Ordered online, showed up at my time, unorganized crew had a stack of online orders and hadnt made any of them. Ordered at 11:40, 12:17 pickup, food not ready till 12:30 after me and another customer had to legit talk to every worker. Then they told us to chill out. Not my responsibility to run your restaurant. Then they acted like they were doing us a favor. Figure it out. Seems like all they care about are the delivery orders. Those had their on counter. Even we’re making walk up orders before online. Enjoy the 1 star fire your register kid he’s useless he does t expedite I don’t even think he knew what planet he was on. Food just piled up. Health department should probably show up and check if anything is the correct temp. Disgusting. And don’t act like I’m the ah for wanting my food within an hour of ordering. Edit: just opened it up, no silverware. How am I suppose to eat this mess? Is there anyone with a brain working here? Save your money and go to McDonald’s it’s probably fresher, quicker, and at-least the order will be correct. Edit: was refunded half the cost of lunch which I absolutely appreciate. Adjusting my stars because I realize that someone there is listening to customers.

This review is not because the food is bad, the food actually is really great, my complain is the attention. One of the wonderful things of living at NYC is the diversity so for me to see a people from minorities making fun of others is just not comprehensive specially if they work at a place we're people from many places around the world. The girls that attend at Spring St., So their pronunciation must be perfect among their people, but for people from other places are not easy to understand as I understand my pronunciation must be difficult as well but when you RESPECT AND UNDERSTAND THIS FACT everything will flow. I felt very uncomfortable buying the food since I'd did not understand very well their English but with an emphatic actitud did my best. She did not take the time to explain to me the products and smile as if I was a silly girl buying food. As a suggestion, explains to your customers what you offer, not everyone knows well about this food, be patient if someone does not understand well, and finally do not laught, that is simple not nice. For the food, it is good.
I have been going to Taim for more than 10 years and it was a favorite. The experience over the last few years has been worse than the time before. Originally, this was a mom and pop shop. You would even seen Einat, the then owner and chef occasionally as her restaurant was next door. They only made a few things and they made them very well. With the expanded menu and “customization,” employees no longer are familiar with the dishes that they did so well. Despite the experience being worse with each visit, the price continues to climb. I attempted to order a sabbich pita— conservatively would guess I have had this 100 times before—only to see today that when you order “golden eggplant” you now have to individually request the items that you wanted (some of which were previously included at additional cost). This is a excellent and sad example of how scalability and corporatization come at a real cost— quality.

The food was good, while we ordered a couple of sauces/chutneys on the side. My sister placed an order and I was picking up. No instructions were followed, given by my sister. The only suggestion is to print instructions on the bill so that,

Went here for the first time today and the food was delicious. However, I regret taking my food to-go because half way through I found a short dark hair in it (I have long blond hair). Now I can't take it back to be fixed since I'm on the train...all I can do is hope my stomach stops turning. It maybe wise to reiterate the importance of hair net etiquette to all staff since I saw some staff not wearing one. Ps. Totally not that important, just worth mentioning for future reference: I spelled out my name for the order...and it was still wrong on the receipt. Little bummed out. Would have been nice for the cashier to at least pretend to care a little bit since I did state this being my first time here and apologized in advance for needing extra help to understand the menu.

This is a review of my last time I'll ever order from this spot again. It was a second chance after my first delivery was messed up a few weeks ago and they graciously offered me a gift card to try them out again. This time I decided to pick up a bowl and when I got there the person at the register had a hard time finding my order, helped someone else then found my bag, not a big deal usually. I walked all the way back to my place took out my bowl removed the lid to find a thick coarse suspicious looking hair right on top of my food. I immediately lost my appetite and decided this place will never get my patronage ever again. I'm assuming this place is poorly managed and doesn't treat/pay their workers well enough to care about safety standards and their patrons' experiences.

