To the question "Did you use this company's services?" I checked the "yes" box, although it would be more accurate to say that I tried to use this company's services but failed and do not intend to ever try to use them again. After a very satisfactory 4 days in the Fairmont Hotel, I needed to catch a train at 6:50 am on Monday morning, May 2, in Union Station. The night before I scheduled, through the hotel, a taxi pick-up at 6:15 am. I got a confirmation text message from the company, and was downstairs at 6:11 am, ready for pick-up. At 6:18 am I realized that the cab must have come and left with other passengers than the ones for whom he had been reserved -- many people at the hotel had gone to the same meeting I had and were leaving early, most to the airport (which is probably a more lucrative because longer ride for the cab driver). I asked the hotel to get me another cab. When the next cab arrived from this company, the driver refused to take me -- he had been scheduled for a ride to Reagan airport by a different customer; when I protested, he pointed to the cab from his company that should have taken me (it had the right number), which was just driving off having loaded up passengers at a different hotel across the street. Fortunately, soon after this a cab from a different company drove by, for hire; it got me to Union Station just in time to catch my train, earning a $10 tip from me. If you have a choice of cab companies, do not use this one. I hope to convince the Fairmont Hotel to likewise direct their business elsewhere. The standards of this cab company do not correspond to their own wonderful standards of service.
I just had a terrible experience with a driver. His system declined my card. I kindly offered to go inside my building - which has an atm in the lobby - to get cash for him. He asked me to leave my purse in he car while I went. I obviously refused. He then offered to drive me to an atm to get cash. I told him I was uncomfortable with a stranger taking me away from the location. I offered again to use the ATM in my lobby to pay him. He gave me the option again of leaving my purse in the car or going with him to an atm at an undisclosed location. I told him no and suggested if he was refusing to let me pay him, he might as well call the cops. They showed up 40 minutes later - totally agreed with me on my concerns for my safety, and escorted me in to the atm in my building. My card worked immediately in the atm - leaving me very sketched out and doubtful that it was declined in the car. The cab driver was paid and left. What a terrible experience. I’ll never use this cab company again. I’ll be calling my bank in the morning to tell them to look for fraudulent activity on the card.
After getting stranded at Union Station (Train) I walked out and asked a cabby to take to my destination. He said my bags were too big....ok cool. Then there were literally about 15 other cabs from the same company there. One of the guys asked where I was going and I showed him the address. He talked to another cabby for a few mins. They put the address in the GPS and I waited for possibly another 10 minutes until one of the cabbies decided to take the job.....hmmmmmm, the one guy was like TIP him because he's the only one willing to take the job. Well I tipped him and I get the notion that this wasn't a high paying route. Now keep in mind that I paid a cabby $72 with a $10 tip so $82, earlier for a ride from Dulles Airport to the train station. So adding another $30 in to an address less than 5 miles away was not in my plans but I paid and tipped. So this is how taxi cabs in DC operate? Choosing not to take you because it doesn't pay enough. I will make sure to always drive here from now on.
Was left stranded in DC late at night! I booked using their ap. It said they were 9 mins away. 20 mins later it said 8 mins away (I guessed traffic at the time). It finally showed 3 mins away. Then I get an automated call saying my cab was there. I was standing on a lighted corner in front of the business I listed, no cab visible down either street. I called the number listed and she said the driver had left since I was a no show! (Pretty sure I saw a taxi saying Yellow Cab coming from down the street with someone in the back.) I requested another cab. Did it over the phone. Unfortunately this left me unable to track on the ap. 40 mins later I called back and was advised there was still no one available. (I should have been told that up front or called back and advised! She did apologize a lot, but at 11:20 at night I was pretty upset.) Luckily a different cab driver (whom I turned away twice because I thought I had someone coming) came by a third time and took me to my hotel.
