What is absolutely striking about this stadium is the array of electronic shops all around the ground floor of the stadium. It has overshadowed the stadium itself. The surrounding area is very congested, ill maintained and the whole place needs a major overhaul. Being such a prestigious stadium it warrants better disposition.

The stadium is not in use. It is famous for the chaupati outside it. Nagpur city development authority is working on to improve the near by area, parking, shopping complex etc near stadium, but the work is too much slow and it will take few more years to get over.

The stadium is good. Talking about the outside, last time I went there, too many people were there. Restaurants selling Pav Bhaji and the famous long pani-puris are available here. Many years earlier, I went to a circus near this place, wonderful it was.
