James O'Connor;Marina Boggi Dear Sirs I would like to inform you of the above-mentioned Solicitors at Woodfords. To place this in to context: I am an advisor to.........who was facing a bankruptcy petition from HMRC. There had been 16 adjournments (for various reasons - First tier tribunal hearings, ........... health and numerous others). However, we were drinking at the last chance saloon and HMRC were not going to agree to any more adjournments and were seeking to bankrupt Mr . Such a result would have course resulted in HMRC/administrators et all selling Mr property (a charge was already on it) in order to satisfy the petitioned debt with the obvious addition of one of the appointed 'big four' accountancy firms fees etc. Clearly the sale would not have been at market price and the accountants in these matters tend to, as I'm sure you are doubtless aware, have a tendancy in these matters to rack up the fees. Mr West would have been ruined. A Bridging loan was arranged and secured on the property in order to put finance in place to satisfy the debt. This brings me to the crux of the matter. After a recommendation regarding Woodfords I was put in touch with James. From the very outset James recognised the tight timetable we were under. Not only did he comprehend all and every circumstance, he was constantly on the ball to what proved to be a more problematic than anticipated transaction and was always available to answer questions from both myself and the other side. One of the issues was the need to transfer title into Mr West's name from family members. Recognising the obvious conflict of interest, James brought Marina in to the process who proved to be equally efficient and showed great kindness in arranging to go to Mr elderly mothers house and facilitate all that was needed. The end result was that in no small part to James and Marina, the transaction was completed in time to the satisfaction of HMRC and the debt owed to them has been satisfied. I wanted to inform you that both James and Marina are a credit to themselves, Woodfords and indeed the legal profession. Should you require any more feedback please do not hesitate to ask. They got in touch, rectified the issue, and apologised. Turned out the monies were due to be paid by the other party. When they couldn't receive them they chase me instead! Disastrous. ----- Hope this goes to anyone with a brain here. I also hope they have a lot of lost revenue and learn from their mistakes. 2 years (yes 2 years) after Woodfords provided service, got their monies, and made a happy customer I get this automated email: Tite: unpaid Woodfords balance Dear, I hope you are well. After performing an audit of our accounts (2 years later haha), our records show that you owe Woodfords £X. To prevent the accrual of charges, namely by interest charged at 8% per annum (straight to the point), I would be grateful for settlement of this amount to be made no later than 3 weeks (someone is in a rush!). Attached is a copy of the Statement of Account, showing how your account is in a deficit. So my questions to whoever is running this - You are threatening me in bold red to pay for your incompetence after 2 years of providing service. - You didn't even take 1 minute to explain the reason. Just sent an automatic email from a system. You could have at least use ChatGPT. - Your solicitor misspelled my name and miswrote my postcode on the Land Registry title which is likely the reason for this double charge. I have all the emails. Which is 100% your fault and not mine. - You turned a happy customer into a very unhappy customer. I would have actually used you in my next property transaction. Lost revenue. - You will receive a lot of online bad reviews about this. Lost revenue. - You have no understanding of customer service and that being a solicitor is all about people relationships. - You would rather all the above than write off a hundred quid. What a joke.

I used Woodfords in 2016 to buy a flat with a share of the freehold. The freehold is owned by a limited company and I have 3 shares in this company as do the other 2 owners. 9 shares in total, however at no time at all when I was buying did Woodfords say I should be or consider being a Director of the LTD company. They did not point out any advantages / disadvantages of this, they, I believe should also as the professionals make a recommendation re the Ltd Co and directorship.what happens if the sole director dies? Further problems... I have been in dispute for 3 years now with the sole director of the Ltd Co, he is refusing to add me as a director on the grounds he doesn’t like me! He doesn’t like me because I am trying to spend money on the house, split into 3 flats and the other 2 owners don’t want to spend any money. This saga looks set to run and run. I asked Woodfords today, 3 years later to assist me, they said no unless I paid them £800 plus vat. I refused to pay as they should have dealt with this properly in 2016 and I am reporting them to the law society too. They chose to say they have nothing to answer to, I asked for them to do the job that was left unfinished in 2016, they declined. Please draw your own conclusions, you instruct professionals who do not do a professional job and then want to charge you again. Not very professional. I had used them for 3 property purchases and and 2 property sales SINCE 2016, no customer service or loyalty to clients. AVOID.

My experience with Woodfords has been absolutely seamless. Kealy Reardon was recommended to me by my brother in law who also purchased recently, and I can only extend the recommendation further. I struggle to fault the experience in any way. Even amidst the uncertainty due to COVID-19, things have progressed unaffected and very efficiently. I certainly felt like I had all the support I needed throughout the property buying process. Kealy is very approachable and she answered all of my questions that I had either via email or a phone call. Thoroughly professional that met my requirement and follow up calls/emails to ensure I am getting the service I require. Kealy handled our property purchase and I really cannot commend her enough! The whole process was extremely stress free and I am certain a massive part of this was down to Kealy and her hard work in ensuring that every step from offer acceptance to exchange and completion was as smooth as possible. Shelley was absolutely brilliant from start to finish in assisting us with purchasing our first property. Despite the additional challenges due to the pandemic everything went as smoothly as it could and Shelley was always very responsive to any requests and replied in good time. Using a company like Woodfords (rather than an online only business often suggested by Estate agents) was definitely the right decision and we felt very reassured that we were getting an excellent and through service throughout. I would not hesitate to recommend them and Shelley especially.

Worst experience ever! Avoid this firm. Finally after 2 years I get some money back after Legal Ombudsman get involved. I had experienced: delays from 14 up to 28 days to get a response; incorrect advice, superficial and incomplete assistance received, failure to advice on strategy. The way of handling of my matter has left me feeling unsupported and as though my matter is insignificant and can be brushed off and set aside as it is unimportant. Look somewhere else and save your money, time and a considerable level of stress which this firm can cause you.

Over the last 2 and a half years of selling our flat in Parsons Green we have had the pleasure of working with Kealy Reardon at Woodfords. Kealy dealt with the sale in a highly professional and friendly manner. Dealing with things even when we had an aborted sale, she would offer us to contact her if worried when she was working over a weekend.