I called at 9am and ordered a taxi for 9;30. Specifically asked for a mini van because we have 5 passengers and a lot of luggage. At 9:40 I called and asked where my taxi was . It was late.. At 9:45 received a call from a dispatcher asking if we still needed the taxi and I said yes 15 mins ago. I emphasized we are a party of 5 with luggage going to the airport. 5 mins later a Prius showed up. At that point I told him we have to cancel and order an Uber so that we don’t miss our flight. Within 6 mins our Uber arrived. After departing in the Uber and being told by the text I received that my taxi was cancelled I received a call from the driver who said he was there. By that time we had already been gone 10 mins. I’m sorry for the driver who arrived late because I don’t think it was his fault. I think there’s a flaw in the dispatch process. They need to understand if someone calls and gives a 30 min window that you expect an on time arrival not someone who is 45 mins late.
Where to begin with this horrible service!! Had I been booking, I would never have used them based on reviews, but the hotel booked them for us. Keller picked us up, and everything was going okay until his mile tracker died and he spent the next 15 minutes swerving all over the road trying to charge it, to which he was unsuccessful. Then, we arrive, and he tries to tell me "let's just call it $80" for what every app had at a MAX $50. We argued because he was clearly taking advantage of the not charged device *which was HIS fault), and then tries to scam me, and he's yelling at me telling me Uber is $200 (it was a 35 minute trip mind you on a normal night, no holidays or special events) which I look up on my phone and it's clearly $50. Finally, we pay him $70 because it's late and we're quite rattled and exhausted by this point. TERRIBLE. Honestly, if you're desperate to get somewhere, I would walk hours before using this service again.
We had a wonderful experience with Yellow Cab this week. When I made my reservation the night before for a 4:15 am pick-up, the operator was not the friendliest but I wasn't bothered by it. He was taking my info and that was all. My husband and I kind of laughed because I wasn't too confident in the reservation when hanging up! BUT within a minute of hanging up, I was pleasantly surprised to get a text confirmation. The next morning, a little before 4:00 am, I received a text confirming my driver was en route and I was able to track his progress. Our driver, Khalil, was amazing. He was kind, helpful with our many bags and overly thoughtful. He was about 10 minutes early from our requested time and was very professional. The technology is clearly in response to Uber and I'm happy to see as I can't stand uber and want to give my business to professional taxi drivers. Will definitely use again.
This is only getting a one-star review because I can't leave a zero. I called the night before to schedule an 8:00 A.M pick-up for the following morning for me and my family, a total of seven people. We had a scheduled 8:30 A.M. tour. When I called, I could only leave a message so I went on their website instead to schedule. I received a phone call several hours later to confirm. While on the phone, I asked him to confirm that all seven of us could ride in one vehicle. He said that it was a mini-van and would be able to hold all seven. As soon as the driver pulled up the next morning and saw how many passengers there were, he shook his head said only four. We ended up just calling for two Uber's the rest of our stay and never had an issue. A little more expensive but very worth. Do not use Yellow Cab. They are horrible.
I used the app for a ride for 4 people. They said they were less than 5 minutes away. I got a call 15 minutes later from them stating that they were at the destination. That would have been fine but they didn’t pick us up first. Realizing the mistake they said they would be back to the pickup point in 7 minutes. A half hour later they showed up with a Camry and said we could not have anyone in the front seat. They expected us to illegally squeeze 4 adults into the back seat with only three seatbelts. They offered to call a larger cab but at this point we had already been in the cold for almost an hour. We used another ride share and our driver with an appropriate sized car was there in less than 5 minutes. I tried to give the cad a try but they were rude and incapable of giving the service they promote.
Yellow Cab of DC: Happy for those of you that had a good experience. We used the cab service from Union Station on a Thursday during rush hour to take us to our hotel. The following Sunday 8 AM called for a pick up at the hotel to take us back to Union Station. This return trip was double what we paid on Thursday. I questioned the drive he said maybe wasn't as much traffic on Thursday. I told him our trip to the hotel took 20 minutes and this trip took 12 minutes needless to say he had already gotten his gratuity. I called the cab company and was told there was a $2.00 dispatch fee and the lady hung up. With a $2 added charge the cost still does not add up. It wasn't worth calling back. Lesson learned call another cab company or use uber or lyft.
