Took my mother inlaw, daughter and myself. Mother inlaws hair cut and foils looked great for $100 but the lady cut her skin near her ear, my daughters hair didn't even look dyed (looked like faded for 3 or more months) and for her first ever hair dye she was in tears in the car and having autism is going on and on about it, was told the pantine shampoo we use make it hard to dye (we dont use pantine) and then someone else did my hair after I complained about my daughter. Daughter got 2 colours half head foils (bleached then toner) and I got full head foils with bleach and toner and both a cut $470 was very expensive considering you couldn't see my daughters highlights all that well. Mother inlaw paid $100 for full head colour and 2 foil colours and a cut. Such a big difference in price. Works out $200 for daughter $270 for me however I have long think hair so I can understand this price for me given the time it took plus a whole head done. I used to like going here but wont be returning.

I originally booked for 2. My friend called to change her booking to make sure that they had enough time and was spoken to so rudely that she considered cancelling but I told her it was just a rude checkout woman. The rude woman turned out to be the owner. I visited twice, was not listened to on both occasions and fully ignored on the second visit, my hair treatment was several hundred dollars, the toner was not applied thoroughly and I was left with uneven colouring and the end result was not what I had asked for. I was left with staining on my face. The owner ignores and is rude to clients and seems to only be skilled with basic cuts and simple colouring and takes on too many customers at once. We had to wait 30 mins the first visit despite being on time . On the plus side the shop is tastefully furnished and smells wonderful and if you are wanting a strsightforward trim then you should be ok. Earbuds are recommended.

I was looking for a new place to get my hair cut and thought I'd try Yoko's. I was asked what I would like done and she seemed happy to do it. Then as she started cutting she kept making excuses for not cutting my hair to how I wanted it done and cut it how she wanted it cut. The main reason she kept telling me that she couldn't thin my hair out was that by thinning my hair I would dry my hair out. I asked for my fringe to be cut out of my eyes and made wispy so it blends in nicely but she cut it like a little boy's fringe. I asked for layers and was told she will only give me one long layer. I think this hairdresser has no skills and only knows how to cut the basics, she doesn't listen or do what you ask her to do. Very dissapointed in my haircut and will never go back to this shop. I would recommend you not go to this place.

Worst place to go to and customer service is a 0. The staff don’t give you what you want. They put you under pressure and try to make you feel in the wrong like: ‘ that’s what you asked for im sorry’. They need people communication skills starting from respect!!! All these reviews are from family and friends! I’ve never felt so didrespected in my life. I came in wanting a simple hairstyle and was very unhappy with my result, yet Yoko did nothing about it but give a rude, disrespectful attitude and did not deserve an ounce of payment for what she barely touched on my hair. The working environment overall is uncomfortable and it seems like all the workers there are extremely unhappy. Overall, I STRONGLY do NOT recommend!

Yoko's Salon is a beautiful, clean establishment. They are punctual, I never have to wait for my appointmentt. I have witnessed Yoko have great rapport with the older clients, they seem to be really happy with the service. Unfortunately some of the hairdressers are very pushy on their views. A few times when I have gone in with an idea the staff have talked me down to what they want. They also don't have many options for styling if you don't want to straighten your hair. I've walked out with my hair in a bun after a cut when they could have done a cool blow wave. The staff are never too pushy with their products, they have good knowledge on the products they sell and are happy to find the right ones for you.

Im so sorry for giving 2 stars. Very kind and polite ladies but unfortunately they don't give me what I want. First time I requested white platinum hair... without telling me they decide to give me Pascal pink hair. I kept on requesting white platinum hair and I still got purple pink hair. The last straw was couple of days ago when i requested yet again white platinum hair and yet again I got purple pink hair and this time they missed a bit with toner so now i have a small yellow patch of hair and the rest is purple pink. Now I'm booked in with my old hairdresser *shylocks hair & beauty*.

I had a 10am appointment, at 10.30 I was still waiting to be seated. I’d travelled half an hour from my home to attend the appointment as I no longer live in the area, but was trying to stay loyal. I wondered how they could be so far behind when the salon had only been open since 9am! People who arrived after me were seen to before me, and when I told them I couldn’t wait any longer, as I had other appointments in the afternoon to attend they didn’t even seem to care about how much I’d been inconvenienced. Goes to show loyalty means nothing, so I will not be returning.

