I do feel a bit like I am self promoting here — because these dear people, about whom I want the entire world to know, is (like?) family to me — but I do do do want to climb on a chair (just because anything sounds properly dramatic and important when spoken standing on a chair) and yell out a massive! massive thanks to them for when 2020 crazed, I had to get out of New York and leave behind my apartment with all the things in it that I accumulated over a year of living there — I am talking about a number of cherished items that I didn’t want to imagine losing, and extra things, which I thought was unwise keeping; there were giant pieces of furniture, which, unless they grew wings and learned to fly, were a disaster to even think about bringing down five flights when time to move out would come; and, naturally, there was a bunch of miscellaneous little paraphernalia all over my apartment that... that were just a general ‘I don’t even want to think about it’ kind of deal. And yet, even realizing that I was leaving for an indefinite period of time, I locked the front door of my apartment with a light heart and a weightless suitcase - because. Because this is something one can do now in the 21st century New York (and not only New York). Mind, this is n-not because I made some definitely plans of coming back and taking care of it all. Oh, and definitely not because some magic residing in the City relative of mine would come over and take care of that messy business. No. This IS because I knew that just like several times in the past, I could rely on the most amazing people at Urbin. Did I mention they are amazing? So, these amazing people at Urbin, I knew, would come at the scheduled date and time and in kid gloves pack all the things I ask them to, ship them down to Miami and/or carefully store them in their facility for as long as I need them, too. I also knew they would guardedly bring down the insanely steep stairs of the elevatorless building the seemingly unliftable couch! and - and dispose of it as well as of other articles I no longer need. Phew, enumerating these things gives me the jitters. But this is indeed the only thing that does that because the actual moving process (from scheduling, to Zoom chats, to sorting, to packing, to, to, to - finish) was a true bliss. Of course a job done professionally is great, but a job done kindly is what the humanity needs - and not only in 2020 - because this is about trust: how precious is it that you can just trust people to take care of you. kindly. huh? So, yes, I — standing on a chair, remember? — am immeasurably thankful to Urbin and their team for doing this monumental thing while making it a breezy experience for me. Posting this before I get embarrassed for probably making it sound too soppy...

From start to finish, this company went above and beyond to ensure a smooth and stress-free move. Firstly, the booking process was incredibly easy and straightforward. Their website was user-friendly, and their customer service team was knowledgeable and helpful in answering all my questions. They were able to provide me with a clear and detailed estimate of the cost of the move, which I found to be very reasonable. On moving day, the team arrived promptly and were friendly, professional, and efficient. They took great care in packing and loading my belongings, making sure everything was properly secured and protected. They also made sure to communicate with me throughout the process, letting me know what was happening and answering any questions I had. When we arrived at my new home, the team again worked quickly and efficiently to unload and unpack everything. They even helped me set up some of my larger pieces of furniture, which was a huge help. Finally, I also used this company's storage services during my move, and I was very impressed with the service. Overall, I cannot speak highly enough of this moving/storage company. Urbin is utmost professional from start to finish. Their estimation process is upfront smooth, accurate, and with no hidden fees. Before the move, they guide you through every step, and address any concerns/questions you might have. They supply you with any packing materials needed, and also offer to help you pack if needed. If you have large furniture units that require disassembly, they show up with multiple tool types, to take anything apart with care, and then reassemble it back at your new space, and in any spot you like it: “do you want it here? Or would it be better for you there” they ask – or “let’s try it here, and see how you like it, and then we can move it elsewhere if you’re unhappy”; that’s what took place with each item/box that was moved. They even unpack your boxes if you like, place their contents where you want, taking away any stress associated with the process. I literally had to tell them “enough” at the end of the move, as they kept on insisting to help more and more. Great, sincere, and quiet crew, that handled everything with care as if it’s their own. A team leader showed up throughout the move, assuring nothing is overlooked, and logistics are in place as planned. Highly recommended team, white-glove service that will really move you.

Everyone who's moved recently knows the immense stress of the entire process. From start to finish, I couldn't have had a better experience with UrBin and the physical move was seamless. I was amazed by how easy the planning was. I was able to send a video walk through of my apartment and they used that to itemize and provide a quote. Other than the movers, everything that could have gone wrong did. My building elevator broke for almost a month. I needed to reschedule the move more than once and eventually gave up and used the stairs. UrBin was not only flexible but easy to work with amid all the changes on my side. The movers did an incredible job negotiating an extra tight stairwell and took great care with my items. I couldn't recommend them more highly if you want to help alleviate stress during your move. This service helped us when the Virus changed the lives of so many New Yorkers. We were forced to move out for the summer and go back across the country, URBIN picked up our boxes from the apartment and moved them to storage. They were on time and professional. The app shows all the ítems listed and stored. The price was reasonable. Carl was flexible with our uncertainties about the length of time. Carl has THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE skills. Always clear concise communication and he seems to really care every time i spoke or texted with him. The website does it all but since this was our first time, it’s good to know there is the human factor to this company. Not just a moving & storage. Finding URBIN was one of the best services we found when we weren’t even looking.

I was looking for a relocation service. After long research (the market is full of options) I chose urBin Moving and Storage. From the first interaction, Karl and his team were responsive, understanding, and professionals regarding all aspects of the move. Such a big move/step could be incredibly stressful, urBin team was a huge support, always available and accessible for any question or concern. On the day of the move, the movers were highly organized, motivated, and friendly, they truly made the experience stress-free as possible. There were some (unexpected) last-minute changes on our end, but Karl instantly adjusted and found the best solution to make sure the plan continues as scheduled. A very good experience!

I used UrBin for my move from Manhattan to Brooklyn and working with them was the smoothest part of the overall moving process which is never fun. Karl helped me itemize what I needed to move by going through each room and helped me figure out what was in my crowded basement storage to give me the most accurate quote possible so there were no surprises later. We also had a complicated move because some items were coming from storage we had with urBin and some were being dropped off at another location but everything was done correctly and efficiently. The movers were all very professional and also extremely patient with my crazy dog which was an added bonus!

I’ve moved a few times as most in NYC have and I know how difficult it can be to find people who are trustworthy and caring with your personal belongings. We had such a great experience with URBIN STORAGE! When the pandemic started we had to put our stuff in storage and eventually moved out to Texas. I have had a storage bin with Urbin for many years, no complaints. But I went to order a second one and was shocked they now charge $200 to pick up the bin once you have filled it. And $70 to deliver it. So if you wanted to get something out of your storage or add something it would be $270! Their model must work for them but not the prices they once had!

Besides the fact that their pricing model is transparent and upfront my favorite part is that the online appointment booking system makes the whole process so seamless and simple. Having used urBin's service for a couple of years now we had them deliver all the items to our new home in New Jersey. Highly recommend to all my friends!