I've been here twice. I've only ordered the falafel. I've lived in NYC for 23 years and I've tried falafel from everywhere to street carts to fancy restaurants. This little fake wannabe Mediterranean modern styled take out place that plays their music way too loud, makes insanely good falafel I have to admit. Its fresh every single time, I've eaten here before closing and it taste like everything was prepped a few minutes ago. The portion of the falafel is huge, its $10 so beware to spend, but its definitely something to sit down with, not walk with. Its absolutely delicious if you like sweet pickled cabbage and tons of tahini. I highly reccomend and the service is fast!
I used to love coming to this restaurant for the longest time but in the past year they got new management (I’m assuming?) and ever since this place has gone severely downhill. Not only has the quality of the food decreased considering the price they charge, but the workers are RUDE and have made my order incorrect they past 4 times I have visited. It’s like the don’t even care to try and get it right… Not to mention the time I found plastic in my food lol. I was in denial since it was once a beloved neighborhood spot, but it’s clear whoever is running this place now just does not care about upholding a quality experience for customers. Disappointed to say the least.
Pretty decent food, well spiced, served by the least enthusiastic staff I’ve met outside of McDonald’s. If you wait patiently in front of the counter and the place is empty, eventually they will notice you. Fries were sadly soggy but 2 dipping sauces were delicious. Meatballs, their current special were baby food bland and came out cold. Everything else was really tasty and well seasoned. I will come back to try other menu items and to avoid fries and meatballs.

My husband and I shared a Hummus & Lettuce Bowl with Green & Harissa Falafel. I loved that they had different kinds of falafel. That's not something I've seen elsewhere before. The bowl we built was quite tasty. My only complaint is that this kind of assembly style place usually lets you look at the toppings as you're choosing them and they build the bowl as you're ordering. That's not the case here. You have to pick your toppings from a menu without seeing them even though it's assembled right there in front of you after.

VERY VERY VERY GOOD FALAFEL SANDWICH!!! We ordered the mixed falafel sandwich. It was our first time here. We were skeptical at first and the prices seemed a bit high for a sandwich, but boy was it worth it!!!! The staff was quick and efficient . The interior was clean. The food was really what made us give a 5 star review. The falafel was crispy on the out side and moist on the inside . The hummus was super rich and creamy, the vegetables were very fresh! Super pleased with this place. Only comment I would leave, is to always maybe offer add ons as a cashier. Like sauces, sides or drinks.
For lunch I had a to-go bowl with green falafel, hummus and couscous base, & harissa sauce, pickles, olives, lettuce, chickpeas, almonds. Thanks to the clerk for helping recommend a balance of toppings. The couscous is a larger/softer variety than I'm used to. The falafel tasted unusually "green", in a good way, but I couldn't pinpoint what the unusual taste was, maybe mint? $10.95 pre-tip, a great value.

Great quick veggie spot in NoLita with several other locations in Manhattan! I love their Cauliflower Shawarma and the Mezze-terranean on a pita, for under $10. They also wrap them up nicely in foil for to-go orders. For sides, the Moroccan carrots and the beets are my favorites, but you can’t go wrong here! The tall guy with black hair that often works nights is super nice and friendly too. :) Tip: always ask for ALL the toppings and extra containers of zhug (the green hot sauce)!
Good quality food, but the customization formula shouldn’t be mandatory it should be optional. A falafel sandwich or a falafel bowl should be order and received quickly, why make people figure out which combination of Topping is best ? Why don’t you just give a standard option that is customizable if needed. People take way too much time ordering (some woman literally spent 5mns order a falafel) I don’t want to make more decisions in my day easy fix
Great food! Falafel is now a global favorite & these folks know how to do it right! There are other Mediterranean favorite availbe, & they serve their own fries with multiple dipping sauces. This location is downtown in Manhattan & easily reachable by public transit. I walked by it on my way through Town & popped in on a whim. They did not let me down. The service is quick. The staff is friendly. The food is great! In fact, you've gotta try it!!!
Amazing falafel. But the real surprise at this vegetarian place (which does serve dairy) was that they had the best feta cheese I've eaten in a restaurant in NYC in a long time. It was cow's milk but still incredibly feta-tastey. On a Sunday afternoon at least when they weren't that busy they were happy to customize the preset platter for me and drop tabouli in favor of extra Israeli salad, which I appreciated. Staff was very friendly.
I’ve been wanting to try this place for so long and it was absolutely amazing! I love how you can pick what you want in your bowl. The flavor combos went so well together. The hummus was great and their pita bread is nice, and fluffy! I definitely want to come back to try the new chicken on the menu! Actually everything, cause it all sounds so good lol

