food is always worth the wait! If you dine in expect to wait a little longer that you might to expect, have a drink and relax knowing your meal is on the way. If you prefer you can order for delivery or takeout. Whichever option you choose you cannot go wrong. Very pleasant & accommodating staff. I have been enjoying the food for more than 7 years and I can't get enough!

Food was ok. See lots of reviews saying it was best in the city but I didn't find it much better then others. Wontons are one of my favorite appetizers and they were a huge let down. They had no meat in them. Ordered over the phone and was told it would be close to 2.5 hrs for delivery. I asked how long if I picked up and they said 1.5 to 2 hrs. Was hoping for that wait the food would be way better. We picked it up after about 1 hr 40 min and it was already packaged up. Got home and it was barely wan. Makes me wonder if it actually took 1.5 hrs to make.

We ventured other places in our community to try other places and we're always sadly disappointed when compared to the food at Wok House. We've been coming here for years and enjoy everything they make. Our favorites are Curried Beef, breaded veal, Sweet & Sour Breaded Shrimp and their Deluxe Fried Rice. The prices are great! The staff is ALWAYS friendly and sometimes there is a wait but they try to be as efficient and quick as they can without compromising their quality of dishes they make. We decided we're not ordering from anywhwre else anymore.

I was at the Wok House for the first time today. It was a long wait to get a table and the gentleman in charge did not seem to know where to set up a table for us. There were several people that walked out due to the long wait. It took a long time to get our order and the food was tasty and in large amounts. We have enough for dinner tomorrow. There seemed to be a large amount of take out so maybe the cooks could not keep up with that and also customers in the restaurant. They also seemed quite understaffed so the servers were running non stop.

Very good quality food . I especially liked the won ton soup and the dry veal . This place always seems busy , that may also tell you something. Calling in an order is a problem , if you get a certain couple of people , as English seems pretty difficult for them. But if you get the younger ones , it's absolutely no problem . Also you should have your order completely ready before you call , otherwise they'll get annoyed with you lol .

Our usual restaurant was closed temporarily ( whatever that means) so we decided to try the Wok House on McGregor. We ordered 96$ worth of food for pickup. We couldn’t have been happier.The quality and quantity was both A+. The food was ready when I arrived and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Needless to say they are our new go to for Chinese food.

I like the won ton soup. But we googled before we left home and saw dine in was an option. Still not open for dine in. I thought everyone was back to business as usual. I have not ordered since covid closed dine in. 3 years later still closed to dine in? Guess it may be another 3 years before I order again since I make a pretty mean won ton soup myself.

I love this place, it doesn't matter if you're the first person ordering or if you order 20 minutes before they close their quality of food is always great. I am always satisfied and full when I order from there. Try their Squid its amazing. Been ordering from here for about 10yrs now and have yet to be disappointed. From They guy known as Calender guy by the Wok House staff.

Dine in is open again and they are just as great as they used to be! Great prices and large portions. Highly recommend the BBQ chicken, shrimp egg foo young, breaded veal, and the tofu and fish.

Was told my order would take 1 hour to an hour and 15 minutes. Got there about an hour 10 minutes later ended up waiting another half an hour. But the food is some of the best in the city and reasonably priced.

When placing an order, both their menu and website state the hours of operation and when you call or visit you will find out that the esablishment clearly does not follow what they advertise to the public. My last attempt to place an order 1.5 hours prior to their advertised closing time was rejected. Clearly bad business practices.

We used to be die hard Ocean King people but it has become too inconsistent so we tried WOK HOUSE for the first time and hands down it's far superior quality food. You can actually see the freshness when you open it up and the taste is amazing. We love it and it will be our go to from now on without a doubt. Keep it up WOK HOUSE!!

Delivery on multiple orders in the past take 2- 2.5 hours to arrive never on time. Tried picking up on more then one occasion and same result, told it would take an hour and wait 45 mins at the restaurant. Food is great but service is poor. Too busy to keep up with demand and no care to hire more staff or fix the problem.

Food is great! Better than most Chinese restaurants out there and we have been to a lot of them. Our kids love their food! Sizzling beef, dry breaded ribs, Chinese barbecue chicken, beef gai lan to name a few. Always love the food, atmosphere and especially their prices! Owners and staff are wonderful!

Tried this for the first time and I got to say it was very good veal was perfect and the pork was great prices are pretty average but not to expensive. The food was worth every penny! It can be very busy and wait times go up but it's worth it! Service was great we had an awesome server Candice!

Holy portion size batman! The staff was friendly, the portions were a good quality size and substance ( beef fried rice had lots of beef in it chicken balls were mostly chicken and not just ball)! Taste was also pretty good, worth a visit! Tell them Brown sent ya! Please like my reviews!

Wok house it our go to for chinese!!! The wait is usually really long which is how you know it's going to be good. Love the lemon chicken and sweet and sour shrimp, but every other dish is always great as well. Quality and service is consistent, and we will continue to support!

Dont ask for delivery. It was good food, would of been better if it was hot. I feel like an in house experience or a pick up would have been better, but it took them an hour and a half to get my food here and I only live 10 minutes, at most, from the restaurant.

Great atmosphere food prices are great the food size of the dishes are hugh. You will never go wrong eating there, and there are a lot of leftovers. With a party of 3 or 4 people. $45.00feeds everyone with leftovers to take home. Great value for you money.

Ordered beef and brocolli for under $14. Recieved brocolli and beef. Tasty but very disappointed as only 8 peices of beef ranging from decent (expected) size to quite small. There need to be a better balance or change the name to brocolli and beef.

Probably the best Chinese restaurant when it comes to taste and price. It can get really busy but it is worth waiting for. Staff are nice and accommodating. Don’t confuse this with the one from Portage, that one is a 0 star compared to this one.

This used to be my go to place for good Chinese food for good price, but it really started slipping until recently. The new staff seems much more engaged and friendly. The food is much better and served hot and quickly. I hope they keep it up

Ordered food for delivery. Was advised it would be 1 hour for delivery. I asked how long for pick up as I am 1 minute away. Was advised 25 minutes for pick up. I arrived in under 25 minutes. Food was ready. Which was great. I drove directly

Food is always served piping hot. Very flavorful. Cooked as you order. The staff are very friendly and on point. They can feel if you need anything like water refill. Prices are extremely reasonable and the servings are awesome.

If you haven’t eaten here please do! The food is full of flavour and has always been my favourite Chinese restaurant by far. The portions are big and food is always fresh. Kung pao chicken is my favourite dish from here, enjoy!!
