Offers a lot of stuff and you can even get some sandwiches and desert here for a really affordable price. If you are on a low budget this is a great place. It is also a good place to shop if you need gifts. We got a lot of chocolates to gift our relatives and most of the stuff had a decent discount on it. I really like this place because they got everything with the affordable price. Best place to get grocery shopping in Sydney city. Probably the biggest (and busiest) Woolworths store in Sydney if not Australia. Three levels all with easy access from George Street or via Town Hall station. A wide range of instant eating food and beverages as well as the usual big brands. Self service checkouts outnumber cashiers in this store so always good to do your shopping out of the busy hours if you have a lot to buy. I went there A few minutes ago and I found the people who were working in the kitchen to prepare some foods like chicken and fries so friendly and helpful. Thanks for your amazing customer service in the kitchen to look after customers like me. Appreciate your kindness.
Worst experience in Sydney. The self-checkout helper in the underground food section was really rude. (It was a middle-aged woman) forced me to check my passport for not signing my card. Other marts kindly informed me there was no problem, but the helper here got very angry and shouted out loud. My kid was terrified and I was also in a bad mood. I would have accepted it if she had spoken in a normal way. Why should I scold you if I didn't do anything wrong? I will never visit again during my stay in Sydney. Get your staff trained straight. What a waste of a star!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everything available that you need to stock up on your food and vegetables and beverage grocery items. This Woolies had a full range of fresh produce, groceries and frozen goods. Good service by the service desk staff member and the transaction smooth quick efficient and without fuss. Good location with easy access and plenty of space to move around. Though could be different during peak periods when visitors come to town to stay. Tram stop out the front and direct entry from Town Hall Station. Overall good store and has everything I needed and stocked everything I wanted.
Hands down the best Woolies ever. Though it might look smaller than most of the Woolies but it's split in two levels. Ones got direct access through the town hall station and other entry is from the street level. Always hectic and still everything looks clean and in order. Has got a couple of check out points when it's too crowded, and the best bit is the hot food. They have an amazing selection for when you want to pick up something to munch on the go
Very poor service. I bought the groceries around 8:00 p.m. today. The last cashier's woman treated me so badly. My change was not given back to me. And, I questioned her” where was my change ?”She hasn't even apologised. Was she just say, "$ 5 cents"? And gives a pouting face as if it's necessary. $5 cents wasn't interesting to me. However, you ought to give it to me first, even if I decline. I'll say you're free to keep it. Don’t do that to people.
A little confusing with the store over multiple floors with narrow escalator connecting them but eventually found the right place. I needed help on speciation on tech item that I couldn't find on the net or merchant's website. The store assistant was able to find the answer after about 15 minutes of searching documentation. All good, good service, broard smile and unanticipated discount on purchase. Pleasantly satisfing experience
I come here to buy affordable meat. This is a larger store, so more options are available for price and other considerations. The location is convenient, as it is right adjacent to Town Hall train station, accessible metres away from the concourse ticket gates. Good accessbility, as there is a lift inside the shop which I used when travelling with a suitcase and doing some shopping. Has all the necessities at reasonable prices.
Probably the biggest (and busiest) Woolworths store in Sydney if not Australia. Three levels all with easy access from George Street or via Town Hall station. Nearly all shelves where empty ? Come one guys spend few dollars and have a staff member filling them up For a busy store like that this is really not acceptable, does this store not get audited ? How come the manager can keep the role with so many empty shelves, i am disappointed Otherwise the location is good , usually i love woolys Good luck on finding your goods
Fantastic hypermarkets where you can find your all daily grocery and different kind of your daily requirement. it’s consist of multifloor (Store) and you can use the escalator inside the hypermarket to to go through these floors also, they have multi cashier counters as well as self cashier where you can also go out very quickly without need to wait in long queue.
An essential and important store to have in the middle of the City. Reason being, the shop provides for all types of customers and stocks many, many items that simply cannot be purchased anywhere else in the vicinity of this city area. Without this Town Hall Woolworths branch, many people would simply be at a loss as to where to shop. Sincerely, Thomas Stevens.
Quite nice. It has just about everything you could want. Staples, snacks, beauty products, household care products, drinks, and more. The setup is quite nice and clean on the inside as well though the shelves are a bit small with brand boxes still on them. Lots of self checkout to get out quickly.