i was really loving this place before but i see that service quality is not good. they dont ask what topping i want or dont. regular falafel pita toppings was separetly squized first full of cabage and there is salad in the bottom humus and left side falafel so there was not really.. this show even you have really good food if you dont serve in right way with good hospitality result is happy.
Okay good, prices aren’t bad but portions are on the smaller side. The garlic sauce is actually really good. The chicken shawarma has good flavor bits it’s not real shawarma - it’s grilled chicken breast. No real indoor seating unless you’re fine eating side by side. People are the register were very stand offish. Not a bad option if you’re in the area and want something quick.
I got the chicken pita sandwich and wasn’t too impressed. They added an incredible amount of sauce; so much so that it was difficult to taste anything but the sauce. I’ve gotten a bowl here before which was good! I’d recommend a bowl over the pita.

All good sandwiches are 50% ingredients, 50% skill of assembly, and the two add up to 100 at Taïm. In particular the Sabich sandwich was assembled with care during my visit. Unusually friendly service elevates this branch to 5+ stars. Go on a nice day and enjoy your meal at the small public space across the street.

Decent food but if you’re going to make me list every single ingredient in a salad and make me wait 15 minutes at least try to give me something in the ballpark of what I ordered! Not a single correct ingredient and I didn’t realize until I got home they had given me one bowl instead of two.

Hilarious experience I asked for a bowl with Hummus and Supergreens, Cauliflower Shawarma, Pickled Onions + Zaatar Croutons + Cucumber, Lemon mint Vinaigrette and what I got in the bowl was Romaine leave + Cauliflower Shawarma + Pickled Onions and Ttzatziki I mean why should I pay for something which I didn't order and get barely 2 items from the order?
Less recommended place. The seating is not clean, the value for the food is low (the pita is torn and the dish is not satisfying) and there is no place to wash hands.

Taim has some of the best falafel in the city. The falafel sandwiches are flavorful clean and refreshing. The resturant itself is vegetarian and does not have a lot of seating, more a quick bite kind of deal. The date smoothie is also very good. There are several locations throughout the city.

My wife and I ordered falafel and meatballs here. I had sh!ts for 3 days, she had it for two days, but afterwards uncomfortable feeling in her stomach persistet for about a week. Doctor said stomach virus. So, my advice, order meatballs, three days and you're good, falafel will keep you down for a week. Very inventive way to do cleansing.
We love this Place! We are always back when we are In town. Best Falafels In Nyc. The price IS really affordable. You have to try the new shawarma vegan falafel! Definitely I would recommend this place!

My favorite falafels in the city, three different types to choose from and if you get the sandwich it's loaded with deliciousness! Their fries are thin cut and impossible to stop eating. One downfall is it's a small place with only counter seating, so if you want to go to a restaurant to relax while you eat, this isn't the best option.
Great falafel (both green and red, which is not too spicy). The vegetarian shoarma was original and great taste too. We got our pita breads full of vegetables and sauce, and had the perfect size for a lunch. Nice personnel and especially nice that you’re not forced to give a 20% tip for take-out like in so many hip places in the area.
As always a great place for Mediterranean cuisine but limited seating and no restroom at this location.

NOT KOSHER!!!!! this location comes up an an option when searching for ‘kosher near me’. Upon arriving (and there’s a mezuzah on the door) I saw an item on the menu consisting of check and cheese. I inquired and was told this location is NOT kosher. Taim management ought to rectify this once with search engines.

