"Nice little reserve you wouldn't know it was there"
An unexpected jem next to a very busy road. Woodland, meadow and wild pond in a small area. Orchids carpeted the meadow and the number and species of dragonfly and damselfly around the pond needs to be seen to be believed. Saw a fat legged beetle, lots of ringlet and meadow brown butterflies. The path up to the meadow is quite rutted and probably not suitable for wheelchairs. Parking is either in the industrial park about 300m before the reserve or on the side of a track at the back of Ledston Luck villiage.

Decent nature reserve. The paths are very muddy so wear boots. There is a variety of habitats from woods to wetland to meadow. It's fairly small but that's fine. Wouldbe good if they got a couple of bike stands at the entrance or maybe a bike stand at industrial parkwhich is owned by the council. I didn't cycle and your not supposed to which makes a lot of sense. It forms part of a set of nature reserves ehich go along the Aire Valley.
