Horrible experience. We had a booking today starting at 12.30. My wife and I split up with the kids, one to get shoes and one to get food and drink. Both of us experienced people just cutting in without any acknowledgement from the staff who had no control and were extremely slow. We decided to order food from the app because apparently two people in line was two too many. So we ordered just 2 milkshakes for the Kids, some chips and drinks for me and my wife. The chips came out at frame 6 or 7 and they had no idea there was anything else. Our first drink (One of two milkshakes) came out in frame 10 after we went to find out what was going on. The next drink was just from the fridge so they got us to go get it, and it was out of stock so we ended up with a drink we didn't want. Third drink just turned up. It's 2pm (1.5hrs after we ordered) and the third drink just turned up. Still waiting on the last one which is the other kids milkshake. Try explaining to your two kids why one get it theirs and the other had to wait an extra hour just sitting around. We would have just walked out a long time ago if not for the fact that they are ridiculously expensive. Worst day out with the kids we've ever had. I'm writing this as I'm STILL sitting by myself waiting for the drinks while my wife tries to distract the kids from crying. If you think this review is long, imagine writing it waiting, having waited already 1.5 hrs... ... ...

Would recommend spending your money elsewhere, there are far better similar venues. Here’s my experience and I could tell other customers were also frustrated. Went on a Saturday afternoon, looked like 15 or so kids are employed to run the bowling alley. Unfortunately most of them standing around talking to each other or mucking around behind what they probably think is one way mirrored glass to an office behind the reception desk (the lighting allows customers to see through). Two lines of customers at the reception desk both 8-10 people deep, one employee serving with the other employee's walking straight past avoiding eye contact so they can go behind into the office and laugh and play with balloons, and “hang-out” with the other 8 or 9 employees hiding in the office. Finally get to the bowling lane, none of the lanes had been cleaned throughout the day, there was rubbish, empty drinks, half-eaten food everywhere. Moving on, most of the games at the “arcade” are poorly maintained, probably suggest half of them aren’t operational or work correctly. There is also a steel bolt protruding from the floor and electrical cables unsecured in the arcade. Didn’t feel it was a safe place for kids. Avoid.

We recently had the pleasure of having Matt and Will as party hosts for our son's birthday celebration at Zone Bowling Moorabin, and we couldn't have been happier with their excellent service! They did a fantastic job of managing the kids, calling them by their names, and ensuring that everyone was having a great time. Matt and Will were incredibly friendly and approachable, and they went above and beyond to make our son's birthday party a truly unforgettable experience. They were great at keeping the kids engaged with a variety of fun activities and games, and they even managed with the setup and cleanup of the party area. Throughout the entire party, Matt and Will demonstrated a high level of professionalism and dedication to their job, which made a huge difference in the overall success of the event. They were patient, kind with both the kids and the adults. In summary, we highly recommend Matt and Will as party hosts at Zone Bowling Moorabin. They are a fantastic duo who truly care about their customers and take pride in their work. We give them our highest recommendation!

Worst experience last night, booked 2 games for 5 adults and 2 kids, we spent half the time trying to chase up food and drink as the people working in the kitchen/food area were clearly struggling, all senior people were working in the main reception and had to be constantly pulled away to give people refunds. The QR codes at the end of the alleys apparently weren’t going through so no orders were being processed and the ones purchased at the counter were taking upwards of 45 minutes to be filled. We ended up cancelling the second game and getting refunded. We got about $100 worth of refunds by the end. I appreciate that all staff are young with the oldest member of staff being no older than 19, the franchisee needs to offer better training for staff and more support for junior members who looked completely overwhelmed. Will not be returning.

How this place has 4.1 stars is a miracle. Waited over an hour for a small food order and there wasn't that many people waiting on food. No coming to our Lane and giving us a quick update. No we're sorry for the delay until we asked what was happening. After a lengthy conversation with the food supervisor, we got a refund as had finished bowling and were ready to go. Attitute of the bowling supervisor was poor as well. The facility is a decent size but bowling balls were dirty, floor was extra slippery. Lots of mess and rubbish around, and some of the arcade games were 'temporarily unavailable'. Maybe just a bad weekend but made for a very bad Father's Day experience. Not going again. Stick to Strike!

Zone Bowling is an absolute blast! I recently had the most incredible time there. The atmosphere is vibrant and filled with excitement. The bowling lanes are top-notch, providing the perfect setting for a fun-filled bowling experience. But what truly blew me away were the delicious slushies they offer. The variety of flavors is mind-boggling, and they were so refreshing, especially after an intense game. The staff was friendly and accommodating, adding to the overall enjoyment. Whether you're a seasoned bowler or a casual player, Zone Bowling guarantees a fantastic time. I can't wait to go back for more strikes and slushie delights!ons.