I used this taxi service on 8/15 and was quite happy with the driver. I subsequently booked with them again on a Wednesday for a 4am pick up on 9/1 from my home again. When I called to make sure everything was still fine, the automated service stated I was scheduled for my 4 am pick up. I decided to call back to speak to a representative and then I was told my reservation had been cancelled -the night before my flight! I received no email or phone call and I was also told they don’t pick up in Maryland plus the time was too early. I explained I was picked up from my home in Maryland before with no issues…but apparently that meant nothing. Needless to say having to scramble for an alternative solution at the last minute is unsat!!
I called and waited outside in the rain for my taxi when it said it arrived, which it didn't. Once it did they took another group of people rather than me. I called to complain, but they hung up on me when I couldn't provide the address to my location, which would have been easy to look up since it was the Smithsonian air and space museum. I called again, he asked for my number, and as I was looking for it he hung up again probably because I was taking too long, a whole 5 seconds. I had great service in the morning, but these people at night are the worst crazies I have ever wasted an hour of my time on and definitely don't recommend hiring their service. Do uber, or go mass transit, even in the rain. That's what I learned here.
I called Friday afternoon, February 18th, to secure a cab for a Saturday early morning trip to the airport. On Saturday morning, when the taxi failed to arrive, I called again. And despite repeated assurances that the driver was on the way and/or near my house, he or she never arrived and I missed my flight. I actually missed the entire trip and have incurred $75 in change fees from the airline. I expected a much higher level of service from the company, and I am quite disappointed. If they had simply told me that they would be unable to deliver me to the airport or that they needed more than a day's notice, I would have made other plans. Instead, I have lost a trip that cannot be repeated and time that cannot be regained.
What a disaster. We booked a cab online as they were the closest cab co to our hotel (less than 2 miles away) The site accepted and confirmed our booking. We waited in vain for the cab to arrive - and as I had a conference to attend I called them - only to be told that our hotel was TOO FAR AWAY and they wouldn't be coming. No attempt was made to contact me or the hotel to say they weren't coming. The operator was so rude and dismissive finally deciding that our hotel was " in a restricted area" with no further details. Absolutely abysmal service, shocking attitude and blantant lies as we have seen several of their cabs drop fares at the hotel. Not sure how they can have a tagline of service-reliability- commitment
I wish I could give them 0 stars. This is by far the worst private company I have ever had to deal with. Hopefully they go out of business and someone better replaces them. My initial misfortunate was when I booked their services to drive me to an airport a few months ago. After calling to check in on why the cab was late, the dispatcher flat out lied that the driver had tried to reach me and I hadn't picked up the call. Then last night I tried to book a cab only to be stonewalled by a rude and incompetent dispatcher that couldn't even tell me estimated times, or whether we were talking minutes, an hour, or multiple hours.
Should be negative stars!! This company is terrible cab driver was so rude! I called for rates never asked for the taxi etc. I called a different company which I loved after reading the review..so this crazy guy shows up yelling at me that I'm wasting time and his money.lets remember now never called him for a ride only a rate quote..and after i firmly said i had a taxi coming..he furiously gets out of his cab and started coming after me and my 3 small children!!!! (Like 4 and younger small) cursing at us and everything! Beware at all costs that guy is nuts i wouldn't call that company even if it was a last resort!
Their driver ran through a crosswalk while 6 other cars were waiting. The driver decided to blow by all of them in the merge lane, and almost hit me. The only reason he did not hit me was because I threw myself backwards toward the ground. He then immediately drove off without making sure I was ok. I called the cab company and the extremely, rude, unprofessional lady who answered the phone kept hanging up on me. She did not care that her driver could have killed someone, and he will one day since this is not being handled appropriately. Stay away from this cab company, they do NOT care about anyone's safety.
