I recommend this place more Wills St, Kew A hidden gem nestled in the suburb of Kew, nicknamed ‘The Dog Park’ – because whenever you go there you are sure to meet a furry friend. This picnic spot is an escape from the hustle and bustle of Melbourne’s CBD that is located so close that it seems too good to be true.. The scenic view of the Melbourne city skyline is nestled among native trees and bushland of the area, making this spot the perfect location for nature lovers. While you’re there, why not take a carefree stroll down to the Yarra Boulevard? Nearby is the tranquil BellBird Park, another favourite picnic spot that connects to many other scenic trails along the Yarra River.
So I am cycling and I stop in this lookout for a short break. I am about to start again I realise that I got a flat tir. Maybe it was a piece of class. so I call my mate and ask him to pick me up and I wait around 40 minutes and it was epic to have the lookout just next to me. I could say that they were the best 40 minutes of my day
Why haven't I done this before I keep asking myself! Such a good walk, so much to keep your interest. It even goes through Collingwood Farm and past the rapids on Yarra Bend. One minute you're in bushland next you see the city buildings.

This is a really special spot. Amazing for sunsets or star gazing, it’s accessible by car or by a couple of nice bush trails and it gives you great views without having to walk too far if you’ve got young uns or old uns. The hill is quite a ride if you’re a cyclist, worth keeping an eye out if you’re driving through.
Wurundjeri Spur Abbotsford Loop walking trail: It’s more of a long walk than hiking trail. Trail signage isn’t best and in the last one section is washed away that can put you off the trail but you cannot be lost It’s another gem in urban Melbourne. I highly recommend it.

ONE OF THE MANY AMAZING PUBLIC SPACES IN MELBOURNE This lookout is in inner city Melbourne but when on the track to it you may as well be in the "outback". It's great that Melbourne protects these parks and reserves from development. Its tranquil and relaxing and a fairly easy walk
This is a five minute stop along the road for a quick photo of the city of Melbourne. On this bend is a trail which goes to the city and to the fair field boat house. Their is not much left here but in years gone by this was a very bust place as it’s near the old nut house
Visited Melbourne and thought I'd check out one of the local lookouts, unfortunately Melbourne is relatively flat so the view was somewhat underwhelming. Still worth checking out, but now I've seen it I don't think I'll need to visit again
Located just about 500m of M3 off of Chandler Hwy; This is a serene lookout that really does come alive at night; Stunning, sweeping views of the city amidst greenery and isolation. What else could someone ask for.
Im fairly newish to Melbourne and I though it was all flat so this was a nice suprise... a nice local lookout and easy walking trail rather than having to drive all the way out to the Dandenongs for a hill walk.
Well, it’s not only a lookout. It’s a place where you can either walk, run or ride your bike for miles and miles. Fantastic scenery and serene environment. It is the place to go really if you’re after hiking
Most of the look out points needed a bit of walking.. not for me. If you like great walking tracks ,cycling and motorbike runs a big YES .. lots of curvy roads and hilly terrain. Beautiful. …
I was in the look out with my girlfriend a bunch of boys they start disturbed us and come near to my car by cover his face it's was too scary it's not a good place to go with family and kids
It is a Great view.. we went through ncheck it out, to see if we could come back and view the fireworks for newt years... But there isn't much parking there so we decided against it
Feels like small nature reserve. Great place to be at. Driving to lookout is experience in itself, single lane road with nice curves and awesome view. Just 5.5kms from CBD.
Great views of the city, but too many people dump their rubbish here, its a real shame. Otherwise a very nice spot to watch sun rise or set. Rise probably better than set
The whole of the park is just an oasis of country smack bang in the middle of Melbourne but this spot is easily accessible for magnificent views of the park and the cbd
Nice view of Melbourne CBD. There are a few car spots to stop and enjoy the view. There is also a bridge where you can walk and see the city view and also the highway.
Great spot to take in views of the city and to view New Year's fireworks. If coming for New Year's, get there about midday as the good spots always get taken early.
A lovely view of the city, best experienced at night. Park near the sign, then walk along the road. The path through the trees goes to the Fairfield boathouse.
I really liked that place. Melbourne CBD view is awesome. Down the track is little river. Council need to trim the trees from viewpoint for better experience
What a great place to get a great view of the city. And the road that it's on is a great twisty bike ride.