Would rather drive over an hour than come here again. Just trying to get organised for our booked lane - system crashed. Move me to another register...wait longer for them to clear the other customer first then for them to reboot and manage to serve the person behind me. Ordered food before starting one of two games. Managed to get one of three food orders right half way through game two - the rest came out just as I was ready to leave the alley. And then - the game cards didn't work. Just for a cherry. Not a pleasant birthday out at all, and well and truly overpriced for the dismal service offered.

do not go here if you’re planning to spend lots of time at the arcade area The bowling was okay and it works, but the lanes are quite skinny so it doesnt feel the same, but there isnt rly a problem w the bowling, its the arcades. i had a 20 minute timer for the arcades, and over half of the games didnt even work and if/when some of them did it would say “please wait 30 seconds” and after i waited, i would try a different arcade game and it would make me wait again? and the basketball arcade had one basketball between the two things. Overall the place was alr but i prob wouldnt recommend.

Lovely staff, new bowling shoes in most sizes. We went during school holidays so got some time in the arcades as well and whilst the games were fun the cards were glitchy. Couldn't understand why it didn't work on the same game twice. I would like the team to review the volume set for the music because it was very loud as my daughter really struggled with it and so did the 3 kids next to us who had to leave midway through a game. They were covering their ears for some time before leaving and one of the kids was having a melt down with her hands over here ears.

Our host Abby was amazing, helpful and kind. Very good with the kids keeping them happy. She took great care of us. My son (10 years old) told me to give 10 stars. The value for money is great. My only issue is that amount of party that are are crammed in meaning there is no party room to place you in and set up as you need to be waiting until the next people are done so all parties overlap, Putting the staff under stress. Not their fault at all but more the venue. That was a little stressful but other then that was a great party and the kids had a ball

We had a great time at my daughter’s 8th birthday party. The venue has plenty to do and the kids had a great time, some stayed on after the party to do their own bowling game and continue playing at the arcade. A big shout out and thankyou to our wonderful party host Summer, who kept the kids entertained and was super helpful and friendly. If you’re ordering food when you get there, be prepared for a long wait (approx 45 mins), it would be great if this could be looked at and improved. Thanks again, overall a fantastic time had by the party group!

Kitchen was a shambles yesterday. Ordered two drinks and two hot dogs at the start of our 2 games, didn't receive any of it before our games finished. Moved family upto the seating area, got the drinks myself. Got one hotdog 10 minutes later without the curly fries we ordered, took it back. 10 minutes later we got both our hotdogs one that was cold from earlier with the fries replaced and one that fresh but had no sauce or mustard on it. Gave up on complaining at this point as i saw other groups sorting out issues with their orders to.

I have been coming to Zone Bowling in Moorabbin for probably about 10 years now (even back when it was called AMF). It is not a bad bowling alley but everytime I come there always seems to be an issue with something. The staff are pretty good with fixing whatever the problem may be though. Zone Bowling is a fun place and I would definitely go on a rubbish rainy day (if it isn’t booked out) but be most ready for an issue with anything.

This bowling place is huge and very clean. The bowling balls are extremely old, really need a refresh. Also the hand air vent is broken for some lane. Staff are very friendly and helpful. This venue is not only good for dating event, but also group get together. Definitely able to maintain social distance within the venue due to its size. The venue is very close to train station. Also heaps of parking nearby.

A fun & enjoyable experience for our family. Staff were friendly and helpful. Minus 1 star due to the fact that our lane had a lot of leftover food and plates from the previous group, and I never saw any attempt from the staff to cleanup ours, and other lanes as well which also looked quite messy so we ended up ditching it all in bins and wiping down with a few napkins ourselves. We'll be back though :-)

Went for a double kids birthday party. First time there and I'm impressed with the young people working there: Very friendly and service oriented. The party hosts were lovely and helpful. The two young men helping the kids at the prize station were impressively patient with all the kids swarming them. Don't know how they kept their cool but they did. Overall a great experience for the kids.

The lanes were filthy with rubbish and spills everywhere and balls not put away from the previous players. It was hard to get service at the cafe and prize cabinet which was left wide open and unattended… Terrible terrible management going on here, I don’t know what’s happened to this place but it’s not how it used to be. The staff don’t even look like they want to be there.

Great space and bowling area however waited 55min for food. Didn’t order that much but 2 hotdogs and fries. Staff at the counter for ordering food is not friendly nor has decent customer service techniques. Asked one of the waiters where our food was and she said it will come out in the next 5min but took 15min. He had curly/ ginger hair. Had no name badge unfortunately.

Will be sad when we move to the country as I likely won't be back for some time but the venue is awesome and the staff are fantastic. Oliver always greets me with a smile when come in, absolute legend while the manager Kimberley is equally as friendly and always runs a tight ship there. Couldn't ask for better service and a special shout out to those two. 10/10

A great spot to get together with friends or family. Lots of different activities to do. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The place is maintained well, and it has a fun atmosphere. We didn't try the food, as the menu is very limited. Mostly American style junk food, not ideal if you have dietary requirements, vegetarian or vegan. But the bowling is fun.