Hailed a cab to drive me 3 blocks. Cost was $5.51. The taxi driver was very upset, but I needed to use my credit card for such a small card charge. However, I had no other form of payment and did not know why this was a problem. Then when he asked about the tip, I said I’m leaving a dollar. He made a lot of very rude negative remarks. This was an incredibly uncomfortable experience and I will go back to using Uber. I was trying to use taxis. I am not from the city, but I thought it was nice to use taxis and give them business. Apparently, it’s not appreciated.
This would normally be a good service, but the two ladies working dispatch, 9/24, between 3:30-4am were very rude, and lied for 10 min straight saying the driver would arrive in seconds. After the first dispatch agent got tired of lying she passed the phone to her coworker, who answered the phone with an attitude, knowing I was the caller. She claimed that I can not get an eta, even though the company sends tracking to show you where your driver is. I waited 30 min total, just to have to cancel the ride. Pick uber, lyft, or a different cab service.
Do NOT rely on Yellow Cab DC to get you to the airport on time for a flight!!! My husband used the Yellow Cab app to schedule a ride to Dulles International Airport at a specific time on a Sunday afternoon and received a confirmation, but when the cab hadn’t appeared 5 minutes after the appointed time, checked the app and it said “driver not yet assigned.” What?!? Hey Yellow Cab don’t offer this service if you can’t reliably deliver! I had to put our child in his car seat and cancel plans for the afternoon to drive my husband to the airport.
Booked a cab 48 hours in advance. Received email and text confirmation. Waiting for cab at 430 in the morning, still receiving texts telling me it's coming. I check my email and see they canceled it on me at midnight. But i was still getting texts telling me it was coming. I had to be at airport by 5, so I called and the lady was incredibly rude and just said it's canceled. We aren't coming to get you. Thank goodness for RedTop cab, who sent a cab immediately and I still made it to the airport on time. Will NEVER use this company again.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. Today, I was almost hit by Taxi #F772. He almost caused an accident but thank God I have good brakes. I was on my way home from picking my kids up from school. He didn’t say sorry or anything. My kids were terrified. I called the company to file a complaint, and was told that I would receive a call back. DO NOT USE THIS TAXI COMPANY! They are reckless drivers and have bad customer service. I will make sure to spread the word about how I was almost run off the road with my kids in the car.
Days before my flight, I Downloaded the app and booked a cab for 540 AM to get to the airport. Went to bed the night before seeing it still booked on my “scheduled rides”. When I woke up 30 minutes before my departure, I saw my “scheduled rides” section was blank with no 540 am cab coming. In a sleepy panic, I quickly scheduled an Uber and it arrived on time. Not sure what happened here but will not be using again. If it wasn’t for Uber, we would have had to drive to the airport and spend way too much money for parking.
Scheduling can be a bit antiquated with this company. You can book online, however you can't pay online. You have to either pay in the taxi or through your phone. I only make this an issue because they accidentally sent 2 cabs which caused me to have to cancel one of them, which in turn canceled the payment out of their system. Not wanting to be double charged, it caused a ton of unnecessary confusion with the dispatchers, the two taxi drivers, and me. Otherwise, they were decent enough to use again.
I was able to pre-schedule a taxi ride for a red-eye out of DCA. The driver called when he was close to arrival, and the company's system sent texts. The driver called and waited upon arrival, which was early. The driver was courteous, we had a great conversation for 3am, and he was attentive upon drop-off. The company sent texts after asking aboutbservice and driver. I will see if service is equitable for the next few trips there, and I hope I get the same driver or someone equally pleasant.
Ordered a taxi and after 40 minutes of waiting they never showed. I ordered another taxi and when I saw that it was "10 minutes away" I waited outside for him to show up. I got a text that said he had arrived and so I was waiting for him to pull up. Never showed up. So I called to leave a complaint. The most rude customer service! He said the driver called me and I never picked up. I RECIEVED NOT ONE CALL! He said he wouldn't leave my complaint and hung up on me. The cab number was B407
Incompetent buffoons. DO NOT CALL THEM. I requested via their website a cab over 45 minutes earlier than my desired pickup time. As of the pickup time, they still hadn't sent a cab. After 30 mins overtime, they just canceled the request without a call or txt. That was so nice of them, since I had people waiting on my arrival. I ended up driving to the event, having to pay for parking and hiking a quarter mile from the nearest parking to the event - in the cold with a bum knee.
