The Woodward Gallery is, in my experience, the go-to Gallery for contemporary art. The owners, John and Kristine Woodward, are incredibly knowledgeable about the art and artists they represent. The range of art styles they have in the gallery is extensive, so the gallery has work to satisfy anyone interested in having art in their home and /or office. The gallery’s prices are fair, and the attention the Woodwards give their clients is wonderful; people who are just starting to collect art get as much attention as long-standing knowledgeable collectors. I am happy to give the Woodward Gallery a 5-star review. I’m only sorry I can’t give them more.

I first visited the Woodward Gallery in 2007 and since that time some of the finest and most innovative exhibitions I've seen in New York have been presented at this gallery. I was most recently at a new Woodward show two weeks ago. An added plus is that the gallery not only presents the work of exceptional artists, they maintain close working relationships with their artists and often introduce them to the customers who purchase their work. It is perhaps the most artist/customer friendly gallery in the city. Kris and John Woodward present art and artists in the finest manner possible. Five stars forever.

As a long time New Yorker artist, it is amazing that our paths did not cross directly until recently. The common thread that finally united us was Richard Hambleton. The Woodwards always had his back until his recent passing.. and I learned how kind and honest they are to this date in the often otherwise art scene. I may find other galleries who's programs align with my curiosity more- but these two continue to sponsor and promote their artist friends - and they do that like human gold.

They belong to some pathetic troll trying to take down the reputation of a well-meaning small business. This gallery is a gem of the Lower East Side and the gallery owners are some of the most honest, hardworking individuals who I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing.

The Woodwards are an exceptional resource and gallery owners. They take the time to learn about their customers likes and needs. They do what it takes to educate you in your potential purchases and get you by far the best prices. Whether you male a purchase or not they treat you well. This is why they have been in business for almost 30 yrs. I only shop with them!