I was trying to find a shawarma place late evening, found “taïm” and got the chicken shawarma. I wouldn’t call it a shawarma like the ones that we have in my country cause it was a Pita bread not a wrap, but nonetheless it was still delicious and savory, I will definitely comeback to try something else.
Good food but a very small area. I was also frustrated that the only item on the menu which had the word "kabob" in it, is a vegetarian dish! I didn't mean to order a veggie dish but made that mistake because menu is not clear.

Was wondering what that smell was for the longest! Finally found it! Falafel is amazing! Plenty of variety and the options are quite healthy! Didn't see one bit of meat! Falafel on pita was made with love, highly recommend this spot! The site is quite small and can be crammed during the midday rush!
Fantastic food and service. Falafels are smaller so more crunchy surface area, but maybe missing a little bit of the heft of a traditional falafel. Ask for the hot sauce. (Also, the staff at this place was out of this world friendly when we were there. No idea how other people get bad service here)
Amazing fast casual lunch spot! I’ll definitely be going back. The food was excellent, fresh, and quickly prepared. The seating and people watching were also great. I highly recommend if you’re looking to branch out from Sweetgreen and Cava, but still want a healthy, affordable, and delicious meal.
$9 ticket to Tel Aviv... whenever I get the ”Israel withdrawal attack” I head out to Taim, one of the best falafel I had in NYC. $9 and I get my fix. It may not be as good as the one in Tel Aviv for $1.63 but considering the cost of the commute, it’s a pretty close second. Taim Meod. . . …
This spot is great and the staff really nice! Ordered a falafel bowl online for pick up. Was quick and easy. The lady at the counter was so nice. Food was delicious and fresh. One of my go to spots for a quick bite.

Their greek salad is my favourite salad in New York. However, I order it on a weekly basis and I can't remember the last time they actually included the salad dressing in the bag -- pickup or delivery at either Nolita or West Village location. Service has really gone downhill.
Yum! Best Falafel I've ever tasted. Moist and fragrant. Cheap good sized portions. The only down side is that it is really a take away joint. To eat in you have to sit at a bench and it's not really the right atmosphere for settling into a long dinner with friends.
Great food. We had the falafel platter and the cauliflower something wrap and fries with the harissa sauce. I was pretty impressed. It's a really small place though. You'd be lucky if you find a place to sit . especially in the winter. But great food, nice people!
This is one of THE BEST places where i have had amazing food. Being a completely vegetarian joint, i love it for the choice of menu, the freshness of the ingredients and the awesome taste of the ingredients. Loved the way the entire place is set with the seating.
This place slapped. Really decent price for the neighborhood and it was a packed in pita. Park across the street, helpful staff. Good food good food good food. Would go back for the chicken schwarma on pita. Would recommend to a friend, would go back

Been coming here for years, this last order was horrible. French fries weren’t fried - they were soggy and luke warm, falafel drenched in sauce, not hot, and the portions were smaller than normal. Super disappointed
Falafels were okay. My chicken bowl was pink so the staff threw it out and replaced it. She was super disgruntled about it tho like girly…really. The salad is overall bland and expensive. Naya and Cava are better.
What happened here? Portions are literally half what they used to be and the staff make going to McDonald's feel like a Michelin starred restaurant. Sauces seem to have all flavor removed for budgetary purposes

Food is decent and portion size is good. I would really recommend this place if you are vegetarian or vegan as I think this place has better veg options than non-veg ones. All in all, worth a try!
Really good falafel in pita, not short at all on the portion size. Only qualm was the speed, it was dead when I went in and it took about 10 minutes to get my food. Great spot overall though.
Gluten free falafel here! The fries and sauces are amazing, too. Awesome spot to grab to-go eats. Usually pretty busy so better to place your order ahead of time and run in and pickup.
We expected so much more. The pita was dry and small, the falafel was terrible, the tahini lacked flavor but the salad was fresh.

It was mediocre, felt like a subway style lunch for $14 I got a bowl with no hummus and my friends food was okay too. I’ve been a lot in Israel so I might have higher standards
Had cilantro falafel sandwich. The falafel was ok, I had better falafel but salads and sauce were pretty good. Needed lot of napkins. Overall it was different and we enjoyed it