YELLOW Can is reliable and still the Top rated Cab Company that's Safety is the Moto. I'll Feel safer, more comfortable and relaxed not to mention there Rates is much lower than the other new cab companies that's disappointing that'll always for some weird reason take a longer route rather than a route that's quicker and more pleasant to view, My opinion,. Folks get back using the Old that know the corners rather than the new that'll get you late, and stressed. Thank you
Was told a different price from the app. Driver was mad that I didn’t have the cash on hand was acting all paranoid as if I wasn’t going to pay. Paid $10 in cash and the remaining balance in change which he was upset about. He had an attitude so I had one back he proceeded to say he won’t pick me up ever again. Then told the managers I didn’t pay. So now I’m banned. considering there aren’t many taxi companies in DC if I could sue I most definitely would!
Mobile app sucks. Operators and drivers aren't much better. Requested a cab for 1:20PM. Cab never came, and from the mobile app tracker I could see that the driver who accepted the ride went somewhere else and stopped there for about 15 minutes before I canceled the request. This is my third or fourth unsuccessful attempt in the last year. Tried calling the company to complain, and got routed to an answering machine. Amateurish service at best.
I read reviews of this and other cab companies and was quite worried about how it might be, but I was going to the airport very early in the morning and wanted to make sure I could reserve ahead of time. The taxi arrived a few minutes early and I had a lovely talk with the taxi driver the whole way out. It was a big expensive, but they had told me over the phone the price and that it was higher because it was before 5:00 in the morning.
I am sorry to see so many negative reviews. But from my personal experience I got very good service every time from yellow cab in DC . I usually call a cab when I have to work overtime in DC and they usually arrive within 5 minutes. There was one time I forgot to take a receipt and I got a immediate response by sending email to their customer service. I am happy with yellow cab so far. Hope they will keep doing it for other customers.
My friend and I booked 2 minivans for 12 people, 12 pieces of luggage and 12 backpacks 3 days in advance for 5am. 2 cars arrived. When we called they were not helpful and had no explanation why they didn’t let us know they couldn’t accommodate us. We were forced to split our students and the last five of us went in an Uber. My friends yellow cab was nasty and full of fast food wrappers. Do better or Uber will be your demise.
You'll be better off catching an Uber!!! They arrive in the speed of light, its cheaper, and the drivers are nicer in the morning to do their best to get you where you need to be on time. A cab driver from DC yellow cab couldn't find my exact address so he yelled at me over the phone. Found my apartment then had the nerve to park and still wait. I didn't feel safe. Told the dispatchers and made him leave!!!!
We tried booked a taxi with their online service and waited 45 minutes for it to show up and it never did. We then called the company to ask for it's status and the lady told us they couldn't pick us up from there. A call would have been nice 40 minutes earlier. We then rebooked the taxi and received a call that said our taxi was there. It wasn't at the address so we ended up walking. Terrible service
They need more accessible cabs that will actually show up when they say they will instead of leaving 2 women and 2 children in wheelchairs standing on the corner waiting for almost 3 hours when they were given an 81/2 hour notice that the cab was needed. They even sent 2 texts confirming and 2 automated calls confirming. The last text was 1 hour before they were supposed to pick us up.
1 Star is too much. Taxi request through Hyatt delivered a Camry for 4 ppl with 4 medium pcs of luggage. IF the Camry was empty we could have squeezed in for the short ride. Turns our the trunk was FULL with what looked like the personal belongings of the driver. No WAY we were fitting. He called for a van and we got a Rav4...smh. Went with Lyft which should have been our first choice.