Yoko knows her stuff. Her girl did a great job!! More than great +++++ I am so grateful I found her salon. First-time here, After months of treatments, cuts, colour fixes, and unsolicited "professional" textbook sales pitches from a tonne of random disappointing and overpriced salons, with still no hope for mane later !! I finally found talented hair masters who really do know their stuff!! I literally stumbled onto Yokos' salon. Professional, experienced, skilled, conscientious magicians. Mane saviours indeed. Yesterday my 7 year niece had a haircut done with a staff member Chien / Chen and it was the worst service to say the least. Suggesting my sister (mum) to stay outside the salon in order for her to do her job is quite unbelievable. Washing a child’s her with gloves and gloves that are DIRTY AND STAINED is unhygienic going against policy. No mum wishes to leave their child unsupervised and particularly with someone with such attitude. YOKO is not what is used to be unfortunately.

Got an eyebrow wax today and a chunk of my hair cut off by the so called ‘beauty therapist’ because she got wax in my hair and her solution was to grab a pair of scissors and cut it out without consent and no discussion with me to attempt to remove the wax. She then had the audacity to deny it when you can clearly see I now have a short side on the right side of my head. An apology only given by the owner and I’ve been going here for 13 years.

Hate that place they say some think else on the receiption and at the end charged you more i have done foils and hair cut the lady told me 95 and hair cut 25 but at the end i paid 160 she told me she put toner on my hair extra 40 witch i didn’t asked for if you do foils first they put blich and then toner but she put blich and for toner charged me 40 they even dont have in there chart list that they charged 40 for toner

I had holly as my hairdresser and was very impressed with my service :) Got exactly what i had asked for! Had a decent time of consultation and was delivered with exactly what i wanted. Also had a lengthy time of a head massage at the basin which was a surprise that other salons dont do. The staff are super lovely and very energetic and enthusistic. Good energy and vibes in the salon. Cant wait for my next visit!

Lovely ladies but would never go back here. Had my hair styled here but unfortunately they don't listen to what you want. Yoko wasn't interested in looking at pictures of hairstyles I liked. She just put the curling iron to my hair and curled away. Not how you'd want to be treating customers. Stop and listen to what customers want! If this is how she treats a style, forget about cut and color.

Do not go here The hairdresser cut my curtain bangs unevenly and blamed it on the way my hair fell on my face This has never been an issue for other hairdressers I also requested a soft cut and she gave me a blunt cut My hair doesn’t fall nicely and this is the first time I could cry about my hair She also was not articulate

I was attended to by Preet who was really kind and did an amazing job with my hair. I had a cut and blow wave and she was very knowledgeable in providing suggestions for the cut without having to trim off too much hair. The prices are extremely affordable and the salon is clean and smells divine. I wouldn't look elsewhere.

Had my hair washed and blow waved today by a lovely lady named Naz. She gave me one of the best head massages ever. She was patient and understanding when I had to bring my daughter to my appointment. My hair turned out great and im going back next week. Great price too. Very bad experience .The owner was not so polite and calm ,we got a bit late so she was just ignoring us all the time ,never want to again step in that salon where u can,t see friendly faces and my hair they were also not done properly because she did them in hurry and paid almost 110$ and its not worth.

I just want to rate this Salon As 5 star for me , affordable and gorgeous Salon, there’s an Afghan lady staff (forgot her name) who colored my hair today, She’s so nice patiently massage my head while toning! I was worried about getting my hair done at a salon after a bad experience at another one. However, after receiving a recommendation, I visited this hairdresser and was not disappointed. It was great to have hairstylists who truly listen to what I wanted in a cut and colour. I will definitely be back!

Never get my hair done but when I have the time I have come to yokos. Both times I’ve felt so comfortable and easy no stress. Owner has great vibes. Well over due for a hair fix up. Will be booking again soon. She also gave me a discount which I felt bad afterwards because of the state my hair was in.

not a good experience at all with owner. She was in a rush and not good with communication too. They rushed my friend’s hair and did very bad job also refused to do eyebrows for her in a hurry. It was my first being there I live nearby but now I’m not gonna go there.