My son had his 9th birthday party here with 11 kids. Great value with the price per child including a game of bowling, video games and food. The kids enjoyed throughly and the host Amelia E were so kind, patience and taken care of everything on the day. If I could give you not even a half a star I would, because when someone asks for a receipt always give one, don't make constant excuses about the machine being broken. As my son used his card and typically because the weather was extremely hot your machine was suddenly broken to give a receipt. Give me a break, because this is beyond a joke already!

Friendly staff and efficient operations of the bowling lanes. Decently priced for a couple of games and a drink. Plenty of different weight sizes when it came to the bowling balls themselves. Nice seating areas and plenty of music and vibes. Nice bowling facility for South East Melbourne. Especially as they aren't as popular as they used to be.

Have a family member that works here, worst running venue I have ever experienced. Boss treats all employees like dirt it’s quite an unpleasant experience seeing your family cry at home after nearly every shift because the boss is so rude. Would not recommend working here if you want to get lied to and bullied for a very small amount of money.

Great venue for our boys birthday party last weekend. Bowling and then time in the amusement arcade was a great balance of activities. Food supplied was both good value and quality for a kids party. Had my son's 7th birthday here yesterday. The party hosts - Sienna, Kieran and Noah - were fantastic! Sienna always had the kids under control!! The parents were happy with the coffees/drinks and we all loved the food. A few parents commented that they liked this bowling centre because it is not as hectic or loud as newer ones.

Amelia from Zone Bowling in Moorabbin was our host and really did well ensuring all the kids had a great time. The program was well timed just enough for the kids to enjoy a game of bowling and playing at the arcade games. Totally recommend for kids birthday party. We had a wonderful time at Zone Bowling - kids loved it (10 year olds) . our host, Dougal was lovely, interacting well with the children. He was super helpful. The whole process to get the party organised was streamlined and easy and this followed through on the day. Very fuss free yet still had a special factor.

This is the second party we have had at Zone Moorabbin. Not only is it great value but the crew running the parties are exceptionally professional and handled our big group of boys so well. Shout out to Alex, Ayles and Lily W. Will be returning a third time in April for our little girls party as well!

Wonderful 8 year old birthday experience. Bowling, frequent prizes, power tickets, food (fries, nuggets etc). We purchased the fruit skewers (strawberry, melon, pineapple etc well presented). They took great care of us. The two zone bowling team members did everything with the kids. Highly recommend.

I went on a saturday night for a double date just for scoreboards to constantly disregard points and strikes for people playing. I scored a strike in the last round for it to not be counted under my name and be given to someone else. I am now single due to not seeing eye to eye on results.

Bowling is always fun, no exceptions here. Great lanes, helpful staff and fun arcade games too. For adults the range of bowling balls is not great, and some of the arcade games are average. But kids will definitely love it. We're lucky to have a club like this in suburbia, get down there.

I had a good experience practicing my bowling here! Lanes were pretty oily, and it allows for players to hook their ball. One reason why I don't give a 5 star rating is because the lanes don't get much light at night. Hence, it's challenging for me to see the arrows on the lane.

Fantastic place for our sons birthday party. Host person was a lot of fun and made sure everyone had a great time. She was very well organised with timings and food. Think name was zara. Great to have some beers for the parents while the kids enjoyed the bowling and games

A great place to take adolescent's during school holidays. Great food, bowling and arcade games to play and win prizes. I recommend you make an afternoon of it and plan to order lots of platters with drinks, as kids get hungry when they bowl! The curly fries are the best!

My son had his 11th birthday party at Zone Bowling Moorabbin on Saturday night. The communication from booking all the way to the night itself was flawless. Our host Amelia was amazing! She was helpful, engaging and great with involving all of the kids.

Bowling was fine. Bought the mini fun pass without being advised that we can't add to our 150 tickets. My daughter was very disappointed when she earned over 1,000 tickets but wasn't able to redeem them because of the mini pass. False advertising.

Easy to book. Great service and helpful. Lots to entertain kids. Mini fun pass was okay, time goes by fast and was a bit odd playing games but not getting tickets. Upgrading etc needs more information available- staff were even a bit confused.

The gaming area has half the machines out of order, and the ones that work are mostly not included in the package deals. And the package deal is based on time of play. Not value of play. So by the time you work out which ones work and can

Went Bowling on a Saturday night. Place was busy, but the staff were prompt, polite and not left waiting long . Neat and tidy overall. Good music playing. Reasonable food choice. There is an arcade section, but I didn't visit there.

We played in lane 9 and there were a myriad of technical issues such as missing pins, wrong score automatically recorded, etc. Sarah at reception was wonderful in dealing with these for us and we still had a fun time.

Will and Ayla were great party hosts. All of our guests had a great time. Only areas for improvement would be better timing so that all meals were delivered at once, the delivery of the food took almost 20 minutes.

Been there, kitchen team service it terrible. Waited hours for food that we ordered, got it when we were about it leave, left the food there coz we had to leave. When complained manager said have a take away.