I booked a cab for the night before I needed it. Got an actual person on the phone who did not install confidence, BUT, got a text confirming that night and the morning off. Then a text and a call from the driver who even arrived five minutes early. Very pleasant, nice, clean car, and safe ride. The only downside was that it was not inexpensive. Would definitely use again.
I'm having trouble with yellow cab they don't call me to let me know they out here and forever they say that they have counseled the ride when I'm out here on time least 15 minutes early it's just saying Services is a mess and I want to speak to the supervisor let me hold on alive for 15 and 20 minutes and then the one comes on and thenAnd then they can't help me
Yellow Cab DC and their drivers are some ABSOLUTE bull! I was hit by a cab driver, who was issued a citation for failure to stay in his lane. The cab driver has some shoddy insurance, who's giving me the run-around. I call Yellow Cab to see what they do to their drivers who cause accidents & take no accountability and they do NOTHING! I guess now Lawyers it is!
I couldn't stand the idea of walking from the convention center to the train station in DC, so I called a few cabs. This place was the only one that answered and the cab was to me in about ten minutes and dropped me off right at the door to the train station. I think this was the cab I used last year, as well, and had good experiences both times.
They rarely have cabs overnight and if you call to cancel a ride they take forever to answer. I called to cancel my last cab but I couldn't get through to the operator so when my driver called expecting to pick me up and I told him I was currently canceling the ride, he was rude and started yelling the hung up on me and said I wasted his time.
Worst ever experience in a taxi, cab , he was waiting beside Lincoln Monument, said meter wasn’t working and couldn’t take card , I saw him turn off the meter. Said he would only would take cash and demanded it on our way to the Capitol as he thought we wouldn’t pay. I wish I got his name to report this driver. Lesson learned, stick to Lyft.
Driver was rude, I had to ask for assistance, while trying to transfer my client out of the wheelchair. Once in the vehicle he was speeding and dodging in and out of traffic, scaring my elderly client. When asked about slowing down, he said nothing, and continued to drive the same. I will not use this company again with clients or myself.
Booked a cab the night before to pick up at 5 am to Reagan airport . Received an automated call 15 min before notifying that a cab was arriving. When I checked out at the hotel at 5 am, the cab was already waiting for me. Driver was helpful, helping loading luggage on and off the car. So far, it was a pleasant ride, on time and courteous.
Cab driver never show up and did not text me directly. I make that very clear to the operator yesterday. Tell the driver to text me. So good enough, Yellow Cab driver did not show up at all. I had to switch to Uber at the last minutes to save my neck bec I almost miss the plane. Now that give me 2nd thought, should I use Yellow Cab again?
While we were in DC we used taxi. Yes, this taxi did take us to the location we requested but NOBODY cares that you are sleepy. Very rude to even express this to your customers your driving!! We ask what time did you get to work and he replied about 30 mins ago. Taxi service teach your drivers some etiquettes and customer service!
They dropped us off at the wrong hotel 30 mins from ours. Then when I called customer service the Lady was nasty and rude to me. When I was being polite and respectful. I didn't appreciate it one bit. Rudeness is not necessary when talking to anyone for any reason. Won't use them again for anything. I'll be using Uber for now on.
I've used this service several times and was truly offended by some of the reviews. I believe the writers tend to leave out specific information and blame this company which they don't deserve. I have had the best customer service from this company from the drivers, calltakers, and dispatchers, I will always use yellow cab of dc.
When i call that Monday for a cab. They was closed because of the snow. I used there service many times before in the past. They fast getting a cab for you. One time I had to use the bathroom and a cab came so fast. I didn't have time to use the bathroom. If I next a cab. Capitol Cap is always my first and only choice.
Just got off the phone with dispatch trying to order a few taxis for a group. The dispatch person on duty was condescending, rude, and apparently slow to comprehension as I had to repeat simple instructions several times as well as coach HIM on how to better do his job. Basic customer service is lost on this company.
They offered to pay when I entered the cab, and I did. But there was a half-marathon in D.C. that day and the driver, after a while, said he couldn't get us there. He ley us out and we had to take the metro. Yellow Cab said a manager would call me to discuss it. Nobody ever did. Moral: DON'T PAY UNTIL YOU GET THERE.