Good place for street racing in inner city Melbourne, just be careful for nagging cyclists and pedestrians. When they're not around it's a nice bit of road.
One of my regular stop off points cycling around Melbourne. The view of the skyscrapers across the inner city forest in Kew and Fairfield is a world view.
What a fantastic place to get a view and photo of the city

Awesome place to find yourself amidst nature and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere. Additionally there is a bicycle path for a casual ride.. …
A nice place to sit in your car, have a coffee and enjoy the magical scene of CBD at night. Take your camera with you, you will take great shots !
Great spot to relax with friends, car and bike enthusiasts. The blvd ‘run’ is a nice relaxing drive with beautiful and amazing views
Not a bad lookout I suppose, you don't get a good vantage point but the scenery is very nice, having the mesh of the city and bush.
Top viewpoint to watch the sunset over the city skyline and shortly after see thousands of flying foxes head out into the suburbs.
Amazing view from here, great for some relaxing moment. Unfortunately the weather aren't really supportive on the day I come here
Great view, close to CBD, great twisty roads. For motorcycles be aware of bumpy surface and tricky corners especially southbound
Best view of the city, especially for fireworks and other special events. Lookout is accessible by walking, cycling or driving.
What can I say! The views, the vibe riding around the boulevard....it's not Hollywood boulevard but it's close ;) Really nice
It's okay for a stop if you walk up the hill after crossing the pipe bridge. You can see the city through a gap in the trees.
The city view is now hindered by the tall bushes but the walk is still pleasant and you can spot some beautiful birds
Amazing view of the city and sounds from Native cultures worldwide. Found this place by chance and I love it.
Great view of the city nearby, especially at night, and nice walk down the path to theyarra bend park area.
The view of city skyline and the time of sunset has to be one of the best places to visit in Melbourne :)
Very pretty but I would go during the day as there is a nice walking trail to do aswell. Spooky at night.
Neat little hiking / biking / boating area. Good scones , lots of places to sit and lounge on a nice day
The view is limited but still amazing. Worthy to visit in different weather conditions and times of day.
Good place to get a view of the city. Ride, row or walk - there are multiple ways to explore this place.
View is nice but it's just the side of a road. Follow the path down towards the bridge for some nature.
Just another beautiful part of Melbourne to enjoy the sunset on a warm spring night! Love this town!
Best place to go to look over the city at night. its an amazing view of the best city in the world.
Trees blocked the whole view

Great lookout over the city with a few tree branches in the way. Quite a pretty evening view.
Great spot to view Melbourne city from a far. A spot to view new year's eve fireworks too.
Although access is limited, there are great views towards the city, especially at sunset.
Great spot to view the city skyline .I'm hoping to come back and get some awesome sunsets
An excellent view back to Melbourne CBD and of the surrounding bush. Well worth a visit.
A little paradise in the burbs, with a great look of nature with the city as a backdrop
Great place to come check out, day or night. Night views of lit up city is incredible.
Great views of the melb cbd and surrounding suburbs♂️ …
A nice lookout and excellent walking and cycling tracks along the river.
Great view! Just make sure to get here early to get a good spot …
Gorgeous scenery, great place for a little walk, ride, or family time
Wonderful place could have some minor changes but overalls great spot
A part of a longer ~17km hike, one of the best inner city hikes.
awesome place. Lookout is nice but trees have blocked view now.
Great point to see the sun setting over our beautiful city
Nice views, although the trees are getting a bit big.
Cool area to have a natural view of the CBD Skyline.
Great city views and good cycling/walking area too.
Gets quite busy at all times of the day and night!
It’s just amazing
