I like to support small businesses. It's a cosy little place. However, it did also come across as chaotic a little. The staff who was there was very overwhelmed. As little as the place is I think it could do with one more staff when busy. I had porridge but no topping options like fruit or nuts or anything, which is strange and disappointing. Coffee(I ordered black Americano)wasn't to my liking as it was too intense even though I'm a hard-core black coffee drinker. It was OK enough not to complain at the time, though. Took a while for 2 coffees to come, which goes back to how overwhelmed the guy at the till was. Staff attitude was lovely though.

A little cramped. Wouldn't take kids there to be honest as taking kids to a small space can be chaotic. No space for a pram inside neither. But there are seats outside weather permitting.

I highly recommend munch cafe to all who are missing south Indian food in Leeds . We had masala dosa , podi dosa , poori with potato masala , idli and onion dosa .Everything is so delicious like Indian tiffin restaurants and fresh like home made .My kids loved the food and they said everything is so delicious here chutney , ginger chutney and sambar are so delicious and potato masala with poori is awesome . Must try all Indians and also I could see even British people also were enjoying the food alot and they ordered all variety of dosas and enjoyed alot. Highly recommended and must try everyone

The happiness of eating South Indian Home Food being thousands of miles away cannot be matched with anything. Thanks much Munch Cafe for giving this experience and feel. We came all the way from Garforth (nearly 25 miles) with a word of mouth and expectations on how it would be and ended up having one of the best Vegetarian south Indian food ever. Every item was one above the other and it was a visit worth happening again and again. Thanks Munch Cafe, Sandhya (Chef) & Waiter (sorry don't know the name) for serving us with such tasty food. Affordable breakfast and lunch cafe. Friendly staff and comfortably busy. Great place to do some work and have food or a drink. I ordered the veggie wrap but wanted the contents on a plate not in a wrap and the staff were able to accommodate this. (It also came with a hash brown), all for £4.30 :)

Such an amazing place to have breakfast/lunch!! I have been coming to munch since I was in second year at uni and have loved it every time! Visited back today after summer at home and found out they even do evening food, which I will definitely be doing. Such delicious food, amazing staff with quick service for such a cheap price! A very cozy little cafe owned by an Indian lady. The food tasted delicious and was very reasonably priced . The chutneys and sambar tasted good too ! The onion chutney specially was lip smacking! The uttapam was also really nice ! Would have just liked the service to be little quicker . Love how she made connections with people who walked in , felt like I was back home in india where people knew everyone in town and just served them with lots of love and warmth! Went to Munch cafe yesterday with my family. If you are looking for a short and sweet menu with a serene atmosphere then this is for you. The chef was so kind, she stepped out and enquired how’s the food and took back some constructive feedback. Go for it if you are in and around Headingley, Leeds. The idiyappam , Dosa combo and the filter coffee was top notch. We will be going again.

Visited proud to watching cricket at headingly..less than ten minutes walk away from ground.small and compact both inside seating and outside on pavement. Somehow served fresh food quickly and calmly and kept very busy flow of customers sat fed and moved on. Portions generous and cooked breakfast not oily and presented well and price very good.poached and scrambled eggs perfectly cooked and served on tasty decent bread.tea and coffee rustic as would expect from small cafe.

Taste of South India ! Felt like home! The Sambar was delicious! The AUTHENTIC taste of the Golden Vada with the two different chutney was Fantabulous! A cosy cafe which, by early evening, delivers a South Indian menu of dosa, vada, oothapam etc I have to say that everything I ordered was prepared to high standards and had that homemade taste of dishes served in Kerala (where I'm from). It's warm and comfortable with a homely atmosphere. The owners are charming and friendly. Look forward to visiting again.

Cook staff need to learn what 'vegan' means. Could do with better vegan options than 'vegetarian without the cheese/egg' as this makes for a meagre breakfast. Could do with a better range of teas rather than just plain breakfast tea. I get the feeling the vegan café down the road probably gets most of the non-meat/dairy eaters in the area but this was unfortunately shut when we arrived.

The Staff is really friendly and very attentive. The Masala Dosa i had was really Delicous, especially the chili Chutney, the Spicyness was also on point.

Had a lovely late breakfast, food and drinks were delicious and the staff are very friendly. Even though it was quite busy they didn't mind us taking our time. One thing to note on our visit is they are cash only establishment, conveniently there is a cash machine directly across the road.

Delicious freshly cooked lunch at Munch today. Especially loved the piri piri chips + great service. Munchelicious should be a word.

Fantastic breakfast cafe, great value and simple menu. Paid by card and breakfast included a tea/coffee. Really useful for us as an alternative to the Premier Inn breakfast which is £9.50 each!

It's says you are open at 9am, you closed. Really good sausages, all food cooked perfectly to order and not a long wait even though it was full. Excellent breakfast menu and friendly service.