DC Yellow Cab has stood me up three separate times, even after I made a reservation the day before and I got a confirmation email. With such common practice, I do not know how they are still in business. You should NOT rely on this company unless you have a lot of time to kill, and enjoy being frustrated.
The literal worst. I prearranged a cab to take me to the airport early in the morning. Got a text that the driver was waiting outside, but he never showed. Called dispatch to get another cab — exact same thing happened again with the second cab, plus the dispatch was very rude to me. Just get an Uber.
This company is the worst. Their drivers are, reckless, aggressive, and dangerous. When you call customer service to let them know, they couldn't care less. This clearly shows the way this company is run, and how little do they care about the safety of their customers, pedestrians, or fellow drivers.
I needed a around trip service and called yellow cab the service was fast friendly and efficient. From dispatcher to driver everything was easy and much faster than Uber. The driver knows the city and got me to and around the city in the fastest and safest way. Taxi drivers are indeed professionals.
Ridiculous customer service. Driver calls to say he's arrived but is a no show. Operator says he's stuck in traffic. Driver arrives 10 minutes later and says he was parked behind the building. Which is impossible unless he parked in the Georgetown canal. No wonder dc taxis are losing to uber.
I am incredibly annoyed with this cab company. I made a reservation on the website for a cab to the airport and the company waited until I called when the cab was supposed to arrive to tell me they don’t service the area I reserved for pickup. The person I spoke to was incredibly unhelpful.
If you have an Uber account use it. I waited for over 1 hour and 47 minutes for a taxi. I could not wait any longer SO I canceled. I see a Blackman in DC still can't get a cab even if you reserve it online. You can drive for them but you just cant ride with them.
everytime I go here i always pick my vehicles up with additional minor issues. They are good for solving the problem but messy in the process. I suggest to a full walk around if vehicle with someone from staff before leaving and always request keep vehicle clean
First ride pulled off and left me standing in the heat with all my bags. I guess he didn't want my service dog. What a poor way to treat a old veteran traveling with a service dog. But dispatch promptly sent another cab. That guy was tip very well for safe ride
Ordered a cab the night before an early trip to the airport. Got a confirmation text after ordering, then in the morning I got a call and text to let me know the driver was on the way. The driver was on time and friendly and I was able to pay through my phone.
They need to learn how to use credit card transactions and stop declining riders when they don’t have cash. They clearly have those machines. and to the person who blocked my number and email. i still can request a ride. you’re mad. play with your momma not me
Reliable, friendly service. Booked in advance for an am pickup to the airport and the driver showed up 15 minutes early. They text a link for easy pre pay and cab tracker showing where your ride is (Like Uber/Lyft). Flawless travel experience. Recommended.
They were horrible we had a driver who was driving really fast and was involved in a accident and then we got another cab the driver was disrespectful he was rude and almost got involved in another accident he tried to argue I would not recommend
Their app is worthless. It doesn’t give the driver the same pick up info you’ve put in and they just cancel the ride with no explanation. When you call support, they blame you saying you put in the wrong address (I didn’t). Don’t waste your time.
i had 3 passengers waiting for more than an hour and he said i was being rude when i told him that. i explained that my phone was having trouble getting reception & i was concerned that the drivers would not reach us. but he told me he did
Service was fast and accurate. The place wasn't perfect and the beggars need to be removed from the premises. But, this is DC. The presence of the homeless is the same for almost every fast food business here. It was an average experience.
We would like to recommend one of your drivers, Mr. Zianelabdeen Dawoud (B-116), for an appropriate award from your company for his extraordinary honesty and willingness to go the extra mile to assist a customer in distress. On 14 January
Happy 4th️♥️ Yellow Cab Co of DC & Driver B509. I want to thank you again for such a awesome, safe & just pleasant transportation service. Your hospitality was kind. GOD BLESS YOU SIR. ️ …
Placed an order through the automated system from my hotel for immediate pick up. After waiting 20 minutes, called to check on the status and was told no such order was placed and that 'sometimes the system just doesn't work.' Customer
I’ve wanted to support yellow can as an alternative to Uber/Lyft but they are simply not reliable and the drivers are very bad and inexperienced. The last three bookings have had major issues. Congrats Uber, you killed cabs in DC.