I think this Woolworths is poorly organised, and poorly signed. It's my first time buying some items and it took a while for me to understand that there was another floor with more/other items I needed. The only positive I would say is there are numerous ways to checkout, tills, self-serve, etc.
More a multilevel convenience store than a supermarket. Prices are what you would expect being in the middle of the city, fresh food doesn't seem to last very long from here. Only real benefit is sheer convenience. Has Australia's most oddly stocked Big W on the top floor.
Dropped my opal card here recently at the checkouts. Retraced my steps a couple of hours later. The staff (especially the security guard, and Tina) could not have been more friendly and helpful. They had found it and kept it safe ready for when I came back. Lovely people.
I don't think you can possibly leave a Woolworths without a smile on your face. This place in particular has a nice and compact two layer layout as well as a 3rd layer Big W. There is a dedicated sushi, hot food, sandwich and drinks section.
A guy named "Gerome" on the cashier area or check out area was there today Oct 17 .. i think that was his name on the name tag .. he was an old guy with glasses on.. .. and he was not nice ... I bought a banana that doesn't have any tag on
It feels hectic, a bit disorganised, a bit unkempt, though it has a pretty big range for use by a multi-day, apartment-dwelling visitor to the city (not the range of its main competitor in town, which feels better laid out over one floor,
Conveniently located near Town Hall train station as well as several bus stands. A wide selection of goods. Worth to compare prices with the competitor major supermarket as i did find some items cheaper and some items more expensive there.
The few times I have popped in either self service or manual check out I have found the staff to be polite and friendly which can be a rear thing these days unfortunately. So I would recommend this shop for your daily top ups.. thanks to
Convenient location centre of city with access from street or train station level. Ground level more luxury food items, like confectionary, basement your regular supermarket. Upper levels odds & bods. Directly opposite Town Hall & Queen
A good store to have in the middle of the city. I notice lots of people who use Town Hall railway get their evening supplies or supplies for the workday ahead. Fairly good range of items and a new addition to the top floor of Big W.
Great place for anything you want from a supermarket. Reasonable prices . Sells alcohol. Pedestrian location. No parking . Very busy . Stays open till late . Been here a few times to stock up. They do have a reward card
What a crazy, crazy store! They specialize in junk food, candy, and stuff that you can pick up for really cheap. The few times we were in there it was an absolute zoo, but their prices are extraordinarily good.

I like this Woolworths.. they have several floors for different products and it's easy to find the items... stuffs are helpful also... it's near the train station.. so the location is very convenient...
The woolworths at Town Hall is very small is lacking in a variety of products. The prices are unnecessarily expensive, hurting the Australian consumer. Do better woolworths the fresh food people
No logic in the store layout other than that convenience food is on the ground floor and fresh food and groceries are on the lower ground level. Otherwise we found everything we needed.
Is a good place to be. There is a lot of products with a mini price. Good variety. Friendly people and more. I love to see and to bay there. Almost all days I going there.
Useless. Worst woolworths I've been to. Whatever's on special is always out of stock, and the range makes it barely worth visiting. The Coles down the road is much better.
Very small big w. It should be called little w. Don't waste your time and go to eastgardens or kmart Broadway instead. It was a total waste of tram fare getting there.
Love Michelle service , every time I feel welcome and placed . She is very organized and well packer. City life is busy and stress but she can make my day every time
The Most dirty disgusting and disgraceful supermarket in the world! There are also a lot of unsavoury / homeless people constantly abusing customers here as well!
Good deals .. I was attracted to the chocolates and beverage sections. Look for reduced prices and I bought the coffee (Robert Timms 200g) at AUD4.00
Hate having to shop here. Smallest woolworths with the most customers, along with three levels. Definitely somewhere you go only for essentials
Crazy layout on 2 levels, but staff were very pleasant, especially the guy on the entrance/exit. Lots of interesting items. Very busy place.
AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE TO NAVIGATE EVERY - SINGLE - TIME! The floor configuration is a nightmare, the whole freaking shop is spread all
I love this one. So convinient to buy groceries from here then go to train on way back home. Various products. Various range price.
It was great. There was a huge variety of drinks chips and chocolate. You could even get an opal card here.
Not your typical woolies.... Empty shelfs, rotten produce, homeless sleep outside of the door.
