Unhelpful, neglectful and misleading throughout the tenancy. Had a flickering kitchen light that I couldn't fix but my emails were repeatedly ignored. I had to break my lease early due to a job relocation, and the agents were difficult and misleading. They tried to make me pay more fees, both for the original letting fee (which i found out after asking for proof of the landlord's original receipt), and they initially insisted it shouldn't be adjusted pro rata, contradicting what it said in the contract. The break was an incredibly stressful. They were often impossible to get ahold of and I was quickly running out of time before I had to move. Luckily, I found a tenant they could simply transfer the lease to but my agent was on holiday so I had to ask someone else. I tried organising this with the main property manager, but after a week of slow replies and vague answers, they simply said any help they were giving was only as a favour to their colleague and I can wait. All they needed to do was make a phone call... I reached out to their director about my concerns but received no reply. I'm glad i did research on my rights and called CAV because otherwise I would be paying hundreds more. I'll never have anything to do with these guys again and hope no landlord puts their tenants under this sort of stress. But to note, they forgot to send me the initial condition report and never did any inspections the whole time I was there.