I made a 345am pickup reservation online about 15 hours prior. I am happy to report that the taxi arrived a couple of minutes early and brought us to Reagan National airport without any drama. I highly recommend Yellow cab.
Fast friendly service. May never go back to metro. Three of us could travel for about the same price as metro but with less hassle and wait. Also depending on cabby you get a personal tour guide. Very pleasant experience.
Scheduled an early morning ride about a week in advance and got a confirmation email right away. I also received a reminder text the day before my scheduled ride and another call/text as the driver was arriving.
I called and the came in 7 minutes. Driver was personable. Same cost as the ride share apps but the driver gets paid WAAYYY better. I'm going to keep using local cabs because it support small business owners...
No taxi came to pick me up at the time when I got out of the hospital. Instead. One driver judged me and thought I was homeless. Or getting a free ride. You guys should do better. DC has to get it together.
The service was great. I called in advance and they texted me before they arrived. I was able to track the vehicle and I also received a call from the driver. I would definitely use their service again.
After an initial bit of confusion, we got a cab and made it to the airport in record time. My co-worker and I appreciated the ride to the airport. The service was excellent and the car was very clean.
F Uber. I always pre-book DC Yellow Cab on airport runs for morning flights out of DCA. Always good drivers who know the city and don't have to rely on GPS mapping and directions.
Met a lady from Alabama while on a bus tour and her phone died. So we had to call her a cab. The service told us an 1.5 hours to get a cab but they arrived in less than 15 mins.
Cab driver sent text saying they was outside I stepped back in and called cab no answer cab number k987 0 stars only cab driver that did this made me extremely late for work
I ordered and PAID for a breast - got home and there was a thigh in my order. Going back to get my money the next time I'm in the area. Took a picture of my meal...mhmmm!
Took us to MSP very early in the morning. Cab was early and a bit impatient that we were not ready when hearrived. Charged flat $35 for the trip which i think is high.
Appalling service, booked a cab to the airport, arrived 36 minutes late with no explanation. No wonder Uber does so well. Last time I try to use DC Yellow Cab.
This IS the WORST cab service and the LAZIEST cab drivers. They never pick you up on time.they DON'T know how to.make money.STAY AWAY from yellow cab.
I prefer this cab company over Uber when I’m in DC. The fares from the Capitol Complex to Navy Yard are cheaper, and the drivers are always friendly.
The driver was there in a wink, after the second try to get a cab. The app worked well and the cost was resonable. The driver was very experienced.
What’s the point of scheduling a pickup if the driver is going to be 30 mins late?? Could’ve ordered an Uber or Lyft had I known this would happen.
We had several rides with Yellow Cab while in DC and each time they were prompt, courteous, and got us where we were going quickly. Thank you!
Please, a little respect and compassion for the handicapped. Do not obstruct the disabled ramp. It is not a good image for your company.
Scheduled ride online...15 minutes late and incredibly rude on phone. Canceled ride and still charged for it.
The driver was distracted by his cell phone the entire time and seemed to go the wrong direction initially.
Alot of filthy cars. I mean real filthy with black mold on interior. VERY POOR MANAGEMENT NOT TO SEE THIS
The only thing went wrong was the payment machine didn't work and driver had no clue what to do next.
They allow for customers to get kidnap by drivers and when you call they claim the driver got fire
The worst. After giving my address and asking how long it would take I got put on hold. 3
Most of the time they come in a timely matter. Cab is clean, drivers have been friendly.
Phone ranged a long time… No Cab drivers available.. I had to call Uber for plan B
Racecar drivers could take a lesson from these guys..you will get there fast!
